* We can take or leave the serial killing, or find an AU analogue for it that makes sense (ex., a more innocuous secret, something else that forces distance, etc.).

▎📓 for Light ➤ I just want him to form a substantial connection with another character that isn't for the sake of some goal, scheme, or other purely instrumental purpose. In most cases, this would be like trying to mix oil and water, but I think we could make it work!! I suspect the best types for this would be other men who are smart, equal parts driven and depressed, and somewhat competitive, or women who are all of this and can ignore/don't mind/would correct his deep-rooted sexism. I'd like it best if it isn't shippy from the get-go and let any romance (if it exists) develop on its own. I also like throwing him into philosophical and/or psychologically fraught conversations, so if you've got a meme or pitch that would be well-suited for that, hmu!

▎💻 for L ➤ I'm experimenting with him! I like writing him as a kind of "hollow person" who is difficult -- if not impossible -- to get to know, or to form a truly reciprocal/reciprocated intimacy with, so he's ideal if you'd like a thread that focuses specifically on your character and/or whatever's at stake between them. I genuinely cannot imagine shipping him with a character that isn't, like, Light, but I'm prepared to be surprised?! My kingdom if you come to me with a scenario that would see him constructing an entire persona to fit the situation/your character, but that may require a bit more discussion in advance (which I am very glad to have).

▎🖤 for Misa ➤ Look, I know she's canonically straight. I don't care. I'd also like her to form a substantial connection with another (preferably female!) character wherein her extremely broken conception of intimacy is at the very least acknowledged, if not slowly rectified. She's (for the most part) pretty easygoing and fun to be around, so I imagine she'd get along with a variety of different characters. That said, I'm most interested in throwing her at types that are similar to her (ex., other cheerful characters with tragic pasts and/or terrible secrets), or who are very, very different (ex., women who are more professional, reserved, or dedicated to a cause/organization).

▎☠️ for all three of them ➤ Canonmates would be supremely cool, but I know they're hard to come by! Still, if you've had a Death Note muse lying around for the last ten years... talk to me, lmao.

❤️ I really like coming up with off-the-cuff AUs, especially with crosscanon characters! My favorites run wild with stuff that canons have neglected -- characters' histories, motivations, and alternative directions for their development; bits and pieces of worldbuilding that don't make sense or aren't quite "done," etc. I love careful, organic slow burns, too, if you've got the patience for them, hehe.

❌ I don't write explicit content (sex, hard gore, etc.) and prefer not to discuss these OOC-ly, but I'm alright fading-to-black on such content if/when this makes sense. No underage romance, incest, physical abuse, etc.
