August EMP Meme
FOR GAME ADS: ➤ Put an ad up with the characters / crew / pairings / fetish you want for your game under the correct game header. This meme is primarily going to be focused on DWRP games but IJ and LJ games are allowed. ➤ PLEASE NOTE A RULE CHANGE HERE. ABSOLUTELY NO obnoxious coding (no font size > size 4 or 3 "big" tags, no oversized banners (they must be 250px in height or less), no blinking text, no obnoxious table html that doesn't collapse easily, no sparklies, no large pictures). Use all the colors you like, but please remember 3 "big" tags is the limit and that's only for headers or title text rather than for all the text in an ad. FOR GAME QUESTIONS: ➤ RPers interested in a game can create a header for the game and ask questions about that game that aren't easy to find on faqs, such as the actual pace vs. what's listed/what kind of plots are run/if the game leans more towards plotty or slice of life/if a game leans more towards network or logs, etc. Both anon questions and anon answers are welcome in this section just like in the rest of the meme. ➤ This thread is not for speaking about wank or drama in a game. There are anoncomms that exist for that. This thread is specifically for general questions about a game that rpers want to get perspective on from players already in the game. Answers can be slightly negative (such as saying app response is slow or that the plots are repetitive or similar things) but this should at least be worded politely. Unnecessary vitriol, any mention of personal drama or wank, or mod teams/individual mods/players being singled out, will be either frozen or screened (based on what seems right based on the content). FOR CHARACTER ADS: ➤ Put up an ad about the characters you are offering. For PSL ads, there is a separate subthread but for character ads for games, post directly to the meme post. Others will comment to you with the games/casts they want you to join. ➤ There is a "Find a Castmate" section, where you can talk about a cast you play in at a game, and try to lure people to join it. Not all games post to the meme or have a "wanted" section, so players that want to tempt people to their cast on their own can use this section for it. Please format this the same as the PSL section, where you post your character's canons in your subject. For the actual text of the ad you must use the "Find a Castmate" form provided at the bottom of this post so that these ads don't get huge. When listing who's currently in a cast, please do this in sentence form (with commas) rather than in list form. ➤ There is a "Find Crosscanon" section, where you can talk about a character you play and and desired crosscanon for that character. Please make sure this is not too generalized a search, because just wanting general crosscanon can be accomplished with the other sections of the meme. This is for specific characters or character types you're looking for. In the subject, please list the "Looking for [canon you're looking for]" rather than your character's canon. If looking for a character type, list the character type in as few words as possible. Do not make the subject huge or I'll screen your comment. For the actual text of the ad you must use the "Find Crosscanon" form provided at the bottom of this post so that these ads don't get huge. This section is only for game crosscanon as in the psl section people can list their preferences. ➤ Examples of crosscanon you can search for: You play The Flash from DC Comics and your dream CR is fellow speedster Quicksilver from Marvel. Or you might play a witch and want cr with other witches in general. Or maybe you play a good character messed up by evil parents and want to play against a villain character you know has evil parents, because you know it'd lead to some interesting negative CR. ➤ ABSOLUTELY NO obnoxious coding, with the same rules as the Game Ads Section above. ➤ If you're recommending a game to someone, try to match your suggestion to their needs. It's okay if part of your game rec is copy-pasted (such as what the game's about), but at least some part of the rec must be personalized to their ad. Try not to recommend the same game to every single ad, either. Ad spam that isn't individualized in some way will also be frozen or screened. Keep in mind this needs to be more specific than "this game has easy AC like you're asking for but meets none of your other requirements." Make sure you're advertising games that might click with that specific character, where a few elements fit what they're looking for. You should be thinking about the story reasons of how the character might click with the game. IN GENERAL: ➤ Don't be a dick. [game info]: Premise, FAQ, Moonblessings (magical optional animal traits and powers characters can get at various points in the month, kinda like a Hogwarts House or so, but wilder)
Prismatica is a large, somewhat fast-paced, but remarkably flexible, sex-positive game, set on an alien planet where our characters' physical touch with each other generates energy that is used as currency and slowly helps to restore the balance of the planet. This touch can be sexual or just friendly. For example, at this early point in the game, I'm not playing Zuko's sex life whatsoever, and he'll get by just fine acquiring enough of this touch-based energy to live comfortably anyway.
So far I'm basically intending this game to serve as an opportunity to grant Zuko the mundane teenage life he was never afforded — and all of the regular teenage crises that come with that, quite different from all his other crises at home, so still world-shaking. I'd love some castmates to develop these formative, experimental, youthful experiences together! ♥ They all deserve this comparatively peaceful but still totally wild life as normal kids!

I, on the other hand, am actually a Netflix baby!! New Generation fan! I have no excuse or reason for sleeping on this show for the past decade, lmao. But I'm so on board now, haha. idk Zuko must have roused something deep within me that prompted me to pick up role-playing again, I'd quit for a few years but used to be pro too, back in the golden days, hah. So I'm definitely running on that fresh adrenaline so far~ Studying up and rewatching carefully consistently, lots of notes taken!! But I haven't finished reading all the comics yet, just read the one about Ursa as soon as I finished my first watch of the show. And of course the comics can rise higher on my to-do list now, ha, so at least I would understand Azula's older psychology better if you do bring her in... SO this would be an especially fresh raw experience in many ways, haha, which I think is very exciting but ngl intimidating haha, just like Azula should be... :v
all that said, I've pulled him from the very night before Sozin's Comet and the coup. So he came in a panic attack like "am I absent, what if Aang and the Fatherlord defeat each other, Is Azula Fire Lord, Is Azula Fire Lord, Is Azula Fire Lord..." so he's been thinking a lot about u already, gurl c: even in his dreams lol
as to moonblessings, I'm gonna have fun playing with this I think. he just got accepted into the game this month (even though I played him on the TDM all of July too, keeping those experiences canon in-game and handwaving a couple weeks, so he's effectively been here two months); so September coming now, I can do something more with the moonblessings at last. It's sooo flexible, you can honestly do anything you want to any degree, within the given lines. so naturally I want to humiliate and torture Zuko psychologically. :) beartimes will be funtimes...~

I’m excited to be part of the Avatar bandwagon, thank you for being so welcoming! It is intimidating coming in to an old very popular fandom with such a beloved character, higher expectations of the player than most I think, compared to minor character or unpopular series I’m used to playing from. So far I’ve been told I’m on the mark, and I’m having a blast, so lol just gonna blaze forward, ha~ 🔥
Lol bear Zuko is just gonna be miserable and adorable. He’s already become best friends with Gokudera from Katekyo Hitman Reborn, and only Gokudera is allowed to touch him as a bear lol. Korra and Asami can SEE him. And otherwise that’s it. He’d be mortified if Azula saw him. Mortified. So obvs we’d have to make it happen if you end up amongst us haha~
But nah no pressure as much as I want to pressure you hahaha~ I totally get not wanting to overload yourself, esp since we’re both jumping back in recently. I’m playing another character at Prisma and ever since Zuko got accepted, he’s been neglected lol. Muse protection services need to intervene, I’m a negligent player lol. It’s hard to juggle even in the same game! But by all means at least just for gits and shiggles, I’d love to play with you in a lil TDM thread, even if you don’t end up applying for real. We could still get a lot of the same gratification from it and I don’t abandon threads, typically, so we can milk it ehehe. I also like keeping the TDM canon so even if it’s just one thread for funsies, Zuko can still remember “that time Azula came for one afternoon wtf.” The more brain breaking the better lol.
I’m going for a certain KIND of misery for Zuko in this game... I want to give him the normal happy teenage life he never got the chance to try for. But also none of his experiences overlap with that and trauma coping mechanisms don’t work on this kind of normal mundane pain. So life will be more peaceful outwardly but not inwardly lol. I want him to have his first heartbreak, a jealous love triangle, a shitty job, to struggle to fit in with kids his age and embarrass himself missing social cues, get confused crushing on a friend cuz he’s poorly socialized and can’t discern those feelings easily, get drunk for the first/second/third time lol, get under different people’s influences for better or worse, all of it... The visceral human pain of being sixteen lol. Remove him from his trauma and just. place him into different trauma. But with more silver

THE NORMAL THINGS hurt so much. that's what I'm here at Prisma to do to him, torture him with unfamiliar happiness lol... he can be a ~*~real boy~*~ here haha, for all that entails... being 16 is its own trauma lol. so basically, i'm serving slice-of-life zuko having a perpetual genki-flavored existential crisis. sound like your kinda vibe lol...~? c: ♥
also no actually tho, he needs Iroh's help and supervision, he is in a bad crowd with the Host Club. there are really terrifying plans in the making. Iroh would not let Zuko live in this environment if he saw the luxurious squalor they live in, no one can cook or clean, they grocery shop at 7/11, zuko's so inept yet made to be the responsible one because the hosts are setting things on fire and flooding the place, sometimes deliberately, i-it's an actual hazardous environment... they need a grown-up in the worst way lmao. please, uncle.

With any great triumph and stride forward there will always come equally difficult obstacles and setbacks. It is great that he is learning what it is like to be a normal teenager, and that his heart is capable of feeling such things. It's proof that it has not become jaded and cold.
Though it does sound like a bit of guidance and supervision would be a very helpful thing indeed.

Legit tho I think this would be a very gratifying setting for a character like Iroh. The warmth and connection and value of physical touch with the Chroma seems right up his alley. It doesn’t HAVE to be a sex game. Certainly not for my lil crispito, he’s not ready lol. He has one friend who also hates touching that he’s made like a chroma pact with and... well, you’ll see if you bring him in, lol, they’ll meet for sure. c; and likely tag you in the TDM I imagine hehe ☆ this is very exciting!
