ENABLEMEPLZ meme goes up on the Second Saturday of every month FOR GAME ADS: ➤ Put an ad up with the characters / crew / pairings / fetish you want for your game under the correct game header. This meme is primarily going to be focused on DWRP games but IJ and LJ games are allowed. ➤ PLEASE NOTE A RULE CHANGE HERE. ABSOLUTELY NO obnoxious coding (no font size > size 4 or 3 "big" tags, no oversized banners (they must be 250px in height or less), no blinking text, no obnoxious table html that doesn't collapse easily, no sparklies, no large pictures). Use all the colors you like, but please remember 3 "big" tags is the limit and that's only for headers or title text rather than for all the text in an ad. FOR GAME QUESTIONS: ➤ RPers interested in a game can create a header for the game and ask questions about that game that aren't easy to find on faqs, such as the actual pace vs. what's listed/what kind of plots are run/if the game leans more towards plotty or slice of life/if a game leans more towards network or logs, etc. Both anon questions and anon answers are welcome in this section just like in the rest of the meme. ➤ This thread is not for speaking about wank or drama in a game. There are anoncomms that exist for that. This thread is specifically for general questions about a game that rpers want to get perspective on from players already in the game. Answers can be slightly negative (such as saying app response is slow or that the plots are repetitive or similar things) but this should at least be worded politely. Unnecessary vitriol, any mention of personal drama or wank, or mod teams/individual mods/players being singled out, will be either frozen or screened (based on what seems right based on the content). FOR CHARACTER ADS: ➤ Put up an ad about the characters you are offering. For PSL ads, there is a separate subthread but for character ads for games, post directly to the meme post. Others will comment to you with the games/casts they want you to join. ➤ There is a "Find a Castmate" section, where you can talk about a cast you play in at a game, and try to lure people to join it. Not all games post to the meme or have a "wanted" section, so players that want to tempt people to their cast on their own can use this section for it. Please format this the same as the PSL section, where you post your character's canons in your subject. For the actual text of the ad you must use the "Find a Castmate" form provided at the bottom of this post so that these ads don't get huge. When listing who's currently in a cast, please do this in sentence form (with commas) rather than in list form. ➤ There is a "Find Crosscanon" section, where you can talk about a character you play and and desired crosscanon for that character. Please make sure this is not too generalized a search, because just wanting general crosscanon can be accomplished with the other sections of the meme. This is for specific characters or character types you're looking for. In the subject, please list the "Looking for [canon you're looking for]" rather than your character's canon. If looking for a character type, list the character type in as few words as possible. Do not make the subject huge or I'll screen your comment. For the actual text of the ad you must use the "Find Crosscanon" form provided at the bottom of this post so that these ads don't get huge. This section is only for game crosscanon as in the psl section people can list their preferences. ➤ Examples of crosscanon you can search for: You play The Flash from DC Comics and your dream CR is fellow speedster Quicksilver from Marvel. Or you might play a witch and want cr with other witches in general. Or maybe you play a good character messed up by evil parents and want to play against a villain character you know has evil parents, because you know it'd lead to some interesting negative CR. ➤ ABSOLUTELY NO obnoxious coding, with the same rules as the Game Ads Section above. ➤ If you're recommending a game to someone, try to match your suggestion to their needs. It's okay if part of your game rec is copy-pasted (such as what the game's about), but at least some part of the rec must be personalized to their ad. Try not to recommend the same game to every single ad, either. Ad spam that isn't individualized in some way will also be frozen or screened. Keep in mind this needs to be more specific than "this game has easy AC like you're asking for but meets none of your other requirements." Make sure you're advertising games that might click with that specific character, where a few elements fit what they're looking for. You should be thinking about the story reasons of how the character might click with the game. IN GENERAL: ➤ Don't be a dick. This isn't one of the anoncomms, so any snide comments or unnecessary commentary on the RP plans of others will be frozen or screened. ➤ All mod responses regardless of whether they're rule breaks, correction requests (like someone posting in the wrong section), or thwapping someone for spamming copy-paste ads, have always been and will almost universally be public. If someone sends a PM and the conversation gets combative, this will also be made public and posted to the comments of the mod contact page. This is for the sake of transparency so people can judge the emp mod's communications for fairness themselves. There are times where the player's post may be screened (such as if they posted to the wrong section) but the mod's response will be left unscreened. ➤ Players may sometimes be allowed more than one strike for copy-paste ads since this is often just enthusiasm behind it, but game mods should know better. Yeah, so, uh... how about that 2.2 story, huh?

I am very open right now to any and all castmates, including ones not listed here! It was very hard to not just list the entire Penacony, Astral Express, and Stellaron Hunters casts, but for the sake of not posting a giant ad that'd stretch out the whole page once expanded, here are just a handful of things that I'm looking for. Spoilers below!

Please feel free to message me if you're interested in writing a character not listed here, though — I can definitely think of plot hooks for Caelus to interact with Acheron, Firefly, Dr. Ratio, Dan Heng, and uh, just about everyone, but I wanted to list some immediately accessible ideas!

SUNDAY/CAELUS

Look... I am so insane about Suncae right now... I might not be able to get through listening to "Hope Is The Thing Without Feathers" without crying?? I might never be okay again?? What a wholesome and uplifting story?? Anyway, I am a massive sucker for protagonist/villain ships where both are intensely sympathetic to the other but neither can agree on the end outcomes and this is exactly what Sunday/Caelus has blessed me with. I am now seeking people to join me in unbridled insanity. I do think Sunday was really well-written (as in, neurotic but you can see the trajectory of his neuroses and why he is exactly the way that he is), but I sort of think that all the rebuttals of his argument (from every character) fell flat for some reason, and I'd like to explore it from a different angle — I think the core of the argument between Sunday and the Astral Express really shouldn't be whether or not it's acceptable to live life in a perfect dream (though that in itself is not wrong, and the philosophy of the Trailblaze will always be to face life without fear), but rather that there's no sense in Sunday's paradise if he himself doesn't get to enjoy it... My particular take on Caelus is that he's deeply empathetic when he's not being silly and I just want someone to tell Sunday that the one who needs infinite Sundays is him, okay. Like that is my big craving: Caelus, a guy who cares way too much about other people, telling Sunday, a guy who cares way too much about other people, to stop fucking caring so much about other people.

Anyway, I know that Sunday's current status is deeply ambiguous right now, but this is what RP is for, we can write our own canon. We can either write them meeting up somewhere in Penacony or outside of Penacony, or maybe some canon-divergent thing where Robin has asked Sunday to hide on the Astral Express until they've sorted out the whole thing politically... This could also lean into some "Sunday almost became an Aeon" vs. "the Trailblazer is Akivili" and "Stellaron vs. Stellaron" theory type stuff if you're into that, but the lore isn't that important to the ship. I mostly just want them to argue about personal philosophy and have Caelus beat self-care into Sunday by hitting him with a train, but I also want Sunday to just have a peaceful, idyllic Sunday and have a goddamn Halovian Burger and some ice cream or something. Maybe play some fucking video games for the first time or whatever. I am seeking intense hurt/comfort where Sunday gets to be comforted, okay!! Going insane because he is the dead caged bird that he's obsessed with and he doesn't even realize it!! Going insane every day!! By the way, my tastes lean pretty vanilla for this, and honestly, I'd do it without an explicit ship between them, but I am also thoroughly okay with this having a smutty angle, and I'm open to whatever crazy mind-melding or emotion-sharing powers you may want Sunday to have. We love it when he invokes the psychedelic trial of God, in bed or otherwise.

AVENTURINE/CAELUS

I've generally been playing this in a flavor where Aventurine winds up as a Nameless on the Express after his adventure, and I'm definitely still open to that for anyone who likes that outcome! That being said, it's not quite what we're getting from canon, but I am still very thirsty for this ship... Their new text conversations are cute, and I think it'd be nice for Aventurine to just get to do non-stressful things for a little while! Just have a cute date with Caelus, spoil him rotten... Let gifts be Aventurine's love language?! They can go shopping for clothes Caelus would otherwise never be able to afford, and have some nice things to eat, and either talk about their feelings or just leave things comfortably unsaid. I like the idea of Caelus being a person who's pretty good at reading Aventurine despite his attempts to obfuscate his real feelings ("I knew you were losing on purpose" living rent-free in my head right now), but I also like the comfort of Aventurine knowing that Caelus won't push or ask questions that Aventurine isn't comfortable answering, and I think there's actually something rather comforting about the thought that Caelus does not know about Aventurine's history as an Avgin or a former slave and therefore won't judge him on those grounds. What if the message from Caelus ("Hope to see you again soon") was the first thing Aventurine saw when he got back... I dunno! I've got a lot of feelings about these two! If you're not super sure about jumping into this as a ship, we can just throw them together on a meme and see what happens!

BLACK SWAN & CAELUS

Okay, I have to admit, this is a hilariously self-indulgent request, despite that this isn't, like, a ship? But Black Swan is very sweet to the Trailblazer (she's sweet to everyone, I suppose) and I think it's so funny that she offered to light candles and aromatics and tell him a bedtime story and I'm like. We could do this, actually. I'm a big sucker for platonic affection and I think it'd be cute if she just kinda mothered him for a little bit... Ruffle his hair and read his star chart or something... Again, it wouldn't actually be shippy, but I think it'd be cute if we could make a platonic pampering session between Black Swan and Caelus happen! I am also open to having Caelus being the one who tries to prepare something nice and comfy and cozy for Black Swan instead, perhaps as thanks for all her help in the Penacony situation, though in that case he'll be somewhat (hopefully charmingly) clumsy about it. Let me know if this strikes your interest, too!

ROBIN & CAELUS

Well, after all that happened, I feel like Robin needs... um, a day off? A Sunday? An infinite procession of Sundays? Not her actual brother though, he has caused her way too many problems for one lifetime — I'm just messing around. I do not have a Sunday for Robin, but I could promise Robin a fun day off with Caelus instead, with someone who wouldn't see her as a famous idol but just a friend who knows how to have a good time. Makeup and singing and girly things are definitely on the table; so are video games and sports and lots of other things she might not normally have time for! Let me know if you'd like to do anything fun with Robin and Caelus!

MISHA & GALLAGHER & CAELUS

I'm not crying over the Nameless... you're crying over the Nameless... anyway, um, again, I know Misha's and Gallagher's statuses are somewhat ambiguous after the end of the story, but I'm more than happy to kind of handwave those details to explore more of their character relationships! I'd love to write about Caelus talking to Misha/Mikhail and his past adventures and what he did in Penacony, and all his lovely little friends like Clockie and the origami birds; with Gallagher, I think some interesting conversations about Caelus taking up the Watchmaker's mantle (and hat) could be had, perhaps with some jokes about inheriting his loyal hound, too. I also like the idea of Caelus serving Gallagher drinks or vice versa at the Dreamjolt Hostelry, maybe with a few cameos from Siobhan and our favorite monster friends, too. Let me know if you'd be down for this with either character!
