ENABLEMEPLZ meme goes up on the Second Saturday of every month FOR GAME ADS: ➤ Put an ad up with the characters / crew / pairings / kink you want for your game under the correct game header. This meme is primarily going to be focused on DWRP games but IJ and LJ games are allowed. ➤ PLEASE NOTE A RULE CHANGE HERE. ABSOLUTELY NO obnoxious coding (no font size > size 4 or 3 "big" tags, no oversized banners (they must be 250px in height or less), no blinking text, no obnoxious table html that doesn't collapse easily, no fonts and other html that make ads super long, no sparklies, no large pictures). Use all the colors you like, but please remember 3 "big" tags is the limit and that's only for headers or title text rather than for all the text in an ad. FOR GAME QUESTIONS: ➤ RPers interested in a game can create a header for the game and ask questions about that game that aren't easy to find on faqs, such as the actual pace vs. what's listed/what kind of plots are run/if the game leans more towards plotty or slice of life/if a game leans more towards network or logs, etc. Both anon questions and anon answers are welcome in this section just like in the rest of the meme. ➤ This thread is not for speaking about wank or drama in a game. There are anoncomms that exist for that. This thread is specifically for general questions about a game that rpers want to get perspective on from players already in the game. Answers can be slightly negative (such as saying app response is slow or that the plots are repetitive or similar things) but this should at least be worded politely. Unnecessary vitriol, any mention of personal drama or wank, or mod teams/individual mods/players being singled out, will be either frozen or screened (based on what seems right based on the content). FOR CHARACTER ADS: ➤ Put up an ad about the characters you are offering. For PSL ads, there is a separate subthread but for character ads for games, post directly to the meme post. Others will comment to you with the games/casts they want you to join. ➤ There is a "Find a Castmate" section, where you can talk about a cast you play in at a game, and try to lure people to join it. Not all games post to the meme or have a "wanted" section, so players that want to tempt people to their cast on their own can use this section for it. Please format this the same as the PSL section, where you post your character's canon in your subject. For the actual text of the ad you must use the "Find a Castmate" form provided at the bottom of this post so that these ads don't get huge. When listing who's currently in a cast, please do this in sentence form (with commas) rather than in list form. ➤ There is a "Find Crosscanon" section, where you can talk about a character you play and and desired crosscanon for that character. Please make sure this is not too generalized a search, because just wanting general crosscanon can be accomplished with the other sections of the meme. This is for specific characters or character types you're looking for. In the subject, please list the "Looking for [canon you're looking for]" rather than your character's canon. If looking for a character type, list the character type in as few words as possible. Do not make the subject huge or I'll screen your comment. For the actual text of the ad you must use the "Find Crosscanon" form provided at the bottom of this post so that these ads don't get huge. This section is only for game crosscanon as in the psl section people can list their preferences. ➤ Examples of crosscanon you can search for: You play The Flash from DC Comics and your dream CR is fellow speedster Quicksilver from Marvel. Or you might play a witch and want cr with other witches in general. Or maybe you play a good character messed up by evil parents and want to play against a villain character you know has evil parents, because you know it'd lead to some interesting negative CR. ➤ There is a "Pairings You Want to Play" section, where you can ask for castmates or crosscanon you'd like to ship with. Please format this with "[YOUR CANON] seeking [CASTMATE/OTHER CANON (if crosscanon)/SEE DESCRIPTION (if a general character type)]. For the actual text of the ad you must use the "Pairings You Want to Play" form provided at the bottom of this post so that these ads don't get huge. Alongside castmates and crosscanon, you can choose to ask for OCs or general character types as well. Try not to get too wordy and please don't outline entire scenarios. ➤ ABSOLUTELY NO obnoxious coding, with the same rules as the Game Ads Section above. ➤ If you're recommending a game to someone, try to match your suggestion to their needs. It's okay if part of your game rec is copy-pasted (such as what the game's about), but at least some part of the rec must be personalized to their ad. Try not to recommend the same game to every single ad, either. Ad spam that isn't individualized in some way will also be frozen or screened. Keep in mind this needs to be more specific than "this game has easy AC like you're asking for but meets none of your other requirements." Make sure you're advertising games that might click with that specific character, where a few elements fit what they're looking for. You should be thinking about the story reasons of how the character might click with the game. IN GENERAL: ➤ Don't be a dick. This isn't one of the anoncomms, so any snide comments or unnecessary commentary on the RP plans of others will be frozen or screened. ➤ All mod responses regardless of whether they're rule breaks, correction requests (like someone posting in the wrong section), or thwapping someone for spamming copy-paste ads, have always been and will almost universally be public. If someone sends a PM and the conversation gets combative, this will also be made public and posted to the comments of the mod contact page. This is for the sake of transparency so people can judge the emp mod's communications for fairness themselves. There are times where the player's post may be screened (such as if they posted to the wrong section) but the mod's response will be left unscreened. ➤ Players may sometimes be allowed more than one strike for copy-paste ads since this is often just enthusiasm behind it, but game mods should know better. They'll get one warning for copy-paste ads, and if they spam anymore copy-paste ads after the warning, they'll be banned from the meme. ➤ The meme is for fiction-based RP only (with the only exception being involvement of fictionalized historical figures or historical settings.) Synflux is a cyberpunk, mission-based survival game inspired by Evangelion, Ghost in the Shell, Akira and others set in an alternate Earth in the year 2277. Characters are organized into teams based on their personality and skill and brought by force to give the humanity in this world one last chance. Characters will be sent on missions to fight the very things that has put this world in shambles: ruthless monsters from another world. Zip up your suits, Outsiders, it's gonna be a bloody ride.

In other words, Synflux is a panfandom game that alternates its focus between missions and downtime monthly, allowing for character-building moments as well as serious, world-changing battles. New abilities and gear can be earned through participation, allowing even non-powered characters to fight on even footing. Everyone is welcoming and a delight to play against!

The game has a 60 player cap and is currently at 52.

[game info]: Karteria is a dark fantasy monster transformation game where characters are brought in to assist in saving a world from its decline and death after the spread of Katalyth, a mineral typical humans cannot survive extended exposure to. Characters are fitted with an Augmenter to make them resistant to exposure and give them enhanced abilities, but at the cost of changing their form to align with whatever Natural Soul (various types of animal, plant, mineral, undead...) is in the Augmenter. Despite the condition of the world, there are functioning cities with various opportunities for characters to pursue, so it isn't a survivalist setting and characters can help improve (or not...) Augmented reputation by submitting what they've been getting up to.

TDMs are bimonthly, so the next one will be going up early next month (Sep 4th). AC is 5 comments (with an AC reward system ranging from fun vaguely cursed items to an additional Natural Soul), pace averages out to about medium as there's a wide variety of speeds in the game.

[game info]: Pumpkin Hollow is a Victorian Gothic horror-comedy/mystery game with demons, eldritch stuff, fairies, all sorts of other spooky goodies. We're about to move into pre-Halloween season which is when all our coolest events come out. There's about a year and a half of game left, so we haven't left the territory where getting new members would make sense but we're flirting with it a little, so it's kind of a last call--- AND ALSO we also have a sequel game scheduled that will be a direct continuation, so this'll be a good opportunity to get in on the ground floor of that.

Also, in September, we're having an event where characters get to have visitors for their homeworld for a short time, so the number of DR characters is going to Explode briefly. If you'd be interested in playing with us short term, hit me up in PMs!

Guardians of the Galaxy/MCU @ Lab of Nature

[game info]: Lab of Nature is a comedy horror game where characters are subjected to both bizarre and terrifying "experiments" with some downtime in between. (Rocket is *thrilled* /s) There are bizarre AIs, leaked emails between scientists, and morbid spoofs of Earth holidays.

Some characters have been brainwashed to act as enforcers on behalf of the scientists, resulting in very interesting CR.

The player base is welcoming and open to different types of CR. There's negative CR in this game but no ooc drama over it. If you're looking for a game and playerbase that is down for antics in all kinds of flavors, this game is for you.

[game info]: Karteria is very much a dark fantasy game with sci-fi and supernatural elements, body horror, and presently a large amount of uncanny air where we're at right now that will have you wondering if you're in a somehow more messed up version of Ba Sing Se. I digress, though. Horror's not the only thing we delve into, much of the characters' traumas are forced to the surface while also having to deal with being plucked from their own worlds to save another, while having to ALSO deal with an additional soul in their body that is presently making them look less and less human in their new life as an Augmented.

Activity checks are fairly lenient, being 5 posts per month, and we have TDMs roughly bi-monthly. The next one shoooould be up around September, I'll need to check the dates again.

It's kind of a post-apocalyptic deal with freaky dream stuff too where your characters end up as Tokens (wizard-type guys) or Offerings (monster-type guys). Toki's (becoming) a daemon, so he's very metal. It's also about characters making connections with each other. The game is invite only, but the EMP and TDM are open to everybody, and I'll be able to invite someone!

There's an EMP going on right now, and the TDM will be at the beginning of next month!

–You only need an invite for your first app. Once you're in, you can apply for more characters freely.
–Invites aren’t automatic approvals—we may follow up with the inviter or invitee if we have any questions.

How applications work:

Invites are required to apply. You don’t need to reserve, but you can’t apply for a character that’s already been reserved by someone else. Neither invites nor reserves guarantee acceptance.

A few important notes:
–One app per person per cycle.
–Once you’ve been invited, you can submit one application per round.
–No challenge apps.
–First-come, first-serve rules apply— if someone has a reserve in before you, they get priority.
–If you were swept due to inactivity, you’ll need to wait one full app cycle before trying again. This may change depending on patterns of behavior. If we suspect squatting, we may ask for proof of intent to play.

They've moved in together with a nice robot. Geto's starting an adorable baku cult but is otherwise relaxing and being a network troll for now. Nanami is a wolf who wants to know why he's been roped into being an accountant for Gojo's farm of all things, why must Nanami suffer like this. Yuji is a tiger boy who is just very excited that everyone is alive.

[game info]: It's a game that focuses hard on redemption arcs and overall character development! Every character is either an inmate or a warden, and the objective for inmates is to Graduate. Once they graduate they have the option of either going home or staying on as a new warden.

The objective for wardens is to help inmates achieve graduation, with their "paycheck" being getting a Deal from the Admiral (the primary NPC of the game). Deals function as a free wish, with their options being just about everything from bringing someone back to life... to saving their world from the apocalypse!

As an example, Jinx intends to become a warden once she graduates, and her first deal will be to bring her brothers back to life. Then she'll stay for another deal, which will be to bring Silco back to life. So, put simply, you need multiple deals if you're wanting to do Big Changes to canon.

Last, but not least, all inmates have to have died to arrive onto the barge (wardens do not have to die), but you're able to "headcanon" a death for them. Both Jinx and Ekko died together during the explosion on the bridge, near the end of Season 1. c:

Characters are led astray by the Fae and whisked away to their realm where they get adopted by one of the Faery Courts. Each one has a played court leader NPC and special abilities for characters to make deals to obtain. It's check-in AC and no power nerf, so there's lots of stuff to do, with optional fae body changes and opportunities for new abilities.

In short Synflux is a medium to fast cyberpunk setting with a event schedule of travel/monster of the week one month and downtime/SOL the following month. Large characters get reduced to a maximum of 10ft tall, keep their inhuman appearance. Power nerfing is middle of the road, truly over powered things being hit the hardest to keep a level field.

Synflux has a limit of 60 players, two characters per player. We are currently at 52.

Anyone from the class 431+ or earlier. Having younger members meet older Izuku would be interesting. Izuku being upset and freaking out about them being stuck in the situation he cannot save them from, would be heartbreaking. As a quick understanding, Izuku wouldn't want to do anything with them, but he does know a lot of people within their age range to refer them to.

Having younger Pro Heroes meet Older Izuku would be funny too and neat.

That said, anyone is cool.

It's a horror pandering sex game, meaning it will lean into Dark Themes. Everyone is good with CWing the content, and there is a friendly atmosphere. The plot is very open-ended and sandboxy, making it a great way to make your own fun in it.

The Mod team is great and very interactive, with the current cast of people wonderful with backtagging and easy to fall into tagging with. Although a bit slower(than what I was originally introduced to and used to), the backtagging and being able to tag at your own pace is a great prospect personally. It's easy to make your own fun, drop, or re-engage.

The story is currently up in the air(meaning I don't know too much about it), but they have a wonderful page to go over any information you are looking for. Find that Information Here. That said, from what I understand, some inner happenings is going on in the Down (submissive area basically), making it a bit turbulent at this time. A new(?) city was discovered due to the opening of a door, and people have been wandering to and fro. Again, sandbox fun!

Karteria is a dark fantasy monster transformation game where characters are brought in to assist in saving a world from its decline and death after the spread of Katalyth, a mineral typical humans cannot survive extended exposure to. Characters are fitted with an Augmenter to make them resistant to exposure and give them enhanced abilities, but at the cost of changing their form to align with whatever Natural Soul (various types of animal, plant, mineral, undead...) is in the Augmenter. Despite the condition of the world, there are functioning cities with various opportunities for characters to pursue, so it isn't a survivalist setting and characters can help improve (or not...) Augmented reputation by submitting what they've been getting up to.

[wanted]: SO MANY CHARACTERS. From P5, definitely the other Phantom Thieves, with a special interest in Morgana, Ann, and Ryuji from our Ren player, and Haru, Futaba, and Sumi from me. That being said, Sae, Makoto, Sojiro, Maruki... so many P5 characters would be delightful. Both Akechi and Ren are post-Royal!

Tbh, I'd even take a Shido for the potential intrigue that would bring.

For Persona 4, Naoto and Kanji are probably the big ones for me, but we'd both adore Yu and the Investigation Team as a whole, along with Dojima and Adachi. Marie would also be super fun!

For P3, Ken is my biggest wish along with Shinji, but either protagonist, the other SEES members, Ryoji, and Chidori would all be fantastic! Aigis would make such a cool Iron Valiant.

For older Persona, my biggest wants are Jun Kurosu and Reiji Kido due to the potential awesome CR with Akechi, but with an IS Maya on the TDM, it'd be rad to see Eikichi, Tatsuya (either timeline), Katsuya, and Ulala. Yukiko would be excellent, and any of the P1 gang would be rare unicorns that I'd quite enjoy!

And for spinoffs, Sho Minazuki is my big dream CR, but I'm also very fond of Sophia and Zenkichi from Strikers, Guernica from Tactica's DLC, Labrys, and both Toshiro and Erina. Ren's player is less familiar with Strikers and Tactica, and I'm only partway through the former, but still open to characters!

For Persona 5, the other Phantom Thieves (including Sumire), Maruki, Sae, Sojiro, and I'd adore Guernica from Tactica's DLC. Also very open to other P5 spinoff characters for P5, such as Toshiro, Erina, Sophia, and Zenkichi, though I've only gotten partway into Strikers (and Ren's player still needs to play both). Don't let that dictate canon points, though, as both games have been out for a hot minute.

For P5X characters, we are open to it for maximum shenanigans.

As far as Persona 3, the other SEES members, with a specific interest in Mitsuru and Shinji from Akihiko's player and Ken Amada from me (though he'd probably have to be the Ultimax version). Kotone's player is up to castmates in general, and I personally think Ryoji, Metis, and Chidori would all be rad as far as non-SEES characters go.

For Persona 4, we'd love to see Yu Narukami and Naoto in particular, but we love the Investigation Team in general, and Adachi and Dojima would also be quite fun. Sho and Labrys from Ultimax would also be a treat!

As for Persona 1 and 2, I love those casts to bits and would be happy to see them! Standouts for me personally are Jun, Maya, Reiji, and Tatsuya, but the entire P1 and P2 crews are a delight.
