FOR GAME ADS:

➤ Put an ad up with the characters / crew / pairings / fetish you want for your game under the correct game header. This meme is primarily going to be focused on DWRP games but IJ and LJ games are allowed.

➤ PLEASE NOTE A RULE CHANGE HERE. ABSOLUTELY NO obnoxious coding (no font size > size 4 or 3 "big" tags, no oversized banners (they must be 250px in height or less), no blinking text, no obnoxious table html that doesn't collapse easily, no sparklies, no large pictures). Use all the colors you like, but please remember 3 "big" tags is the limit and that's only for headers or title text rather than for all the text in an ad.

FOR GAME QUESTIONS:

➤ RPers interested in a game can create a header for the game and ask questions about that game that aren't easy to find on faqs, such as the actual pace vs. what's listed/what kind of plots are run/if the game leans more towards plotty or slice of life/if a game leans more towards network or logs, etc. Both anon questions and anon answers are welcome in this section just like in the rest of the meme.

➤ This thread is not for speaking about wank or drama in a game. There are anoncomms that exist for that. This thread is specifically for general questions about a game that rpers want to get perspective on from players already in the game. Answers can be slightly negative (such as saying app response is slow or that the plots are repetitive or similar things) but this should at least be worded politely. Unnecessary vitriol, any mention of personal drama or wank, or mod teams/individual mods/players being singled out, will be either frozen or screened (based on what seems right based on the content).

FOR CHARACTER ADS:

➤ Put up an ad about the characters you are offering. For PSL ads, there is a separate subthread but for character ads for games, post directly to the meme post. Others will comment to you with the games/casts they want you to join.

➤ There is a "Find a Castmate" section, where you can talk about a cast you play in at a game, and try to lure people to join it. Not all games post to the meme or have a "wanted" section, so players that want to tempt people to their cast on their own can use this section for it. Please format this the same as the PSL section, where you post your character's canons in your subject. For the actual text of the ad you must use the "Find a Castmate" form provided at the bottom of this post so that these ads don't get huge. When listing who's currently in a cast, please do this in sentence form (with commas) rather than in list form.

➤ There is a "Find Crosscanon" section, where you can talk about a character you play and and desired crosscanon for that character. Please make sure this is not too generalized a search, because just wanting general crosscanon can be accomplished with the other sections of the meme. This is for specific characters or character types you're looking for. In the subject, please list the "Looking for [canon you're looking for]" rather than your character's canon. If looking for a character type, list the character type in as few words as possible. Do not make the subject huge or I'll screen your comment. For the actual text of the ad you must use the "Find Crosscanon" form provided at the bottom of this post so that these ads don't get huge. This section is only for game crosscanon as in the psl section people can list their preferences.

➤ Examples of crosscanon you can search for: You play The Flash from DC Comics and your dream CR is fellow speedster Quicksilver from Marvel. Or you might play a witch and want cr with other witches in general. Or maybe you play a good character messed up by evil parents and want to play against a villain character you know has evil parents, because you know it'd lead to some interesting negative CR.

➤ ABSOLUTELY NO obnoxious coding, with the same rules as the Game Ads Section above.

➤ If you're recommending a game to someone, try to match your suggestion to their needs. It's okay if part of your game rec is copy-pasted (such as what the game's about), but at least some part of the rec must be personalized to their ad. Try not to recommend the same game to every single ad, either. Ad spam that isn't individualized in some way will also be frozen or screened. Keep in mind this needs to be more specific than "this game has easy AC like you're asking for but meets none of your other requirements." Make sure you're advertising games that might click with that specific character, where a few elements fit what they're looking for. You should be thinking about the story reasons of how the character might click with the game.

➤ Don't be a dick. This isn't one of the anoncomms, so any snide comments or unnecessary commentary on the RP plans of others will be frozen or screened.

oh gosh I'm just a drive by but having played Coulson for a good while before, I just wanted to show appreciation for Daisy. :3 (I haven't started season 6/7 but good times!!)

I have so much love for Phil Coulson, words cannot express how much I adore his character. And tbh, I skipped season 6 the first time around but got pulled in by how amazing season 7 is with the time travel arc — now I've gone back to s6 and it is WILD. The writing team clearly decided to throw caution to the wind with the various plots.

That's a long-winded way of getting around to saying, if you ever decide to bring Coulson out of retirement, please hit me up!! I love the dynamic between him and Daisy so much.

Right? I lost my MCU/AoS drive after season 5 and Endgame (what with the long break to get to season 6 too) but the show really just does get progressively better.

I may need some hefty canon review but I'll definitely poke if that ever happens.

Oh, definitely same here. Endgame especially murdered my drive for anything in the universe, but my passion for these crazy adventures is back with a vengeance. I'm so glad they were given the chance to end the show on their terms, and it really is a satisfying ending after all these years.

I watched a youtube recap video of seasons 1-6 before diving into 7 and it was mindboggling to think of all those twists and turns crammed into so few seasons. They really covered a LOT of ground. At least 6-7 are half seasons, so that makes it... slightly better. Still over 100 episodes though. But if you ever get to that point, I'd be open for just about anything — post-canon things, AUs, timeline shenanigans... you name it.

Yeah. I'm glad they broke free of having to follow MCU continuity. ~~Recognize Daisy in MCU though dangit.~~

But uh if you don't mind tossing that recap video my way I might give it a peek. >.> I'm very slow and flaky with rp for the past year or so though so I can make no promises. I do like AU/timeline/what-if things. It'd be less worry about borking up canon details.

YES, Daisy deserves to be recognized in the greater MCU! Which, there's been a big fan push lately and lots of rumors that they might have set her up to be part of adventures in Disney+ things involving SWORD, so... Fingers crossed it actually happens. Please, Marvel, give us this one thing.

Here's the one I watched! Very broad strokes for the main plots but it's a good starting point to jog the memory. And absolutely no worries or pressure if things don't work out! If you do decide to give it a try, those kinds of shenanigans are my jam. I keep thinking of what early Coulson would think of meeting season 7 Daisy via time travel, or what if Daisy had already gone through terrigenesis somehow before she joined the team. Or bigger AUs like we got to see in the Framework. (This show has consumed my mind, I apologize for the overenthusiastic response to your simple original comment lmao.)

And thank you for the link! I definitely need to look up season 6/7 if they included more time travel because hoo boy. I really do love Framework AU things though. I maanged to play dorky teacher Coulson at one point. It was great.

And no worries!! It's been a while since I got to geek out over AoS. With Final Fantasy consuming my life for a couple years now.

Things with SWORD are definitely happening in the MCU, there was an after-credits scene of Fury chillaxing on a space station and the logo has been spotted in the behind the scenes photos for WandaVision. And Deke's actor mentioned in a livestream not long ago that their sets were miraculously still standing... SO I HAVE HOPE. Perhaps misguided hope, but they will have to pry it from my cold dead hands.

Season 6 is lots of wacky space adventures (there may be an episode where Jemma and Daisy accidentally get high on space snacks), but the entire plot of season 7 is traveling back in time to save the world. They hit a bunch of different decades and royally screw up the timeline. It's GREAT. (Additional awesome thing: Daisy gets a bit of happiness! And more pain, of course... you know how this show is.) And omg dorky teacher Coulson was one of my favorite bits from the Framework. His little file of things that didn't make sense — and the SOAP. So good.

I am always here for the geeking out. Heck yes.

I am all for them getting a chance to talk, and open to whatever we both find interesting.

Old Peggy, younger Peggy, AUs whatever is all good!

Yesss, excellent. I recently rewatched both seasons of Agent Carter so I could fully appreciate the ways Sousa's character developed in the time between AC s2 and SHIELD s7, and I'd forgotten just how incredible the show was. The dynamic between him and Peggy was so good and they both deserved better than what canon put them through.

Well, I won't argue that at all. I haven't rewatched it all in about 6 or 7 months. I should do it again. And I admit the only episodes of AoS I saw were ones with her or Sif.

I love AoS but I blame no one for not watching it. It may have some of the best story arcs in all of television, but there were some real rough patches in there too, and seven seasons is a lot to get through.

But basically, Team SHIELD pulled Sousa out of 1955 (when Simmons impersonated Peggy and Sousa was not impressed) and he joined them on time travel adventures to save the world from space robots. In the process, he fell for Daisy Johnson, confirming that his type is Strong Women who refuse to ever back down from the good fight.

There are lots of little moments that hint that he never really got closure with Peggy back in his time, from nervously fixing his hair before meeting her imposter to commenting that there are people he'd give a lot to have a few last stolen moments with, so I'd kind of love to give him that in some form. Plus, whatever else we might come up with.

Coulson pulled a Bladerunner on the old lady! OMG that is outstanding. Sorry, I have some very deep and abiding love for that film.

I am absolutely on board with all of this. Daniel was such a great part of the team and his character arc in the show made me cry more than once.

YES the Bladerunner reference made me do a doubletake because it is one of my favorite movies of all time. I love how he was so apologetic after the woman was horrified.

Daniel was always just such a genuinely good guy, he only deserved good things and seemed to keep getting the short end of the stick instead. I will forever be grateful to the AoS team for deciding to rescue him and giving him a happy ending on a different show in a different century. Who could have seen that happening?! But it works so well, and he really is pure gold in his episodes. I highly recommend checking them out if you ever get the chance, even if you skip all the rest of the series. The SHIELD team really accepts him, supports him, and considers him part of the family by the end of the all too short season.

BUT, back to the original point. The easiest way to get these two back together would be more time travel shenanigans, which could easily be explained by something weird happening while he's out in space with his new team. (Because yep, that's where he ends up, traveling the universe on a spaceship. Pretty big jump from traditional espionage in the 1950s.)

It's one of mine as well, you might say I am quite taken with it.

I'll make it a point to hunt up those episodes and watch then, I always like good recommendations.

Time travel is great for letting things happen, would you prefer she move forward or he goes back?

Oh yes, I believe you might be a slight fan. With excellent taste, of course.

Ooh, that's a tough choice. Both pose fun opportunities, especially if set after Daniel "died" in 1955 (they staged his death to match what's in SHIELD history books). How is he alive? Who killed him? (It was Hydra and Peggy can't know that.) What the heck is going on and, hey, why isn't he limping anymore?

I'm slightly leaning toward him going back, but if you have a strong preference, I'm open to either. Also open to however you'd like to handle the Endgame ending, I know most Peggy players have an Opinion on it, whether it be for or against.

I am fine with him doing the traveling, quite gentlemanly of him too.

I do have opinions on Endgame, but since I also separate RP from actual things I need to worry about, I like to write things that I enjoy. I enjoy Peggy and Daniel quite a lot and would love to see them be able to have some sort of emotional closure how ever that comes about.

Regardless of Endgame, Daniel would always be an important person to her, I think we started to see things being developed there and it would be nice to see where things could potentially go in any respect.

I love your very diplomatic way of putting that. I wholeheartedly agree with focusing on things one enjoys rather than all the rest of it.

Peggy would always be important to him as well, so I'm glad we share that view. When would you prefer to have things set? AC s2 was... 1947ish, iirc, and Daniel was killed/rescued on July 22, 1955. We could either do something after that, or if you'd prefer more confusion than angst and heartache, something before that in those eightish years between. Both offer interesting possibilities.

So much good potential in both options. I think maybe confusion might be easier if we're new to each other it might be easier and we can hit up something more angsty later if we have fun.
