I can say from experience that Reno hasn't gotten any hate or been treated poorly for the things he's done! Tifa comes from a point shortly after platedrop, so she's the most upset with him and understandably so, but the mun hasn't done anything ic or ooc to hamper my ability to do anything with Reno. We play it out as they just stay in their own lanes and give eachother space, but the mun and I plot out threads together to move them, slowly, in a more positive direction. Tifa just needs time to heal, which Reno has no problem with.

Tifa is also from a point much earlier than other members of the cast and has asked not to have anyone talk about the future around her, which all of us have been easily accommodating. So it'll be up to you how you want things to play out, just communicate and we can all work towards the common goals.

We also have a Ganondorf in the game, alongside a Zelda and Link, and he hasn't been denied any opportunities for positive or negative CR or plots. There are no ic or ooc smear campaigns to warn characters about anything or ward others away from one another either icly or oocly. In fact, the LoZ cast--and muns from other canons(myself included)--have been helping Ganondorf with plotting and slowly building up a presence for himself here, and leading up to a pretty neat big-bad plot!

Ganondorf hasn't had any issues contacting or chatting with other people in the community either, which has been great to see. As someone who also plays villains(Jhin, Varus, Reno), it can be tricky cause people wanna hit you with that Main Character Syndrome and prove how great of a hero their character is by constantly dogging your villain, but it hasn't been an issue at Esco. If you want to move Sephiroth into a more positive direction, that is entirely possible.

The communication between muns and helping eachother achieve CR goals has been pretty solid. So it's up to what you wanna do and how you wanna run it, just let us know.
