June EMP Meme
FOR GAME ADS: ➤ Put an ad up with the characters / crew / pairings / fetish you want for your game under the correct game header. This meme is primarily going to be focused on DWRP games but IJ and LJ games are allowed. ➤ PLEASE NOTE A RULE CHANGE HERE. ABSOLUTELY NO obnoxious coding (no font size > size 4 or 3 "big" tags, no oversized banners (they must be 250px in height or less), no blinking text, no obnoxious table html that doesn't collapse easily, no sparklies, no large pictures). Use all the colors you like, but please remember 3 "big" tags is the limit and that's only for headers or title text rather than for all the text in an ad. FOR GAME QUESTIONS: ➤ RPers interested in a game can create a header for the game and ask questions about that game that aren't easy to find on faqs, such as the actual pace vs. what's listed/what kind of plots are run/if the game leans more towards plotty or slice of life/if a game leans more towards network or logs, etc. Both anon questions and anon answers are welcome in this section just like in the rest of the meme. ➤ This thread is not for speaking about wank or drama in a game. There are anoncomms that exist for that. This thread is specifically for general questions about a game that rpers want to get perspective on from players already in the game. Answers can be slightly negative (such as saying app response is slow or that the plots are repetitive or similar things) but this should at least be worded politely. Unnecessary vitriol, any mention of personal drama or wank, or mod teams/individual mods/players being singled out, will be screened and/or deleted. FOR CHARACTER ADS: ➤ Put up an ad about the characters you are offering. For PSL/1-on-1 ads, there is a separate subthread but for character ads for games, post directly to the meme post. Others will comment to you with the games/casts they want you to join. ➤ There is a "Find a Castmate" section, where you can talk about a cast you play in at a game, and try to lure people to join it. Not all games post to the meme or have a "wanted" section, so players that want to tempt people to their cast on their own can use this section for it. Please format this the same as the PSL/1-on-1 section, where you post the canons in your subject. For the actual text of the ad you must use the "Find a Castmate" form provided at the bottom of this post so that these ads don't get huge. When listing who's currently in a cast, please do this in sentence form (with commas) rather than in list form. ➤ ABSOLUTELY NO obnoxious coding, with the same rules as the Game Ads Section above. ➤ If you're recommending a game to someone, try to match your suggestion to their needs. It's okay if part of your game rec is copy-pasted (such as what the game's about), but at least some part of the rec must be personalized to their ad. Try not to recommend the same game to every single ad, either. Ad spam that isn't individualized in some way will also be screened. IN GENERAL: ➤ Don't be a dick. PREFERENCES
* Looking for a potential long-term PSL partner. Preferably something story-driven above slice-of-life shenanigans, and possibly ship-focused (M/F as she doesn't seem to latch onto women nearly as well), though if the characters don't mesh that way and it's more gen then I'm willing to roll with that.
* I LOVE AUing her into other canons, so whether it's your character's canon or something else entirely I'm willing to work with you for it.
* Considering she's an OC, cross-canon is my bread and butter. I do have a preference for animated PBs in general, but that doesn't mean I'll say no to live action characters you might be interested in playing with.
ABOUT THE CHARACTER
Adela is in/around her late teens, and if we do wind up shipping I would much rather it be with someone at least close to her age (barring weird circumstances like a character being thousands of years old/ageless but still looking like a teenager). While she can be aged up, I would rather not take her beyond "young adult" in this regard.
In her own setting, I typically have her raised in relative isolation (her only family with her being her uncle) as an apprentice blacksmith and swordsman, so while she is smart and getting more and more skilled in her craft and art, social interactions are not her forte and she has a great deal of trouble handling her emotions. I often refer to her as a "tsundere" in this regard, running hot and cold, but I feel I should point out that she typically does NOT resort to violence against anyone under normal circumstances. She is also ridiculously stubborn, is serious to a fault, has a strong moral compass (most times), is insecure with her abilities and sense of self-worth, and will always act when she sees a way for her to do so (while being prone to freezing up if she can't). Naturally, some things (such as backstory, her skillset, and the extent of her socialization for example) would change if I adapted her to a different setting, but that's up for further discussion at a later point.
In her own setting, she is also possesses elemental magic, with control over metallic ores specifically. This was discovered at a young age, and in her own world this is cause for a great deal of discrimination should anyone find out about it as the magic is sourced from a parent with "demon" blood. She has been raised to be afraid of what would happen if she's ever found out to the point of viewing herself in part as a monster for her magic, so she is likely going to be mistrustful and not willing to divulge everything of herself from the get-go, or for a long time for that matter. Again, this is prone to change dependant on the setting I'm adapting her for.
Who I find she works best with are people who can challenge or change her, as Adela tends to be curious to a fault and fairly naive in terms of the world in general. People who would break her out of her shell and expand her world view (and leave themselves open to being changed by her as well) tend to work best with her on a serious shipping level, as well as people who can earn her trust. Whether they choose to break that trust later or to protect it, well that's up for plotting. A betrayal, a ship reaching fruition, a quest leading to completion, it all depends on what we come up with.
