FOR GAME ADS:

➤ Put an ad up with the characters / crew / pairings / fetish you want for your game under the correct game header. This meme is primarily going to be focused on DWRP games but IJ and LJ games are allowed.

➤ PLEASE NOTE A RULE CHANGE HERE. ABSOLUTELY NO obnoxious coding (no font size > size 4 or 3 "big" tags, no oversized banners (they must be 250px in height or less), no blinking text, no obnoxious table html that doesn't collapse easily, no sparklies, no large pictures). Use all the colors you like, but please remember 3 "big" tags is the limit and that's only for headers or title text rather than for all the text in an ad.

FOR GAME QUESTIONS:

➤ RPers interested in a game can create a header for the game and ask questions about that game that aren't easy to find on faqs, such as the actual pace vs. what's listed/what kind of plots are run/if the game leans more towards plotty or slice of life/if a game leans more towards network or logs, etc. Both anon questions and anon answers are welcome in this section just like in the rest of the meme.

➤ This thread is not for speaking about wank or drama in a game. There are anoncomms that exist for that. This thread is specifically for general questions about a game that rpers want to get perspective on from players already in the game. Answers can be slightly negative (such as saying app response is slow or that the plots are repetitive or similar things) but this should at least be worded politely. Unnecessary vitriol, any mention of personal drama or wank, or mod teams/individual mods/players being singled out, will be screened and/or deleted.

FOR CHARACTER ADS:

➤ Put up an ad about the characters you are offering. For PSL/1-on-1 ads, there is a separate subthread but for character ads for games, post directly to the meme post. Others will comment to you with the games/casts they want you to join.

➤ There is a "Find a Castmate" section, where you can talk about a cast you play in at a game, and try to lure people to join it. Not all games post to the meme or have a "wanted" section, so players that want to tempt people to their cast on their own can use this section for it. Please format this the same as the PSL/1-on-1 section, where you post the canons in your subject. For the actual text of the ad you must use the "Find a Castmate" form provided at the bottom of this post so that these ads don't get huge. When listing who's currently in a cast, please do this in sentence form (with commas) rather than in list form.

➤ ABSOLUTELY NO obnoxious coding, with the same rules as the Game Ads Section above.

➤ If you're recommending a game to someone, try to match your suggestion to their needs. It's okay if part of your game rec is copy-pasted (such as what the game's about), but at least some part of the rec must be personalized to their ad. Try not to recommend the same game to every single ad, either. Ad spam that isn't individualized in some way will also be screened.

IN GENERAL:

➤ Don't be a dick. This isn't one of the anoncomms, so any snide comments or unnecessary commentary on the RP plans of others will be screened.

hey! i don't know if you've ever played mystery room, but i was wondering if you'd be interested in playing kat against alfendi here. i'm in the middle of canon review atm; i realize this is a long shot, if only because head-canoning their sibling relationship might be awkward, especially/definitely if you're not familiar, but i figured it was worth a shot asking... (i don't know if the mystery journey anime touches on either of their relationships with layton at all, but??)

i would also love to voice test emiliana. i have an account at

perfectti but the only reason i didn't mention her first is because 1) she has 0 icons rn and 2) i need to canon review her as well (my plan was to do that after i finished mystery room)... it could take some time.

I HAVE PLAYED IT, YES, kat's game only barely touched on it at the end of the game, so i've always assumed they have a normal sibling relationship... just with the added touch of being a layton and all of. that nonsense. the anime only really touched on kat being close to hershel with a few flashbacks, but nothing major yet!

kat's been a favorite of mine for a while and i've been dying to play her for months, so i'll wait as long as you need to canon review for emiliana! I HAVE SUCH A WEAKNESS FOR HERS AND KAT'S DYNAMIC it's so good

ahhhh awesome! they're both really great games, but i know mystery journey's style was a little more similar to vanilla layton, whereas mystery room was more its own thing, so i figured more people had played that one and didn't want to assume. :D i think she and alfendi have a lot of potential for cute interactions though!

i'd be all for them partnering up and solving crimes together, though my only concern would be that i don't think i'd have the stuff to write out a case for them to solve, haha. most of alfendi's cases though involve him using the simulation machine rather than traveling, so it might be fun for kat to take him on an actual investigation? orrr, like, even if there isn't a case involved, just to have him be dragged out in the "bro you need to get out more" kind of way (i guess she'd fill lucy's role in that regard). i'm sure we could narrow something down.

i'll definitely let you know, re: emiliana!! their dynamic is too good.

honestly kat has some really weird cases, so we could do literally anything and it would make sense bc i guess layton is a really bizarre world

yeah kat would absolutely drag alfendi out of his office, especially since her game hinted at lucy and kat being friends? so lucy tells her alfendi hasn't left his office in like a week and kat comes to quite literally drag him

PLEASE DO their meeting in the anime was golden and emiliana's reluctance to be friends is so great

oh my gosh, i never noticed any nods or hints to mystery room on my first playthrough of kat’s game, but those two getting along makes so much sense. they are both adorable.

kat could definitely drag him out of the office for funsies, but maybe they wind up involved in a case by chance? it doesn’t even have to be a super serious one. like, a missing kid/pet would lend itself well to them being adventurous, and it’d be pretty simple to orchestrate... but it doesn’t have to be exactly that, if you had a better idea. whatever works.
