ENABLEMEPLZ meme goes up on the last Saturday of every month FOR GAME ADS: ➤ Put an ad up with the characters / crew / pairings / fetish you want for your game under the correct game header. This meme is primarily going to be focused on DWRP games but IJ and LJ games are allowed. ➤ PLEASE NOTE A RULE CHANGE HERE. ABSOLUTELY NO obnoxious coding (no font size > size 4 or 3 "big" tags, no oversized banners (they must be 250px in height or less), no blinking text, no obnoxious table html that doesn't collapse easily, no sparklies, no large pictures). Use all the colors you like, but please remember 3 "big" tags is the limit and that's only for headers or title text rather than for all the text in an ad. FOR GAME QUESTIONS: ➤ RPers interested in a game can create a header for the game and ask questions about that game that aren't easy to find on faqs, such as the actual pace vs. what's listed/what kind of plots are run/if the game leans more towards plotty or slice of life/if a game leans more towards network or logs, etc. Both anon questions and anon answers are welcome in this section just like in the rest of the meme. ➤ This thread is not for speaking about wank or drama in a game. There are anoncomms that exist for that. This thread is specifically for general questions about a game that rpers want to get perspective on from players already in the game. Answers can be slightly negative (such as saying app response is slow or that the plots are repetitive or similar things) but this should at least be worded politely. Unnecessary vitriol, any mention of personal drama or wank, or mod teams/individual mods/players being singled out, will be screened and/or deleted. FOR CHARACTER ADS: ➤ Put up an ad about the characters you are offering. For PSL/1-on-1 ads, there is a separate subthread but for character ads for games, post directly to the meme post. Others will comment to you with the games/casts they want you to join. ➤ There is a "Find a Castmate" section, where you can talk about a cast you play in at a game, and try to lure people to join it. Not all games post to the meme or have a "wanted" section, so players that want to tempt people to their cast on their own can use this section for it. Please format this the same as the PSL/1-on-1 section, where you post the canons in your subject. For the actual text of the ad you must use the "Find a Castmate" form provided at the bottom of this post so that these ads don't get huge. When listing who's currently in a cast, please do this in sentence form (with commas) rather than in list form. ➤ ABSOLUTELY NO obnoxious coding, with the same rules as the Game Ads Section above. ➤ If you're recommending a game to someone, try to match your suggestion to their needs. It's okay if part of your game rec is copy-pasted (such as what the game's about), but at least some part of the rec must be personalized to their ad. I'm just hitting up all the Voltrons we don't have but it pings most of your list so what's the harm in suggesting it?

thewake is a jamjar game where characters wake up in the center of the multi-verse. They're given the ability to bend reality to their will (with enough time and practice put into it) and can use this ability essentially however they please. They're supposed to use this ability to keep the worlds on course for the events that are supposed to happen, but things can happen, worlds can become flawed, splinter timelines created, and people can be sent to go clean up the mess in creative ways. There's also the hub, "Nautilus", that people can just hang out in and live as well.

We're due to start our next bit of metaplot soon, and there are regular events called reality storms, which is basically the city itself bending reality however it pleases. It can do things like make everyone pokemon trainers, believe they grew up in a completely different alternate universe, or turn them into MLP style ponies for a week. It's chaotic, but a lot of fun.

It's slow-to-medium paced with back-tag friendly AC -- you can use posts up to 6 months old for activity checks as long as there's activity within the current month. There are limits to this, but it does encourage a lot of backtagging in the playerbase in general.

We currently have Keith and Lance in terms of castmates for Allura. Lance is the more recent arrival, having come in May from the tail end of 5x5. Keith has been there for over a year and is from the end of 2x8 at the moment. I know they'd both love to see Allura again (though Keith might be nervous over it all things considered).

Thank you very much! I know the Wake has been around for a while but I admittedly haven't known much about it. That's very unique in terms of being able to use threads that old, but thoughtful. I will definitely take a look!

Yeah, I've never run into a system quite like it. I won't lie, it has saved my butt during AC a few times when I just couldn't be super active, but it's also nice to have extra incentive to complete those really old threads. Allowing them to count for AC has let me finish threads a lot more often with people there, at least that's what I've found.

It is! The game I'm in right now with different characters is a lot more AC intensive, so it is very appealing to see a different system.

YES HELLO A CAST NEEDING AN ALLURA OVER HERE!

Allow me to rec driftfleet! Game ad here, and cast ad here. It's an incredibly relaxed game, slow and small, mostly sol/shenanigans with the occasional plot. We visit new planets every month and characters can explore there, you're free to create your own adventure than can be funny or sad. Allura is allowed to keep her powers, too, the super op maybe needing a bit of nerfing, but she's mostly fine. The bayard can be regained later! AC is only ten comments and the app is short and easy, we can provide an invite. eta: forgot to say, we backtag forever too!

Hello there!! I actually have a couple friends on plurk who enjoy this game quite a bit. Space exploration is very apt for Voltron. Is the exploration goal-oriented or more of a general "you're here now and enjoy"?

And I can't believe you have Haggar and Ulaz??

It definitely depends on the planet! Mods keep it varied. For example right now we are on one that has a secret under the mist and monster to fight. But the last was a planet dedicated to all kinds of competitions so it was more "go out there and have fun". The planets always have a list of attractions, so it's never *just* mountains. You can see the different places we've visited here, if that helps to get a better idea of the game. We usually have a drifting (travelling) period between systems, too, to let us finish our planet threads and do quiet stuff in the ships if we want.

We do and I can't believe it either! :D Ulaz helps Shiro's stress. Haggar doesn't.

Okay, that's good! I like go out and explore shenanigans but I also really like having something concrete to work towarsd. Just by reading this it looks like they put a lot of thought into these systems too. Also I'm reading that regains are a thing? Is that something that would be applied to the mice, potentially?

HAGGAR IS MY QUEEN. Not Allura's, obviously, but...that's so wonderful. And understandably Shiro wouldn't be having a good day. (But I feel like that's kind of par for the course for him.)

Regains are indeed a thing, and you can use it for the bayard (they can keep the armor when they arrive but no weapons), the mice, or any item from home as long as it covers certain rules (size and power mostly, nothing too restrictive). But I should clarify that "regains" aren't a system in place, but something that happens every now and then if the planet calls for it. So depending on when you app, you can get it back quickly or will have to wait some months. Most people in the fleet have pets, both adopted in systems and from homes, so the mice won't be alone! Shiro has an alien dog, Lance has a fish and an otter, Keith has a leopard and in the future he'll get the s6 thingy.

Oh we're definitely the opposite of rushed. We're a slow game and AC is ten comments in two thread, so backtagging is the rule.

Ahh, I gotcha. I'll have to read up more on the game mechanics, but I'm definitely interested! I'm so glad that they all have pets. Shiro seems like a dog person, but Lace has an otter? That's wonderful. Part of me hopes it's one of those giant amazonian river otters because they are mildly terrifying.

SHE IS GOOD and also continuously the only one who seems to have a full idea of what's going on, but I digress. Ulaz is a good. Allura only trusted him because Shiro did and that did pay off in the end.

We've got some Voltrons over in lifeaftr that would probably super love castmates! It looks like it fits all your prefs: exploration and world-building are huge themes, tag speed definitely varies but there are a ton of backtaggers, and there's generally downtime for building and exploration between big overarching plot events! We're very light on AC; the system is automated, so all you have to do is tag.

We've got a Keith, Shiro, and Lance of varying canonpoints. Our TDMs go up the 14th of every month, and applications open on the 24th!
