March EMP Meme
FOR GAME ADS: ➤ Put an ad up with the characters / crew / pairings / kink you want for your game under the correct game header. This meme is primarily going to be focused on DWRP games but IJ and LJ games are allowed. ➤ PLEASE NOTE A RULE CHANGE HERE. ABSOLUTELY NO obnoxious coding (no font size > size 4 or 3 "big" tags, no oversized banners (they must be 250px in height or less), no blinking text, no obnoxious table html that doesn't collapse easily, no fonts and other html that make ads super long, no sparklies, no large pictures). Use all the colors you like, but please remember 3 "big" tags is the limit and that's only for headers or title text rather than for all the text in an ad. FOR GAME QUESTIONS: ➤ RPers interested in a game can create a header for the game and ask questions about that game that aren't easy to find on faqs, such as the actual pace vs. what's listed/what kind of plots are run/if the game leans more towards plotty or slice of life/if a game leans more towards network or logs, etc. Both anon questions and anon answers are welcome in this section just like in the rest of the meme. ➤ This thread is not for speaking about wank or drama in a game. There are anoncomms that exist for that. This thread is specifically for general questions about a game that rpers want to get perspective on from players already in the game. Answers can be slightly negative (such as saying app response is slow or that the plots are repetitive or similar things) but this should at least be worded politely. Unnecessary vitriol, any mention of personal drama or wank, or mod teams/individual mods/players being singled out, will be either frozen or screened (based on what seems right based on the content). FOR CHARACTER ADS: ➤ Put up an ad about the characters you are offering. For PSL ads, there is a separate subthread but for character ads for games, post directly to the meme post. Others will comment to you with the games/casts they want you to join. ➤ There is a "Find a Castmate" section, where you can talk about a cast you play in at a game, and try to lure people to join it. Not all games post to the meme or have a "wanted" section, so players that want to tempt people to their cast on their own can use this section for it. Please format this the same as the PSL section, where you post your character's canon in your subject. For the actual text of the ad you must use the "Find a Castmate" form provided at the bottom of this post so that these ads don't get huge. When listing who's currently in a cast, please do this in sentence form (with commas) rather than in list form. ➤ There is a "Find Crosscanon" section, where you can talk about a character you play and and desired crosscanon for that character. Please make sure this is not too generalized a search, because just wanting general crosscanon can be accomplished with the other sections of the meme. This is for specific characters or character types you're looking for. In the subject, please list the "Looking for [canon you're looking for]" rather than your character's canon. If looking for a character type, list the character type in as few words as possible. Do not make the subject huge or I'll screen your comment. For the actual text of the ad you must use the "Find Crosscanon" form provided at the bottom of this post so that these ads don't get huge. This section is only for game crosscanon as in the psl section people can list their preferences. ➤ Examples of crosscanon you can search for: You play The Flash from DC Comics and your dream CR is fellow speedster Quicksilver from Marvel. Or you might play a witch and want cr with other witches in general. Or maybe you play a good character messed up by evil parents and want to play against a villain character you know has evil parents, because you know it'd lead to some interesting negative CR. ➤ There is a "Pairings You Want to Play" section, where you can ask for castmates or crosscanon you'd like to ship with. Please format this with "[YOUR CANON] seeking [CASTMATE/OTHER CANON (if crosscanon)/SEE DESCRIPTION (if a general character type)]. For the actual text of the ad you must use the "Pairings You Want to Play" form provided at the bottom of this post so that these ads don't get huge. Alongside castmates and crosscanon, you can choose to ask for OCs or general character types as well. Try not to get too wordy and please don't outline entire scenarios. ➤ ABSOLUTELY NO obnoxious coding, with the same rules as the Game Ads Section above. ➤ If you're recommending a game to someone, try to match your suggestion to their needs. It's okay if part of your game rec is copy-pasted (such as what the game's about), but at least some part of the rec must be personalized to their ad. Try not to recommend the same game to every single ad, either. Ad spam that isn't individualized in some way will also be frozen or screened. Keep in mind this needs to be more specific than "this game has easy AC like you're asking for but meets none of your other requirements." Make sure you're advertising games that might click with that specific character, where a few elements fit what they're looking for. You should be thinking about the story reasons of how the character might click with the game. IN GENERAL: ➤ Don't be a dick. This isn't one of the anoncomms, so any snide comments or unnecessary commentary on the RP plans of others will be frozen or screened. ➤ All mod responses regardless of whether they're rule breaks, correction requests (like someone posting in the wrong section), or thwapping someone for spamming copy-paste ads, have always been and will almost universally be public. If someone sends a PM and the conversation gets combative, this will also be made public and posted to the comments of the mod contact page. This is for the sake of transparency so people can judge the emp mod's communications for fairness themselves. There are times where the player's post may be screened (such as if they posted to the wrong section) but the mod's response will be left unscreened. ➤ Players may sometimes be allowed more than one strike for copy-paste ads since this is often just enthusiasm behind it, but game mods should know better. They'll get one warning for copy-paste ads, and if they spam anymore copy-paste ads after the warning, they'll be banned from the meme. ➤ The meme is for fiction-based RP only (with the only exception being involvement of fictionalized historical figures or historical settings.) [why]: With Hawke/Varric WE WERE ROBBED! They're just so much fun together, and I want to explore more of that. Especially with a slowburn towards the romantic. And honestly I remember reading somewhere that they almost put in a post-script scene of the two of them talking where he was all "don't worry, I didn't tell her about us" and I like that. I like that a lot. And as for Hawke/Cullen… they would just be really INTERESTING together, I think?
[game/psl info]:PSL-land is where it's at for me, and I mostly want to play around with canon. And AU!canon. Specifically an Inquisitor!AU where Hawke ends up Inquisitor. I just think it would be extremely fun to explore that with Varric, and Cullen, since they're the two people she knows and has history with.

[why]: Eudora was done SO WRONG! And I would love to explore their relationship. And with Delores and Five, well, there's a whole host of exploration to happen when she's not a mannequin anymore.
[game/psl info]: An AU where Eudora doesn't die, either by not dying from the gunshot wound, or by waiting. Exploring how things change if she doesn't die. Does she end up going along with the Hargreeves on their time journey? Was she re-written into being alive at the end of season 3? Does an AU version of her show up in the Sparrow Academy world or the reset world that follows? Does the reset world!Eudora know Diego? How does all of that go? And when the world was re-written in season 3, did Delores get herself a human life? Is she just human somehow, in that handwavey TUA fuckery way? Or is this an alternate timeline where she was always human? They’re all possibilities and I’m here for mucking around with all of them as I figure her out and explore things.I think my favourite out of them is Delores getting re-written into being a living breathing person, though.

[why]: Hap/OA has all my favorite trash tropes. Ideas: Part one, part two, (part three just not with actors' names, too weird), captive domesticity, patient/doctor power dynamics, fake Stockholm vs a splash of genuine Lima syndrome. Enemies to lovers that are still enemies, dubcon over noncon, the hatesex version of soulmates, stalking across universes. Hap's consciousness gradually overtaking an otherwise decent version of himself. Role reversal: lock his ass up. Nina throwing him for a whole loop. Canon what-if's and full blown AU's (Handmaid's Tale, Mad Max, Fallout, Star Trek, Severance, off the top of my head).

[why]: S2 Zaundads had me weak. I would kill to play with the soft AU versions we briefly glimpsed, but I'm also down to play them young and falling in love before it all ends badly. I love smut, and there's a kinklist in my journal - I think they would be fun in the Omegaverse or for some less common kinks (like bathroom stuff) but I'm also down for vanilla sweetness or fading to black.

[why]: Looking for some post-manga exploration of Kabru's role in the kingdom, but also open to shippy tropes and fun AUs. Especially love when characters are insufferable but love and want each other anyway, so bring me those annoying4annoying vibes!

[why]: listen. the push and pull dynamic between these two compels me, it's the realest saddest sweetest(?) kind of "can't live with you, can't live without you." there's such a complicated mix of feelings and history between them that you can really drop into any canon point and have so much to play with. add in a very problematic attraction and possibly even some capital F Feelings, and things just get that much more tense and complex and i love it.
they are also v funny.

[why]: I've been dying to play some kind of post-Blind Betrayal reckoning with the companions Danse was the nastiest to, but especially with Deacon and the Railroad, considering how much Danse owes them even if he doesn't remember it.
There's also the matter of his snarling sexual tension with Hancock, his rude snotty banter and shared hometown with MacCready, and the perfect bookends with Curie of telling her to donate herself to the Brotherhood scribes who later lament not getting the chance to dissect him.
Please just let me play some repentant, atoning enemies-to-lovers with this man. It's what he was made for.

[why]: The current state of Spidey comics for the past... two decades? And the larger franchise, save for really good things like Into the Spider-Verse, just leaves me frustrated with the direction of the character. Reading tons of omnibi over the past few years and digging deep into Spidey lore has gotten me super hooked on PeterMJ. It would be great to rebuild what writers/editors (I'm looking at you Joe Quesada and Nick Lowe) actively sought to destroy. I wanna just explore the realistic emotional consequences of their lives and conflicts, and let them just feel like a real couple again. I'm interested in pushing these characters to grow without an adherence to editorial mandates for a status quo that has put Spider-Man - both the character and his mythos - in a rather depressing stasis.

[why]: I finished the original comic ages ago, and catching up on the show keeps reminding me how much I adore these two. It would be fun to keep exploring their dynamic and how they both rely on each other to deal with the chaos and absurdity of their world. While I play Mark from the show's continuity by default, I can easily play him from the comics (their subtle differences in personality are so funny to me because comics!Mark is just generally more mean-spirited 😭). In any case, whether it's light-hearted fun or a deeper/more serious exploration of these characters and their experiences, I'm just game for more Mark/Eve.

[why]: I just really loved them and their UST in the movie and feel there's a lot of fodder for the future. I am happy to play out any scenes from the movie someone would like to do in depth but I think playing out post-movie would be particularly fun as Logan settling down and sticking around. Eventually warming up in his grim mean way. Cue: And they were roommates.

[wanted]: Look, I listed a few but I'm pretty much open to anything and obviously I love problematic, especially considering who I play and his canon love interest.
[why]: Depending on the shade of Loki you want, he's interesting in a ship. My two preferred points are in the Asgard prison for prime and post s2 for the main variant. I'm good with cross canon but prefer to start it on Bakerstreet. If it's going to happen in a game, I don't plan for it.
He's hedonistic and this applies to his preferences in a ship. He also tends towards a god's attitude towards how he should be given treatment, though post s2 he's more subtle about it. He usually has a plan up his sleeve and your character won't always benefit.
Wicked | Fiyero/Elphaba

[why]: I love the whole play and really wished we had more time with these two. I'd love to do some flashbacks or canon rewrites of their time at school or do the angsty in-between act 1 and act 2 scenes, or post canon entirely. DANGANRONPA | Hinaegi/Kamuegi mostly (but open to others) (Slight Danganronpa Spoilers)

[wanted]: Mostly Hajime Hinata/Izuru Kamukura / Danganronpa but open to others too (here is my preferences for more ideas).
[why]: I love this(these) rare couple(s) and there's not enough fan fiction/fan art/other fan media to satisfy my thirst for them. I love their connection, how Naegi was willing to sacrifice everything for Hinata and his friends. And how Hinata later repays him at the end of the last killing game. How Hinata somehow sensed, even in the simulation where he shouldn't have known Naegi, that the fake Naegi wasn't the real one. How when Alter Ego sends the message to the survivors in the second game, Hinata immediately knows to trust Naegi, even though there would be plenty of reason to mistrust him. I love their parallels, their similarities and differences. I just love them.
In general I love almost anyone with Naegi but I have favorites. And at the very top, are Hinaegi/Kamuegi.
[game/psl info]: I currently have Naegi in Crossing with a Komaeda that would also love a Hinata. I also am playing on the test drive of Karteria but I don't have Naegi there yet. Either of these games or other games would work as long as they aren't too demanding (I'm keeping up with Crossing but it's sometimes stressful). I'm also interested in Pixie Led and possibly Folkmore but I'm open to pretty much any game. PSLs and memes are also very welcome.

[why]: There's snark and banter and soft touches and it's kind of a slowburn. It takes Keiko a little time to come to trust him but she DOES… and Lee's torn between his duty to the military and his loyalty to his friends. They're just SO GOOD.
[game/psl info]: PSLs or memes, although a game eventually COULD be fun. I mostly just want to play around with the two of them. I love them a lot. Explore what might have happened if they'd pursued something before she fell. And what might happen after. She's new (because it took me a while to come up with a username) and DEEPLY voicetesty for me, but I love them and am here for all the shenanigans.
Bang Dream (Bandori) Ave Mujica | Mutsumi+Mortis/Sakiko, Mutsumi+Mortis/Nyamu

[wanted]: Sakiko and Nyamu are at the top of the list but i would also love to thread with Umiri or Soyo or literally any of the girls this season. let's make some weird toxic yuri happen
[why]: the toxic yuri vibes are off the CHARTS!!! their interactions with Sakiko and Nyamu are the most compelling to me but i also really love what's going on with Umiri and Soyo too. i think the interplay between Mortis and Mutsumi has been really, really interesting, especially the narrative emphasis on Mortis gaining agency of her own. i think they're both very fun characters with some interesting tension, and the way they interact with everyone individually is also really fun! i'm happy to do either stuff that leans more in the traditional bang dream tone or that leans more into the psychological horror tone in the avemuji anime. mostly i just wanna marinate in the toxic yuri and bounce my cucumber girl(s) off some castmates :)
i am aware that there are still 2 episodes left in this season and it's been bombshell after bombshell but i'm happy to just kinda roll with whatever and retcon where needed!
[game/psl info]: since the season's storyline isn't over i'm kinda down for whatever! crychic-era flashback stuff, canon divergence, or just expanding on some of the drama that's been happening in this buck fucking wild anime. i am also fine with setting AUs! i think the way all of their fucked up drama is configured could be fun to reimagine in a more fantastical or scifi-y setting. either way the vibes are bad
