July EMP Meme
FOR GAME ADS: ➤ Put an ad up with the characters / crew / pairings / fetish you want for your game under the correct game header. This meme is primarily going to be focused on DWRP games but IJ and LJ games are allowed. ➤ PLEASE NOTE A RULE CHANGE HERE. ABSOLUTELY NO obnoxious coding (no font size > size 4 or 3 "big" tags, no oversized banners (they must be 250px in height or less), no blinking text, no obnoxious table html that doesn't collapse easily, no sparklies, no large pictures). Use all the colors you like, but please remember 3 "big" tags is the limit and that's only for headers or title text rather than for all the text in an ad. FOR GAME QUESTIONS: ➤ RPers interested in a game can create a header for the game and ask questions about that game that aren't easy to find on faqs, such as the actual pace vs. what's listed/what kind of plots are run/if the game leans more towards plotty or slice of life/if a game leans more towards network or logs, etc. Both anon questions and anon answers are welcome in this section just like in the rest of the meme. ➤ This thread is not for speaking about wank or drama in a game. There are anoncomms that exist for that. This thread is specifically for general questions about a game that rpers want to get perspective on from players already in the game. Answers can be slightly negative (such as saying app response is slow or that the plots are repetitive or similar things) but this should at least be worded politely. Unnecessary vitriol, any mention of personal drama or wank, or mod teams/individual mods/players being singled out, will be either frozen or screened (based on what seems right based on the content). FOR CHARACTER ADS: ➤ Put up an ad about the characters you are offering. For PSL ads, there is a separate subthread but for character ads for games, post directly to the meme post. Others will comment to you with the games/casts they want you to join. ➤ There is a "Find a Castmate" section, where you can talk about a cast you play in at a game, and try to lure people to join it. Not all games post to the meme or have a "wanted" section, so players that want to tempt people to their cast on their own can use this section for it. Please format this the same as the PSL section, where you post your character's canons in your subject. For the actual text of the ad you must use the "Find a Castmate" form provided at the bottom of this post so that these ads don't get huge. When listing who's currently in a cast, please do this in sentence form (with commas) rather than in list form. ➤ There is a "Find Crosscanon" section, where you can talk about a character you play and and desired crosscanon for that character. Please make sure this is not too generalized a search, because just wanting general crosscanon can be accomplished with the other sections of the meme. This is for specific characters or character types you're looking for. In the subject, please list the "Looking for [canon you're looking for]" rather than your character's canon. If looking for a character type, list the character type in as few words as possible. Do not make the subject huge or I'll screen your comment. For the actual text of the ad you must use the "Find Crosscanon" form provided at the bottom of this post so that these ads don't get huge. This section is only for game crosscanon as in the psl section people can list their preferences. ➤ Examples of crosscanon you can search for: You play The Flash from DC Comics and your dream CR is fellow speedster Quicksilver from Marvel. Or you might play a witch and want cr with other witches in general. Or maybe you play a good character messed up by evil parents and want to play against a villain character you know has evil parents, because you know it'd lead to some interesting negative CR. ➤ ABSOLUTELY NO obnoxious coding, with the same rules as the Game Ads Section above. ➤ If you're recommending a game to someone, try to match your suggestion to their needs. It's okay if part of your game rec is copy-pasted (such as what the game's about), but at least some part of the rec must be personalized to their ad. Try not to recommend the same game to every single ad, either. Ad spam that isn't individualized in some way will also be frozen or screened. Keep in mind this needs to be more specific than "this game has easy AC like you're asking for but meets none of your other requirements." Duplicity is a sex game (but sex is not required for AC) that explores darker aspects of a character's personality and desires in a city that automatically sorts new arrivals into a caste system. You find yourself standing on a wide station platform, in clothes not your own, holding a ticket with your name on it. Through the billowing steam, a train's whistle sounds.
Voidtreckers is a game where characters are forcibly recruited as Voidtreckers, inter-dimensional heroes needed on world-saving missions across multiple planets. On arrival, your character is assigned apparently randomly to one of four teams, each with their own role on-world. Nobody knows why this happens or how they're picked, but they're stuck together whether they like it or not.
At least there's a cinema these days.
AC is two proofs of 5 comments each per month, with the option of receiving bonuses for additional AC challenges that will allow your character to earn more currency points. It's medium-sized, very backtag-friendly, AU and CRAU are allowed and encouraged.
While most powers aren't nerfed, characters don't always arrive with their weapons, and exterior summons (such as from Materia) cannot be easily gained due to the train being a butt about not selling 'weapons'. :(
Apps close on the 29th! If that's too soon for you, a new TDM goes up next month on the 15th, with reserves opening on the 18th and apps opening again on the 22nd.

[game info]: Imeeji is a panfandom memloss game where characters have been dragged into hell to perform for the entertainment of demons as idols. Upon entering the game, characters are sorted onto one of twelve units with various abilities, and are often pitted against the other idol groups for trauma and silly games alike!
Memories are easily regained and there is an overarching plot to engage with for those who like to!
We'd love more cast. Neither Yona nor Kija should be left unattended without proper supervision, and they've been there for a long time now.
Applications open up every other month and there can sometimes be a waiting list depending on if you are picky about the unit you want. But new players are always prioritized first...!

[game info]: Happy Hearts is set in the titular hotel and casino in Wonderland, where characters are kidnapped to by the Queen and her followers. The monthly events are aimed at drawing out particular emotions so they can be distilled into emotion teas (that are also available to the characters) and characters may sign up for opportunities to interact with NPCs, plot investigations, and etc. during them. Characters lose their powers on arrival, but they are also distilled into teas that can be given as AC rewards, and if a character is randomly rolled their own power as a reward, they gain it back permanently.
AC is 2 proofs of either 5 log/10 network comments or open posts/tls can be used as proofs. Apps are monthly and at the start of the month, and TDMs are now also monthly - a new TDM should be going up soon, but reserves are currently open!

[game info]: Ryslig's a horror game (with a healthy dose of comedy at times) where your character is brought to a mysterious peninsula by the mysterious Fog God and eventually turns into a monster (chosen by the mods either through personality traits or randomly) who has to eat people. You do have to humanize your characters at first if you're playing any of the animal people/robots, but they start turning into monsters soon, so it's fine. Robotnik's turning into a faerie, which basically means BUG MONSTER BUG MONSTER. He's got extra arms! Exciting!

To help, for a given definition of help, characters get certain "moonblessings" that activate during the cycles of the particular associated moons, that include everything from fancy powers to growing animal parts to personality changes.
It's a neon quasi-furry sex-friendly game with weird things going on. That's what it is. Robotnik hates it. Ohhh, does he hate it. He's learning to deal with people better, though. Or trying to! Bother him some more. Reserves and the TDM open August 8th, apps open the 15th.

Deerington is a pan-fandom horror game that is based in a dream reality. Characters will experience all different types of horror connected to monthly events and an overarching plot of just who is behind this and what is actually going on. If you want to explore your character's psyche and see how far they can be stretched, then this is the place for you. You will never be without a prompt to encourage your creativity! The mods have done a great job in the world build and providing a lot of options in each event. You are always able to be involved to the level of your comfort, so you don't need to worry about a certain aspect of horror not being your purview. The game is medium-paced and very backtag friendly so you don't need to worry about missing out on something, and AC with rewards help you gain new tools to work with IC.

Prisma is a sex-friendly (but not sex-required) sci-fi/fantasy game that has a very low AC (3-5 comments/month) and a lot of fun mechanics. Physical affection gives your character energy and money, but if that's not your character's bag, the Moonblessing system encourages it in some fun ways.
There is an overarching plot but it can be easily played as an SoL game, which is how I've more or less been going about it.
CRAU and OCs are also allowed! Finn's a CRAU, too. Reserves open on the 8th. Applications open on the 15th. The TDM will be posted on the 8th/9th.

The Greening is a heavily fae-themed horror game for the tired rp souls who just want a chill time and not have to worry about super detailed apps or complicated AC. It's also heavy on world-building, exploration and encourages player-made plots. Right now it's just starting out, so a lot of characters are still trying to figure out how best to handle their new living situation, but there's already plans in motions that include things like creating a garden for food & herbs as well as hunting expeditions.
We are also sadly capped on our WoLs limit, as there can only be two versions of characters at any one time, but FFXIV OCs are also acceptable! As well as CRAUs, AUs, and OCs, but I'd say check out the game's FAQ for proper details. Though I'll try to answer any questions you might have too!

The Greening is a heavily fae-themed horror game for the tired rp souls who just want a chill time and not have to worry about super detailed apps or complicated AC. It's heavy on world-building, exploration and encourages player-made plots. It's also just starting out, so there's a lot to do and very little is known about the world beyond the castle so far.
I already have intentions of Shinjiro trying to teach most of the Stolen how to properly cook - given some hijinks with the fae food and lack of it being, well, safe. He's also very used to the strange things that come from being dragged to another world, and because of his previous stay in Empatheias, he knows that there are other persona users besides the P3 children. Given he's met and interacted with P5, P4 and P2 characters and will probably recognize most of them because of it, but is fully aware they may not realize who he is.
But he'll still senpai any that happen to find themselves stuck in the Greening anyhow.But if you have any questions, feel free to ask! Though I do suggest checking out the game's FAQ, for proper details.

ICly, characters are brought to a world mostly populated by robots, told that they need to have sex in order to restore the world, and this results in better housing/food options/etc for all via the Augur rewards. OOCly, rewards can be both IC or OOC request, so you can have fun dumping things on your characters they wouldn't want. It's a sex game with a sense of humor, since we've already requested Chocobos, lube cannons, a bathhouse, a library full of porn, etc. You can ALSO bring your Holon, as Val/entina already has hers and there's a ton of other mecha series characters to chat with as well.

[game info]: I'm still pretty new but the players are friendly, the activity is very manageable, and the horror and amount of choices offered to players is great! The TDM is up and reserves and apps open closer to the end of the month. Daryl is still beginning his monster changes and he needs his family! I would absolutely die for a Rick or a Glenn to build some monsterlawkeeper plot with. (And so he can cry about Glenn.)

There's a meta-plot and frequent player-driven plots. AC is 10 comments spread across up to 5 different threads and everything else counts toward bonus points that can get you different stuff, including a monster switch. As far as body horror goes, a fair bit is up to player discretion and you can opt out of any monsters you really don't like. Each monster type has a few mandatory changes and a bunch of optional ones that you can use to customize your character to be as mostly human-looking or as inhumanly monstrous as desired.

[game info]: Deerington is a panfandom horror game set in a small town in Maine, USA during the 1950's. There are a lot of mysteries behind the setting including why so many random people are being pulled in. There are monthly events that affect the setting and the type of horror changes with it (for example, we've had a Bioshock themed event one month then switched to Midsommar another). If an event doesn't appeal to you, there's no need to participate! It's a medium paced game that's very back tag friendly with easy AC! There are lots of rewards for AC as well!

[game info]: Deerington is a panfandom horror game set in 1950's Maine, or at least a dream reality version of it. There's different types of horror, and you can customize it to the level you'd like to play. This place is meant to test your characters psyche! So play out whatever you think will break whoever you bring in, and have fun helping others do the same. Events are not mandatory, but you can always take a prompt and customize it to something you do want to play out. So if there's a month where nothing strikes you? That's okay! There's always something to do here. Game is mid to fast paced, super backtag friendly, and the AC rewards system can help with getting new IC items for the game.

The Greening focuses on fae and eldritch-themed horror with optional body horror thrown in for those looking to see their character fall prey to the faerie court's machinations and become monsters themselves! Apps are fairly simple and even characters with flimsy backgrounds can be apped in, so this is perfect for bringing in any of the hero classes with whatever headcanon background information you'd like to include. This is a relatively slow-paced game that relies on input from the playerbase to help with worldbuilding and plot exploration, so if you're the type that likes to be involved with the direction the story takes, this might be the game for you!
Currently, the first wave of Stolen are getting their bearings and trying to figure out their new living situation. While some are working to live as autonomously from their gracious 'hosts' as much as possible, Julien is playing the long game and trying to ingratiate themself to the faerie court to gain advantages from inside the system. They've already caught the eye of Lord Auberon and are working to curry his favor, hoping to use any boons gained to aid the rebellion, but they're not immune to the temptations of serving in a glamorous faerie court. On top of that, they're still trying to manage the symptoms of their Curse and find a reliable source of blood in order to keep their thirst under control, and Fae blood is particularly addicting compared to human blood...
Feel free to ask any questions! There's no obligation for anyone to make their character compliant with Julien's particular narrative, and I'd love for them to play off "alternate" versions of their hirelings from a Hamlet where Julien isn't the Heir!

[game info]: Prismatica is basically "Hold hands, kiss or fuck to save the world" so like, if seeing characters talk about sex bothers you it's probably not a game for you.
Asakura has just been mucking about, not giving a shit about telling people about her world, as I play her from the manga/novels so she's from her last canon appearance (aka the Surprise of Haruhi) and thus she'd be further along the timeline than say an anime-only castmate. Just as a heads up!
