ENABLEMEPLZ meme goes up on the last Saturday of every month FOR GAME ADS: ➤ Put an ad up with the characters / crew / pairings / fetish you want for your game under the correct game header. This meme is primarily going to be focused on DWRP games but IJ and LJ games are allowed. ➤ PLEASE NOTE A RULE CHANGE HERE. ABSOLUTELY NO obnoxious coding (no font size > size 4 or 3 "big" tags, no oversized banners (they must be 250px in height or less), no blinking text, no obnoxious table html that doesn't collapse easily, no sparklies, no large pictures). Use all the colors you like, but please remember 3 "big" tags is the limit and that's only for headers or title text rather than for all the text in an ad. FOR GAME QUESTIONS: ➤ RPers interested in a game can create a header for the game and ask questions about that game that aren't easy to find on faqs, such as the actual pace vs. what's listed/what kind of plots are run/if the game leans more towards plotty or slice of life/if a game leans more towards network or logs, etc. Both anon questions and anon answers are welcome in this section just like in the rest of the meme. ➤ This thread is not for speaking about wank or drama in a game. There are anoncomms that exist for that. This thread is specifically for general questions about a game that rpers want to get perspective on from players already in the game. Answers can be slightly negative (such as saying app response is slow or that the plots are repetitive or similar things) but this should at least be worded politely. Unnecessary vitriol, any mention of personal drama or wank, or mod teams/individual mods/players being singled out, will be screened and/or deleted. FOR CHARACTER ADS: ➤ Put up an ad about the characters you are offering. For PSL/1-on-1 ads, there is a separate subthread but for character ads for games, post directly to the meme post. Others will comment to you with the games/casts they want you to join. ➤ There is a "Find a Castmate" section, where you can talk about a cast you play in at a game, and try to lure people to join it. Not all games post to the meme or have a "wanted" section, so players that want to tempt people to their cast on their own can use this section for it. Please format this the same as the PSL/1-on-1 section, where you post the canons in your subject. For the actual text of the ad you must use the "Find a Castmate" form provided at the bottom of this post so that these ads don't get huge. When listing who's currently in a cast, please do this in sentence form (with commas) rather than in list form. ➤ ABSOLUTELY NO obnoxious coding, with the same rules as the Game Ads Section above. ➤ If you're recommending a game to someone, try to match your suggestion to their needs. It's okay if part of your game rec is copy-pasted (such as what the game's about), but at least some part of the rec must be personalized to their ad. can't offer any castmates but asgard (asgardmods) fits basically all of your preferences!

it's adventure/exploration with plenty of action (currently everyone is fighting a dragon), with enough downtime for slice-of-life shenanigans in between events. it's low-fantasy i guess you could say, it's a no-technology version of what otherwise seems like a fairly modern-ish city, but with magical elements to it. there are at least a few older characters by my count, though not a majority necessarily.

mostly dropping this recc here because i'd love to see more vidya/horror game character - it's totally cool if it's not up your alley.

Honestly, I'm never concerned much about castmates! I definitely adore all of them, but I would stick to Discord primarily if I didn't want delicious cross-canon!

I actually had no idea that's what the game was about. The first time the game was around, I was pretty firmly in a game and I tend to make sure I don't over-extend myself (rather double-down on tagging out in current games that accidentally stretch thin!). I definitely don't mind fantasy/magic and older characters aren't fully necessary (I was in Holly Heights with one of maybe three older characters and had a blast for years!), I just worry about long-term/personalized CR. I actually swoon over mentor CR and rarely get to do it :')

Thank you for the rec! I've not looked into it, but I will now. Is there a regular TDM? It's definitely not integral -- and I also love learning about new characters/canons I don't know via RP. It's definitely not something I "need".

yeah!! the premise is basically like "you're suddenly in the world of asgard where the norse gods are trying to revitalize the big tree of life. they have no idea how you got there. also, go pick some d&d spells 'cause y'all have magic now", if that's at all of interest to you.

the latest tdm is still kosher to use - it's over here, and i'll be sure to pimp your top-level on the discord if you toss one up. c: the new tdm won't be up 'til the 15th of july, but the end of july is the next app round (they skipped this month's round to make sure they're ready for a new character wave modwork-wise before inviting one) so that tdm will also give you plenty of time if you choose to wait for it.

Tbh I'm interested in basically all premises; I really only go with against fantasy because I get stressed thinking about like, modern plumbing and so on and I generally play from modern canons! I have some burn-out on them + sci-fi, but I realize they also haven't been a thing for a while. I definitely love writing fights and traps and so forth. I'm a bit rusty so I'm definitely excited to get back on it again!

It might actually be July's that I'll get on -- regardless, only if someone is into it/my writing ofc -- since I'm one of those chronically ill folk (I tend to be forthright about this since it can affect my tagging schedule, but not to an extent I'm unavailable just a "what timezone is she even in?" sort!). it's worth noting that a lot of our playerbase are also on inconsistent schedules and can only tag-bomb once a week some months. this may be a larger game but thread-tagging speed is very relaxed for the most part. so don't worry about your own speed. c:

Hey, there! Lookin' awfully John Wick in that icon but I digress! I'll definitely give it a look. It's been a while since I've been in a horror game, I just tend to worry that they're involved in a way I might not keep up with and I really don't want to hold others up if I become ill. I'm pretty forthright these days about having a chronic illness just so people don't think I've dropped out of dislike or anything like that!

It's definitely my sort of jam, though, so I might stalk a little before/if doing anything. I'd rather limit myself than hold back others from having their own fun or progressing things (or worse, only getting permissions and handwaved interactions to progress).

Jill might fit in well with the game I've been setting up: Summer's End? There will be a decent amount of focus on adventure, exploration, and action, with chances for slice of life/"make your own fun" with the locations. Smut is allowed but we're not a sex game.

The setting is on an island that's pretty large and openish, with a lot of areas and ecosystems to explore. While there are some high-tech areas, the island itself is pretty diverse with lots of animals/monsters to encounter.

We haven't opened yet, but it looks like we'll be starting out as a small/slow paced game, so I can't really say how many older characters we'll be getting. I know I'll be bringing my OC here who is a synthetic soldier-lady thing and I know a few others who will be apping mature characters as well.

Hello! Jill definitely isn't a character where smut tends to be a goal (it's very, very long-term with her; she's not easy to woo or take interest). I actually really like how misleading the profile is! It looks all sun and fun then you look at the other pages and graphics and it's my kinda jam!

I definitely don't mind slower/smaller games as long as they aren't everyone's "my inbox is empty" game. Your OC looks really neat and like someone I'd instantly tag with her, actually!

The apps are definitely different and I actually would enjoy the challenge of writing something new! Thank you so much for taking the time to recommend this to me!

Man, I hear you. Rey here is a very slow-burn type of character, so while it would be interesting because she has a lot of emotional hangups about relationships, I feel like she would be almost unplayable in smut games -- at least ones that are "fuck or die" types. But I feel like she would get along with Jill really well, she has with one in the past.

And I'm glad! The misleading aspect is kinda what drew me to the concept, and I hope it brings in others as well, since I like the idea of there being a little something for everyone. Wanna do slice of life? There's places for that. Romance? Sure, go ahead. Sci-fi? Wow what are all these robots and AI doing here. Spooky stuff? Dang, that forest looks pretty dark and haunted. The idea is to encourage people to make their own fun while still riding on an overall plot because there's definitely gonna be some stuff going on in the background that I'd love to get into.
