May EMP Meme
FOR GAME ADS: ➤ Put an ad up with the characters / crew / pairings / fetish you want for your game under the correct game header. This meme is primarily going to be focused on DWRP games but IJ and LJ games are allowed. ➤ PLEASE NOTE A RULE CHANGE HERE. ABSOLUTELY NO obnoxious coding (no font size > size 4 or 3 "big" tags, no oversized banners (they must be 250px in height or less), no blinking text, no obnoxious table html that doesn't collapse easily, no sparklies, no large pictures). Use all the colors you like, but please remember 3 "big" tags is the limit and that's only for headers or title text rather than for all the text in an ad. FOR GAME QUESTIONS: ➤ RPers interested in a game can create a header for the game and ask questions about that game that aren't easy to find on faqs, such as the actual pace vs. what's listed/what kind of plots are run/if the game leans more towards plotty or slice of life/if a game leans more towards network or logs, etc. Both anon questions and anon answers are welcome in this section just like in the rest of the meme. ➤ This thread is not for speaking about wank or drama in a game. There are anoncomms that exist for that. This thread is specifically for general questions about a game that rpers want to get perspective on from players already in the game. Answers can be slightly negative (such as saying app response is slow or that the plots are repetitive or similar things) but this should at least be worded politely. Unnecessary vitriol, any mention of personal drama or wank, or mod teams/individual mods/players being singled out, will be either frozen or screened (based on what seems right based on the content). FOR CHARACTER ADS: ➤ Put up an ad about the characters you are offering. For PSL ads, there is a separate subthread but for character ads for games, post directly to the meme post. Others will comment to you with the games/casts they want you to join. ➤ There is a "Find a Castmate" section, where you can talk about a cast you play in at a game, and try to lure people to join it. Not all games post to the meme or have a "wanted" section, so players that want to tempt people to their cast on their own can use this section for it. Please format this the same as the PSL section, where you post your character's canons in your subject. For the actual text of the ad you must use the "Find a Castmate" form provided at the bottom of this post so that these ads don't get huge. When listing who's currently in a cast, please do this in sentence form (with commas) rather than in list form. ➤ There is a "Find Crosscanon" section, where you can talk about a character you play and and desired crosscanon for that character. Please make sure this is not too generalized a search, because just wanting general crosscanon can be accomplished with the other sections of the meme. This is for specific characters or character types you're looking for. In the subject, please list the "Looking for [canon you're looking for]" rather than your character's canon. If looking for a character type, list the character type in as few words as possible. Do not make the subject huge or I'll screen your comment. For the actual text of the ad you must use the "Find Crosscanon" form provided at the bottom of this post so that these ads don't get huge. This section is only for game crosscanon as in the psl section people can list their preferences. ➤ Examples of crosscanon you can search for: You play The Flash from DC Comics and your dream CR is fellow speedster Quicksilver from Marvel. Or you might play a witch and want cr with other witches in general. Or maybe you play a good character messed up by evil parents and want to play against a villain character you know has evil parents, because you know it'd lead to some interesting negative CR. ➤ ABSOLUTELY NO obnoxious coding, with the same rules as the Game Ads Section above. ➤ If you're recommending a game to someone, try to match your suggestion to their needs. It's okay if part of your game rec is copy-pasted (such as what the game's about), but at least some part of the rec must be personalized to their ad. Try not to recommend the same game to every single ad, either. Ad spam that isn't individualized in some way will also be frozen or screened. Keep in mind this needs to be more specific than "this game has easy AC like you're asking for but meets none of your other requirements." Make sure you're advertising games that might click with that specific character, where a few elements fit what they're looking for. You should be thinking about the story reasons of how the character might click with the game. IN GENERAL: ➤ Don't be a dick. This isn't one of the anoncomms, so any snide comments or unnecessary commentary on the RP plans of others will be frozen or screened. ➤ All mod responses regardless of whether they're rule breaks, correction requests (like someone posting in the wrong section), or thwapping someone for spamming copy-paste ads, have always been and will almost universally be public. If someone sends a PM and the conversation gets combative, this will also be made public and posted to the comments of the mod contact page. This is for the sake of transparency so people can judge the emp mod's communications for fairness themselves. There are times where the player's post may be screened (such as if they posted to the wrong section) but the mod's response will be left unscreened. ➤ Players may sometimes be allowed more than one strike for copy-paste ads since this is often just enthusiasm behind it, but game mods should know better. They'll get one warning for copy-paste ads, and if they spam anymore copy-paste ads after the warning, they'll be banned from the meme. MOD CONTACT: If there's trouble, tell me HERE, please! I will not pay attention to IPs otherwise. I don't care what people like playing or who's who. So please feel comfortable to keep doing your thing, anon or otherwise. MAGISTERIA is a multi-genre game, set in a universe that is primarily a blend of cyberpunk and fantasy. Cosmic beings and ancient spirits are juxtaposed against hyper advanced technology and those who love it (sometimes in all senses of the word). The world is populated by colorful personalities and diverse natives who are not shy about advocating for the Institutions known as The Order of Mysterium and The Council for Technological Advancement which Otherworlders find themselves steered towards.
The game has some soft faction elements, with some events focusing on intra-team play. However, the game has regular network posts and mini-games which are OTA, and the current questboard also features OTA opportunities.

Beautiful Dreamer is an AU game based on the mahou shoujo genre, pulling specifically from the magical warrior subgenre with influences from classics like Sailor Moon and more modern takes such as Yuki Yuna and Blue Reflection.
Set primarily in the fictional city of Yumemigaoka, Japan, BD takes place in a setting split between two worlds: the Waking World that we call reality and the Dream Sphere, a world of magic where dreams and nightmares take on a very real form that threatens the stability of everyday life. The ones who keep this stability in balance are Dreamers, magical warriors who can traverse the Dream Sphere and are tasked with protecting both worlds from that which would threaten them.
The game is split between exploration, in which characters can explore the Dream Sphere and discover all sorts of strange and fantastical places and modern day, with players are encouraged to invest as strongly in their characters' time in the Waking World as they do in the Dream Sphere. Grow your bonds with everyone, flex your imagination, explore the deeper mysteries of the Dream Sphere and make your dreams reality!
Beautiful Dreamer is open to everyone and you do not require any sort of invite or referral to throw your hat into the ring. We accept characters of all ages and genders from all sorts of wild and wacky canons, so feel free to throw your hat in the ring!

PLUVIOSA - Classic jamjar style light horror
PLUVIOSA
Pluviosa is a horror game set on a long-abandoned cruise ship - although it's not exactly accurate to call it abandoned when it's full Life After Humans going on inside. Subthemes include body horror/corruption, psychological horror, mystery, exploration, in-universe unreality, and atmospheric horror; the tone is Nausicaa aesthetic meets Jurassic Park with a little bit of Locked Tomb for spice. Characters wake up on a strange ship full of unnaturally vibrant vegetation, decrepit mechanisms, and ghosts, and must assemble information to eventually solve the mysteries behind the ship and put these ghosts to rest if they are to have any hope of returning home.

STICKS AND BONES - a panfandom fantasy horror jamjar
erhaps you were simply going about your day, or perhaps you were in the middle of some life-changing fight, staring down death. Perhaps you're already dead. Either way, you hear a voice whispering somewhere in the back of your mind: "Do you want to play with me?"
It does not wait for an answer.
You wake up in the center of a small settlement in a dark, dreary forest- it's clearly been abandoned, given the incomplete state of several buildings. The General Store has it's lights on still, but the shopkeep is wary of his new patrons. And when you try to leave, something keeps you there. You're here to play, after all- it wouldn't do if you went home too early, would it?
AMANI: AN 18+ GAMEBOX SINULATION
WE'RE HAPPY YOU'RE HERE.
Characters will help design and influence this new virtual reality by demonstrating 'peaceful' interactions amongst one another. The closer the bonds you forge with others, the more your character will be able to gain and influence their surroundings. Paving the way for a peaceful future is paramount, after all, and deserves to be rewarded.
While Amani is, first and foremost, a silly smutty gamebox that operates with stamps as currency that's definitely not all it is! It has elements of horror, sci-fi, and fantasy themes... as well as strange eldritch multiversal happenings.
Amani is an 18+ and invite-only gamebox that works on a claim (first come, first serve) system rather than traditional applications. If you like what you see, claim a character and join the sinulation permanently. Player cap has been and is flexible depending on interest though currently capped at forty players with plenty of spots left!
The Revival Project

The Drift Fleet was renowned across the galaxy as the intergalactic reality show to follow. For centuries people have been taken away from their homes, pulled from multiple universes and from multiple times, and watched like a bug under glass for the amusement of faceless aliens. But what was entertainment for some was hope to another - for one race desperately needing help, The Drift Fleet was an answered prayer. For you it will be the start of a whole new adventure.
Where is this planet? Well, no one is quite sure of that, yet. When you arrive, you encounter a glowing orb that harmlessly downloads information directly into your mind. What you learn from it is this:
This planet is now home for you. Centuries have passed since anyone has been able to live here, though. Agra 10 is a dying world thanks to inexplicable and debilitating energy storms that have destroyed everything in their paths, including the Agrii people. Once, this proud race of millions had a thriving world full of advanced and sophisticated technology. The storms cut that number down to hundreds, huddled together in the heart of their capital, Temba.
That is where you are now.
The Agrii are now gone and Temba is the most intact area left (which says a lot about the rest of the planet). The orb is a Data Point left by the departing aliens to tell their story. But how did you get here? Why are you here? What are you supposed to be doing?
That is all for you to discover. The Agrii’s hope and your own survival is now in your hands. This isn’t a show anymore. It’s not a game.
No, but really. What is this game?
The Revival Project is a jamjar game that picks up after The Drift Fleet concludes. While it is a spin-off game, it is only loosely connected to the plot there and anyone can join regardless of their presence in The Drift Fleet. NO prior knowledge of The Drift Fleet is necessary to play.
From what you’ve discovered so far, your character has been brought to Agra 10, a destroyed planet that has been abandoned for centuries. You will soon learn that your mission here is to rebuild the capital city and the rest of this once-proud world. The Agrii, who remain off-world, have found that outsiders are somehow partially immune to the energy storms that massacred their population. Because of this, they will continue to find the best helpers from every universe to bring here. Lucky you are among those chosen.
In addition to rebuilding the planet, there is another task you must undertake. After all of the chaos that has splintered them for decades, the Agrii no longer fully understand what it means to be part of a community. Watching The Drift Fleet was the only lesson they had to help them relearn how to function as a cohesive society once more. So while you work together and even (eventually) travel to distant worlds, know that you have fans watching and learning from your every move. And don’t be surprised if they even reach out (although their English leaves much to be desired).
TRP is structured as a slice-of-life, adventure, and survival game where you have the opportunity to pick whichever of those elements you wish and avoid those that you do not. Whichever path your character travels here is entirely up to you.
As the game progresses, events will uncover larger and perhaps surprising truths about your new home and the race that brought you here. Not all is what it seems. There will be plenty of opportunity to take advantage of the setting; how you do so is yours to decide.
Welcome to The Revival Project!

Interest Check: dark academia blended with science fiction with a time bending twist
Every 31 days, the meteor collides again, and it seems to rip open time and space, accidentally tearing people and things away from other universes to populate Newcomb. While the original scholars of Newcomb have long passed, their university is still in beautifully functioning condition, ready to be taken advantage of by the new people dragged into the situation.
This apocalyptic meteor tends to distort the campus in challenging ways whether drastically impacting the weather, bringing in violent creatures, bending time and reality, and so much more. Characters will need to adjust to the new setting and brace themselves for the meteor, but with each strike of the meteor comes new information about their situation.
It seems as if the scholars of Newcomb knew their legacy would be carried on through these alien interlopers forced in from worlds beyond.
Genre: Dark academic setting and vibes with a focus on scholastic activities in addition to heavy science fiction tropes. There will be apocalyptic elements and themes of psychological thrills. Occasional horror may make an appearance. There will be very rare instances of fantasy.
Structure: This game is intended to have monthly events, monthly TDMs, memes, and activity checks. It will be an open game and will not require invites to join. The overall rating of the game will be generally for mature audiences. Players are welcome to play out violence, sex, and substance use at will, but those themes will be used sparingly in events with violence the most likely.
Academic Setting: Characters will join the setting and take up the position of "student" or "faculty" upon entry. Characters can be professors, janitorial staff, cooks, and groundskeepers, or they can strictly stick to hitting the books. There will be dorms for the students and townhomes & apartments for faculty.
Although there is an overall story, one can also expect academic events such as dances, competitions, parties, sports events, and more. Players will be heavily encouraged to participate in the setting with what their characters would typically do in academia.
Self-Reliant Community: Everything a small community could need to survive is preserved in this time loop. The campus has an incredible agriculture program that includes crops, several greenhouses, and livestock. The science center provides an internet connection and electricity. There is a medical center on the campus as well as security.
AI presence: An artificial intelligence program has been left behind to help guide and maintain the campus. This AI program will have a similar presence as Hal in 2001: A Space Odyssey...Except maybe this time it isn't corrupt. Cross your fingers!
Mysterious Circumstances: There will be plenty of story-rich involvement for characters. The more active players are during an event, the more likely they will get to enjoy unveiled documents from past scholars to help build what truly happened with the meteor and at Newcomb University. Events will generally serve as enrichment to the setting and plot rather than being completely randomized. Documents provided by the AI program will be uploaded to the Archives for characters to study.
Projections: There is a general plan to have the first TDM ready for June depending on interest checks. You can keep up to date with more information on plurk newcomb
While there is an overall storyline for the game, there is no current deadline for when the game might "end" especially since story progression will only be available ala consistent participation from players. The game is intended to last for many years (hopefully!).
I can't think of anything else right now but if you have any questions or comments or just wanna state your interest, that would be amazing! Thanks! Hope this sounds interesting to some folks.
You can check out our full interest check including prospective player discussion here.
Re: Interest Check: dark academia blended with science fiction with a time bending twist

Many events and the storyline itself are going to be inspired by actual scientific theories, thought experiments, and paradoxical theories to reflect the unfortunate nature of the time loop. For example, using elements of the Dark Forest theory as a persistent theme throughout the game which suggests:
There will be several events wherein characters will be able to physically engage with different points in time both from their own life and the past/future of Newcomb University. These events, along with the previously mentioned, will be critical in patching together the information surrounding what happened and what characters can hope to do about it.
There will be some more straightforward events that involve bizarre weather caused by the meteor or unusual creatures or flora being unleashed on campus through the event. So, characters who are a bit more used to fighting monsters and problem-solving in a more tangible sense will have plenty of time to shine as well.
In addition to all the above, there will be academic-inspired events too! Things like dances, parties, academic competitions, sporting events, festivals, and more!
We know this isn't an overly specific response, but we do hope it helps to paint a clear picture of what you can expect (generally) from events!
