Perhaps revivalproject? We've had some four-legged animals pass through. :) These aliens are kidnapping people from various worlds to try to figure out what happened to their world to make it uninhabitable for them and fix it. There's a lot of survival elements, some slice-of-life, and nice people. It's not super fast-paced and there's lots of areas in the cities or surrounding areas that Simba might enjoy. He'd probably also get a kick out of investigating all the creepy half-demolished buildings.
