Oh, I love these ideas. A year or so since anyone's heard from Seifer at all, Squall's kind of running ragged because he won't listen to anyone to slow down anyway, politics are getting heated and everyone looking at Squall as a leader to deal with certain things. Them realizing they do need someone like Seifer around (as a competent Go To as well as getting Squall to fucking listen and rest but they don't tell him that) and as much as Squall wouldn't admit it, he agrees? Then Squall goes to look for him?

I think that could really work well! I'd be down for that 100%
