FOR GAME ADS:

➤ Put an ad up with the characters / crew / pairings / fetish you want for your game under the correct game header. This meme is primarily going to be focused on DWRP games but IJ and LJ games are allowed.

➤ PLEASE NOTE A RULE CHANGE HERE. ABSOLUTELY NO obnoxious coding (no font size > size 4 or 3 "big" tags, no oversized banners (they must be 250px in height or less), no blinking text, no obnoxious table html that doesn't collapse easily, no sparklies, no large pictures). Use all the colors you like, but please remember 3 "big" tags is the limit and that's only for headers or title text rather than for all the text in an ad.

FOR GAME QUESTIONS:

➤ RPers interested in a game can create a header for the game and ask questions about that game that aren't easy to find on faqs, such as the actual pace vs. what's listed/what kind of plots are run/if the game leans more towards plotty or slice of life/if a game leans more towards network or logs, etc. Both anon questions and anon answers are welcome in this section just like in the rest of the meme.

➤ This thread is not for speaking about wank or drama in a game. There are anoncomms that exist for that. This thread is specifically for general questions about a game that rpers want to get perspective on from players already in the game. Answers can be slightly negative (such as saying app response is slow or that the plots are repetitive or similar things) but this should at least be worded politely. Unnecessary vitriol, any mention of personal drama or wank, or mod teams/individual mods/players being singled out, will be screened and/or deleted.

FOR CHARACTER ADS:

➤ Put up an ad about the characters you are offering. For PSL/1-on-1 ads, there is a separate subthread but for character ads for games, post directly to the meme post. Others will comment to you with the games/casts they want you to join.

➤ There is a "Find a Castmate" section, where you can talk about a cast you play in at a game, and try to lure people to join it. Not all games post to the meme or have a "wanted" section, so players that want to tempt people to their cast on their own can use this section for it. Please format this the same as the PSL/1-on-1 section, where you post the canons in your subject. For the actual text of the ad you must use the "Find a Castmate" form provided at the bottom of this post so that these ads don't get huge. When listing who's currently in a cast, please do this in sentence form (with commas) rather than in list form.

➤ ABSOLUTELY NO obnoxious coding, with the same rules as the Game Ads Section above.

➤ If you're recommending a game to someone, try to match your suggestion to their needs. It's okay if part of your game rec is copy-pasted (such as what the game's about), but at least some part of the rec must be personalized to their ad. Try not to recommend the same game to every single ad, either. Ad spam that isn't individualized in some way will also be screened.

IN GENERAL:

➤ Don't be a dick. This isn't one of the anoncomms, so any snide comments or unnecessary commentary on the RP plans of others will be screened.

meme pardners, musebox stuff, or something more longform. i have not been in the scene for a while, so anything fairly low stress and simple to ease into would be 👌

other stuff
- looking for canon stuff mainly, but open to cross-canon with a specific scenario(s) in mind!
- generally prefer brackets over prose unless we're going really wild on the description
- more of a once-a-day tagger during the work week, but on free weekends i can squeeze them out at a faster pace
- no permissions post yet because bad, but i'm good with just about anything in the realm of gen! i like stuff that could have happened "off-camera" in canon, canon divergence, certain AUs, etc.
- shippy stuff isn't a "no," but let's chat about it beforehand!

Emet-Selch oh man A+ pick here. I wish I had some XIV characters to toss your way, but I do have a few general Final Fantasy muses (like Celes here) that might be fun to thread together.

But seriously I wish I had a WoL muse (all that lore intimidates the heck out of me), this is such a quality character choice here.

but yeah, stuff like that sounds cool too! I am also down for canon mixing, especially when it's as easy as mixing two FFs, haha. something something Dimensional Rift, Emet-Selch being fond of empire building, Gestahl being a thing, etc. I'm sure there's something there!

only thing is (and I am ashamed to admit) I'm pretty hazy on a lot of FFVI, having not done a full playthrough since I was very very tiny. so you'd have to excuse my bad lore, haha.

cause clearly throwing an axe in his face wasn't enough, ardbert needs to haunt emet in the dwrp form of the afterlife...!!

but seriously speaking i thought ardbert's line where he mentions understanding where the ascians were coming from near the end of msq pretty touching. i give any pseudo partnership a minute before it blows up (generous, i know), if you'd be interested in doing something with the two?

in ascian culture, this axe thing is considered a dick move

but yeah, i think he'd have a little tiny baby sliver of respect for ardbert in some imagined post-canon thing... whatever that would be. ghost adventures lmao.

or maybe during the 3.x stuff, in some version of canon where emet wasn't sleeping through all of heavensward. he could be to ardbert what he was to the wol in shb, just with primals instead of lightbringers! and, you know, with a lot less good will. less "let me show you the secret cosmology of our universe" and more "why yes, doing bad stuff IS okay if it helps you get your home back :)"

and in every other culture his rejoining idea kinda is one too, but you don't see him budging 🙄

but ah... how much edge is emet ready to listen to before he's ready to sleep for another few years, because it took two minutes of reviewing that dialogue before i felt deceased. i hope emet ends up regretting everything?! i love what ifs like this though, and maybe in this timeline they'll actually succeed and by succeed i mean bad end gloriously, woops.

and lmao, but... but the edge. you gotta talk like a warrior of darkness if you want to be a warrior of darkness, wol never understood this!! but honestly tho, a few hours of that and elidibus will just find him pretending to be dead in some ditch in an attempt to escape his job, like "I can see you breathing, asshole."

and what-ifs are great! if something vaguely along these lines sounds cool then I am down! but can also finagle something taking place in more recent canon if you'd rather play with a more recent Ardbert too.

but the truth behind why he doesn't sire more children comes out... all his actual children and the rando he tries to cultivate comes out as disasters. that being said, it probably won't be that bad?! ardbert can even help him with his alias problem.

and i've got a few threads going with ardbert in the recent timeline, so i'd love the chance to play his hw self too! maybe he can be the one that eventually becomes eight times rejoined too, so he'll be able to become half (½) a person in emet's eyes, incredible

man it'd be great if his offspring and pet projects wouldn't try and kill him and also didn't suck a whole lot, but lol what can you do!! but sheesh, i wonder if that could've happened -- the joining happening the opposite direction. like some weird, especially anime version of highlander. he had all his powerpoint slides about why ascians were cool written with the wol in mind and all ready to go, and ardbert just comes in and ruins it all.

but okey then, sounds like a plan. maybe we can take discussion of the particulars to pm!
