September EMP Meme
FOR GAME ADS: ➤ Put an ad up with the characters / crew / pairings / fetish you want for your game under the correct game header. This meme is primarily going to be focused on DWRP games but IJ and LJ games are allowed. ➤ PLEASE NOTE A RULE CHANGE HERE. ABSOLUTELY NO obnoxious coding (no font size > size 4 or 3 "big" tags, no oversized banners (they must be 250px in height or less), no blinking text, no obnoxious table html that doesn't collapse easily, no fonts and other html that make ads super long, no sparklies, no large pictures). Use all the colors you like, but please remember 3 "big" tags is the limit and that's only for headers or title text rather than for all the text in an ad. FOR GAME QUESTIONS: ➤ RPers interested in a game can create a header for the game and ask questions about that game that aren't easy to find on faqs, such as the actual pace vs. what's listed/what kind of plots are run/if the game leans more towards plotty or slice of life/if a game leans more towards network or logs, etc. Both anon questions and anon answers are welcome in this section just like in the rest of the meme. ➤ This thread is not for speaking about wank or drama in a game. There are anoncomms that exist for that. This thread is specifically for general questions about a game that rpers want to get perspective on from players already in the game. Answers can be slightly negative (such as saying app response is slow or that the plots are repetitive or similar things) but this should at least be worded politely. Unnecessary vitriol, any mention of personal drama or wank, or mod teams/individual mods/players being singled out, will be either frozen or screened (based on what seems right based on the content). FOR CHARACTER ADS: ➤ Put up an ad about the characters you are offering. For PSL ads, there is a separate subthread but for character ads for games, post directly to the meme post. Others will comment to you with the games/casts they want you to join. ➤ There is a "Find a Castmate" section, where you can talk about a cast you play in at a game, and try to lure people to join it. Not all games post to the meme or have a "wanted" section, so players that want to tempt people to their cast on their own can use this section for it. Please format this the same as the PSL section, where you post your character's canon in your subject. For the actual text of the ad you must use the "Find a Castmate" form provided at the bottom of this post so that these ads don't get huge. When listing who's currently in a cast, please do this in sentence form (with commas) rather than in list form. ➤ There is a "Find Crosscanon" section, where you can talk about a character you play and and desired crosscanon for that character. Please make sure this is not too generalized a search, because just wanting general crosscanon can be accomplished with the other sections of the meme. This is for specific characters or character types you're looking for. In the subject, please list the "Looking for [canon you're looking for]" rather than your character's canon. If looking for a character type, list the character type in as few words as possible. Do not make the subject huge or I'll screen your comment. For the actual text of the ad you must use the "Find Crosscanon" form provided at the bottom of this post so that these ads don't get huge. This section is only for game crosscanon as in the psl section people can list their preferences. ➤ Examples of crosscanon you can search for: You play The Flash from DC Comics and your dream CR is fellow speedster Quicksilver from Marvel. Or you might play a witch and want cr with other witches in general. Or maybe you play a good character messed up by evil parents and want to play against a villain character you know has evil parents, because you know it'd lead to some interesting negative CR. ➤ There is a "Pairings You Want to Play" section, where you can ask for castmates or crosscanon you'd like to ship with. Please format this with "[YOUR CANON] seeking [CASTMATE/OTHER CANON (if crosscanon)/SEE DESCRIPTION (if a general character type)]. For the actual text of the ad you must use the "Pairings You Want to Play" form provided at the bottom of this post so that these ads don't get huge. Alongside castmates and crosscanon, you can choose to ask for OCs or general character types as well. Try not to get too wordy and please don't outline entire scenarios. ➤ ABSOLUTELY NO obnoxious coding, with the same rules as the Game Ads Section above. ➤ If you're recommending a game to someone, try to match your suggestion to their needs. It's okay if part of your game rec is copy-pasted (such as what the game's about), but at least some part of the rec must be personalized to their ad. Try not to recommend the same game to every single ad, either. Ad spam that isn't individualized in some way will also be frozen or screened. Keep in mind this needs to be more specific than "this game has easy AC like you're asking for but meets none of your other requirements." Make sure you're advertising games that might click with that specific character, where a few elements fit what they're looking for. You should be thinking about the story reasons of how the character might click with the game. IN GENERAL: ➤ Don't be a dick. This isn't one of the anoncomms, so any snide comments or unnecessary commentary on the RP plans of others will be frozen or screened. ➤ All mod responses regardless of whether they're rule breaks, correction requests (like someone posting in the wrong section), or thwapping someone for spamming copy-paste ads, have always been and will almost universally be public. If someone sends a PM and the conversation gets combative, this will also be made public and posted to the comments of the mod contact page. This is for the sake of transparency so people can judge the emp mod's communications for fairness themselves. There are times where the player's post may be screened (such as if they posted to the wrong section) but the mod's response will be left unscreened. ➤ Players may sometimes be allowed more than one strike for copy-paste ads since this is often just enthusiasm behind it, but game mods should know better. [why]: WE WERE ROBBED! They're just so much fun together, and I want to explore more of that. Especially with a slowburn towards the romantic. And honestly I remember reading somewhere that they almost put in a post-script scene of the two of them talking where he was all "don't worry, I didn't tell her about us" and I like that. I like that a lot.
[game/psl info]:PSL-land is where it's at for me, and I mostly want to play around with canon. And AU!canon. Specifically an Inquisitor!AU where Hawke ends up Inquisitor. I just think it would be extremely fun to explore that with Varric, and Cullen, since they're the two people she knows and has history with.

Does she end up going along with the Hargreeves on their time journey? Does an AU version of her show up in the Sparrow Academy world or the reset world that follows? Does the reset world!Eudora know Diego? How does all of that go?
Honestly, she's a very new muse and I just want to explore the two of them slowburning back to being something.

for nahida, i would like to only play against an adult version for obvious reasons. totally fine with just using normal icons for her for simplicity's sake, though. i love the idea of her being taller than wanderer and their relationship being terribly affectionate. i'm very interested in themes of healing, romance, hurt/comfort, learning how to be human, etc.
i have a kink list in wanderer's journal in regards to smut. i often play him as a dom regardless of whether he tops or bottoms, but there are exceptions (which i am totally open for). i'm a huge fan of exploring feelings and dabbling in introspection during intimate scenes.

I want to write everything with these two so I'm really open to ideas and suggestions too.

[game/psl info]: there are plenty of theories when it comes to how close the brothers are and i'm all here for exploring it, familial or romantically. for the latter i'm always here for lannister twins-styled codependency considering everything they've been through together during their childhood. they're on such polar ends of the spectrum when it comes to religion and family and yet they work together to guard the very bottom of leyndell's harshest punishment! did they say goodbye or did they fight before separating, do they miss each other, were they in contact with each other before miquella's charm? i would also love to entertain some kind of reunion whether pre or post-dlc. feel free to dm me through this journal!

[wanted]: A type of character that is not afraid to be brutally honest with Nuvia, take command when needed, that is excellent in fighting and has high intelligence, and to quell Nuvia's bratty attitude whenever it pops up (this type of character tends to make her feel competitive).
[why]: These are my absolute favorite character dynamics -- the rough, tough, blunt, no-nonsense types with their complete opposite being the very kind, sweet, sheltered, curious about the world, try to be tough outwardly even though they are really afraid deep inside, bratty types that follow their own impossible morale compass. The tug and pull of these fire and water types are so good and I would really love the chance to play with someone this scenario to scratch the itch I have for it.
[game/psl info]: I have a couple of ideas!
One is an adventure through universal text messaging where Nuvia goes through her journey with a piece of alien technology that accidentally picks up someone else's phone/computer/technological signal where she asks for advice and helps throughout her journey in searching for her mother.
Two is Nuvia accidentally finding her way to your character's world. Think isekai without the death. Her powers change to fit in that world's rules/setting. While Nuvia ends up in that world, the Nevu are not far behind and searching for her, so expect some alien invasions to be included in this one.
Three is our characters end up in a school setting somehow and are trap. Think of Isekai Quartet where they end up in an empty school of just them. They have dorms/home to return to as well. They cannot fail or else bad stuff happens. Nuvia is illiterate and has never been to school before. The struggle will be about helping her get good enough grades, so the bad stuff doesn't affect your character too.

[why]: This is the longest of long shots but if anyone out there plays Four I would love to get into a "ship," and by ship I mean how Five and Four are thematic opposites but also two halves of a whole and Intoners are Weird like that. Maybe one of them kills the other, even.
I'm ngl I also want to play deranged smut with them, but it's not a requirement really, Five can be blueballed until the end of time. I'm mostly looking to see if anyone actually plays Four at all and would want to explore how she is simultaneously jealous, paranoid about and disdainful of Five but attracted... and how Five is also disdainful but attracted, codependency, being evil and wretched to each other, and to other people and bonding in a strange and symbiotic way through this, etc. Just little Intoner things.
Canonwise, I'm specifically looking for Four and not Five's other big sisters rn, but I'd be down for emulating an incestuous/pseudo incestuous dynamic like this with crosscanon as well.

[why]: Hap/OA has all my favorite trash tropes. Ideas: Part one, part two, (part three just not with actors' names, too weird), captive domesticity, patient/doctor power dynamics, fake Stockholm vs a splash of genuine Lima syndrome. Enemies to lovers that are still enemies, dubcon over noncon, the hatesex version of soulmates, stalking across universes. Role reversal: lock his ass up. Nina throwing him for a whole loop. Canon what-if's and full blown AU's (Handmaid's Tale, Mad Max, Star Trek, off the top of my head).

[why]: I'd just be really interested in Fem!Akechi struggling and failing to function as a normal person outside of the image she puts on for the public. Being forced to be a person around someone who knows Akechi's Whole Bullshit (much less understand what it is for her to be attracted to someone without ulterior motives) kind of throws her whole brain to pieces. I like a messy slow-burn. Or even skipping to the awkward stage after most of the early relationship strife has been solved and its just taking the next step that she's terrified of.
[game/psl info]: Playing with an au is messy and I sympathize. I'm open to handwaving something straightforward about the past that we don't have to untangle or even have Fem!Akechi dropped into a main timeline if that's easier. Whatever works! I'm adaptable.

[why]: I have big feelings about their weird dynamic, this unlikely long term friendship (in which they mutually treat each other poorly but also extend this "friendly" treatment regardless). i'm particularly invested in their early dynamic (middle/highschool), how they are both so fucking weird and connect with each other in an unlikely situation. like a "let's see if this (them) has any kick" and spoilers it kinda does. i see them as people who still fool around and don't really know how to pin down their feelings on what that is. tend to play shinra as gray-aromantic but can see him having a secret third feeling reserved for izaya specifically.

[wanted]: Steve Rogers / Marvel 616/MCU
[why]: Doing my best to finally manifest my OTP in dwrp! Steve/Sharon has been a staple of Captain America comics since Sharon first appeared in 1966. Aside from a while where she was fake-dead (#comics) they've spent almost sixty years working together and being a kickass battle couple. I love how supportive they are of each other and how they complement each other as super soldier and super spy who are also extremely hearteyes for each other.
Looking for a Steve to have fun with comics nonsense and hero stuff, either established or a slow-burn get-to-know you. I have both 616 and MCU Sharon journals, and I'm good with comics/comics, comics/MCU, or MCU/MCU. (But if there's a 616 Steve out there somewhere... that's the dream!)
