exactly!!! the preceptors are what i was thinking too, taoran implied he was coming forward as a scapegoat but he likely had more accomplices, also wait you're right and i don't like leaving loose ends so we can say it's something that's normally beneficial but in high doses causes toxicity so it's that instead of poison! making it even more clear it was orchestrated by someone very familiar with her background.
