May EMP Meme
FOR GAME ADS: ➤ Put an ad up with the characters / crew / pairings / fetish you want for your game under the correct game header. This meme is primarily going to be focused on DWRP games but IJ and LJ games are allowed. ➤ PLEASE NOTE A RULE CHANGE HERE. ABSOLUTELY NO obnoxious coding (no font size > size 4 or 3 "big" tags, no oversized banners (they must be 250px in height or less), no blinking text, no obnoxious table html that doesn't collapse easily, no sparklies, no large pictures). Use all the colors you like, but please remember 3 "big" tags is the limit and that's only for headers or title text rather than for all the text in an ad. FOR GAME QUESTIONS: ➤ RPers interested in a game can create a header for the game and ask questions about that game that aren't easy to find on faqs, such as the actual pace vs. what's listed/what kind of plots are run/if the game leans more towards plotty or slice of life/if a game leans more towards network or logs, etc. Both anon questions and anon answers are welcome in this section just like in the rest of the meme. ➤ This thread is not for speaking about wank or drama in a game. There are anoncomms that exist for that. This thread is specifically for general questions about a game that rpers want to get perspective on from players already in the game. Answers can be slightly negative (such as saying app response is slow or that the plots are repetitive or similar things) but this should at least be worded politely. Unnecessary vitriol, any mention of personal drama or wank, or mod teams/individual mods/players being singled out, will be screened and/or deleted. FOR CHARACTER ADS: ➤ Put up an ad about the characters you are offering. For PSL/1-on-1 ads, there is a separate subthread but for character ads for games, post directly to the meme post. Others will comment to you with the games/casts they want you to join. ➤ There is a "Find a Castmate" section, where you can talk about a cast you play in at a game, and try to lure people to join it. Not all games post to the meme or have a "wanted" section, so players that want to tempt people to their cast on their own can use this section for it. Please format this the same as the PSL/1-on-1 section, where you post the canons in your subject. For the actual text of the ad you must use the "Find a Castmate" form provided at the bottom of this post so that these ads don't get huge. When listing who's currently in a cast, please do this in sentence form (with commas) rather than in list form. ➤ ABSOLUTELY NO obnoxious coding, with the same rules as the Game Ads Section above. ➤ If you're recommending a game to someone, try to match your suggestion to their needs. It's okay if part of your game rec is copy-pasted (such as what the game's about), but at least some part of the rec must be personalized to their ad. Try not to recommend the same game to every single ad, either. Ad spam that isn't individualized in some way will also be screened. IN GENERAL: ➤ Don't be a dick. This isn't one of the anoncomms, so any snide comments or unnecessary commentary on the RP plans of others will be screened. MOD CONTACT: If there's trouble, tell me HERE, please! THE WASTEYARD.
You're in a hallway: A long, lightless thing of drab walls and no windows, stretching farther than the eye can see. It smells clean and old, like an empty coffin freshly opened. But something about it strikes you as alive, like the walls inhale and the floor sighs beneath your feet, beckoning you forward and whispering, Hurry.
There's nothing but crushing darkness at your back and it weighs on you, heavy like the ocean a mile down. It isn't hungry, but it looms uncaring and absolute. If you look too long, it could swallow you whole.
Instinct tells you as much, pushing you through the hallway, a sure shot through the darkness to somewhere maybe a little lighter. By the end, you're tripping over your feet and your head is filled with the whispers of a nameless monstrosity that welcomes you home.
Welcome to ̵̱̾t̶̡̛ĥ̶͍ȇ̴͜ ̷̮͋w̴͉̉a̷̰̎s̸̨̆t̶̠͐e̴̯̎y̸͗ͅa̶͚͛r̷͈̐d̷͈̃ . Here, you are wanted.

PENANCE
You remember a dream.
Or maybe nightmare is more accurate.
It was full of hellfire nipping at your skin and a sensation of being pulled down no matter how much you struggle or cry for help. There's a voice that feels like it's coming from all around you at once. Contrasting with the nightmare unfolding around you, it's smooth as silk. It makes you want to listen with every bit of attention you can muster in the moment.
"Judgement has come upon you, but not to worry. It can still be undone."
The voice promises you redemption for your sins. It promises you a better life and everything you could ever want, if only you just stop struggling so much.
And so you do. You hit a mercifully soft surface soon after.
When you open your eyes, two things become apparent. One, your body feels heavy, like you've been asleep for a week. Two, you're in what looks like a hotel room somewhere. It certainly isn't anywhere you remember being before.
A look around the room done up in red, you realize you're on a bed and there's a window to your left, a tiny TV in the corner. The walls are are bare besides a couple hellish paintings. Beside you on the nighttable is a piece of parchment with a list of sins scrawled in blood. Specifically your sins. You become almost instantaneously aware that your palm stings and realize there's a deep cut there. The blood on the paper is yours.
There's also a device that looks like an old Blackberry phone and a few of your belongings in the room. Looking out the window shows a hellscape full of jagged terrain and unfriendly hellfire, broken down old buildings. It's a nightmare. Stepping out, you'll see dimly lit halls. You may run into demonic staff wandering the halls, manning the front desk. Inevitably, you'll run into fellow sinners like yourself.
The one thing you won't be able to find is an exit out of this nightmare.
Welcome to Penance.

DAIQUA - an MMO-based Jamjar - Beta Month opening June 1st
Perhaps you just went to sleep- or perhaps you only just closed your eyes. Perhaps you were daydreaming, or your attention otherwise lapsed; either way, there's a jolt in the back of your mind, your world briefly morphing in to s̶t̷a̵t̷i̶c̵. When it clears, you're in a strange, misty landscape - your only clue a subtle glow in your vision.
Focus on it, and start your journey through Daiqua. What is Daiqua, you ask? Why, it's nothing less than the world's most state-of-the-art MMO, where users enter a virtual reality and truly experience what it is to swing a sword or cast a spell. Unfortunately for you, while entering was relatively easy - if unintended - you're without any means of logging out, and find yourself trapped in this fantasy world.
While Daiqua prides itself on its realism, for you, this takes a whole new meaning; it may well be a real world, albeit with a few...quirks. Certainly, you can respawn after falling in battle, and can open up a UI on the fly - to say nothing of how items can mysteriously appear and reappear as you sort your inventory. And so, while the world seems relatively low-stakes, there could be worse places to be trapped within.
Nonetheless, for you and those trapped like you, the stakes are magnified. Should you speak with the native players - that is, those who are able to log in and off at will - you'll find that they laugh at the idea of being 'trapped' within the game. And what may be vaguely troublesome bugs for those players become true life-and-death for you - for how can respawn occur if your very existence has been corrupted?
With little recourse, one may find that the game itself is their only option to any sort of resolution. Or even, if nothing else, a pleasant diversion from what their previous world may have offered. After all, games are designed to be fun, and Daiqua is no different. It is a distraction, an escape, a chance to feel in control of your world and your life as evidenced by its very tagline:
Daiqua: Decide your Destiny.
Daiqua is a panfandom, MMO-based jamjar where characters find themselves trapped within the virtual reality of a false fantasy. With the native players convinced they're simply really in to the whole immersive roleplay thing, they find themselves with few options but to play the game, one way or another. Our TDM is currently open, and we plan to run a beta month in June with no apps required. (With permission from Vallaress's mods for the concept.)

There's no tugging sensation, so sense of falling or of being uninterruptedly drawn from your own world, or wherever you've found yourself, to yet another. Your sense of smell returns first, as the antiseptic scent of hospital fills your nostrils and a bright light somewhere above you begins to pierce the gloom as a reassuring male voice repeats your name.
A medicinal haze fills your mind, clouding your thoughts as you blink your eyes open. The man, blond with a gentle smile and kind eyes behind thick glasses, across the simple wooden desk from you seems familiar, but you're sure you've never seen the man before...right? He tells you that it's alright, that you had another episode and required sedation, that the drugs are wearing off now and any residual haze you're experiencing should clear as the day progresses.
After a discussion, limbs still refusing to cooperate, you're taken through winding corridors and up a rickety elevator to a floor with rows of numbers doors on either side. One is opened and inside you're deposited unceremoniously on the small cot within. An undetermined amount of time passes as sounds occur around you, the shuffling of feet, muffled voices, a bird at the small barred window letting in overcast daylight.
...welcome to your new home...

Redshift ▼ A CRAU-focused survival horror exploration game. ▼ Reserves Open. ▼ Apps on June 1.
No one knows the how or why of who ends up in the colony of Anchor. No one knows to which universe the planet it's stationed on originally belonged. It is just as out of place as you. Stuck in the same universal lost and found as everything else that disappears from one universe or another without a trace. All anyone really knows is that while the space around the planet, and the people on it, may blip in and out of existence, the planet itself remains the same. Tethered to the unknown. Is Anchor the center of the multiverse, or is it the cosmic junk heap? When it sucks people, places, and things in, can it spit them back out, or do they simply cease to exist on the other side?
Was your signal lost, or was your connection purposefully intercepted?
Part colony, part research facility, Anchor was built by those who came before you. The disappeared. Maybe they found their way home - or maybe they didn’t.
Maybe you'll survive long enough to find out.
REDSHIFT is a pan-fandom CRAU-focused survival game with elements of horror, set on an unnamed planet that exists in the dead space between universes. Player-driven and exploration focused, the colony of Anchor's facilities and story can be unlocked piece by piece through character actions.
Given the focus on CRAU, it's possible to find multiple versions of a single character in-game. Creatures, places, and things from other universes may also make appearances, temporary or permanent, by plot or player suggestion. The way things go is largely up to you.
