Strong enough emotions can even have physical effects on the environment. Light up the room with a smile, give your character a personal rain cloud of sadness, accidentally light the curtains on fire in a fit of rage, even flood the air with shoujo sparkles and rose petals. The game plot is focused on exploration and world building, with the mods saying that the expansion of the setting is currently priority, but there are plenty of options and opportunities for less adventurous characters to stay in the city and engage in more slice-of-life plots as well. Whether it's trekking through a desert to explore an oasis ruin, stopping crooks from stealing the latest glitchy steampunk gadget, or just enjoying the cities and making new friends, there's really something for every player and every character.
In terms of what the Voltron cast has been up to, it's certainly been busy! There's been some drama surrounding canon updates, with Shiro, Keith, and Lance now along various points of Season Two. Speaking of timeline shakeups, the good news is Allura arrived earlier this month! The bad news, she's from the very end of Season Two and is sitting on a LOT of spoilers. She's talking to Shiro now about if/how to tell the others since he's still kinda peeved about the last time she withheld important info. On the lighter side of things, other adventures this month have included Thace taking up farming, Lance dragging Keith and Allura to model for a (nude) charity calendar, and exploring a tomb in a desert which includes a fight against flying giant robot lions! (They can't form Voltron though.) The paladin house has also been adopted by Kevin Regnard from Pandora Hearts; he's a mischievous, sparkly and purple Victorian ex-knight and has become something a second uncle to the cast, especially Keith. If you come in this month, you'll JUST miss him throwing Pidge a reverse surprise birthday party/cotillion (darn you Pidge and being born a few days too early).
Empatheias is a medium-paced game and backtag friendly, with a creative and approachable mod staff. The monthly activity checks have light requirements: 10 comments from your character a month, or 7 comments plus an entry, and new characters only need one proof. Unfortunately AU'd characters aren't allowed and you can't bring in memories from previous games. Applications will be open April 1 to April 4, and reserves are currently open now through the end of the app period.
