FOR GAME ADS:

➤ Put an ad up with the characters / crew / pairings / fetish you want for your game under the correct game header. This meme is primarily going to be focused on DWRP games but IJ and LJ games are allowed.

➤ PLEASE NOTE A RULE CHANGE HERE. ABSOLUTELY NO obnoxious coding (no font size > size 4 or 3 "big" tags, no oversized banners (they must be 250px in height or less), no blinking text, no obnoxious table html that doesn't collapse easily, no fonts and other html that make ads super long, no sparklies, no large pictures). Use all the colors you like, but please remember 3 "big" tags is the limit and that's only for headers or title text rather than for all the text in an ad.

FOR GAME QUESTIONS:

➤ RPers interested in a game can create a header for the game and ask questions about that game that aren't easy to find on faqs, such as the actual pace vs. what's listed/what kind of plots are run/if the game leans more towards plotty or slice of life/if a game leans more towards network or logs, etc. Both anon questions and anon answers are welcome in this section just like in the rest of the meme.

➤ This thread is not for speaking about wank or drama in a game. There are anoncomms that exist for that. This thread is specifically for general questions about a game that rpers want to get perspective on from players already in the game. Answers can be slightly negative (such as saying app response is slow or that the plots are repetitive or similar things) but this should at least be worded politely. Unnecessary vitriol, any mention of personal drama or wank, or mod teams/individual mods/players being singled out, will be either frozen or screened (based on what seems right based on the content).

FOR CHARACTER ADS:

➤ Put up an ad about the characters you are offering. For PSL ads, there is a separate subthread but for character ads for games, post directly to the meme post. Others will comment to you with the games/casts they want you to join.

➤ There is a "Find a Castmate" section, where you can talk about a cast you play in at a game, and try to lure people to join it. Not all games post to the meme or have a "wanted" section, so players that want to tempt people to their cast on their own can use this section for it. Please format this the same as the PSL section, where you post your character's canon in your subject. For the actual text of the ad you must use the "Find a Castmate" form provided at the bottom of this post so that these ads don't get huge. When listing who's currently in a cast, please do this in sentence form (with commas) rather than in list form.

➤ There is a "Find Crosscanon" section, where you can talk about a character you play and and desired crosscanon for that character. Please make sure this is not too generalized a search, because just wanting general crosscanon can be accomplished with the other sections of the meme. This is for specific characters or character types you're looking for. In the subject, please list the "Looking for [canon you're looking for]" rather than your character's canon. If looking for a character type, list the character type in as few words as possible. Do not make the subject huge or I'll screen your comment. For the actual text of the ad you must use the "Find Crosscanon" form provided at the bottom of this post so that these ads don't get huge. This section is only for game crosscanon as in the psl section people can list their preferences.

➤ Examples of crosscanon you can search for: You play The Flash from DC Comics and your dream CR is fellow speedster Quicksilver from Marvel. Or you might play a witch and want cr with other witches in general. Or maybe you play a good character messed up by evil parents and want to play against a villain character you know has evil parents, because you know it'd lead to some interesting negative CR.

➤ There is a "Pairings You Want to Play" section, where you can ask for castmates or crosscanon you'd like to ship with. Please format this with "[YOUR CANON] seeking [CASTMATE/OTHER CANON (if crosscanon)/SEE DESCRIPTION (if a general character type)]. For the actual text of the ad you must use the "Pairings You Want to Play" form provided at the bottom of this post so that these ads don't get huge. Alongside castmates and crosscanon, you can choose to ask for OCs or general character types as well. Try not to get too wordy and please don't outline entire scenarios.

➤ ABSOLUTELY NO obnoxious coding, with the same rules as the Game Ads Section above.

➤ If you're recommending a game to someone, try to match your suggestion to their needs. It's okay if part of your game rec is copy-pasted (such as what the game's about), but at least some part of the rec must be personalized to their ad. Try not to recommend the same game to every single ad, either. Ad spam that isn't individualized in some way will also be frozen or screened. Keep in mind this needs to be more specific than "this game has easy AC like you're asking for but meets none of your other requirements." Make sure you're advertising games that might click with that specific character, where a few elements fit what they're looking for. You should be thinking about the story reasons of how the character might click with the game.

IN GENERAL:

➤ Don't be a dick. This isn't one of the anoncomms, so any snide comments or unnecessary commentary on the RP plans of others will be frozen or screened.

➤ All mod responses regardless of whether they're rule breaks, correction requests (like someone posting in the wrong section), or thwapping someone for spamming copy-paste ads, have always been and will almost universally be public. If someone sends a PM and the conversation gets combative, this will also be made public and posted to the comments of the mod contact page. This is for the sake of transparency so people can judge the emp mod's communications for fairness themselves.

There are times where the player's post may be screened (such as if they posted to the wrong section) but the mod's response will be left unscreened.

➤ Players may sometimes be allowed more than one strike for copy-paste ads since this is often just enthusiasm behind it, but game mods should know better. They'll get one warning for copy-paste ads, and if they spam anymore copy-paste ads after the warning, they'll be banned from the meme.

Expiation is a game where characters are assigned a crime without further explanation and told to await sentencing. The crime can be whatever you like! the player cap at the moment is 50/70.

folkmore is an invite-only, panfandom game based on the idea of characters being tested in an effort to “reach their full potential”. The game is very focused on character development and interpersonal relationships, with many events that push characters into sharing pieces of their lives they might not normally give up otherwise. Vibe wise, it’s really the chillest game I’ve ever been in, that gives players so much freedom to their own thing while still giving structured events and mingles.

Arriving characters are assigned roles that can be completely customizable character-to-character and can have as great or little importance in your character’s life there. For our current Persona cast, we have Ren as a Familiar, Akechi as a Legend, and Ryuji as a Myth. The variety!!

Events are bi-monthly! They are super varied in genre and always offer multiple options for prompts depending on how deep you really want to get into them. Even if the events lean more dark than normal, there’s usually still a fairly chill prompt, just so everyone can participate.

AC is check-in only and it asks for just a brief summary of what your character has been up to for the month.

[wanted]: everyone would be super loved! some special shoutouts for Morgana, Akechi, Yoshizawa, Haru and the rest of the Phantom Thieves from the p5 games, but we'd love to see other charas from the rest of the Persona and Shin Megami Tensei franchises as well (with another special shoutout here for the other protags!)
[game info]: 7Dead is a panfandom jamjar set in the city of 7, a cyperpunk-themed city that changes based on which of the 7 deadly sins and 7 deadly virtues has flourished the most in the hearts of the citizens. the game's events occur within the Amplitheater, a huge iridescent, multi-colored sphere at the heart of the city visible from all of the districts; characters are drawn into a grand story that the citizens of 7 enter and participate in so they can experience what each soul in the story goes through to better judge them. during this ceremony, new characters will be icly sorted into one of the vice/virtue pairs that will be used to power the city.

in terms of events, last month's event also doubled as the second tdm, drawing from series such as Star Wars, Cowboy Bebop, and Mass Effect for a mixture of space opera meets space bounty hunters. our current month's event is themed on urban fantasy with no specific canon it draws from, with plenty of supernatural beings to choose from or just being A Normal Guy in the midst of it all; players have the option to involve as much or as little of these canons as desired, as well as the choice of making their character's story/ies as light or dark as they like. through previous player actions, we've now also enabled the option for characters to lose themselves within their roles and believe their Amplitheater lives are their true ones instead of their canon memories (this can be opted out of or played around with as much as players choose). castmate developments have been slow but steady so far; there's been a bit stirred up by Akechi being Akira's roommate and [third semester redacted] before disappearing two months ago, and Maruki's arrival has brought the realization that characters are pulled from different points in time (and maybe just a little bit of emotional catharsis).

July's tdm will go up on the 5th, and the current tdm is here; both apps and reserves are open indefinitely (with reserves expiring two weeks from the time they are put in). here's some other helpful links with further info: vices & virtues, setting, ac rewards (including the powers character can obtain), and the calendar (including some of the aforementioned info). feel free to comment here or pm Akira's journal if you have any questions!

A dream world born from the clash of three different universes. One world produced emotion energy, a byproduct created when one's emotions manifested into a more tangible force. Another produced dream energy, a byproduct of one's dreams that allowed one to view and traverse through them. Both worlds produced so much excess energy they were diverted into an empty universe and happened to collide, producing a new, strange world made up of a new source, dreamotion energy. It remained a barren wasteland until a tear through the dimensions appeared and the concepts of fairy tales poured through. Magic, creatures, environments—they were all dumped in a central location and life began to form. But were they real? Or just figments of what they used to be? Regardless, this giant clash has created a unique world filled with unlimited possibilities.

But of course, a clash of this size would have some side effects. The dream energy in particular remains volatile and continues to seep out with its innate ability to connect to any dream in any world. If there is a strong enough resonance between the dreamer and dream energy, a version of the dreamer, a dream self, is formed and pulled into Songerein while the original body remains in their world safe, unharmed, and unaware of what's going on. Only after accumulating enough dreamotion energy can the dream self "wake up" and leave Songerein to return to its original body, all its experiences feeling like a strange, long dream.

Fortunately, Songerein is relatively...peaceful. It's a brand new world after all with only the fairy tale creatures and the dream selves, or dreamwalkers as they are officially called, pulled from other worlds as its denizens. There may be times the different energies become unstable, but it only creates a slight disturbance that eventually settles. Still, the constant connecting and reconnecting through the dream energy means that different things are randomly pulled in and disappear from the world. Those who have decided to make Songerein their home want to build onto it by using the ability to traverse through dreams to their advantage. By creating dreamshifts, they can create giant dreamscapes based on other worlds that large groups of dreamwalkers can enter and bring back concepts to be used in Songerein. Beginning with fairy tales, dreamwalkers could also form dreamshifts based on their own home worlds to bring in something from there. As a bonus, this uses the excess dreamotion energy within the world, helping stabilize it.

So, what kind of world will Songerein become? Just remember…

Where there are dreams, there are also nightmares.

Songerein is a panfandom game based on the following three former games: Somarium, Empatheias, and Forgotten Tales. At its core it is a worldbuilding game with adventure and character development. Player and character action will be what decides what is brought into Songerein, be it for good or ill. Although it's expected for players to be able to create their own fun and not rely solely on the mods, Songerein is billed to be more of a relaxed game for everyone to have fun in.

🎤 game info: So, this is a game about fame, social media, sex, and capitalism. It's peak Metalocalypse, which is also a satire about influencer culture, granted the influencer culture of the early/mid 2000s, which makes it even better.

Everyone in Sinfluencers is being tasked with becoming a sexy social media star, complete with brand deals, content collaborations, constant livestreams, fan interactions, and all the fun stuff that happens behind the scenes.

I already have so many ideas for how Nathan's going to struggle with going from being Uber Famous to having to rebuild his brand from the ground up in this new world where he's not, like, more well-known than the president. I think the rest of Dethklok would also Struggle™ with being jaded, old metalheads trying to be relatable with the Youth. Not to mention Toki is the only one among them who's even moderately profiencent with technology. It's going to be such a disaster! ♥
