April EMP Meme
FOR GAME ADS: ➤ Put an ad up with the characters / crew / pairings / fetish you want for your game under the correct game header. This meme is primarily going to be focused on DWRP games but IJ and LJ games are allowed. ➤ PLEASE NOTE A RULE CHANGE HERE. ABSOLUTELY NO obnoxious coding (no font size > size 4 or 3 "big" tags, no oversized banners (they must be 250px in height or less), no blinking text, no obnoxious table html that doesn't collapse easily, no sparklies, no large pictures). Use all the colors you like, but please remember 3 "big" tags is the limit and that's only for headers or title text rather than for all the text in an ad. FOR GAME QUESTIONS: ➤ RPers interested in a game can create a header for the game and ask questions about that game that aren't easy to find on faqs, such as the actual pace vs. what's listed/what kind of plots are run/if the game leans more towards plotty or slice of life/if a game leans more towards network or logs, etc. Both anon questions and anon answers are welcome in this section just like in the rest of the meme. ➤ This thread is not for speaking about wank or drama in a game. There are anoncomms that exist for that. This thread is specifically for general questions about a game that rpers want to get perspective on from players already in the game. Answers can be slightly negative (such as saying app response is slow or that the plots are repetitive or similar things) but this should at least be worded politely. Unnecessary vitriol, any mention of personal drama or wank, or mod teams/individual mods/players being singled out, will be screened and/or deleted. FOR CHARACTER ADS: ➤ Put up an ad about the characters you are offering. For PSL/1-on-1 ads, there is a separate subthread but for character ads for games, post directly to the meme post. Others will comment to you with the games/casts they want you to join. ➤ There is a "Find a Castmate" section, where you can talk about a cast you play in at a game, and try to lure people to join it. Not all games post to the meme or have a "wanted" section, so players that want to tempt people to their cast on their own can use this section for it. Please format this the same as the PSL/1-on-1 section, where you post the canons in your subject. For the actual text of the ad you must use the "Find a Castmate" form provided at the bottom of this post so that these ads don't get huge. When listing who's currently in a cast, please do this in sentence form (with commas) rather than in list form. ➤ ABSOLUTELY NO obnoxious coding, with the same rules as the Game Ads Section above. ➤ If you're recommending a game to someone, try to match your suggestion to their needs. It's okay if part of your game rec is copy-pasted (such as what the game's about), but at least some part of the rec must be personalized to their ad. Try not to recommend the same game to every single ad, either. Ad spam that isn't individualized in some way will also be screened. IN GENERAL: ➤ Don't be a dick. • memes, psls, museboxes are all a-ok
• for VERGIL, since he's been the louder one as of late, i'm sort of interested in having him go against a V because spoilers and all. but i will never, not once, turn down some father-son opportunities with Nero either, especially post DMC5 and coming to attempt to repair a rocky to pretty much non-existent relationship between them. longshot in the dark is having him go against a Sparda or Eva as well because dad, mom, are you proud or disappointed in your eldest son? i don't think i need to mention that Dante is always free to bother him?? that's just a given.
• for NERO it's the flipside with never one to turn down any interactions with a Vergil for strained father-son moments. uncle Dante is also something i haven't been able to write much with him. Kyrie for the love of his life, Nico and V for buddies and just shenanigans all around.
• crosscanon is also ok if it seems like they'd work together but you'd probably have a better chance with Nero there since Vergil is a fussy sonuvabitch.
• maybe strange but i'm not against going against Vergil or Dante from DmC?? i don't know, i think it could be interesting to explore, especially with vergil coming from the end of DMC5 or nero looking to this alternate version of his father all ?????
• hurt/comfort, angst, gen, action, kinda fluff (good luck with vergil) are things i like with soulmate au's as forever my jam especially if there's resistance involved at the beginning with a slowburn of coming around to it all.
• i don't mind doing darker things, especially when it comes to vergil and the hell he went through with mundus. nightmares, recalling memories, relapses into old habits, all good stuff to explore and write.
• timezone is est and i pretty much tag back daily, can boomerang as well at times but don't feel obligated to do the same.

• Sad, happy au could possibly be Vergil and Dante raising a smol Nero together at Devil May Cry which is totally baby/kid proof
• Injury could result in either Vergil being the one to get injured (maybe becomes distracted in ensuring Dante or Nero are fine) as a result of his accepting his humanity now... which would just irritate him and a certain blue demon chilling alongside V on the inside. Or Vergil could attempt to be the one to bandage up whoever gets injured. Or the injury could be something as small and stupid as oh look, finger got cut trying to chop up these vegetables because clearly Vergil was a master chef in the underworld and is so skilled at this. no he's not.
• Falling asleep also works especially if it's Vergil passed out with reading glasses on and a book in his lap/covering his face because look, he can be normal now that he's accepted his humanity as well.
• There's also always the talk for the brothers to have regarding the whole hey... I guess I'm kinda sorry for putting you through hell all these years... we cool? This could take place in hell, at Devil May Cry, or even at their old home they just somehow end up at for whatever reason. A trip down memory lane.

I'm down for all of them. Maybe like the sad, happy AU with Dante and Vergil being incredibly ill-suited at caring for a child and also Vergil getting injured over something stupid over dinner while at the same time Nero can't stop bringing up how Vergil literally jumped in front of a demon last week to take a blow for him but wow?? can't even cut some damn carrots, can you, pops? I have the stupidest grin on my face picturing Vergil denying that he needs reading glasses but Nero gets him some cool blue ones and he just "has" to accept them, I suppose. Since they were a gift. Meanwhile Dante over here blessed with perfect vision just yoking it up once he finally has proof.
And of course the talk would be so good. Yes! To everything? Whichever works first imo.

a) it's exactly what it says on the tin in it being an AU version of their lives where Vergil didn't fall his way into the underworld and instead raises baby/smol Nero at Devil May Cry since where else is he going to go and Nero being raised by these two idiots is sure to set him on an interesting path. These two alone trying to do a birthday party for a kid is sure to be a disaster in all honesty.
b) sort of borrowing from that meme but it could be more like ~a dream~ or ~illusion~ if you'd like. For example, say this takes place when they're in Hell and some monster/demon is capable of creating illusions. They're essentially trapped in some pod/growth/whatever, living this sad, happy AU dream of raising baby/smol Nero together but there's always this feeling that this isn't right?? Maybe Vergil makes peace with it more because he's tired and gets that second chance with his kid but Dante is like no, this isn't right?? or vice versa or they both figure something is up because why is Nero a smol boy?? C'mon boys, fight your way outta this before you get eaten or whatever. This could also lead into the talk at some point? Or that can be separate entirely for something else.
I also need Vergil to at some point get a smartphone and attempt to text because Vergil and technology is sure to be a thing, especially if he's handed a kindle because how dare you, this is not a physical book with smells and all?
So I guess the question is... what do we like and where do we start...

Also god, can you imagine if Nero got Vergil a kindle for his birthday? He'd think he was doing this nice thing and Vergil's just like trying to hide his disgust.
