ENABLEMEPLZ meme goes up on the last Saturday of every month FOR GAME ADS: ➤ Put an ad up with the characters / crew / pairings / fetish you want for your game under the correct game header. This meme is primarily going to be focused on DWRP games but IJ and LJ games are allowed. ➤ PLEASE NOTE A RULE CHANGE HERE. ABSOLUTELY NO obnoxious coding (no font size > size 4 or 3 "big" tags, no oversized banners (they must be 250px in height or less), no blinking text, no obnoxious table html that doesn't collapse easily, no sparklies, no large pictures). Use all the colors you like, but please remember 3 "big" tags is the limit and that's only for headers or title text rather than for all the text in an ad. FOR GAME QUESTIONS: ➤ RPers interested in a game can create a header for the game and ask questions about that game that aren't easy to find on faqs, such as the actual pace vs. what's listed/what kind of plots are run/if the game leans more towards plotty or slice of life/if a game leans more towards network or logs, etc. Both anon questions and anon answers are welcome in this section just like in the rest of the meme. ➤ This thread is not for speaking about wank or drama in a game. There are anoncomms that exist for that. This thread is specifically for general questions about a game that rpers want to get perspective on from players already in the game. Answers can be slightly negative (such as saying app response is slow or that the plots are repetitive or similar things) but this should at least be worded politely. Unnecessary vitriol, any mention of personal drama or wank, or mod teams/individual mods/players being singled out, will be either frozen or screened (based on what seems right based on the content). FOR CHARACTER ADS: ➤ Put up an ad about the characters you are offering. For PSL ads, there is a separate subthread but for character ads for games, post directly to the meme post. Others will comment to you with the games/casts they want you to join. ➤ There is a "Find a Castmate" section, where you can talk about a cast you play in at a game, and try to lure people to join it. Not all games post to the meme or have a "wanted" section, so players that want to tempt people to their cast on their own can use this section for it. Please format this the same as the PSL section, where you post your character's canons in your subject. For the actual text of the ad you must use the "Find a Castmate" form provided at the bottom of this post so that these ads don't get huge. When listing who's currently in a cast, please do this in sentence form (with commas) rather than in list form. ➤ There is a "Find Crosscanon" section, where you can talk about a character you play and and desired crosscanon for that character. Please make sure this is not too generalized a search, because just wanting general crosscanon can be accomplished with the other sections of the meme. This is for specific characters or character types you're looking for. In the subject, please list the "Looking for [canon you're looking for]" rather than your character's canon. If looking for a character type, list the character type in as few words as possible. Do not make the subject huge or I'll screen your comment. For the actual text of the ad you must use the "Find Crosscanon" form provided at the bottom of this post so that these ads don't get huge. This section is only for game crosscanon as in the psl section people can list their preferences. ➤ Examples of crosscanon you can search for: You play The Flash from DC Comics and your dream CR is fellow speedster Quicksilver from Marvel. Or you might play a witch and want cr with other witches in general. Or maybe you play a good character messed up by evil parents and want to play against a villain character you know has evil parents, because you know it'd lead to some interesting negative CR. ➤ ABSOLUTELY NO obnoxious coding, with the same rules as the Game Ads Section above. ➤ If you're recommending a game to someone, try to match your suggestion to their needs. It's okay if part of your game rec is copy-pasted (such as what the game's about), but at least some part of the rec must be personalized to their ad. Try not to recommend the same game to every single ad, either. Ad spam that isn't individualized in some way will also be frozen or screened. Keep in mind this needs to be more specific than "this game has easy AC like you're asking for but meets none of your other requirements." Make sure you're advertising games that might click with that specific character, where a few elements fit what they're looking for. - crosscanon CR. Getting to bounce characters from different canons against each other is great even if I'm not familiar with the other character's canon. Crosscanon CR/ships is practically my lifeblood at this point.
- AU. Concepts we can have multiple threads of, create an overarching story with, and hopefully be entertained by for a long time to come. Open to one-offs too, but def prefer long-term PSL stuff.

- ships: 18+, m/m. I enjoy writing rough sex, and with Sid it's the number 1 flavor
- shippy scenarios: soulmates, bodyguarding, xeno/interspecies, reincarnation®aining memories, enemies to lovers, abo dynamics, marriage of convenience, tank&healer or tank&dps dynamics, tank vs tank action to see who tops, single dad trying to get a date, immortal&mortal romance
- gen scenarios: gen soulmates, forgotten childhood friends that meet years later, noir/detectives, supernatural creature hunters, cyberpunk, adventuring/roadtripping, partners in crime, urban fantasy, enemies to friends, strangers forced to work together and eventually become best friends, found family

- other job NPCs? I came across a few last year, and I'd like to get in touch again
- other FFXIVs are okay too but I'm more into satisfying my want for crosscanon (but if there are Yugiris, Lucias or Ysayles out there, that's an immediate "yes" and "ship pls")
- fully original OCs are okay
- honestly, if I know the canon, I can drop him wholesale into it with own canon memories intact, or AU into it if that's your jam

I love crosscanon CR! I love AUs! I love Sid, but he's difficult to work with in 99% of OU situations because he literally only cares about two living people, so I'd rather satisfy my desires for all three in one fell cleave swoop.

hello! i'm also biiiiiig into AUs (my EMP comment here) and thirst for crosscanon. i am especially interested in xeno/interspecies + single dad trying to get a date + abo dynamics all at once. i have an OC in a sci-fi universe, which Sidurgu could be an alien in! separately, i have Noiz from DMMD who is really good for bodyguarding or enemies to lovers.

if you're not too into them, let me know what other plots you'd be into/a meme scenario you're interested in and i can easily dig around for someone suitable!

and i'm down w sid looking for a fwb, but that time of the year/month/quarter/SOMETHING happens pretty soon and he didn't account for it. what do you prefer he ming to be? i can work with sid being either alpha or omega

You say crosscanon, I say hello! Clear here is a bundle of oddities that roughly boils down to "friendly badass moron with self-worth issues because he's a robot". It's very easy to make him fixate on other characters for stubbornly absurd cr and I enjoy throwing him against a wide variety of other personalities.

Cyberpunk comes by default given his canon, and I love both soulmates and strangers forced to work together. He's very easy to ship provided even a little bit of chemistry, too! Longterm psls are my lifeblood so I'd love to swap ideas and see if we could mesh. c:

i think his tendency to easily fixate is good for keeping up with sid bc he's so grumpy and hates others so much.

i'm not overly familiar w/ dmmd though so i might not be able to au him into it completely BUT yes pls to cyberpunk+soulmates. i think it could be a nice combo to play off of given what cyberpunk tends to be like. sid might not even believe soulmates are real, like an urban legend

Clear is very easy to AU himself given that he doesn't even exist for long before his canon starts. If it'd be easier to invent some kind of cyberpunk AU from the ground up, that's a route I'm happy to go! You can have any cyberpunk setup you crave and Clear can drop into it.

Urban legend soulmates are the best kind. I love being able to play with the ideas of "yes you're bonded to this person but that doesn't automatically force you to like/love them". Clear canonically has a "heart" that other machines of his kind don't so adding a soul into that is simple, as is making his fixation be a side effect of said bond.

which i think would add another layer to their dymanic maybe? sid just wondering if he should call clear a person and start hating him solely on that basis, or sticking to clear being an android in his eyes and therefore still being fine with him

Oooh! Out of the many story variants I've played with Clear, I've yet to have one where he's considered BETTER because he's a machine! I'd enjoy seeing his reaction to that, when his insecurities usually stem from not being human.

So generally speaking I tend to playing soulbonds as kind of a sixth-sense feeling of attachment to the other person with no other concrete evidence for it. Leaves more room for confusion/denial of the bond than verses that use tattoos, glows, whatever. (But if you enjoy any of those other tropes, just say so!) Clear can easily confuse that feeling with 'this person is Master!' and gain persistent tagalong status whether Sid wants it of him or not.

As for the other part: if you dropped Sid wholesale into your ideal cyberpunk AU, what would it be like? When robots have the potential to be everywhere, Clear is probably easier to mold to Sid than vice versa.

i can run with the soulbond having no physical evidence, more fuel to make sid grumpy as to why he keeps ending up near clear when he's moving without thinking

i kind of like the style that metal gear revengeance has going on tbh, even if it's not totally cyberpunk, but do i love me some deus ex. and lbr there can always be robots for clear to exist in that verse, otherwise what's the point? there can be androids, cyborgs, people with other kinds of augments, sid could have grafts for his scales, or he could be a designer baby, the sky's the limit.

Then throwing Clear at him can honestly be as simple as just, bam, walking around and insistent robot falls in step and won't leave. Clear's a tough fighter so he can tag among in more actiony plots as well.

So this sort of play, do you prefer something like a musebox / journal threading? Or starting on memes? Something else entirely?
