FOR GAME ADS:

➤ Put an ad up with the characters / crew / pairings / fetish you want for your game under the correct game header. This meme is primarily going to be focused on DWRP games but IJ and LJ games are allowed.

➤ PLEASE NOTE A RULE CHANGE HERE. ABSOLUTELY NO obnoxious coding (no font size > size 4 or 3 "big" tags, no oversized banners (they must be 250px in height or less), no blinking text, no obnoxious table html that doesn't collapse easily, no sparklies, no large pictures). Use all the colors you like, but please remember 3 "big" tags is the limit and that's only for headers or title text rather than for all the text in an ad.

FOR GAME QUESTIONS:

➤ RPers interested in a game can create a header for the game and ask questions about that game that aren't easy to find on faqs, such as the actual pace vs. what's listed/what kind of plots are run/if the game leans more towards plotty or slice of life/if a game leans more towards network or logs, etc. Both anon questions and anon answers are welcome in this section just like in the rest of the meme.

➤ This thread is not for speaking about wank or drama in a game. There are anoncomms that exist for that. This thread is specifically for general questions about a game that rpers want to get perspective on from players already in the game. Answers can be slightly negative (such as saying app response is slow or that the plots are repetitive or similar things) but this should at least be worded politely. Unnecessary vitriol, any mention of personal drama or wank, or mod teams/individual mods/players being singled out, will be either frozen or screened (based on what seems right based on the content).

FOR CHARACTER ADS:

➤ Put up an ad about the characters you are offering. For PSL ads, there is a separate subthread but for character ads for games, post directly to the meme post. Others will comment to you with the games/casts they want you to join.

➤ There is a "Find a Castmate" section, where you can talk about a cast you play in at a game, and try to lure people to join it. Not all games post to the meme or have a "wanted" section, so players that want to tempt people to their cast on their own can use this section for it. Please format this the same as the PSL section, where you post your character's canons in your subject. For the actual text of the ad you must use the "Find a Castmate" form provided at the bottom of this post so that these ads don't get huge. When listing who's currently in a cast, please do this in sentence form (with commas) rather than in list form.

➤ There is a "Find Crosscanon" section, where you can talk about a character you play and and desired crosscanon for that character. Please make sure this is not too generalized a search, because just wanting general crosscanon can be accomplished with the other sections of the meme. This is for specific characters or character types you're looking for. In the subject, please list the "Looking for [canon you're looking for]" rather than your character's canon. If looking for a character type, list the character type in as few words as possible. Do not make the subject huge or I'll screen your comment. For the actual text of the ad you must use the "Find Crosscanon" form provided at the bottom of this post so that these ads don't get huge. This section is only for game crosscanon as in the psl section people can list their preferences.

➤ Examples of crosscanon you can search for: You play The Flash from DC Comics and your dream CR is fellow speedster Quicksilver from Marvel. Or you might play a witch and want cr with other witches in general. Or maybe you play a good character messed up by evil parents and want to play against a villain character you know has evil parents, because you know it'd lead to some interesting negative CR.

➤ ABSOLUTELY NO obnoxious coding, with the same rules as the Game Ads Section above.

➤ If you're recommending a game to someone, try to match your suggestion to their needs. It's okay if part of your game rec is copy-pasted (such as what the game's about), but at least some part of the rec must be personalized to their ad. Try not to recommend the same game to every single ad, either. Ad spam that isn't individualized in some way will also be frozen or screened. Keep in mind this needs to be more specific than "this game has easy AC like you're asking for but meets none of your other requirements." Make sure you're advertising games that might click with that specific character, where a few elements fit what they're looking for. You should be thinking about the story reasons of how the character might click with the game.

IN GENERAL:

➤ Don't be a dick. This isn't one of the anoncomms, so any snide comments or unnecessary commentary on the RP plans of others will be frozen or screened.

➤ All mod responses regardless of whether they're rule breaks, correction requests (like someone posting in the wrong section), or thwapping someone for spamming copy-paste ads, have always been and will almost universally be public. If someone sends a PM and the conversation gets combative, this will also be made public and posted to the comments of the mod contact page. This is for the sake of transparency so people can judge the emp mod's communications for fairness themselves.

There are times where the player's post may be screened (such as if they posted to the wrong section) but the mod's response will be left unscreened.

➤ Players may sometimes be allowed more than one strike for copy-paste ads since this is often just enthusiasm behind it, but game mods should know better. They'll get one warning for copy-paste ads, and if they spam anymore copy-paste ads after the warning, they'll be banned from the meme.

For G'raha - I would like shippy things with G'raha, but gen is nice too, I'm still voicetesting so would just like the chance to figure him out. WOLs are agiven because he obviously loves the wol, I have a slight preference for m/m but m/f is fine. Any other canonmates or crosscanon I'm open to, I have no particular ships for him yet so I'd love to see what develops. ~~Would be interested in something slightly fucked up with Emet-Selch ngl~~
Plot-wise I love all the classic tropes - hurt/comfort, soulmates, arranged marriage, fake dating etc - and I also enjoy AUs, a couple of thoughts I have had are Actual Allagan Prince G'raha, and modern AU PhD student.
For awareness, I'm right at the end of the post-shadowbringers quests and about to start endwalker, so please no spoilers (though given how much I'm playing at the moment it won't be THAT long before I'm caught up lol)

For Prompto - Canonmates are love! For shipping or gen. I ship him with all of the chocobros fairly equally, but also would love to explore other canon ships. Also have a soft spot for Prompto/Ardyn ~~esp daddy kink~~ - whether weirdly wholesome enemies to lovers or something a little more twisted.
Crosscanon would also be fun, open to anything!
Like with G'raha I like all the classic tropes - hurt/comfort, soulmates, arranged marriage, fake dating etc - and, again, AUs.
With Prompto I really like exploring the magitek/clone angle and all the feels surrounding it (magitek!Prompto AU is a particular favourite) and also I quite like digging into the whole neglected-by-his-parents thing.

I would never say no to an opportunity to gently ~~tease~~ ~~torment~~ shower G'raha with the adoration he deserves.

<3 And G'raha would never say no to an opportunity to trail after the warrior of light with starry eyes.

Do you have any particular tropes/set ups/thoughts you like? Or are there any memes that currently strike your fancy?

Also just for information; style-wise I have a pretty variable tagging rate - I can be super quick or sometimes take a few days depending on if I'm busy or how my brain is treating me, but I'll backtag into forever and am usually pretty good at letting people know if I need to drop a thread, I am GMT but usually up pretty late (especially at the weekend), and I prefer prose but I don't mind brackets if you prefer them. I tend towards longer tags, though I will do shorter ones if the writing calls for it rather than bulking out a tag for the sake of it, most of the time I roughly match up with whoever I'm tagging against.

I am also an enjoyer of the classic tropes - particularly soulmate, arranged marriage. Although I love AUs and will greedily eat them up. But I'm up to meet whatever you would like.

Don't worry about tagging speed/styles. I have a pretty strenuous job so I get just being tired and not feeling up with it. You can always DM me or even hit me up on discord for things and it's nbd. I prefer brackets, just because I tend to parse that better but it's fine. Longer tags are good. I also tend to match tag lengthafdsfasdf

I also love AUs haha, for me RP is a lot about exploring the things you don't get in canon which is why I so enjoy a lot of shipping and AU haha.

So, having a think, here are a few ideas that have popped up in my head that might be interesting, if any of these take your fancy;

Soulmate AU with some kind of soulmate-identifying marks. Maybe G'raha knows that Theo is his soulmate or maybe he doesn't, but if the mark was on his right arm then it would have been covered by the crystal during his time on the First, so there's a little uncertainty about what that meant until he's woken up with his memories afterwards and now it's back but either it's awkward to bring up (if he does know) or he's sort of still dealing with the idea that he does have a soulmate after all and he doesn't know what to do about it. Not sure how much mileage there is in the idea necessarily but it's a chance for some angst and weirdness and romantic dumbassery.
Arranged marriage AU with G'raha as an actual prince - maybe being offered in marriage to the warrior of light after he saves somebody important/the entire country/the entire world, or maybe something like Allag is still around but they keep to themselves and the Eorzan alliance would really super like them to join, but Allag are like 'okay we'll join your alliance... if the warrior of light marries our prince'

-(literally also just thought - bodyguard AU/romance with G'raha as an actual prince and Theo as his protector)

Modern/'real world' AU - I'm open to pretty much anything with this I'd just have G'raha as a grad/PhD student, but the thought I had (if it works for you) was Theo as like a famous actor or something, and he's doing research for a role and it happens to be in G'raha's field/specialty so he comes to him for help with it and G'raha is trying to Be Cool because he's a huge fan of Theo's work. This can be full on 'these people in our world' or a bit more 'ffxiv setting is just more modern/like our world' so they're still miq'ote/viera and all the kind of... cultural lore is still roughly the same, if that makes sense.

Happy to suggest other things if none of them strike your fancy, or to mix and match any elements or change things up a bit.

I'm happy to do brackets if they're just a bit easier for you to read/parse, it's no issue <3

I'm always up for G'raha getting to hang with any wols for shippy or gen, and I wouldn't say no to gen stuff with Aranea because I love how she looks after my boy in episode Prompto. It might be tough love but it works! XD

Episode Prompto is fire for a reason and most of it is Aranea. I've always loved that tough love big sis thing she had going on with him. Maybe a magitek prompto AU?

For Val, she's kind of... guileless and tends to take people at face value. I've always wanted to have castmates save her from herself -- she has missing family and it wouldn't be hard for someone to be like "OH YEAH I'M YOUR LONG LOST FAMILY" and she'd just... go with it... It's not like she remembers anything anyway lmao

Oooh, yes. Aranea finds what she thinks is a broken down MT, but then she realises it's a person and like... drags him out of there. Then while looking after him realises he's an MT and a person ~~and he's basically imprinted on her like a duckling~~

And Val, ooh g'raha could be away doing a thing and he gets back and Val is like look I have found my family isn't it great and g'raha is like.... I don't know how to admit to you that I have done extensive amounts of research on your life to a probably unhealthy degree and I do actually know what happened to your family and this person isn't it.

If you're not inundated, I've got a WoL. (Sadly with a PB, not icons from game, because I'm not good at getting good screenshots OR making icons.) He's a tank main who is friendly and helpful and keeps trying all the other jobs/crafts in between saving the world, and is abjectly terrible at all of them. He is good at getting the monster to chase him, and that is all. He's an Elzen.

Or if preferred, I have an Ignis for Prom! He can be from mid-game or after the time jump, whichever you like. Or au!

I can do both. Besont is a big softy, very lanky and tall and low-key crushes on all the scions basically without doing anything about it. I think G'raha was the first one he realized he was doing it though.

How far forward do you prefer to play G'raha? I'm good with any canonpoint up to the current end game, but might be fun to play flirty and talking around between the Crystal Towers levels, and then jump forward to Shadowbringers time?

Iggy maybe first realizing it during game time and trying to sneak around a little to not disturb Gladio and Noct? Maybe some furtive flirty texting and stuff before the 10 year sad times. Or possibly them getting close while Prom helps Iggy after his eyes?

So in early in endwalker now, I have been defaulting to G'raha at a nebulous somewhere around post-shadowbringers patches, but I'm totally open to crustal Tower, during shadowbringers or whenever else or all of the above

Furtive flirty texting sounds cute, maybe it could be like... they had a sort of flirty text thing going and then the thing happens with his eyes and there's maybe some uncertainty? Like prompto is focused on looking after him and figures he has too much to worry about to continue to entertain prompto's little crush so he stays professional, but ignis thinks that means he's not interested anymore and they're both pining for a bit until they figure it out XD

I'm up for post Shadowbringers too, but Crystal Tower could be cute, since G'raha there is younger and more playful, then we can play out the difference in SB, where maybe it's reversed a bit and Besont tries to bring out his playfulness more instead of vice-versa?
