FOR GAME ADS:

➤ Put an ad up with the characters / crew / pairings / fetish you want for your game under the correct game header. This meme is primarily going to be focused on DWRP games but IJ and LJ games are allowed.

➤ PLEASE NOTE A RULE CHANGE HERE. ABSOLUTELY NO obnoxious coding (no font size > size 4 or 3 "big" tags, no oversized banners (they must be 250px in height or less), no blinking text, no obnoxious table html that doesn't collapse easily, no sparklies, no large pictures). Use all the colors you like, but please remember 3 "big" tags is the limit and that's only for headers or title text rather than for all the text in an ad.

FOR GAME QUESTIONS:

➤ RPers interested in a game can create a header for the game and ask questions about that game that aren't easy to find on faqs, such as the actual pace vs. what's listed/what kind of plots are run/if the game leans more towards plotty or slice of life/if a game leans more towards network or logs, etc. Both anon questions and anon answers are welcome in this section just like in the rest of the meme.

➤ This thread is not for speaking about wank or drama in a game. There are anoncomms that exist for that. This thread is specifically for general questions about a game that rpers want to get perspective on from players already in the game. Answers can be slightly negative (such as saying app response is slow or that the plots are repetitive or similar things) but this should at least be worded politely. Unnecessary vitriol, any mention of personal drama or wank, or mod teams/individual mods/players being singled out, will be either frozen or screened (based on what seems right based on the content).

FOR CHARACTER ADS:

➤ Put up an ad about the characters you are offering. For PSL ads, there is a separate subthread but for character ads for games, post directly to the meme post. Others will comment to you with the games/casts they want you to join.

➤ There is a "Find a Castmate" section, where you can talk about a cast you play in at a game, and try to lure people to join it. Not all games post to the meme or have a "wanted" section, so players that want to tempt people to their cast on their own can use this section for it. Please format this the same as the PSL section, where you post your character's canons in your subject. For the actual text of the ad you must use the "Find a Castmate" form provided at the bottom of this post so that these ads don't get huge. When listing who's currently in a cast, please do this in sentence form (with commas) rather than in list form.

➤ There is a "Find Crosscanon" section, where you can talk about a character you play and and desired crosscanon for that character. Please make sure this is not too generalized a search, because just wanting general crosscanon can be accomplished with the other sections of the meme. This is for specific characters or character types you're looking for. In the subject, please list the "Looking for [canon you're looking for]" rather than your character's canon. If looking for a character type, list the character type in as few words as possible. Do not make the subject huge or I'll screen your comment. For the actual text of the ad you must use the "Find Crosscanon" form provided at the bottom of this post so that these ads don't get huge. This section is only for game crosscanon as in the psl section people can list their preferences.

➤ Examples of crosscanon you can search for: You play The Flash from DC Comics and your dream CR is fellow speedster Quicksilver from Marvel. Or you might play a witch and want cr with other witches in general. Or maybe you play a good character messed up by evil parents and want to play against a villain character you know has evil parents, because you know it'd lead to some interesting negative CR.

➤ ABSOLUTELY NO obnoxious coding, with the same rules as the Game Ads Section above.

➤ If you're recommending a game to someone, try to match your suggestion to their needs. It's okay if part of your game rec is copy-pasted (such as what the game's about), but at least some part of the rec must be personalized to their ad. Try not to recommend the same game to every single ad, either. Ad spam that isn't individualized in some way will also be frozen or screened. Keep in mind this needs to be more specific than "this game has easy AC like you're asking for but meets none of your other requirements." Make sure you're advertising games that might click with that specific character, where a few elements fit what they're looking for. You should be thinking about the story reasons of how the character might click with the game.

The Realm of Stories—

A place where the worlds and characters of stories and fairy tales exist to live their own life. Born from the breath, carvings, and ink of storytellers, these worlds have grown over the centuries, changing and adapting with each new take and spin. It didn't matter how the story was told, but that it was told at all, and the characters lived in celebration each time their tale was told anew.

But time has passed and tales once beloved and widespread are quickly becoming forgotten. As more books gather dust on the shelves and people no longer come together to listen of tall tales and epic adventures, these worlds begin to fade away. It's slow at first, almost unnoticeable, until the worlds begin to crumble and disappear into infinite darkness known as the Void. Hastening the Realm's destruction is a creature called "the Story Eater." It tears through each world, even those still thriving, consuming and destroying everything in its path until all that remains is left to the Void.

The chaos does not end here.

After gaining enough power, the Story Eater is able to extend its reach out into the worlds outside the Realm. Through the pages and media connecting the worlds, the Story Eater steals the souls of those who unknowingly come in contact. Some victims are left in a strange coma while others are used as puppets to continue causing havoc and mayhem. Minions known as "Erasers" are also sent through, taking forms of humans and monsters to spread the Story Eaters influence and wreak havoc. No world is safe from its rampage.

However, there is still time.

An entity known as "the Storyteller" uses their power to seek out anyone they can reach through any means not yet tainted by the Story Eater, and those who answer have the choice to help or to ignore. If they decide to help, their souls are transported through the pages into the Realm of Stories. Inheriting the essences of fallen storybook characters, they are transformed into entities known as Aspects and are tasked to help not only combat the Story Eater and its minions, but to restore the lost stories.

If they don't, then their own worlds may be consumed and lost.

Forgotten Tales is a panfandom, fairy tale fantasy themed, small, semi-public roleplaying game. It focuses on the concept of storybooks being their own worlds and characters inheriting the powers and characteristics of various storybook characters. Player and character action will be driving force behind the game and will be used to recreate stories. So basically, we're writing our own versions of stories.

For everyone - I'm always open to interesting crosscanon propositions so hit me up with anybody. I tend to lean towards shipping but I also really love exploring family relationships too, and I'm more than happy to AU people into those situations to make it work.
I love all the most cliche tropes - soulmates, fake dating, arranged marriage etc - but I'm also really here at the moment for things like amnesia, hurt/comfort and fun canon divergences/AUs you might wanna dream up.

For Harry - canonmates for memes and PSLs, I ship him with.. uh... almost everybody if I'm honest, and I'd love to play around with AUs and stuff with him. Particularly enamoured at the moment with Harry-is-a-merman AU. I'd also LOVE if anybody played CJ or Harriet, though since Harriet is literally mentioned once and CJ's only showed up in two or three episodes of wicked world, I'm not holding my breath. Empatheias is a large ofloating island and is one of the last remnants of a destroyed world. Its only city, Verens, is a somewhat strange place with its steampunk design and magitech technology. No two buildings ever seem to look the same, but perhaps it's not just because of the nature of its fashion. Emotions also help to change and sometimes warp the city and the island itself. Through these emotions, the island continues to grow, revealing more about what happened to the world below. These emotions can also play a role in much smaller ways. A simple laugh can illuminate a room, an angry outburst can shatter windows. The grass can both grow and wither depending on who is standing on it.

These emotions are collected in special crystal amulets and it is this amulet that you will rely on throughout your stay. As you meet and interact with people, explore the world, and go about your daily life, it will fill with the various emotions you experience. Keep it close, for it may prove to be the key to returning home.

However, there's more to this world than meets the eye. With the appearance of giant, powerful, mythical beings called the Arehtei, it would appear that while the floating island is thriving, the rest of the world is in its death throes. Something tragic happened eight hundred years ago, a mystery that no one remembers but are determined to solve. It would seem that the path home may prove more difficult than anticipated, and may require some "emotional aid" on your part. Perhaps this is the very reason why you were brought here to begin with.

But there are too many unanswered questions, and with each one that is answered, more arise. The only clues you have are tied to your emotions—emotions strong enough to shake the very foundations of this world.

So keep an eye on how you and others feel. Who knows what will be revealed next?

[game info]: Aefenglom is a fantasy game set in another world's steampunk-y Victorian era equivalent except with magitek that's accelerated technology in some respects. Characters arriving in the game either become Witches (capable of learning a variety of magic classes) or Monsters (beginning to change into one of the monsters in the game's bestiary), and in order to safely handle these new abilities, characters need to form magical Bonds with each other. The game is plotty and has a lot of exploration elements, but also plenty of downtime to do other stuff. An app round just passed, so the next TDM and round won't be until the second half of May, but hey, most of Second Beat should have aired by then for icon fodder, so that's one advantage!

I am looking for long-term PSLs w/ game-style development. My favourite scenarios tend to involve characters being taken out of their comfort zones and having to work together to set things right again, but I'm open to others as well.
Less interested in casual and one-shot threads. Test drives are cool, though!
I'm sorry, but I don't enjoy writing fight scenes. I'm okay with doing them every once in a while, but overall I would rather handwave the action-y parts and focus on the aftermath. So if you're looking to write lots and lots of action scenes, I am probably not your girl.
For shippy/smutty stuff, I vastly prefer slow burn scenarios. Cornelia is 27-30 depending on canon point, and I'm mostly interested in shipping her with characters around the mid-twenties range or older.
I like gen a lot too! For gen, I don't really have any preferences regarding age or pacing or whatever.
Beyond all that, I'm game for most things! Figuring out should-be-impossible scenarios is my jam.
AUs, OUs, world merging, and jamjars are all fine as far as setting goes.
Otherwise, castmates are cool, cross-canon is cool, cross-medium is cool, OCs are cool. Lots of things are cool.
