Honestly, I'm up for anything. AU where they escape the Red Room soldiers together successfully, canon continuation where Alexei keeps looking for the Winter Soldier using SHIELD resources (and finds him before the first Avengers movie canon point), a full AU where we take them out of the Marvel universe and they're just guys... I too am more interested in gen than smut, and I'm always very excited to play out the emotional aspects of character interactions.
