January EMP Meme
FOR GAME ADS: ➤ Put an ad up with the characters / crew / pairings / fetish you want for your game under the correct game header. This meme is primarily going to be focused on DWRP games but IJ and LJ games are allowed. ➤ PLEASE NOTE A RULE CHANGE HERE. ABSOLUTELY NO obnoxious coding (no font size > size 4 or 3 "big" tags, no oversized banners (they must be 250px in height or less), no blinking text, no obnoxious table html that doesn't collapse easily, no sparklies, no large pictures). Use all the colors you like, but please remember 3 "big" tags is the limit and that's only for headers or title text rather than for all the text in an ad. FOR GAME QUESTIONS: ➤ RPers interested in a game can create a header for the game and ask questions about that game that aren't easy to find on faqs, such as the actual pace vs. what's listed/what kind of plots are run/if the game leans more towards plotty or slice of life/if a game leans more towards network or logs, etc. Both anon questions and anon answers are welcome in this section just like in the rest of the meme. ➤ This thread is not for speaking about wank or drama in a game. There are anoncomms that exist for that. This thread is specifically for general questions about a game that rpers want to get perspective on from players already in the game. Not all games post to the meme or have a "wanted" section, so players that want to tempt people to their cast on their own can use this section for it. [game info]: Survival-based, exploration-based island adventure! It's a fairly low-tech setting but characters are encouraged to upgrade and expand - the setting is actually very fluid in that regard, as player interaction has a huge effect on the setting and NPCs. Our AC is a completely automated system - all you have to do is tag - with non-compulsory AC available for IC rewards! Our current app round closes at 11:59pm EST on January 31st, so there's still time to get an app in if you like!

Fairy Tail @ Genessia

[wanted]: anyone from the Fairy Tail guild itself would be wonderful! Natsu, Lucy, Happy, Gray, Wendy, Carla, Gajeel, Juvia, Elfman, Lisanna, Makarov... I could go on and on, but you get the point. (though, given the castmates, special shout-outs go out to Natsu, Elfman, and Lisanna)
For people outside of the Fairy Tail guild, we'd love to see anyone from Crime Sorciere, Kagura, Millianna, or any of the Spriggan Twelve (especially August, Eileen, or Brandish).
Given the people who are already in the game, any of the founding members of Fairy Tail (Hades/Precht, Warrod, Yuri Dreyar, or Zeira) could be interesting. Tartaros still has a base in this setting from when its members were there previously, so someone from there could be fun! (For the players, at least)
[game info]: Genessia is a fairly easy-going slice of life game. It's a jamjar, with the option for investigating the city and its mysteries (who sent them there, why, etc.) The city itself is divided into several zones, loosely corresponding to genres and settings of the canons (modern, sci-fi, fantasy, etc.). The game encourages player-run plots, and there are in-game elections for Guardians, people who are in charge of keeping each zone safe. More information can be found here.
The fact that a branch of the Fairy Tail and Tartaros guilds are in Genessia (built by characters who were there previously) and one of the jobs is bounty hunting (which involves a lot of odd jobs, so basically what they already do in canon) makes it really easy to adapt. At the moment, all of the Fairy Tail cast is living at the Fairy Tail guild hall, and they've managed to recruit a few new members from other worlds!
From a player's standpoint, the game is really easy to get into. Just post on the Taken list and you're good - no application necessary! As long as you post somewhat regularly, respond to the check-in every couple of months, and stay in-character for who you're playing as, you're good to go!
One Piece @ Genessia

[wanted]: pretty much anybody – pirates, Marines, revolutionaries; you name it. Special shout-out to any of the Straw Hat Pirates, and someone like Doflamingo or Crocodile would be fun, seeing as the pirates in Genessia right now are a bunch of goody-two-shoes (relatively speaking)
[game info]: Genessia’s an easy-going, slow-paced slice of life game. The game encourages player-run plots, though there’s an ongoing one where characters can look into the mysteries of where they’ve been sent. Each city is divided into zones that roughly correspond with different types of genres, such as sci-fi or fantasy, meaning that just about any character can feel at home there.
Applications and activity check are about as easy as you can get – for applications, you just post your character’s name on the taken list, and as long as you stay in-character and you post on the activity check every couple of months to say that you’re still interested, you’re good to go!
PERSONA 3 @ DAYBREAK ACADEMY

[wanted]: SEES members, especially Aigis, Shinjiro and Akihiko. I would personally love a Ryoji (and have some ideas of how he would work in-game), but I don't know if very many people play him.
[game info]: Daybreak Academy is a AU magical school game centered around saving the world from an upcoming cataclysmic event. Students and teachers are both playable, and the game incorporates mission logs, monthly events and player-run plots really well. AC is also very lenient, with a 10 comment requirement for all players, and an additional log from faculty members—running a class, running a mission, things like that! The player base is extremely active, so there's always something going on.
The game just started in January, so we're going to have our first event log going up in February. Details haven't fully dropped yet, but it appears to be a monster ball of some kind!

KHR @ THE FAR SHORE

[wanted]: Mukuro, Chrome, and M.M. would all be adored, but literally anyone from this canon would be great to see.
[game info]: TFS is a pretty rad game with a relaxed AC and, despite being a huge game, it's got a small game chill to it imo. You can enter as either a god, which gives your character a new power and sweet digs, or you can enter as a shinki, which gives your character memloss and the ability to transform into different items or animals! Which is kind of a raw deal and everyone knows it. (But it can be pretty fun to play out. You can also regain memories though the bonus AC system.) There's an overarching metaplot happening, with Heaven gearing up to go after the primary antagonist, but stuff is more complicated than one thinks.
The mods are very welcoming for players to try all sorts of stuff, and the game is equally full of drama, SOL, and anything else you can think of.
Chikusa and Ken are both shinki who've managed to remember only one another, and have replaced their loyalty to Mukuro with their loyalty to someone else entirely (Hakkai from Saiyuki). It would be fun for other characters to deal with the two of them, since they've both changed considerably from how they are in canon. (Ken is becoming more flexible with his ideas of loyalty, Chikusa is writing a romance novel. Also Chikusa has died once already and Ken is totally dealing okay with that.)
Of course, any of the other K-gang would add in so much drama that it would be pretty damn exciting.

AC is also very simple, with ten comments (or an open post + seven comments) that can be spread across multiple links.
Steven (canon point: post-Kevin Party, but soon to be updated to more recent canon) has been in-game for over two years, while Rose Quartz (canon point: Greg the Babysitter) has been around for half a year now, and Pearl has recently returned to the game. Most recently, Steven has learned the truth of Rose’s past from Rose herself and has been dealing with that.

Player Plots/Overarching Meta plot with slice of life
The Wake is where characters 'wake up' in a nexus sorry Doctors no time sight here and need to learn how to survive/coop with this new way of life. The main point of this game is character growth. Characters are encouraged to learn and grow beyond canon in however which why they might based on the in-game influencing factors.
Powers are able to regain abilities but not game breaking powers; example time sight. However, characters are also allowed to learn abilities they never had in canon. For instance; shapeshifting. When characters Ascend; aka the character growth, those characters are able to learn higher abilities, like being able to Fly or Teleport. As well as being able to travel to other worlds and fixing flaws (A Player Plot)
The story of the game itself is that there was a war with god like beings, one of those god-like beings in secret became the game setting (Nautilus) and therefore Nautilus is an actual living being that is conscious but don't worry most of the time Nautilus are like the majority of the Time Lords and doesn't interfere.
Activity check is relatively relaxed, and put simply it is two pieces of the following;

[game info]: Duplicity is a sex game with bi-monthly apps. It's a large game, but it's not insanely fast. Characters are divided into dominant and submissive, which grants them different privileges and rights. Doms and subs are meant to form a contract that can range from platonic, sexual, romantic, or just out of bare necessity. Powers are retained but during some events, characters will be depowered.
Currently, we have other a few awakening characters and fates characters, too! I'm sure we'd love more fire emblem characters in general. If you're not up for a game, I'd love to try a psl or memes with other Tellius characters (just shoot me a PM). Our cast has a small discord, and some would be better at answering questions than me since our Tellius cast is relatively new.

[game info]: A sex game with dark elements that emphasizes lies and negative characteristics taking over. The gist of it is that everyone is assigned the roles of a Dominant (lives well) or a Submissive (does not live so well, restricted from many things without a Dominant) and they are required to eventually sign short-term contracts binding them to one of the other side.

[game info]: The Far Shore is a panfandom jamjar game based on the world of Noragami where your character can either be a god or a shinki (the weapon of a god). Memory loss and power nerfing are both optional, and the game explores the silly, slice of life aspects of the series as well as the darker, more serious ones.

[game info]: Empatheias is a game where emotions influence the environment and shape the world around you. There's an overarching plot, where players decide an outcome of events and do some world building. Inbetween plots, things are more SOL and room to do player plots. Pacing-wise, from my experience it sits around mid-pace, with it picking up during events. You have two options to complete AC, 1 Entry and 7 comments from elsewhere, or 10 comments added up from two threads minimum. You only need to meet half AC the first month you app in!
