November EMP Meme
FOR GAME ADS: ➤ Put an ad up with the characters / crew / pairings / kink you want for your game under the correct game header. This meme is primarily going to be focused on DWRP games but IJ and LJ games are allowed. ➤ PLEASE NOTE A RULE CHANGE HERE. ABSOLUTELY NO obnoxious coding (no font size > size 4 or 3 "big" tags, no oversized banners (they must be 250px in height or less), no blinking text, no obnoxious table html that doesn't collapse easily, no fonts and other html that make ads super long, no sparklies, no large pictures). Use all the colors you like, but please remember 3 "big" tags is the limit and that's only for headers or title text rather than for all the text in an ad. FOR GAME QUESTIONS: ➤ RPers interested in a game can create a header for the game and ask questions about that game that aren't easy to find on faqs, such as the actual pace vs. what's listed/what kind of plots are run/if the game leans more towards plotty or slice of life/if a game leans more towards network or logs, etc. Both anon questions and anon answers are welcome in this section just like in the rest of the meme. ➤ This thread is not for speaking about wank or drama in a game. There are anoncomms that exist for that. This thread is specifically for general questions about a game that rpers want to get perspective on from players already in the game. Answers can be slightly negative (such as saying app response is slow or that the plots are repetitive or similar things) but this should at least be worded politely. Unnecessary vitriol, any mention of personal drama or wank, or mod teams/individual mods/players being singled out, will be either frozen or screened (based on what seems right based on the content). FOR CHARACTER ADS: ➤ Put up an ad about the characters you are offering. For PSL ads, there is a separate subthread but for character ads for games, post directly to the meme post. Others will comment to you with the games/casts they want you to join. ➤ There is a "Find a Castmate" section, where you can talk about a cast you play in at a game, and try to lure people to join it. Not all games post to the meme or have a "wanted" section, so players that want to tempt people to their cast on their own can use this section for it. Please format this the same as the PSL section, where you post your character's canon in your subject. For the actual text of the ad you must use the "Find a Castmate" form provided at the bottom of this post so that these ads don't get huge. When listing who's currently in a cast, please do this in sentence form (with commas) rather than in list form. ➤ There is a "Find Crosscanon" section, where you can talk about a character you play and and desired crosscanon for that character. Please make sure this is not too generalized a search, because just wanting general crosscanon can be accomplished with the other sections of the meme. This is for specific characters or character types you're looking for. In the subject, please list the "Looking for [canon you're looking for]" rather than your character's canon. If looking for a character type, list the character type in as few words as possible. Do not make the subject huge or I'll screen your comment. For the actual text of the ad you must use the "Find Crosscanon" form provided at the bottom of this post so that these ads don't get huge. This section is only for game crosscanon as in the psl section people can list their preferences. ➤ Examples of crosscanon you can search for: You play The Flash from DC Comics and your dream CR is fellow speedster Quicksilver from Marvel. Or you might play a witch and want cr with other witches in general. Or maybe you play a good character messed up by evil parents and want to play against a villain character you know has evil parents, because you know it'd lead to some interesting negative CR. ➤ There is a "Pairings You Want to Play" section, where you can ask for castmates or crosscanon you'd like to ship with. Please format this with "[YOUR CANON] seeking [CASTMATE/OTHER CANON (if crosscanon)/SEE DESCRIPTION (if a general character type)]. For the actual text of the ad you must use the "Pairings You Want to Play" form provided at the bottom of this post so that these ads don't get huge. Alongside castmates and crosscanon, you can choose to ask for OCs or general character types as well. Try not to get too wordy and please don't outline entire scenarios. ➤ ABSOLUTELY NO obnoxious coding, with the same rules as the Game Ads Section above. ➤ If you're recommending a game to someone, try to match your suggestion to their needs. It's okay if part of your game rec is copy-pasted (such as what the game's about), but at least some part of the rec must be personalized to their ad. Try not to recommend the same game to every single ad, either. Ad spam that isn't individualized in some way will also be frozen or screened. Keep in mind this needs to be more specific than "this game has easy AC like you're asking for but meets none of your other requirements." Make sure you're advertising games that might click with that specific character, where a few elements fit what they're looking for. You should be thinking about the story reasons of how the character might click with the game. IN GENERAL: ➤ Don't be a dick. This isn't one of the anoncomms, so any snide comments or unnecessary commentary on the RP plans of others will be frozen or screened. ➤ All mod responses regardless of whether they're rule breaks, correction requests (like someone posting in the wrong section), or thwapping someone for spamming copy-paste ads, have always been and will almost universally be public. If someone sends a PM and the conversation gets combative, this will also be made public and posted to the comments of the mod contact page. This is for the sake of transparency so people can judge the emp mod's communications for fairness themselves. There are times where the player's post may be screened (such as if they posted to the wrong section) but the mod's response will be left unscreened. ➤ Players may sometimes be allowed more than one strike for copy-paste ads since this is often just enthusiasm behind it, but game mods should know better. tl;dr Sticks & Bones is a fantasy/horror jamjar set in a spooky forest possessed by a vengeful god. Characters in the game lived their past lives in the Grove and ended up in their canon lives in an attempt to free everyone from the whole vengeful-god-possessed-Forest thing, but whoops! Didn't work for long!! So, you get a bit of AU fun mixed in, but mostly the game is focused around working with the local deities and demi-deities to get rid of the whole Forest Problem, while monthly events are "games" cooked up by the Forest purely to fuck with everyone.
But who cares about all that when there's CAST DRAMA. Yeah, that's right, Loop finally revealed their true identity to the party just last month, except psych! Odile and Siffrin were replaced by doppelgangers!! So it's actually just Isabeau who knows that even happened, and now they're too awkward to do the whole reveal again so ???? they are going to stew in the awkwardness until someone else figures it out, probably. But act now and you could ALSO be a part of this awkward atmosphere!!!
We also have a ✧family house✧ hell yeah house for the ISATs!! There is a room saved just for Mira, you wouldn't leave this poor family Mira-less would you?? Also... one of the local NPC demigods is a shapeshifting squid man dating a monsterfucker you KNOW she would wanna meet them, let her have her monster romance to cheer on irl she deserves this we all know she does
Anyway!! AC is a simple 2x threads of 5 comments, I'd put the pace firmly in the vague realm of "medium-paced" since a lot of folks are super fast but just as many are chill and slow, it depends on the month rly! wiggles my hand unhelpfully at this detail.

[game info]: Escordvi is a panfandom semi-private game that primarily uses invitations to join, but with occasional app cycles that allow asking mods for an invite directly(such as this coming cycle!). It is a quest based exploration game with a pirate theming and focus on finding and exploring new places, treasure and CR building. Despite the existence of factions(the Armadas of choice being law and order-abiding Paladins or chaos-seeking Corsairs), it is not a competitive factions game.
Turo has been living his best life of adventure for a year now, creating bonds with various people and even finding his own projects to work on. Even though he found himself as a Paladin, the man is part of a Corsair based crew that sail in search of mysteries and lost knowledge to better understand the world around them. He also co-owns and helps run an animal sanctuary with Nanaki(Red XIII) on one of the main Leviathan-based islands.
Has also found himself with a romantic partner, and a handful of people he trusts with the knowledge of his not being human; or the original Professor.I have had so much fun, and would love to have other Poképeeps around to enjoy an environment that is wonderfully fit for them to be let loose upon. 'An old world filled with older legends and myths, so old that no one knows what is real or not anymore. But there is one myth, one tale that some may say was just a dream… but it is the one they must now all live in.
Ancient beasts and their people waged wars and ravaged the once bountiful lands until the ground split and the waters rushed in, flooding and drowning all who once ruled the now barren surface. All civilizations were lost beneath the unending tides until the angry waters calmed and became still. Only a small handful of land, people, and creatures were saved, protected by mythical leviathans in hopes to one day revive the world. But no one cared for such lofty goals, content to only continue their survival. They would live on their leviathans with only a few deciding to settle on the numerous islands scattered throughout the world, and as time went by two armada factions developed.

Rumor has it that there is a special treasure map that could help guide them to the artifact, but the pieces have been scattered all over. Thus a new "hunt" is on to find that artifact, lost somewhere in the Endless Ocean.'

[game info]: Etraya is a panfandom mission game, though with the kinds of missions that can range from mingling in an American suburban environment, to having teddy bears turn you obsessive over them unless they're destroyed (and you really don't want those teddy bears destroyed). Characters have just gotten over being subjected to their fears while a reality-altering entity fed off the ending result, and now being put into teams to make vehicles for racing. From scratch! Enjoy your Mario Kart.
AC is check-in with a reward system that allows people to recover items or even bring in buildings into the setting! Reserves are open, with apps opening on the 18th. This is our current TDM!
The gang come from a range of canonpoints, with Riz and Aelwyn being from season 2 (+ Aelwyn coming in with Apocalypse How CRAU), and Fabian and Gorgug are from different points of season 3! The cast is happy to answer any questions and also to help with icons if necessary.

[wanted]: Hyunkel and Matoriv top the most-wanted list, as the only people who know both Popp and teen Avan. [game info]: Children of Bahamut is a newly-opened, invite-only game taking place in a D&D-inspired fantasy world. Characters are bonded with the soul of a dragon upon arrival, gradually taking on some of the dragon's traits over the course of their stay. The pace is pretty relaxed and AC is check-in only.
Avan and Popp have mostly come to terms with their weird time situation and are currently trying to use it to their advantage by teaching Avan his own sword style early, but they're completely stuck on Earth Slash due to the twin factors of Avan still being deep in "ohhhh I'm totally useless at fighting~" mode and it just being absolutely impossible to exhaust Avan without putting him in mortal peril.

"Welcome to Expiation, an adventure game set in a seemingly idyllic fantasy world. In truth, it's a simulation run by an ever-changing AI that claims it will do whatever it can to help those under its care achieve rehabilitation. The elements vary from science fiction, fantasy, and subtle horror, that explore the concepts of crime versus innocence, definition of atonement, and reflection of self. Events occur bimonthly, and it is up to the new residents of this world to uncover the truth of their circumstances, find a means to survive, and return to their original worlds, if they so choose to.
An overarching storyline will encourage characters to determine the truth about why they’ve been brought to this world and will be impacted by character discoveries and actions taken during events. Player-run events and plots are welcomed during the months when there is downtime.
Characters are mysteriously plucked from their world of origin, dropped into the white nothingness of disembodied mechanic voices, and told they’ll be treated as ‘all the others’ have been. They awaken to distant beeping sounds coming from friendly welcoming robots, eager to introduce the new Chosen into this largely pleasant city of Aldrip. In hand, they carry documentation and a tablet that accuses them of a crime, whether it be true or false, and they are instructed to simply wait until they face their sentencing and begin their journey in redemption."
Characters arrive in Expiation accused of a crime (either of the player's choosing or assigned by the mods) and are told to await their sentencing without further explanation. They can explore the world to discover its past and secrets, as well as influence the way it develops onwards, while trying to figure out the reason behind their arrival there.
Applications are bi-monthly and will open on December 24th while the reserves will open on December 21st; the new TDM will go live on Monday, December 16th! If you wish, you can check out October TDM in the meantime. There's a player cap that is currently sitting at 51/70. The AC requirements are 15 comments a month across 2-3 threads.

All characters are assigned a crime (can be as vague or as hilarious as you like), and are there for rehabilitation. Expiation is an environment meant to give characters the opportunity to analyze and reflect on their past actions in an effort to define and discover their own self-atonement. They may also perhaps seek forgiveness from others that they may have wronged, inadvertently or direct. It is not necessarily rehabilitation, but rather dissection of character motivation and evolution, based on individual dynamic and relationships with others.
An overarching storyline will encourage characters to determine the truth about why they’ve been brought to this world and will be impacted by character discoveries and actions taken during the bimonthly events.

[game info]: Duplicity is a sex game that revolves around kinks and character's reactions. You're either a Dominant or a Submissive (although there are events where it can change, so if you want to switch you designation, it will likely come up again at some point). There are quotas and contracts, but a/c can just be regular interactions from a variety of different sources (network post, open log, comments, tdm replies). There are monthly events that go on, plus regular interactions of trying to navigate the dynamics of the game. While a sex game, the ac proofs do not need to be.
