March EMP Meme
FOR GAME ADS: ➤ Put an ad up with the characters / crew / pairings / fetish you want for your game under the correct game header. This meme is primarily going to be focused on DWRP games but IJ and LJ games are allowed. ➤ PLEASE NOTE A RULE CHANGE HERE. ABSOLUTELY NO obnoxious coding (no font size > size 4 or 3 "big" tags, no oversized banners (they must be 250px in height or less), no blinking text, no obnoxious table html that doesn't collapse easily, no sparklies, no large pictures). Use all the colors you like, but please remember 3 "big" tags is the limit and that's only for headers or title text rather than for all the text in an ad. FOR GAME QUESTIONS: ➤ RPers interested in a game can create a header for the game and ask questions about that game that aren't easy to find on faqs, such as the actual pace vs. what's listed/what kind of plots are run/if the game leans more towards plotty or slice of life/if a game leans more towards network or logs, etc. Both anon questions and anon answers are welcome in this section just like in the rest of the meme. ➤ This thread is not for speaking about wank or drama in a game. [game info]: DF is a game set in space, based around a reality show. That aspect can be played up or down, depending on preference. The fleet visits different systems and sometimes deals with shit that goes down. Characters get augments to assign them to a role on a ship, and they can have upgrades through those. The game is invite only, but players are pretty open about inviting people if someone wants in. c:

Empatheias is a game where emotions influence the environment and shape the world around you. There's some SOL, with an overarching plot and space to run your own player plots. For the most part, the core of this game is the playerbase decides where they want the world to go. There's lots of world building, with characters exploring and discovering more of the world outside of the starting city. Pacing-wise, from my experience it sits around mid-pace, with it picking up during events. You have two options to complete AC, 1 Entry and 7 comments from elsewhere, or 10 comments added up from two threads minimum. You only need to meet half AC the first month you app in!
Currently Reserves are open and applications will open between April 1st-4th and this is our current Test Drive!

[game info]: A horror/jamjaresque game where characters are stuck in a city controlled by a pantheon of emotion-based gods. Arc 2 just ended and we're finally out of the hellcave, and characters are finally starting to get out exploring other cities! The NPCs are engaging, there's so much room to interact with the metaplot, and it's just wicked fun. AC is 20 comments a month with log comments counting double!

There are opportunities to explore the world and uncover its mysteries, as well as a task board with a variety of different quests/odd jobs that characters can take on, plus events that can play with the characters’ emotions. It can be a fun game to play with the emotional problems of various SU characters!

[game info]: Awash is a jamjar panfandom game where the characters wake up in a town completely devoid of color (characters and belongings retain their colors though). Each character is assigned a hexadecimal color code, and they're here to help bring color into the world! From the premise page: Awash is a character driven panfandom game that welcomes canon and original characters. There will be monthly events that are a mix of creepy and fantastical, drawing on folklore and fairy tale alike, as characters attempt to resolve the dilemma of this colorless, nameless town and find a way back home.
The game is new (it opened this month, actually!) so it's a little early to see what to expect from events and such, but I've been having a good time so far and I'd love to get some castmates! AC is 25 comments/month (across minimum of 3 threads and a maximum or five) or 1 post + 10 comments. For more info, the navigation page can be found here.
The game also has a player cap of 80 and assuming there are no drops in April there will be ~25 slots left for new players for the second round when its starts on May 1st. Reserves filled up in about a minute last time so you'll probably have to camp at the reserve page and be ready to put yours in the second they open so that's something to keep in mind; if you won't be around to put yours in, I'm willing to proxy reserve for you - just let me know! That said, reserves expire before the application period ends, and when they do apps are open even to those who didn't get a reserve in.

There's a good deal to do SOL wise with monthly task boards devoted to jobs that can be done for money or gifts. There is also a good deal of plot dealing with Verens, the city where characters begin, and exploring the rest of the world around them. Along the way players are attempting to revive the world and keep balance with the Arehtei.

[wanted]: We need a Lance to fill out the Paladin crew, obviously! Ulaz to fill out the Blade of Marmora crew would be nice, too. (Are any other Blades even appable?) Our Hunk would like a Shay, and our Lotor would like any of his generals to make his life more complicated. King Alfor would be great for various reasons, and I always want anybody from the original Voltron or GoLion for cross-canon confusion. App Sven I fucking dare you.
[game info]: Empatheias (mostly) takes place in a charming little steampunk town located on a floating island high above a ruined world, with the game's overall aim being to restore life to said ruined world with the power of our ~emotions~ because in Emp, characters' emotions can and do have tangible effects on the environment around them. The game is roughly equal parts slice of life and adventuring with lots of opportunities for shenanigans and pain both. AC is light (10 comments or 1 entry + 7 comments per month) and the game runs at roughly a medium pace with widespread backtagging.
The Voltron cast is well-established in game, with Shiro as our earliest character having been in the game since August 2016. We've got a nice little (slightly crowded) house, a sparkly Victorian uncle we've adopted, entirely too many pets, the works. Some stuff that's been going on recently or is otherwise good to know: Shiro recently regained the Black Lion, conveniently shrunk down to real-life-lion-size but otherwise not depowered, we've got an uneasy truce of sorts with Lotor, and Hunk is quietly suffering because he's the only person in the cast who's updated to S5 and he hasn't divulged quite all the details about it to the rest of the team. It's fun times!

Ranma 1/2 @ The Wake

[wanted]: Akane Tendo, Tatewaki Kuno (yes I am dead serious), Happosai (see Kuno), Ryoga Hibiki, and Ukyo Kuonji are my top priorities for castmates, BUT I will not turn away literally anyone else. Seriously. Give me all the Rumiko Takahashi Insanity. I'll even take other Takahashi canons coming in.
[game info]: Ranma has recently woken up in Nautilus, the city of change! It is a literal living city that thrives on Chaos -- everyone who wakes in Nautilus is woken from their reality to live there, to learn how to bend reality to their will, and to help keep the multiverse stable. Of course, no one is obligated to such a duty.
The game itself is slice-of-life with plot that turns up sometimes and at MINIMUM monthly opt-in events, either player suggested or mod created. Of course, you're not limited to these events -- with the help of an ascended character (a character who's been through a great deal of change and has been selected to become more powerful than average), there can be all kinds of world-hopping shenanigans to try and fix errors or, on accident (or on purpose), throw things entirely off-course so that someone else has to fix it. Alternately, you can just enjoy the setting with the ability to learn how to mess with reality while keeping in mind that the city can mess with it a lot more than you can.
Bending comes as a sort of power loss -- any inherit super-natural powers characters have would be taken away (for example, Ranma's Hiryu Shoten Ha from later in the series) at first. However, as people learn to bend reality, they can get these abilities back and more to do all kinds of crazy things, like transforming their bodies or creating extravagant luxury items. Really the only limitation is your imagination, ability, and that (in most cases) your will cannot override someone else's will.
Ranma himself is a relatively new resident to Nautilus, and I should point out that I applied him from the beginning of Chapter One, so who he will and won't recognize is still up in the air. Thanks to some finagling, Ranma is still effected by his curse as he hasn't learned how to change bodies without it yet. I would still be up for all of the people arriving and recognizing him instead though, if only to mess with him further. ;)

(Great for Tales characters who tend not to outwardly express their true feelings!

The game itself is a mix of slice-of-life and Cold War-esque metaplot, with room for characters to choose just how involved they'll get in any one aspect. I find it fun for TWD characters because it serves as a sort of respite from the misery and deprivation of their canon; when you aren't half-starving, there's a little more time to process what happened to you when you were.

Genessia is a game where your character wakes up in a pod in a sort of "hub world." There are five cities of various tech levels and "genres" connected by teleportation hubs, and there's a barrier, powered apparently by fear, around everything to keep some horrible forces out. You can only travel around if you have a pendant that the world's spirits gave you - a pendant that marks you as "real," opposed to the world's natural inhabitants.
There's a lot of stuff you can do, from searches that can unearth you interesting items or even game plot, to just living normally as a sort of slice of life situation. Characters are also able and encouraged to get all sorts of jobs and homes, and you can give away something precious in order to open up a gate into a fake little side dimension that looks a lot like somewhere in your canon, and then try to earn a wish to get what you lost back, if you like. Or try to get a wish for any other reason. There's a lot of super neat stuff!
Genessia is a panfandom, multigenre game heavily driven by player plots and character motivations with elements of slice of life and an overarching plot to be unfolded. No applications are required to join and activity is monitored by check-in and occasional moderator team tag checks. Apps are always open, so check it out!

Simply put, Recolle is a semi-AU game where characters begin the game with false (AU) memories and slowly (or quickly depending on your personal pace) recover memories of their true selves and true lives. Both Yato and Yukine have been there for around a year, so they remember a lot of who they used to be. Yukine, in particular, just recently became a shinki after being mortal for a year while Yato's has had his godhood back for a while now.
It's been a fun ride.

[game info]: LifeAftr is an exploration game set on some islands. AC is really light (all you have to do is remember to tag your characters into logs and whatnot) and there's bonus AC you can do if you want for neat stuff. Apps open at the end of each month and the FAQ can be found over here!
FIRE EMBLEM AWAKENING @ PHANTASMAL RIFT

[game info]: PhanRift is a comm-based dungeon exploration game with minimal power nerfing, extremely chill AC handled entirely on the mods' end, and a focus on power building: points earned through extra activity can be used to buy your character new items and abilities. Characters have fallen through cracks in reality called "Fissures" to the Keystone Research Station, at the center of a world almost entirely consumed by the distortions. During events they explore these Fissures, in the form of dungeons, in order to stabilize them, and perhaps by doing so figure out a way home.
The game is open to AUs of all kinds — which is good, because as mentioned above, we currently have both Robins hailing from a world where they exist simultaneously as twins. For any other denizens of their realm to join us would be a dream come true, but we would be just as delighted to see OU castmates or even other AUs!
