July EMP Meme
FOR GAME ADS: ➤ Put an ad up with the characters / crew / pairings / kink you want for your game under the correct game header. This meme is primarily going to be focused on DWRP games but IJ and LJ games are allowed. ➤ PLEASE NOTE A RULE CHANGE HERE. ABSOLUTELY NO obnoxious coding (no font size > size 4 or 3 "big" tags, no oversized banners (they must be 250px in height or less), no blinking text, no obnoxious table html that doesn't collapse easily, no fonts and other html that make ads super long, no sparklies, no large pictures). Use all the colors you like, but please remember 3 "big" tags is the limit and that's only for headers or title text rather than for all the text in an ad. FOR GAME QUESTIONS: ➤ RPers interested in a game can create a header for the game and ask questions about that game that aren't easy to find on faqs, such as the actual pace vs. what's listed/what kind of plots are run/if the game leans more towards plotty or slice of life/if a game leans more towards network or logs, etc. Both anon questions and anon answers are welcome in this section just like in the rest of the meme. ➤ This thread is not for speaking about wank or drama in a game. There are anoncomms that exist for that. This thread is specifically for general questions about a game that rpers want to get perspective on from players already in the game. Answers can be slightly negative (such as saying app response is slow or that the plots are repetitive or similar things) but this should at least be worded politely. Unnecessary vitriol, any mention of personal drama or wank, or mod teams/individual mods/players being singled out, will be either frozen or screened (based on what seems right based on the content). FOR CHARACTER ADS: ➤ Put up an ad about the characters you are offering. For PSL ads, there is a separate subthread but for character ads for games, post directly to the meme post. Others will comment to you with the games/casts they want you to join. ➤ There is a "Find a Castmate" section, where you can talk about a cast you play in at a game, and try to lure people to join it. Not all games post to the meme or have a "wanted" section, so players that want to tempt people to their cast on their own can use this section for it. Please format this the same as the PSL section, where you post your character's canon in your subject. For the actual text of the ad you must use the "Find a Castmate" form provided at the bottom of this post so that these ads don't get huge. When listing who's currently in a cast, please do this in sentence form (with commas) rather than in list form. ➤ There is a "Find Crosscanon" section, where you can talk about a character you play and and desired crosscanon for that character. Please make sure this is not too generalized a search, because just wanting general crosscanon can be accomplished with the other sections of the meme. This is for specific characters or character types you're looking for. In the subject, please list the "Looking for [canon you're looking for]" rather than your character's canon. If looking for a character type, list the character type in as few words as possible. Do not make the subject huge or I'll screen your comment. For the actual text of the ad you must use the "Find Crosscanon" form provided at the bottom of this post so that these ads don't get huge. This section is only for game crosscanon as in the psl section people can list their preferences. ➤ Examples of crosscanon you can search for: You play The Flash from DC Comics and your dream CR is fellow speedster Quicksilver from Marvel. Or you might play a witch and want cr with other witches in general. Or maybe you play a good character messed up by evil parents and want to play against a villain character you know has evil parents, because you know it'd lead to some interesting negative CR. ➤ There is a "Pairings You Want to Play" section, where you can ask for castmates or crosscanon you'd like to ship with. Please format this with "[YOUR CANON] seeking [CASTMATE/OTHER CANON (if crosscanon)/SEE DESCRIPTION (if a general character type)]. For the actual text of the ad you must use the "Pairings You Want to Play" form provided at the bottom of this post so that these ads don't get huge. Alongside castmates and crosscanon, you can choose to ask for OCs or general character types as well. Try not to get too wordy and please don't outline entire scenarios. ➤ ABSOLUTELY NO obnoxious coding, with the same rules as the Game Ads Section above. ➤ If you're recommending a game to someone, try to match your suggestion to their needs. It's okay if part of your game rec is copy-pasted (such as what the game's about), but at least some part of the rec must be personalized to their ad. Try not to recommend the same game to every single ad, either. Ad spam that isn't individualized in some way will also be frozen or screened. Keep in mind this needs to be more specific than "this game has easy AC like you're asking for but meets none of your other requirements." Make sure you're advertising games that might click with that specific character, where a few elements fit what they're looking for. You should be thinking about the story reasons of how the character might click with the game. IN GENERAL: ➤ Don't be a dick. This isn't one of the anoncomms, so any snide comments or unnecessary commentary on the RP plans of others will be frozen or screened. ➤ All mod responses regardless of whether they're rule breaks, correction requests (like someone posting in the wrong section), or thwapping someone for spamming copy-paste ads, have always been and will almost universally be public. If someone sends a PM and the conversation gets combative, this will also be made public and posted to the comments of the mod contact page. This is for the sake of transparency so people can judge the emp mod's communications for fairness themselves. There are times where the player's post may be screened (such as if they posted to the wrong section) but the mod's response will be left unscreened. ➤ Players may sometimes be allowed more than one strike for copy-paste ads since this is often just enthusiasm behind it, but game mods should know better. They'll get one warning for copy-paste ads, and if they spam anymore copy-paste ads after the warning, they'll be banned from the meme. ➤ The meme is for fiction-based RP only (with the only exception being involvement of fictionalized historical figures or historical settings.) ⚔️ ike/soren -- wow. huge surprise. i know. but listen: this is not a perfectly healthy relationship; i'm interested in exploring that since the fandom likes playing up its fluff. it'd be cool to move from the liminal thing they've got going on at the end of radiant dawn to some character/relationship development for them both. what development? depends on how your soren and my ike jive. i am a bit less jazzed to play soren in this equation because i don't often write the undyingly loyal character archetype, but i wouldn't mind the challenge! down for any canon point, pre- or post-either game, and even some weird engage shenanigans (ex., soren finding emblem ring ike looong after ike's passed). daein AUs welcome, too.
⚔️ ike/ranulf -- this might be my favorite ship in the series right now. they just make sense to me. i have a craving since there's comparatively little content for them in the wider tellius fandom, as well... i like a somewhat bittersweet reading of their paired ending given that they both turn their backs on the things that once mattered to them most (i.e., in ike's case, the mercenaries; in ranulf's, tellius' politics). down for any canon point here, too, and very happy to play the ranulf to your ike if you'd prefer that.
⚔️ ike/soren/ranulf -- longest shot in the world, but this would be one of my wildest rp dreams come true. 🙏
⚔️ ike/elincia -- i love elincia... i'd really like to write them as very close/special friends where there's nothing romantic going on between them (or, if elincia's crushing, where ike struggles a little with the fact he doesn't reciprocate her feelings). i'm especially keen on exploring the fact they're from veryyyyy different worlds; something set within the three year gap between games would be fun on that front. happy to try elincia for you if you play ike!
⚔️ ike/other tellius characters -- i suspect these are longer shots than my ot3 up there, but if you happen to play any of the other greil mercenaries (esp. mist, shinon, or greil himself) and are up for any (platonic) shenanigans... hello. (ftr i would welcome a thread with, like. literally any canonmate. ashnard, even. tbh especially. hell, sephiran, if you're out there...)
⚔️ ike/anybody from engage -- can't imagine how these would turn shippy, but i genuinely enjoy engage's entire cast and think the emblem/wearer dynamic is a fun one. everyone's welcome, but i'd especially love to throw him at timerra, fogado, alcryst, diamant, yunaka, rafal, goldmary, céline, ivy, hortensia, seadall, alfred, or saphir.

Elden Ring | Miquella/Trina

[why]: My crops are pretty watered for ships with Miquella (I am always open to new ones, ofc), but one part of my field lays dried and wilting: Miquella/Trina. The duality of them! The compare/contrast with Marika and Radagon! The alchemical themes! The "I abandon here my love," being a sentence with multiple interpretations! Angsty post or during-SOTE AU, pregame stuff, good! My kingdom for a train to the afterlife or similar scenario where the weight of all that Miquella sacrificed on his ascension really comes down on him and he cracks in half and is comforted by one of the only beings in the world to have seen him as a real person.
I play both of them, with separate journals for each, so if YOU have a Miquella journal, I can do the Trina side, easily.
[game/psl info]: I am moderately active on Bakerstreet as I try to get more tagging mojo down - I've only been sporadically active on DWRP for a little while now, but a good PSL will suck me back in like quicksand. My tagging is quick when I am here, but slower between sessions, so it's mostly bursts of boomeranging. So... BS is fine, I have an open post on this journal, and I have a musebox we can take things to. I'll be a little sporadic over the next couple weeks because I have a vacation coming up, but I will try to tag on my downtime.

So the end of the TV canon naturally left me dying for a better resolution and more of Ashi and Jack's married life. The game fixed some of that with it's secret ending but if you want to play the angst of an emotional post-TV series reunion then by all means lets do it.
I mostly want to explore both of them getting used to more peaceful times. Domestic fluff aplenty but also minor adventures helping other people and such is heartily welcomed.

Explore what might have happened if they'd pursued something before she fell. [why]: Cutting straight to the chase, I want to explore this ship and make weird, awkward smut. It's a truly alien relationship between two different species, and one of them has no sexuality/traditional reproduction.
It's clear they've learned a lot from each other, about each other what the infinite amount of time they have to spend, so what did it look like for Verso to explain human loneliness, the need for physical affection, and more to a sentient paintbrush? And Monoco, being a loyal friend, how would he help Verso out?

[why]: With Hawke/Varric WE WERE ROBBED! They're just so much fun together, and I want to explore more of that. Especially with a slowburn towards the romantic. And honestly I remember reading somewhere that they almost put in a post-script scene of the two of them talking where he was all "don't worry, I didn't tell her about us" and I like that. I like that a lot. And as for Hawke/Cullen… they would just be really INTERESTING together, I think?
[game/psl info]:PSL-land is where it's at for me, and I mostly want to play around with canon. And AU!canon. Specifically an Inquisitor!AU where Hawke ends up Inquisitor. I just think it would be extremely fun to explore that with Varric, and Cullen, since they're the two people she knows and has history with. Also to talk vaguely around Veilguard spoilers, although I haven't played it yet I am aware Of Things, and am 1000% here for FIXING IT.

[why]: Hap/OA has all my favorite trash tropes. Ideas: Part one, part two, (part three just not with actors' names, too weird), captive domesticity, patient/doctor power dynamics, fake Stockholm vs a splash of genuine Lima syndrome. Enemies to lovers that are still enemies, dubcon over noncon, the hatesex version of soulmates, stalking across universes. Hap's consciousness gradually overtaking an otherwise decent version of himself. Role reversal: lock his ass up. Nina throwing him for a whole loop. Canon what-if's and full blown AU's (Handmaid's Tale, Mad Max, Fallout, Star Trek, Severance, off the top of my head).

simpingrespect dynamic and would love to explore it more both in canonverse (behind the scenes, the shift from adversaries to friends for Erwin/Levi, buddy comedy aspects of Levi/Hange, etc) or in AUs (literally no limit on this one, but some of my favorites off the top of my head are witch/familiar, organized crime, college/SOL, supernatural (not the show...unless), cyber/solarpunk, and various dystopian (Mad Max, Hunger Games, etc) prompts.)Also that size difference /fingerguns
For crosscanon/crossmedium, it's honestly very vibes-based. He won't get along with someone haughty and doesn't mix well with evil OR lawful good. He comes from extreme poverty and has a good deal of class consciousness as well as aversion to all forms of exploitation. He has a lot of empathy and cares about people (both close to him and in general) but also has the personality of a cactus so it can take some work to get close to him. His preference is tall people, he also seems to have a soft spot for smart folks, yappers, passionate nerds, and leaning slightly toward guys or nb people but if there's good chemistry he doesn't care that much about gender.
[game/psl info]: I usually craft these on the go together with who I'm writing with, but I do have a gdoc of prompts to start off with that I'll share with you if you'd like and build from there (or start our own). I'm open to suggestions as well.
Also some notes here, my pace can be inconsistent but I would say averaging around medium at the moment; I'm also in GMT so backtag-friendliness is a requirement. I lean toward longer tags with introspection, and while I don't need or expect that to be matched all the time (and sometimes a few word is all that's needed for rule of funny), I tend to lose steam if all I'm getting are oneliners.
I'm also happy to test the waters in a meme or a one-off scenario to see how our writing meshes before plotting anything longer-term.

joining in the "WE WERE ROBBED" comment, but season 2, imo, really didn't give these two the justice that they deserved when it comes to their relationship. the AU episode was....fine, but really would have loved some sort of development between main universe ekko and jinx. if only they didn't decide to just do 2 seasons and not more...
but anyway, with all the official artbook sneak peeks and music videos, league of legends skins of them matching, and whatnot, i just really want to explore more of their relationship together and have them grow into FwB or lovers or break up and then getting back together, just all the drama stuff!!

[why]: I really love Akihiko's dynamics with both characters (my kingdom for AkiShinjiMitsu). I'd love to explore the relationship of Aki and Shinji in a Shinji lives timeline, whether the canon one or AU, as they get older. With Mitsuru and Akihiko, I'd love to explore how they help each other cope with their back to back losses and deepen their relationship - also as they grow older.

[game/psl info]: As I mentioned above, I'm interested in exploring the older dynamic but I'm also not above some school era fooling around, just started dating scenarios or hurt/comfort.
I'd also love to write some smut with either pair, either as a one off or part of a PSL. (eternal delights upon you if you are interested in trans man Aki or trans girl Shinji.) My kink list for specifically Aki is lacking, but I have one you can glance at here.
Specific things I'd be down for would be fighting as foreplay, inappropriate uses of powers, Evokers or Personas, playing around with power dynamics, breeding kink (more the threat of or 'trying', or just dirty talking it between two guys).
