Fade Rift is a small game based on the Dragon Age game series (old time fantasy world mired in a war against an ancient evil hiding behind an army of imperial bad guys). From your checklist:

— slower to medium pace, very backtag friendly ✅ We're all old and have RL responsibilities. We all traditionally live in backtag land, and the ac system is structured to allow for lingering on big events.
— Plot-driven ✅ The game centers around a fantasy flavored war, and there's plenty of plot to opt into (or propose!) if you want to pursue it.
— Genre ✅ Fade Rift is predominantly mission based; I consider it pretty grounded fantasy in terms of tone
