ENABLEMEPLZ meme goes up on the last Saturday of every month FOR GAME ADS: ➤ Put an ad up with the characters / crew / pairings / fetish you want for your game under the correct game header. This meme is primarily going to be focused on DWRP games but IJ and LJ games are allowed. ➤ ABSOLUTELY NO obnoxious coding (no font size > size 4 or 3 "big" tags, no banners, no blinking text, no obnoxious tables, no sparklies, no pictures). Use all the colors you like, but please remember 3 "big" tags is the limit and that's only for headers or title text rather than for all the text in an ad. FOR GAME QUESTIONS: ➤ RPers interested in a game can create a header for the game and ask questions about that game that aren't easy to find on faqs, such as the actual pace vs. what's listed/what kind of plots are run/if the game leans more towards plotty or slice of life/if a game leans more towards network or logs, etc. Both anon questions and anon answers are welcome in this section just like in the rest of the meme. ➤ This thread is not for speaking about wank or drama in a game. [game info]: A horror/jamjaresque game where characters are stuck in a city controlled by a pantheon of emotion-based gods. Arc 2 just ended and we're finally out of the hellcave, and it's looking like there's going to be some exploration in the coming future with the city moving between planets! The NPCs are engaging, there's so much room to interact with the metaplot, and it's just wicked fun. AC is 20 comments a month with log comments counting double!

The characters adjust to daily life in an emotion fueled society while also trying to unravel the mysteries of the world below. There's always plenty to do, with an overarching plot, player plots, and a constantly updated task board featuring things the characters can keep themselves busy with.

[game info]: Entranceway is an old-school jamjar where characters are trapped in a world based around Alice in Wonderland, with a world that slowly takes their memories. There's lots of opportunity for player plots (as events are based around character memories) and an engaging metaplot, plus an amazing mechanic with characters having "Mirror" versions of themselves behind the glass watching their every move. AC is bimonthly so it's a little heavier (1 open post/toplevel and 4 7-comment threads) but because AC periods are so extended just about everyone backtags the entire period.

The Wake is where characters 'wake up' in a nexus sorry Doctors no time sight here and need to learn how to survive/coop with this new way of life. The main point of this game is character growth. Characters are encouraged to learn and grow beyond canon in however which why they might based on the in game influencing factors.

Powers are able to regain abilities but not game breaking powers; example time sight. However, characters are also allowed to learn abilities they never had in canon. For instance; shapeshifting. When characters Ascend; aka the character growth, those characters are able to learn higher abilities, like being able to Fly or Teleport. As well as being able to travel to other worlds and fixing flaws (A Player Plot)

The story of the game itself is that there was a war with god like beings, one of those god-like beings in secret became the game setting (Nautilus) and therefore Nautilus is an actual living being that is conscious but don't worry most of the time Nautilus are like the majority of the Time Lords and doesn't interfere.

[game info]: Our game's ad is here. The basic premise is mem-loss and regain in which characters start out as an AU and through game mechanics, events and more begin to regain memories of their canonical selves while solving the deeper mystery of the city and the surrounding areas. Our AU workshop is 1/11 with reserves/TDM on 1/18 and apps on 1/25. The game runs on a bi-monthly app cycle so the next app round would be March. AC is 20 comments spread across 2-4 threads plus one memory regain per month and there's always something to do! February will be our next big plot month with plenty of opportunities to get involved gearing more toward plot and action/adventure! The tone of the game and the upcoming events allow for both plot-driven characters and those who would prefer to work on more character-driven interactions and growth with effects and changes occurring on the regular. While this is a memloss-regain game, characters can regain their items and powers alongside their memories.

[game info]: Eway is a game set in Wonderland. Only, this Wonderland tends to pull people out of their worlds and mess with them. There are events two times a month that eat a word or two from certain character's memories and subject the residents to reality-warping events. Players have the option of playing AU versions of their characters as the Mirrors, or copies of Wonderland's residents that live on the other side of the mirror. We just got done with Ewaymas, but apps are usually processed on sundays, so there's plenty of time to reserve and app.

[game info]: The Setting is Thedas from the Dragon Age world, canon familiarity isn't a requirement as the mods have laid everything out very well in posts and there's always the wiki. The typical character from a different world arrive via rift every other month, and have a shard on their hand that helps them 'seal' the rifts. The primary job of rifters in Fade Rift is to help the Inquisition, though it's not altogether required.

Characters are kind of molded to fit into the environment, so droids would typically become golems, or some other creature (I was joking about bb-8 as a mabari hound) and aliens would fit into one of the races of thedas, human, elf, dwarf, or qunari.

[game info]: Empatheias is a magical steampunk setting that primarily takes place on the titular floating island of Empatheias, hanging over the ruined surface world below that was destroyed due to war. Due to the downright magical effects emotions have in this world, players are not only able to explore, but also shape the world itself; too much jealousy could cause plants that reach out possessively to capture people, only to be banished by feelings of appreciation instead, to say nothing of the individual effects you as a player can choose to occur whenever your character feels a particular way.

OOCly, Empatheias is a large, medium-paced game with plenty of opportunity for both slice of life and plot aspects - plot-wise, there are many characters who are seeking to both heal the ruined world below as well as discover the truth of what happened to bring it to such a state. Some characters (the Spiral cast included) have businesses they run on the side for more slice of life opportunities; that said, it's perfectly acceptable to focus on one or the other, just as it's also entirely possible to do a bit of both! A character who adventures can definitely work at a bakery so they can actually afford things.

As for the Spiral cast specifically, Hizumi and Ayumu have been in the game for a number of years and are both going to be nineteen as of December first! They are also secretly dating. Thanks to the power emotions have in this world, they were able to break the curse on themselves and are no longer God nor the Devil. They're both hoping for the Blade Children to show up so that they can teach them the same method to save themselves, as it requires one to channel the emotions gathered over the course of at least four months. They run a cat café with Hiyono and have a number of cats named after the Blade Children, and all three are involved in both slice of life antics as well as plot! The main thing of note is that Hizumi and Ayumu are from chapter 58 and in an attempt not to break everything, we'd prefer that characters are apped from prior to Hizumi Doing A Murder (or even from Spiral: Alive, that's perfectly cool too!)

Because I'm selfish, I'm most interested in characters who Beth knows / would be a degree removed from (like the way she and Enid have mutual friendfamilythings in Maggie and Glenn) / would be really interesting thematically for her development/your character's development (such as futzing with Beth and Morgan's various approaches to revenge, killing, and everything else).

[game info]: Mask or Menace is nominally a superhero game that also incorporates slice-of-life and other genres as plots allow for it. I've been in the game for about two months now, and it's been a lot of fun--it's very possible to keep busy, and it provides a similar tonal shift as Alexandria did in canon.

A note regarding castmates: I haven't yet watched s8, but it's high on my to-do list once I have a couch to watch it on, lmao. Characters from the game or comics are also certainly welcome (the disconnect of conversations like "what are you talking about, Lori and the baby are both dead" sounds fantastic to me) with the caveat that I'm not as familiar with them.

[game info]: Riverview is a chill game set on a quarantined moon, where characters are rather unceremoniously dropped in via portal (either as a result of feeling displaced in canon or just as a fluke). There's a lot of room for both plot/exploration-style RP or for CR-building, slice-of-life, etc. I've been here for a bit over a month now and I've found it to be super welcoming and very backtag friendly! There are a lot of different in-game settings to play with and a lot of different character types to bounce off of!

AC is 1 10-comment thread per month, and everyone has the option to round up their threads for additional Activity Points, which can be used to get special items/powers/things from home once you've saved enough points up! The latest TDM is here and still hella active. If anyone has questions or whatever I will gladly do my best to answer them!

[game info]: Empatheias (mostly) takes place in a charming little steampunk town located on a floating island high above a ruined world, with the game's overall aim being to restore life to said ruined world with the power of our ~emotions~ because in Emp, characters' emotions can and do have tangible effects on the environment around them. The game is roughly equal parts slice of life and adventuring with lots of opportunities for shenanigans and pain both. AC is light (10 comments or 1 entry + 7 comments per month) and the game runs at roughly a medium pace with widespread backtagging.

So at the end of last month, Keith had a hell of a canon update and came back thinking he's dead, so the cast has mostly been dealing with that this month to... varying degrees of success, culminating in Keith organizing the rest of the cast to steal a tree from a local park in order to give Shiro a surprise Christmas for the second year in a row. This is our cast. This is what we're like.

[game info]: Recollé is a memory loss AU where all characters are apped in as part of a modern AU, only to regain memories of their canon selves. The AU portion is pretty open to placing your character in as similar or different circumstances, so long as their core personality remains in tact. Theo here, for example, is instead an actor who's living a double life with an acting persona under his stage name, using his real name to go incognito around town.

The events can include silly shenanigans as well as more serious ones; for a time, there were monsters roaming the streets. On the other hand, there's other changes to the world that characters may have to work together to fix, such as colors vanishing and turning to grey instead. There's plenty of both slice and life as well as plot to delve into as characters try to piece together what their memories are and what's going on.

The game is pretty fast paced in that things happen often and quickly, but in my experience most people are open to backtagging for quite some time! There is a rather involved AC system to earn points that can be spent on regains such as powers, abilities, and physical items, but there's also plenty of ways people have created to make totaling it all up as painless as possible. With how strange their world is, I'd really love to see anyone from this little game!

[game info]: Sooooo best part first? NO APPLICATION NEEDED. Just go and claim your character, get accepted, join the comms, and start rp-ing! There is an AC where you check in, but there's no major pressure (but goodness knows there is ALWAYS something happening that will keep you active anyway). It's very character driven, the players are so incredibly cool both ic and ooc, and the mods are easy to talk to (ooc interaction is always a bonus for me). There's a HUGE cast from all different kinds of fandoms, so come on over and LET US LOVE YOU.

GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY @ RIVERVIEW

RV is super lowkey and doesn't demand much, and it offers a lot of opportunities for adventures and exploration, while giving characters the chance to form connections and settle in.

Peter and Gamora are existing pretty quietly and comfortably, while also training for when they inevitably go back home. They'll also probably be getting an NPC Baby Groot next month so????? If having that little menace around piques your interest, that's totally going to be a thing. ANYWAY. COME BE A PART OF THEIR DYSFUNCTIONAL FAMILY.

FAIRY TAIL @ GENESSIA

[wanted]: anyone from the Fairy Tail guild itself would be wonderful!  Natsu, Lucy, Happy, Gray, Wendy, Carla, Gajeel, Juvia, Elfman, Lisanna, Makarov... I could go on and on, but you get the point.

For people outside of the Fairy Tail guild, we'd love to see Jellal, anyone from Crime Sorciere, Kagura, Millianna, or any of the Spriggan Twelve (especially August, Eileen, or Brandish).

Given the people who are already in the game, any of the founding members of Fairy Tail (Hades/Precht, Warrod, Yuri Dreyar, or Zeira) could be interesting. Tartaros still has a base in this setting from when its members were there previously, so someone from there could be fun! (For the players, at least)

[game info]: Genessia is a fairly easy-going slice of life game.  It's a jamjar, with the option for investigating the city and its mysteries (who sent them there, why, etc.)  The city itself is divided into several zones, loosely corresponding to genres and settings of the canons (modern, sci-fi, fantasy, etc.).  The game encourages player-run plots, and there are in-game elections for Guardians, people who are in charge of keeping each zone safe.  More information can be found here.

The fact that a branch of the Fairy Tail and Tartaros guilds are in Genessia (built by characters who were there previously) and one of the jobs is bounty hunting (which involves a lot of odd jobs, so basically what they already do in canon) makes it really easy to adapt.  At the moment, all of the Fairy Tail cast is living at the Fairy Tail guild hall, and they've managed to recruit a few new members from other worlds!

From a player's standpoint, the game is really easy to get into.  Just post on the Taken list and you're good - no application necessary!  As long as you post somewhat regularly, respond to the check-in every couple of months, and stay in-character for who you're playing as, you're good to go!

DRAGON BALL @ GENESSIA

[wanted]: any family members of the current cast would be greatly appreciated.  Krillin would be fantastic, given his interactions with Goku and the Androids (especially in Super), and Vegeta and Trunks (any version) would also be appreciated!  I'd love to see Chi-Chi, Gohan, or Goten, and any of the Universe 6 Saiyans would make things interesting.

Any of the main cast that I haven't mentioned would be great, of course, and villains could be fun (though Genessia isn't exactly equipped to deal with them for the most part).  As far as long-shots go, I've always wanted to play Goku off of Roshi (I really like their dynamic, and Super helped to build that up), and any of Goku's Saiyan family would be great, since that side of things doesn't really get explored outside of video games.
[game info]: Genessia is a slice of life game set in five different cities which are connected by portals.  Nobody knows why they've been brought there, though characters have the option of trying to figure that out.  Otherwise, there are mod plots and player plots that happen regularly.  As a whole, the game is quite easy-going, with a lot of room for creativity.  More information about it can be found here.

Applications and Activity Check are both insanely easy.  For applications, you post your character's name to the taken list, and you're good to go.  Activity Check happens once every few months, and you just post that you're still interested in playing as that character.  As long as you've posted regularly and are staying in character, that's all you need to worry about.
