FOR GAME ADS:

➤ Put an ad up with the characters / crew / pairings / fetish you want for your game under the correct game header. This meme is primarily going to be focused on DWRP games but IJ and LJ games are allowed.

➤ PLEASE NOTE A RULE CHANGE HERE. ABSOLUTELY NO obnoxious coding (no font size > size 4 or 3 "big" tags, no oversized banners (they must be 250px in height or less), no blinking text, no obnoxious table html that doesn't collapse easily, no sparklies, no large pictures). Use all the colors you like, but please remember 3 "big" tags is the limit and that's only for headers or title text rather than for all the text in an ad.

FOR GAME QUESTIONS:

➤ RPers interested in a game can create a header for the game and ask questions about that game that aren't easy to find on faqs, such as the actual pace vs. what's listed/what kind of plots are run/if the game leans more towards plotty or slice of life/if a game leans more towards network or logs, etc. Both anon questions and anon answers are welcome in this section just like in the rest of the meme.

➤ This thread is not for speaking about wank or drama in a game. There are anoncomms that exist for that. This thread is specifically for general questions about a game that rpers want to get perspective on from players already in the game. Answers can be slightly negative (such as saying app response is slow or that the plots are repetitive or similar things) but this should at least be worded politely. Unnecessary vitriol, any mention of personal drama or wank, or mod teams/individual mods/players being singled out, will be either frozen or screened (based on what seems right based on the content).

FOR CHARACTER ADS:

➤ Put up an ad about the characters you are offering. For PSL ads, there is a separate subthread but for character ads for games, post directly to the meme post. Others will comment to you with the games/casts they want you to join.

➤ There is a "Find a Castmate" section, where you can talk about a cast you play in at a game, and try to lure people to join it. Not all games post to the meme or have a "wanted" section, so players that want to tempt people to their cast on their own can use this section for it. Please format this the same as the PSL section, where you post your character's canons in your subject. For the actual text of the ad you must use the "Find a Castmate" form provided at the bottom of this post so that these ads don't get huge. When listing who's currently in a cast, please do this in sentence form (with commas) rather than in list form.

➤ There is a "Find Crosscanon" section, where you can talk about a character you play and and desired crosscanon for that character. Please make sure this is not too generalized a search, because just wanting general crosscanon can be accomplished with the other sections of the meme. This is for specific characters or character types you're looking for. In the subject, please list the "Looking for [canon you're looking for]" rather than your character's canon. If looking for a character type, list the character type in as few words as possible. Do not make the subject huge or I'll screen your comment. For the actual text of the ad you must use the "Find Crosscanon" form provided at the bottom of this post so that these ads don't get huge. This section is only for game crosscanon as in the psl section people can list their preferences.

➤ Examples of crosscanon you can search for: You play The Flash from DC Comics and your dream CR is fellow speedster Quicksilver from Marvel. Or you might play a witch and want cr with other witches in general. Or maybe you play a good character messed up by evil parents and want to play against a villain character you know has evil parents, because you know it'd lead to some interesting negative CR.

➤ ABSOLUTELY NO obnoxious coding, with the same rules as the Game Ads Section above.

➤ If you're recommending a game to someone, try to match your suggestion to their needs. It's okay if part of your game rec is copy-pasted (such as what the game's about), but at least some part of the rec must be personalized to their ad. Try not to recommend the same game to every single ad, either. Ad spam that isn't individualized in some way will also be frozen or screened. Keep in mind this needs to be more specific than "this game has easy AC like you're asking for but meets none of your other requirements." Make sure you're advertising games that might click with that specific character, where a few elements fit what they're looking for. You should be thinking about the story reasons of how the character might click with the game.

➤ Don't be a dick. This isn't one of the anoncomms, so any snide comments or unnecessary commentary on the RP plans of others will be frozen or screened.

• gen: crosscanon and anyone from the uncharted series, lbr here. i love his relationship with nate, i'd love to suss out more about how he and elena get on (my gOSH, is she patient), i doubt anyone plays cassie but i would GLADLY do dumb "uncle sam comes to visit" nonsense with her. for crosscanon, good people willing to look for the good in this sleaze, questionable people who might have something he wants, kids he can get stuck dealing with, whatever.
• shipping: sam/chloe/nadine is my ot3! beyond that, i'm willing to fuck around with crosscanon and see how it goes. i'm generally interested in m/f with him, and i'm happy to play him as either old sad bro or dumb teen dirtbag.

• gen: anyone who'll put up with a violent, taciturn pirate long enough to build some kind of relationship with her, positive or negative. in addition to castmates, i've really enjoyed playing her off characters from similarly darker or age of sail-oriented canons. i really like incorporating genre stuff she's not necessarily familiar with--horror, weird shit, science fiction, etc.
• shipping: anne/jack is my otp, but i'm also a fan of anne/max and max/anne/jack. i'm also into crosscanon shipping, with the caveat that whether anne'll actually be into someone is kind of a crapshoot.
• some thoughts: particularly fascinated with pre- and post-series stuff, happy to AU where it's easy to do given her background! something like the expanse, it's easy to imagine anne as one more citizen fucked over by the system. where her background doesn't fit well, like a lot of modern canons, i prefer to make her inexplicably immortal, raised from the dead, whatever--anything to make it a little easier to explain why she is the way she is.

“Load Game” is greyed out and you cannot select it (unless, of course, you are returning again). The panel also refuses to go away no matter what you do.

Eventually, either because you’re fed up or an accident happens (maybe you trip while walking or gesture while talking). Regardless of how it happened, you end up pressing the ‘New Game’ button.

Then the world goes dark.

When you wake up you are in something like a cryogenic pod within a broken down, modern looking building in the middle of a lot of overgrown greenery.

Before you can get your bearings another message pops up:

Labyrinthian is an panfandom roleplaying game with a focus on action and adventure, exploration and RPG elements, loosely based on the Etrian Odyssey game series. Characters arrive in a town full of NPCs connected to two labyrinths full of mystery, adventure and dangerous monsters.

Work together to form guilds, fight monsters, complete quests and try not to lose your temper at the NPCs who keep repeating their stock phrases and forcing you to sit through tutorials and explanations without a SKIP button in sight.

And of course, they must navigate another mainstay of RPGs: a job class system that gives them new abilities to replace their own (with a possibility of regaining a version of their powers later on). Or maybe you’re a veteran gamer and all this is familiar to you and all you have to worry about is convincing your less trope savvy companions that it’s not weird to look through every urn you find.

All this while you try to solve the mystery of the labyrinth...and hope that doing so will lead you to a way home.

In truth, that brief scene you just lived out, it was one your memories from another life – only you didn’t go to it, it came to you, here on Earth.

Earth is the fulcrum between an infinite number of alternate universes. The barriers that keep the universes separate are thin here – so thin, in fact, that sometimes they break. The contents of one universe will bleed over into ours, wreaking havoc, causing mayhem, generally messing things about. They are the thinnest in that metropolitan area we know as New York City, for reasons no one knows. Why haven’t you heard about any of this?

It will explore fantasy, horror, sci-fi, and adventure elements. Characters begin the game as average Earth citizens and then over time regain their canon memories. The Drift Fleet was renowned across the galaxy as the intergalactic reality show to follow. For centuries people have been taken away from their homes, pulled from multiple universes and from multiple times, and watched like a bug under glass for the amusement of faceless aliens. But what was entertainment for some was hope to another - for one race desperately needing help, The Drift Fleet was an answered prayer. For you it will be the start of a whole new adventure.

Welcome to Agra 10.

Where is this planet? Well, no one is quite sure of that, yet. When you arrive, you encounter a glowing orb that harmlessly downloads information directly into your mind. What you learn from it is this:

This planet is now home for you. Centuries have passed since anyone has been able to live here, though. Agra 10 is a dying world thanks to inexplicable and debilitating energy storms that have destroyed everything in their paths, including the Agrii people. Once, this proud race of millions had a thriving world full of advanced and sophisticated technology. The storms cut that number down to hundreds, huddled together in the heart of their capital, Temba.

That is where you are now.

The Agrii are now gone and Temba is the most intact area left (which says a lot about the rest of the planet). The orb is a Data Point left by the departing aliens to tell their story. But how did you get here? Why are you here? What are you supposed to be doing?

That is all for you to discover. The Agrii’s hope and your own survival is now in your hands. This isn’t a show anymore. It’s not a game.

It’s a Revival.

No, but really. What is this game?
The Revival Project is a jamjar game that picks up after The Drift Fleet concludes. While it is a spin-off game, it is only loosely connected to the plot there and anyone can join regardless of their presence in The Drift Fleet. NO prior knowledge of The Drift Fleet is necessary to play.

From what you’ve discovered so far, your character has been brought to Agra 10, a destroyed planet that has been abandoned for centuries. You will soon learn that your mission here is to rebuild the capital city and the rest of this once-proud world. The Agrii, who remain off-world, have found that outsiders are somehow partially immune to the energy storms that massacred their population. Because of this, they will continue to find the best helpers from every universe to bring here. Lucky you are among those chosen.

In addition to rebuilding the planet, there is another task you must undertake. After all of the chaos that has splintered them for decades, the Agrii no longer fully understand what it means to be part of a community. Watching The Drift Fleet was the only lesson they had to help them relearn how to function as a cohesive society once more. So while you work together and even (eventually) travel to distant worlds, know that you have fans watching and learning from your every move. And don’t be surprised if they even reach out (although their English leaves much to be desired).

TRP is structured as a slice-of-life, adventure, and survival game where you have the opportunity to pick whichever of those elements you wish and avoid those that you do not. Whichever path your character travels here is entirely up to you.

As the game progresses, events will uncover larger and perhaps surprising truths about your new home and the race that brought you here. Not all is what it seems. There will be plenty of opportunity to take advantage of the setting; how you do so is yours to decide.

So, as the Agrii would say: Whale Comb, he rows!

Ashi, Samurai Jack
⤑ TLDR; Ashi was one of seven girls dubbed the Daughters of Aku, born by the High Priestess of an all-female cult of Aku after ingesting some of Aku's essence. She was raised as an assassin alongside her sisters with their only goal was to one day kill Samurai Jack. After witnessing the outside world and hearing stories from others on everything Samurai Jack did for them, she later sides with him and becomes one of his most important allies in his fight. In the end defeating Aku in the past means she was never born and she fades away.
⤑ I'm mostly looking for a Jack for shipping shenanigans. I wouldn't mind dabbling in AUs and while I have no specific characters in mind I'm open to crosscanon things as well.

Elizabeth Bennet, Pride and Prejudice OR Lizzie Bennet, The Lizzie Bennet Diaries
⤑ TLDR; Taken from the 1995 A&E version, Jennifer Ehle as PB. Elizabeth is twenty, hails from 1812 England and is the second of five sisters with a marriage-minded mother. She is spunky, opinionated and witty to boot. I also have a more modern-day Lizzie Bennet straight from The Lizzie Bennet Diaries.
⤑ I'm mostly looking for a Mr. Darcy in both series for shipping shenanigans, either set pre-series, during or post. I'm fine with exploring AUs and canon divergences. I'll entertain cross-canon ideas with both Lizzies as well!

Helga G. Pataki, Hey Arnold!
⤑ TLDR; This would be an AU Helga based on Craig Bartlett's pitch for The Patakis, a sequel series that takes place four years after The Jungle Movie and is all about a fifteen year old Helga and her family. She's still the same hot-headed, argumentative girl she ever was and a budding writer as well.
⤑ I'm not looking for anyone in particular, I'm simply looking for the chance to explore a little of a teenage Helga dealing with her family life problems and what might have went down if the series really had come to fruition. I love the idea of crossovers and blending things together so I readily welcome any and all crosscanon for her.

Juno, Beastars
⤑ TLDR; Juno is a 16 (17 in the current manga chapters) year old female gray wolf in a world where anthro animals are divided into two categories - carnivore and herbivore. Juno is a self-confident young woman who goes for what she wants whole-heartedly and without fear while also forgetting how to filter her words before they exit her brain and out of her mouth. She can be cunning and a little manipulative when she sees the need as well as a touch greedy.
⤑ I'm particularly looking for a Louis for shipping shenanigans from heat of the moment to slow-burn and everything in between. I'm also interested in exploring OT4s with the addition of a Legosi and a Haru. If you want to explore other AUs I'm down for that too.

Maria Renard, Castlevania
⤑ TLDR; Maria was taken in by her distant relative Richter Belmont and his wife Annette following her rescue from Dracula's castle as a child. Since then she's grown into her abilities to summon the the Four Celestial Beasts and become a vampire hunter in her own right. She's self-confident with a big, bold attitude that hasn't diminished a bit since her childhood.
⤑ No real preferences here, I'm open to anyone! I've played off of characters from the animated series with her the most and I'm perfectly fine with spoilers. I'm open to AUing her into the animated series or not as needed.

Sarah Williams, Return to Labyrinth
⤑ TLDR; Once there was a young girl who in a fit of anger wished her baby brother away to the Goblin King - and that isn't the end of the story. Sarah is twenty-eight, a highschool english teacher and now an aspiring writer. She's grown up somewhat jaded and cynical, often avoiding feelings with jokes and snark. After thirteen years of being separated from her dreams and passions, she's learning how to dream again, hope and open up to others.

Yukina Suzumori, Demons' Bond (also known as Toki no Kizuna)
⤑ TLDR; Yukina is a pure-blood demon (or oni) hailing from 1599 Japan just before the Battle of Sekigahara begins. Yukina was raised rather cloistered within a little mountain village attended by three Elders in her community and acts as the guard for Princess Yase. Her knowledge of humans is rather limited to what she knows from casual observation via going to their villages to trade and such. Even her knowledge on other demons/oni and socializing with them is extremely limited as well. She's good hearted though and deeply loyal to both Yase-hime and demonkind in general.
⤑ I'd love to explore either demon/oni society more in-depth or Yukina slowly learning more about human society. I'm extremely open to AUs as well.

I also enjoy such things as families of all types, slice of life/domestic shenanigans as well as horror and survival in general (mixed with some hurt/comfort). I particularly like exploring the darker, grittier sides of fairy tales. I draw the line at guro however and anything involving eye trauma.

shipping/smut: F/M 21+ only for Sarah. I would prefer if smut came after CR buildup with crosscanon pairings but I'm open to assumed CR as well. General threads, romantic threads, whatever. I'm willing to dive straight into smut with canon pairings but I'd love build up there too and indulge in cutesy fluff moments. I love the whole soulmates (tattoos, glowing chests, etc.) and mates tropes as well when it comes to shipping/smut.

All anyone really knows is that while the space around the planet, and the people on it, may blip in and out of existence, the planet itself remains the same. Tethered to the unknown. Is Anchor the center of the multiverse, or is it the cosmic junk heap? When it sucks people, places, and things in, can it spit them back out, or do they simply cease to exist on the other side?

Was your signal lost, or was your connection purposefully intercepted?

Part colony, part research facility, Anchor was built by those who came before you. The disappeared. Maybe they found their way home - or maybe they didn’t.

Maybe you'll survive long enough to find out.

REDSHIFT is a pan-fandom CRAU-focused survival game with elements of horror, set on an unnamed planet that exists in the dead space between universes. Player-driven and exploration focused, the colony of Anchor's facilities and story can be unlocked piece by piece through character actions.

Given the focus on CRAU, it's possible to find multiple versions of a single character in-game. Creatures, places, and things from other universes may also make appearances, temporary or permanent, by plot or player suggestion. The way things go is largely up to you.
