It's a mix of slice of life and adventure as characters have the opportunity to explore the world around them and uncover its deeper mysteries, Or stick around town and enjoy day-to-day life.
As for the cast, things have been mostly chill. Arkos is a thing now and Ozpin recently came clean about the Maidens and all of that to most of the RWBY cast (minus Roman). Roman Torchwick is running around causing trouble, but not that much because there's a lot of people keeping an eye on him. I think most of the canonpoint are around v4 (or best applicable for those who didn't make it that far)
