ENABLEMEPLZ meme goes up on the last Saturday of every month FOR GAME ADS: ➤ Put an ad up with the characters / crew / pairings / fetish you want for your game under the correct game header. This meme is primarily going to be focused on DWRP games but IJ and LJ games are allowed. ➤ ABSOLUTELY NO obnoxious coding (no font size > size 4 or 3 "big" tags, no banners, no blinking text, no obnoxious tables, no sparklies, no pictures). Use all the colors you like, but please remember 3 "big" tags is the limit and that's only for headers or title text rather than for all the text in an ad. FOR GAME QUESTIONS: ➤ RPers interested in a game can create a header for the game and ask questions about that game that aren't easy to find on faqs, such as the actual pace vs. what's listed/what kind of plots are run/if the game leans more towards plotty or slice of life/if a game leans more towards network or logs, etc. Both anon questions and anon answers are welcome in this section just like in the rest of the meme. ➤ This thread is not for speaking about wank or drama in a game. There are anoncomms that exist for that. This thread is specifically for general questions about a game that rpers want to get perspective on from players already in the game. Answers can be slightly negative (such as saying app response is slow or that the plots are repetitive or similar things) but this should at least be worded politely. Aliens AUs

Alien Franchise aliens, or any sort of alien aliens? Action-adventure-horror aliens bent on conquering Earth, or just alien species? Those are very important questions, however I'm pretty much up for both / either and what not. Plot and world-building and slow posting is A+ in my books also, if you're game! I've recently discovered MGS, though I have Weird character to offer for it, but yeah... he's easy for me to AU into anything, p. much.

this might be a long shot but it would be so great to see a howl at futurology? it is a mission-based game that focuses on "saving timelines" so each mission requires a different thing in an entirely new setting. it fluctuates between plot (especially during missions) and sol (interspersed between the events and downtime). i would say it's generally medium pacing that can pick up during event times, but it is very backtag-friendly!

Excellent! Alien franchise is one of my favourite things out there haha I haven't done one like this yet either, but I'd be stoked to try!

It's definitely something that could build up on the original movies, I think, when they manage to bring the specimen back to Earth (rather than some stations? unless we'd want to keep to that! I'm ok with either :>), though it'd be tricky to answer then how do they keep the xenomorphs from wiping out the entire Earth population, considering what perfect predators they are aha!

Though, on the other hand, on Earth it's also not that huge of an issue if they bleed acid, since there's no hull to eat through and kill everyone like that (though it's still an issue that it can eat through defences...), so maybe that's how they (the xenomorphs, that is) manage not to get such an upper hand and the humans (and the like) manage to survive? Orrr could be just the beginning, when one way or another they try to stop someone worse from intercepting (Cipher??) the thing, or try to intercept it themselves and not let it be born, but obviously shit goes down and xenomorph happens and they're stuck trying to contain it and kill it?

This last one might leave with the most flexibility, I think, with how fast we would want it spreading and what plots to build from that point onwards!

Since private military bases on ocean platforms were a thing, I was thinking that would be the sort of out-there place Weyland-Yutani would own. But something like that is also something Cipher could want very badly (like they wanted enhanced parasites or a cure for them from ~spoiler traitor name~). So maybe there could be some attempts at industrial espionage that go horror movie levels of wrong.

That all sounds good! Did you have a role in mind for Kaz in all of this? For Legolas, I could go two routes. I usually leave him an elf for modern AUs, bc it's easy, given that they're immortal (not unkillable) and eternally young... so he could be either also spying on WY's activities like Cipher just without causing an Incident, by getting himself hired as security guard and what not orrr another of WY's special specimen, considering their interests in the various movies and such.

Depends on whether you'd be interested in adding something like that to the fray!

Maybe you could have a look at futurology? It's a mission-based game where characters are recruited to help salvage timelines, with a different world to help each mission! I'm already playing Shizuo there, and I can definitely vouch for it being super backtag-friendly and quite chill on the pacing end of things, with a mellow ac. We're currently trying out a player cap at 75, but still have five slots open right now! And Shizuo would just be generally really happy to have his headless bff around tbh :')

There's an open tdm here if you'd like to just drop in and test things out, which I'd be more than happy to help with! But everything aside it's real nice to see a Celty around in dwrp, a+ taste friend

I have a feeling Chase has already given you a spiel, but SG is a pretty small, generally slower paced game with a close-knit player base! It's very character driven, so your choices will affect the overarching plot of the game. There's a lot of horror elements, but it can get more lighthearted as well... this little succubus is gonna be running her own chocolate shop soon, for instance.
