July EMP Meme
FOR GAME ADS: ➤ Put an ad up with the characters / crew / pairings / fetish you want for your game under the correct game header. This meme is primarily going to be focused on DWRP games but IJ and LJ games are allowed. ➤ ABSOLUTELY NO obnoxious coding (no font size > size 4 or 3 "big" tags, no banners, no blinking text, no obnoxious tables, no sparklies, no pictures). Use all the colors you like, but please remember 3 "big" tags is the limit and that's only for headers or title text rather than for all the text in an ad. FOR GAME QUESTIONS: ➤ RPers interested in a game can create a header for the game and ask questions about that game that aren't easy to find on faqs, such as the actual pace vs. what's listed/what kind of plots are run/if the game leans more towards plotty or slice of life/if a game leans more towards network or logs, etc. Both anon questions and anon answers are welcome in this section just like in the rest of the meme. ➤ This thread is not for speaking about wank or drama in a game. There are anoncomms that exist for that. This thread is specifically for general questions about a game that rpers want to get perspective on from players already in the game. Answers can be slightly negative (such as saying app response is slow or that the plots are repetitive or similar things) but this should at least be worded politely. Unnecessary vitriol, any mention of personal drama or wank, or mod teams/individual mods/players being singled out, will be frozen and/or deleted. FOR CHARACTER ADS: ➤ Put up an ad about the characters you are offering. For PSL/1-on-1 ads, there is a separate subthread but for character ads for games, post directly to the meme post. Others will comment to you with the games/casts they want you to join. ➤ There is a "Find a Castmate" section, where you can talk about a cast you play in at a game, and try to lure people to join it. Not all games post to the meme or have a "wanted" section, so players that want to tempt people to their cast on their own can use this section for it. Please format this the same as the PSL/1-on-1 section, where you post the canons in your subject. For the actual text of the ad you must use the "Find a Castmate" form provided at the bottom of this post so that these ads don't get huge. When listing who's currently in a cast, please do this in sentence form (with commas) rather than in list form. ➤ ABSOLUTELY NO obnoxious coding, with the same rules as the Game Ads Section above. ➤ If you're recommending a game to someone, try to match your suggestion to their needs. It's okay if part of your game rec is copy-pasted (such as what the game's about), but at least some part of the rec must be personalized to their ad. Try not to recommend the same game to every single ad, either. Ad spam that isn't individualized in some way will also be screened. IN GENERAL: ➤ Don't be a dick. This isn't one of the anoncomms, so any snide comments or unnecessary commentary on the RP plans of others will be screened. MOD CONTACT: If there's trouble, tell me HERE, please! SPELLBIND ▢ a sci-fi / fantasy adventure game ▢ apps open august 1st
At least, that's the first thought you have. You aren't where you were a second ago, as dumb as that sounds. There's a lot going through your head and your body -- new physical sensations, a throbbing in your temple, a lump in your throat. Things are missing, things are gained. There's not a lot you know about where you are, but after a few minutes -- maybe more than a few if you're the late blooming sort -- you've come to discover something very crucial:
There's magic within you.

CUDDLE CITY ▸ opening august 1; tdm #002 is now live!
You've made a wish. What wish you've made is a personal one — you might have wished to remain in the paradise you've previously found, or to avoid certain death or dismemberment, or perhaps just to have enough money to pay the bills. Whatever the reason, your wish has caught the attention of the Energem, a magical entity capable of generating wish stones — magical gems with the power to grant a wish in your own home world.
The Energem has summoned you to the city of Cadelle — pronounced "cuh-deh-ley", of course, but feel free to call it Cuddle City like everyone else — to help. The city, you'll soon learn from a well-dressed, low-level government official, is suffering from an energy crisis. No coal or wind power will do; the city runs off of positive energy, typically generated by local schoolchildren on volunteer field trips or native adults running food drives, but their stores are quite low.
Can you help? Don't worry if you're not a do-gooder. The city has recently discovered that — ahem — more intimate actions might help generate energy, too. Of course, you'll need to keep in mind the city's no-tolerance policies for breaking the laws of consent, but other than that, you're free as a bird!
In exchange for your help in generating much-needed energy for the city, you'll be offered a wish stone from the Energem upon generation of 100 Cadelle units of energy. You can choose to return home with your wish stone right away, making your own personal wish come true, or you may opt to gift the wish stone back to the city in exchange for some unique amenities. Perhaps you'd like your very own year's supply of Big Belly Burger... or that pet you're missing from home? You never know what kind of wishes can be granted.

INCERTA TEMPORA → A ZOMBIE APOCALYPSE GAME
INCERTA TEMPORA
Welcome to Aqora.
You've died of a mysterious and incurable virus and now you've woken up in a boarded up apartment building. It's not Heaven, it's not Hell, it's... Los Angeles in the year 2025. It's two years into the apocalypse and things are going all right - if you take into account the fact that you're living surrounded by steel and concrete walls, there are armed sentries at every gate, and there are zombies shambling around in underground parking structures while the community's doctor does experiments trying to find a cure. The government - if it can be called that - is comprised of a small committee of four native citizens that seem to have your best interests at heart. But do they? Are they hiding something? Why do people come and go? Why don't any of them? Why can't anyone explain anything?
There are always necessary things. Go on runs to grab supplies for the community. Head out to the nearby reservoir to get water. Take up farming. Go out to find more communities. Kill zombies.
While a main point of the game is slice of life in the apocalypse, there are plenty of planned mod plots in the coming months that will keep characters busy. There are big things on the horizon, and the zombies aren't the only enemies you'll have to worry about.

LIFEAFTR || A PANFANDOM EXPLORATION GAME
They make the heart bigger.
You rouse to a splash of sea salt drying on your skin. A haze of glass-white sand glitters in your vision, dappled by lush palms and thick, curling foliage that disappears into a jungle of deep jade. From behind, crackling wood and sawing rope groan from a mangled life raft ran ashore. A petering wash of tide over pebbled sand fills your ears as you struggle to gain your bearings in a vast portrait of tropical color.
Perhaps you have arrived here without warning, plucked from a world you hadn’t expected to so suddenly depart. Perhaps you had met your final destination long before you stirred upon these crystal shores. Your guide, the Storyteller, does not discriminate. You’re here now, and the taste of the ocean is thick on your tongue, the faint stirring of warm wind soft against your back as it almost seems to encourage you forth into the island’s vibrant understory.
Welcome to the archipelago of LifeAftr. Your story is about to begin anew.
Lifeaftr is a panfandom game set in an archipelago of the same name, with a heavy focus on survival, exploration, and worldbuilding. Both player and IC influence are strong factors in shaping the dynamic setting, as well as the incorporation of RNG elements. Primary genres are survival and adventure, with genre shifts circling a broad range in accordance with plots and events.

THE UNRIVALED - a panfandom adventure
There is a dimension outside time and space where pieces of ancient lands have been mashed together into a new world, meant to serve as the personal playground of the demon Orochi where he could entertain himself by fighting against and conquering the most powerful warriors from human history. He nearly succeeded, but in the end, those humans won and destroyed him. Orochi's original incarnation is no more. However, defeating him didn't send the warriors all home to their own times as some expected. Instead, the rift between the mystical realm and the real world opened even wider, and the power of Orochi's spirit continued to rip up whole castles and towns by the roots, bring them to his dimension, and plop them down next to existing lands. Orochi's servants are still out there, and the lands are still overrun by demon armies. The mystic Taira Kiyomori has not been discouraged by his failure to resurrect Orochi, he continues to try in the hopes that if he can succeed, Orochi will return and destroy this entire dimension. On top of this, new territories are still being transplanted, and bringing with them strange and wonderful new inhabitants. There is no way home until someone can finally break the hold Orochi's spirit has on this patchwork dimension. The problem is, no one, not even the mystics themselves, can say whether doing so will safely send everyone back to their own times – or destroy them all in one final cataclysm.
The Unrivaled takes place in the world of Warriors Orochi, set in a time after the false end of WO3 in which the Hydra was defeated but it didn't cause the world to end. This game is meant to be a structured sandbox with guided plot, a place for adventure where players literally shape the world itself.

Xistentia: Sci-fi/fantasy Adventure and Community Game (Apps Now Open)
Every canon, mythology, storyverse is a complex program. There are hundreds if not infinite iterations of each, running parallel to one another. Taken altogether, this multiverse is a supersystem called F.A.T.E.S., Front-end Alternacosmic Timeline Executive Server. This server preserves time and space and the innumerable minute differences between world iterations, as well as the beings in them.
And now, the multiverse is under attack.
The destructive vector is called D.E.S.T.I.N.Y., the Data Exception Scrubber Timeline Inquisition Network Yconivirus. The virus manifests itself in "canon" worlds a variety of ways, most commonly catastrophic natural disasters (earthquakes, electrical storms), bizarre monsters, or an invading army of beings in red armor.
Regardless of the details, the common factor is clear: the timelines are ending, derailed by massive apocalyptic events that are not canon.
Fortunately, F.A.T.E.S. will not go down without a fight. Your character has become part of that battle for survival.
Welcome to Xistentia.
Xistentia is a casually-paced post-apocalyptic sci-fi/fantasy panfandom game. No invitations required. Your characters arrive as refugees in a safe haven dimension with a forest and a beautiful green city. The defenses are powered by the intense emotional connections between the characters, whether negative or positive.
Gameplay focuses on intimate character development, science-fiction/fantasy elements, questions of reality, exploration (the local world, the multiverse), community-building, and action-adventure. Plots and events that dip into other genres (sex, horror, etc.) that are optional. Missions may be completed to turn back the tide of D.E.S.T.I.N.Y. and repair the homeworlds.
We're running an inaugural plot for our public opening! The plot is loosely based on Spiderman: Homecoming and the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
We kicked off with a Prequel in the Test Drive Meme, when characters land in the middle of the Battle of New York. Fending off aliens, new arrivals gradually find their memories and bodies begin to change...
Today, the plot is live and apps are open. Tensions are rising between the Enhanced and normal humans.
This plot is spoiler-free for Spiderman: Homecoming.

Re: NEW GAMES
We are a team of outcasts and misfits, so please don't call us heroes. We're Legends.”
- Legends of Tomorrow
Los Angeles 2017.
After their adventures in World War I era France the Legends were caught in a time storm. Their ship, the Waverider suffered heavy damage and was forced to ground in 2017 Los Angeles. They quickly discovered that something had gone very wrong.
Dinosaurs from the Cretaceous, the Roman Colosseum and the Great Wall of China all existing in the same place. Cavemen now living down the street from people who should have been from the 31st century. Horse and buggies driving next to Mercedes and everyone acting like there was nothing wrong.
Time was broken. Time is broken; there's nothing that can be done about it. With another time jump being impossible the Legends were forced to spread out to scout the area. One by one each of them was swept up into the time stream, leaving only Gideon.
While relocating the Waverider to safety, Gideon began to pick up signs of aberrations ...

LOST RAIDERS - A DARK ADVENTURE GAME
w e l c o m e t o t h e j u n g l e
Outside The City, jungle chokes out the sunlight. Ruins hide among the lush, overgrown leaves — and other things, prowling and hungry for more than just a quick meal, waiting for you to leave the safety of The City's walls. And make no mistake: you will have to venture out of the walls' shadows sooner or later. The City's twin gods demand tribute from within the ruins, and dire consequences await anyone foolish enough to ignore their commands.
Complete enough of the gods' Objectives, make a name for yourself, and life in The City can be very, very good indeed. Fail, and you may just be swallowed whole.
LOST RAIDERS is an 18+ panfandom jamjar adventure game with an easy monthly AC used to shape the flow of the game. Flexible events and goals allow player actions to have major effects on the setting and tone of the game and provide for a wide range of IC experiences, ranging from fluffy slice of life, to explicit and kinky sex, to the most extreme of horror. Events will always be opt-in, but the game's core is based around dark, potentially disturbing themes and a kink-positive environment. The game aims to provide a non-judgmental arena in which to facilitate and explore dark experiences for characters; as long as everyone involved is OOCly comfortable, anything can go.
TEST DRIVE MEME
» if you got the money honey we got your disease «
Sixth Iteration
The good news is, you’re not alone in this predicament. The town you’ve found yourself in is quaint, if a bit antiquated, with its tidy rows of bungalows and scenic views. You have shelter, warmth, and at least some resources.
The bad news is, you don’t have a way out, and the longer you’re here, the more you suspect that isn’t accidental.
In Sixth Iteration, you play the role of both the trapped character and the invisible Observers subjecting them to experimentation. Part of a long-term social observation scenario, characters in the game are subject to memory alteration, sudden special abilities, manufactured disasters and an endless well of mystery. Your character has to decide for themselves: Is it better to accept your fate or to fight for answers?

WE THE LOST
Waking up somewhere new isn't that surprising anymore, is it?
Not when you're the Lost.
You've awakened in new worlds,
battled monsters,
staged revolutions,
and struggled to stay alive.
You've done far more than the god Zephyr knows or ever will know.
All Zephyr truly knows now is that you are in need.
They see you and know you have no home.
This is why you're here. You need a home, and Zephyr needs believers.
Can you work together to build this new world?
We the Lost is primarily a healing game, but while the characters learn and grow; so too does the god that brought them here. Each choice and interaction that your character makes affects the way that Zephyr ultimately views the world. This world is nothing without you.
Characters will encounter the child god, Zephyr, face-to-face and help them grow into a full-fledged god. Zephyr has a name and a form, but they still have much left to figure out about themselves--with the help of the people that they bring in. There are also several other gods who occasionally look in on the Meadous and have a tendency to meddle.
Mod-run events occur roughly once a month and range from silly (e.g., a kite flying festival) to serious and dangerous (e.g., gods tampering with the negative emotions of characters).
Will your character come to accept the Meadous as their new home? Or will they try to find some means of escape? Will they take advantage of the wishing pond? Zephyr can grant many desires: healing characters from their previous games, restoring magic and items, and much more.

WANTED
SNOWBLIND
Reservations are currently open. Our current test drive is here. Applications will open for reserved applicants on July 1 and for everyone on July 3.
The air is cold and still. It is silent, aside from the electronic voice of some nearby device that speaks to you, repeating its message incessantly until you comply. The walls, the floor, the ceiling are all unfamiliar to you. You have little food and water, inadequate supplies, and no map to help you get your bearings. You are completely alone.
You have found yourself in an at least half-ruined, abandoned town swallowed by perpetual winter. If the days are chilly, the nights bring treacherously sharp cold and even more snow. Much of the time, you will be alone, your most constant companion a small tablet that connects you to a network composed of travelers like yourself.
Find food, find the records of the previous residents, find whoever or whatever brought you here. Work together with other travelers both in person and over the network to piece together clues and open up new areas. Explore while dealing with the eerie atmosphere that suffocates the town and claws its way into your mind--maybe even literally. Figure out just what happened to this place. Seek a way out. Above all else, keep moving.
In Norfinbury, if you're not moving, you might as well already be dead.
Snowblind is a plot-centered panfandom psychological horror game for ages sixteen and up. With its main themes of isolation, survival, and exploration, it relies on players communicating and interacting with Norfinbury to open up the setting and solve the plot's mysteries. The game is initially capped at one hundred characters, with five per canon, although eventually it will expand. Characters will be able to discover remnants of the past residents and through these remnants figure out what happened and why they're here. If they're lucky, maybe they'll figure out how to go home--or at least how to stop this from ever happening again. While the town itself is unforgiving and dangerous, events will be focused on the psychologically stressful nature of the setting; this is not a game based around fighting monsters. Snowblind is a game with a definite plotline that will run between two and two and a half years (with a possibility of extension).

LOST CARNIVAL: faeries and fair rides
You earned yourself a debt. There are a lot of ways to do it. Maybe you played a game of chance without paying, and then lost. Maybe you watched part of a show through the curtains of the Big Top without a ticket. Or maybe you’re one of the rare few to seek out the Ringmaster by choice, to see what this strange new world has to offer. Either way, you end up with a job with which to pay the carnival back, and a contract.
For a year and a day, you’ll travel with the carnival, given work to match your skills. You’ll see the multiverse and help to bring wonder to its various inhabitants. You’ll meet new people, discover new passions, and change in ways both physical and emotional. And after that... the Ringmaster vows to return you to the precise place and moment you left. If, of course, that is what you still want.
Sounds like a good deal, right? Well, either way, it doesn’t really matter what you think of it at the moment. The Ringmaster has decided to give this opportunity, and you had better make the best of it.
As you’ll soon learn, sometimes what goes on backstage is more complicated than it seems, and a carnival that can travel through worlds can also earn itself some powerful enemies.
The game is likely to run for a couple years, and is intended to have a flexible and free form meta plot that encourages contributions from players, and will balance carnival slice of life with more involved and dramatic plot arcs.

MAISON DE PORTES
The sudden exhaustion must be the source of the dysphoria. Clearly the sense of falling is just part of a dream.
Nevertheless, you wake in a bed. Your clothes have been changed, and your things are missing. The trunk at the bottom of the bed has your name engraved on the plate. A strange notebook warms to your touch and holds your name.
A place has been prepared for you.
Welcome.
About the Game:
Maison De Portes is a pan-fandom survival horror/mystery game. The potential for death and harm to come to your characters is almost guaranteed. The game is prose-only, with a very easy activity check. We have multiple story paths, with endings to be decided by the actions of the characters. The game is slow to mid paced, fairly small, with lots of chances for characters to work together to solve the situation they find themselves in. We are very backtag friendly and very willing to work around schedules, we feel that RP should be fun, not an additional job. Apps and reserves are currently open! We accept OCs and AUs as well as canon characters.

City of Sin is a panfandom community-based game on Dreamwidth. Characters wake up in a district based on their character's dominant sin and find the City's pull brings out the impulses they usually resist. The game itself encourages darker elements (such as sex and violence), with different sins and emotions being In Prominence (more influential on everyone) for an in-game week at a time.
Please note that the City of Sin is not a sex game, but rather a mature game of indulging in all of your character's baser urges. We run at a 3:1 ratio, and require only a minimum of 15 comments per month. OCs and CRAUs more than welcome!
