October EMP Meme
FOR GAME ADS: ➤ Put an ad up with the characters / crew / pairings / fetish you want for your game under the correct game header. This meme is primarily going to be focused on DWRP games but IJ and LJ games are allowed. ➤ PLEASE NOTE A RULE CHANGE HERE. ABSOLUTELY NO obnoxious coding (no font size > size 4 or 3 "big" tags, no oversized banners (they must be 250px in height or less), no blinking text, no obnoxious table html that doesn't collapse easily, no fonts and other html that make ads super long, no sparklies, no large pictures). Use all the colors you like, but please remember 3 "big" tags is the limit and that's only for headers or title text rather than for all the text in an ad. FOR GAME QUESTIONS: ➤ RPers interested in a game can create a header for the game and ask questions about that game that aren't easy to find on faqs, such as the actual pace vs. what's listed/what kind of plots are run/if the game leans more towards plotty or slice of life/if a game leans more towards network or logs, etc. Both anon questions and anon answers are welcome in this section just like in the rest of the meme. ➤ This thread is not for speaking about wank or drama in a game. There are anoncomms that exist for that. This thread is specifically for general questions about a game that rpers want to get perspective on from players already in the game. Answers can be slightly negative (such as saying app response is slow or that the plots are repetitive or similar things) but this should at least be worded politely. Unnecessary vitriol, any mention of personal drama or wank, or mod teams/individual mods/players being singled out, will be either frozen or screened (based on what seems right based on the content). FOR CHARACTER ADS: ➤ Put up an ad about the characters you are offering. For PSL ads, there is a separate subthread but for character ads for games, post directly to the meme post. Others will comment to you with the games/casts they want you to join. ➤ There is a "Find a Castmate" section, where you can talk about a cast you play in at a game, and try to lure people to join it. Not all games post to the meme or have a "wanted" section, so players that want to tempt people to their cast on their own can use this section for it. Please format this the same as the PSL section, where you post your character's canon in your subject. For the actual text of the ad you must use the "Find a Castmate" form provided at the bottom of this post so that these ads don't get huge. When listing who's currently in a cast, please do this in sentence form (with commas) rather than in list form. ➤ There is a "Find Crosscanon" section, where you can talk about a character you play and and desired crosscanon for that character. Please make sure this is not too generalized a search, because just wanting general crosscanon can be accomplished with the other sections of the meme. This is for specific characters or character types you're looking for. In the subject, please list the "Looking for [canon you're looking for]" rather than your character's canon. If looking for a character type, list the character type in as few words as possible. Do not make the subject huge or I'll screen your comment. For the actual text of the ad you must use the "Find Crosscanon" form provided at the bottom of this post so that these ads don't get huge. This section is only for game crosscanon as in the psl section people can list their preferences. ➤ Examples of crosscanon you can search for: You play The Flash from DC Comics and your dream CR is fellow speedster Quicksilver from Marvel. Or you might play a witch and want cr with other witches in general. Or maybe you play a good character messed up by evil parents and want to play against a villain character you know has evil parents, because you know it'd lead to some interesting negative CR. ➤ There is a "Pairings You Want to Play" section, where you can ask for castmates or crosscanon you'd like to ship with. Please format this with "[YOUR CANON] seeking [CASTMATE/OTHER CANON (if crosscanon)/SEE DESCRIPTION (if a general character type)]. For the actual text of the ad you must use the "Pairings You Want to Play" form provided at the bottom of this post so that these ads don't get huge. Alongside castmates and crosscanon, you can choose to ask for OCs or general character types as well. Try not to get too wordy and please don't outline entire scenarios. ➤ ABSOLUTELY NO obnoxious coding, with the same rules as the Game Ads Section above. ➤ If you're recommending a game to someone, try to match your suggestion to their needs. It's okay if part of your game rec is copy-pasted (such as what the game's about), but at least some part of the rec must be personalized to their ad. Try not to recommend the same game to every single ad, either. Ad spam that isn't individualized in some way will also be frozen or screened. Keep in mind this needs to be more specific than "this game has easy AC like you're asking for but meets none of your other requirements." Make sure you're advertising games that might click with that specific character, where a few elements fit what they're looking for. You should be thinking about the story reasons of how the character might click with the game. IN GENERAL: ➤ Don't be a dick. This isn't one of the anoncomms, so any snide comments or unnecessary commentary on the RP plans of others will be frozen or screened. ➤ All mod responses regardless of whether they're rule breaks, correction requests (like someone posting in the wrong section), or thwapping someone for spamming copy-paste ads, have always been and will almost universally be public. If someone sends a PM and the conversation gets combative, this will also be made public and posted to the comments of the mod contact page. This is for the sake of transparency so people can judge the emp mod's communications for fairness themselves. There are times where the player's post may be screened (such as if they posted to the wrong section) but the mod's response will be left unscreened. ➤ Players may sometimes be allowed more than one strike for copy-paste ads since this is often just enthusiasm behind it, but game mods should know better. They'll get one warning for copy-paste ads, and if they spam anymore copy-paste ads after the warning, they'll be banned from the meme. MOD CONTACT: If there's trouble, tell me HERE, please! ➤ Important note: IP logging has turned on due to multiple instances past and present of problem players trying to return to the dwrp community via emp after being banned other places, so I'll be IP logging from now on, and will compare notes with the rpa and wg mods (as well as game mods) where appropriate if it seems like someone that has been mass banned. I will not pay attention to IPs otherwise. I don't care what people like playing or who's who. So please feel comfortable to keep doing your thing, anon or otherwise. The knowledge will only be used for really egregious problem cases. |

ACHATES | a short run mystery/survival game
full navigation » game info » applications
ΔCHΔTES is a short run mystery/survival game in a post-apocalyptic demon-infested setting, with inspiration drawn from the Shin Megami Tensei franchise. Game mechanics involve memory loss/alteration and optional monster transformation; while there will be horror elements to the game, horror is not the main focus of the game. The game is projected to last around one to two years, with pacing dependent on player activity. The game runs on flex time, meaning there are no scheduled monthly events; instead, new events will go up after the previous event has organically concluded.
Applications are currently open, with a player cap of 25/30. Activity check is check in, and bonus activity can be used to regain items, canon abilities, or gain/lose/alter memories.
As of early October, we are at IC Day 2-3, with many characters still finding their footing. Our most recent TDM takes place on IC Day 1, though interested players can also TDM on the Day 0 "prologue" if they wish. Toplevels are tracked and posted in the unofficial game discord for visibility!
Children of Bahamut - A high fantasy / D&D inspired panfandom game!
fter arriving in a strange new world following an interesting dream about dragons, you find yourself in a place simply called 'Town.' Once there, the help desk has a note that reads:
"Welcome! Please don’t panic! You’re going to be okay, we promise! Please ring the bell for service!"
This is a land that lives in between the realm of 5e Dungeons and Dragons and something somewhat unique. In the midst of recovery from a great calamity, the denizens of this world are wary and defensive against the unknown. From humans, elves, dwarves and halflings, to the myriad species of beastmen, fae and other fantastical creatures, everyone presents a more or less united front. Differences have been set aside, or at least placed on hold, in the interest of bringing their home back from the brink.
Now the only question that remains is: What place will you occupy in this world?

✧ test drive meme ✧
The Drift Fleet was renowned across the galaxy as the intergalactic reality show to follow. For centuries people have been taken away from their homes, pulled from multiple universes and from multiple times, and watched like a bug under glass for the amusement of faceless aliens. But what was entertainment for some was hope to another - for one race desperately needing help, The Drift Fleet was an answered prayer. For you it will be the start of a whole new adventure.
Where is this planet? Well, no one is quite sure of that, yet. When you arrive, you encounter a glowing orb that harmlessly downloads information directly into your mind. What you learn from it is this:
This planet is now home for you. Centuries have passed since anyone has been able to live here, though. Agra 10 is a dying world thanks to inexplicable and debilitating energy storms that have destroyed everything in their paths, including the Agrii people. Once, this proud race of millions had a thriving world full of advanced and sophisticated technology. The storms cut that number down to hundreds, huddled together in the heart of their capital, Temba.
That is where you are now.
The Agrii are now gone and Temba is the most intact area left (which says a lot about the rest of the planet). The orb is a Data Point left by the departing aliens to tell their story. But how did you get here? Why are you here? What are you supposed to be doing?
That is all for you to discover. The Agrii’s hope and your own survival is now in your hands. This isn’t a show anymore. It’s not a game.
No, but really. What is this game?
The Revival Project is a jamjar game that picks up after The Drift Fleet concludes. While it is a spin-off game, it is only loosely connected to the plot there and anyone can join regardless of their presence in The Drift Fleet. NO prior knowledge of The Drift Fleet is necessary to play.
From what you’ve discovered so far, your character has been brought to Agra 10, a destroyed planet that has been abandoned for centuries. You will soon learn that your mission here is to rebuild the capital city and the rest of this once-proud world. The Agrii, who remain off-world, have found that outsiders are somehow partially immune to the energy storms that massacred their population. Because of this, they will continue to find the best helpers from every universe to bring here. Lucky you are among those chosen.
In addition to rebuilding the planet, there is another task you must undertake. After all of the chaos that has splintered them for decades, the Agrii no longer fully understand what it means to be part of a community. Watching The Drift Fleet was the only lesson they had to help them relearn how to function as a cohesive society once more. So while you work together and even (eventually) travel to distant worlds, know that you have fans watching and learning from your every move. And don’t be surprised if they even reach out (although their English leaves much to be desired).
TRP is structured as a slice-of-life, adventure, and survival game where you have the opportunity to pick whichever of those elements you wish and avoid those that you do not. Whichever path your character travels here is entirely up to you.
As the game progresses, events will uncover larger and perhaps surprising truths about your new home and the race that brought you here. Not all is what it seems. There will be plenty of opportunity to take advantage of the setting; how you do so is yours to decide.
Welcome to The Revival Project!

VIVA LA
The world is whole, unified, harmonious. Under the auspices of the Varschein Empire and his royal majesty Cladius Varschein II, the world has entered an age of untold peace and prosperity. The Flying Isles of Esthere have entered a new age, one in which technology reigns and wealth flows without cease. At least, that is what they would have you believe. For those of privilege, the world is an endless parade of pleasure and joy, where every need and desire is met in an instant. For everyone else, the world is a cruel place of brutal oppression, where slavery and exploitation run rampant. To fuel the excesses of the ruling class, the commonfolk are trodden under the steel boot of the empire. For a century, the people have been beaten down, exploited, bloodied and buried without care. And today, we rise up in rebellion. So come, hoist your sails and raise flags black as night. Our time is here, and we will not rest until the Empire falls.
Viva La is a panfandom OU/AU hybrid game inspired by Skies of Arcadia and the Trails/Kiseki series that takes place in the Flying Isles of Esthere, a world of endless sea where the continents of the world fly high in the sky. Players will take on the role of the Crimson Corsairs, an alliance of rebels working to topple the Empire’s dominance. AU characters may exist as characters born and raised within the world, whereas OU characters have been brought under the Empire’s heel through use of the Servant’s Gate and have been liberated by the Crimson Corsairs.

The Mnemosyne - An AU/Memloss Space Adventure
THE MNEMOSYNE
The spaceship known as Mnemosyne was launched almost 60 years ago to explore galaxies far beyond our own. Instead you wake up to errors, your head is fuzzy, your memories aren't making sense... and the helm is locked off. Marooned in space with the just a handful of awakened crew, you're about to enter a very strange space adventure.
Mnemosyne is an AU game where characters are all spaceship crew from Tellus, formerly known as Earth. However, they keep having memories of another life - worlds and powers that shouldn't exist. A mix of AU and memloss, Mnemosyne explores worldbuilding, AU creation and challenging characters with an unreliable narrator in the form of an AI.

INTEREST CHECK: memloss-adjacent post-death game
You are dead. Whoever or wherever you were Before, that life is over, and it's time now to move on to what's Next. The journey there is long and treacherous, but you're not without a guide: The Ferryman can take you safely through The Crossing, if you agree to pay their toll. The price of the toll depends on The Crossing, but it will always be a memory — either precious or painful — keeping you tied to your Before. You can try to Cross without a guide, but be careful: this is when you are at your most vulnerable, and you may lose much more than a simple toll along the way.
(Unbeknownst to you, something was already taken from you, long before you arrived. Was it important? Would you even want it back, if you could have it? Who can say?)
Regardless, there's no going back. You can only go forward. You must Cross.
The Crossing is (potentially!) a post-death panfandom game about moving on, and letting go. (Or not!) Mechanics include memory loss, a malleable setting with optional community world-building, and personalized events & setting components for player characters. For more information, see our full premise page here.
We're considering a tentative Dec 1st opening date, with our first TDM in early November. Feel free to ask any questions here! (It will help us flesh out our currently-in-progress FAQ.)

Looking for Co-Mods: Route 666, a spooky monster TF roadtrip game
In short: the characters are summoned to a dying and badly damaged world, and find that they’re blessed (or cursed) with strange powers and monster forms. They also find a road train waiting for them called the Convoy, which is traveling on a set route. Their only hope for answers, and a way home or to turn back to normal? Follow this road to its end, and seek out a place called Nirvana.
Right now, I’m the only person on this project. So I’m looking for 2 or more co-mods to help run things. Most wanted are people who can keep lists updated, help track AC (especially with tracking reward points!) and pitch in when it’s time for character applications!
As we get closer to the end of October I’ll also try a Help Wanted on plurk, too: just wanted to test the waters on EMP first. If anyone is interested they can find a mod app form here along with the mod contact post.
Thanks for having a look, all!
