96 anime is totally fine! i love how well they got down yaten's attitude in particular there, it's a beloved version/interpretation. i'm down with doing gen between yaten and seiya or a ship, but happy to tag yaten on a meme or two to see if we vibe at first. i really love the idea of a post-stars thing going on between them, but keeping them on earth— if only because like, hey, who wants to get rid of the 90s idol thing?
