FOR GAME ADS: ➤ Put an ad up with the characters / crew / pairings / fetish you want for your game under the correct game header. This meme is primarily going to be focused on DWRP games but IJ and LJ games are allowed. ➤ PLEASE NOTE A RULE CHANGE HERE. ABSOLUTELY NO obnoxious coding (no font size > size 4 or 3 "big" tags, no oversized banners (they must be 250px in height or less), no blinking text, no obnoxious table html that doesn't collapse easily, no sparklies, no large pictures). Use all the colors you like, but please remember 3 "big" tags is the limit and that's only for headers or title text rather than for all the text in an ad. FOR GAME QUESTIONS: ➤ RPers interested in a game can create a header for the game and ask questions about that game that aren't easy to find on faqs, such as the actual pace vs. what's listed/what kind of plots are run/if the game leans more towards plotty or slice of life/if a game leans more towards network or logs, etc. Both anon questions and anon answers are welcome in this section just like in the rest of the meme. ➤ This thread is not for speaking about wank or drama in a game. There are anoncomms that exist for that. This thread is specifically for general questions about a game that rpers want to get perspective on from players already in the game. Answers can be slightly negative (such as saying app response is slow or that the plots are repetitive or similar things) but this should at least be worded politely. Unnecessary vitriol, any mention of personal drama or wank, or mod teams/individual mods/players being singled out, will be either frozen or screened (based on what seems right based on the content). FOR CHARACTER ADS: ➤ Put up an ad about the characters you are offering. For PSL ads, there is a separate subthread but for character ads for games, post directly to the meme post. Others will comment to you with the games/casts they want you to join. ➤ There is a "Find a Castmate" section, where you can talk about a cast you play in at a game, and try to lure people to join it. Not all games post to the meme or have a "wanted" section, so players that want to tempt people to their cast on their own can use this section for it. Please format this the same as the PSL section, where you post your character's canons in your subject. For the actual text of the ad you must use the "Find a Castmate" form provided at the bottom of this post so that these ads don't get huge. When listing who's currently in a cast, please do this in sentence form (with commas) rather than in list form. ➤ There is a "Find Crosscanon" section, where you can talk about a character you play and and desired crosscanon for that character. Please make sure this is not too generalized a search, because just wanting general crosscanon can be accomplished with the other sections of the meme. This is for specific characters or character types you're looking for. In the subject, please list the "Looking for [canon you're looking for]" rather than your character's canon. If looking for a character type, list the character type in as few words as possible. Do not make the subject huge or I'll screen your comment. For the actual text of the ad you must use the "Find Crosscanon" form provided at the bottom of this post so that these ads don't get huge. This section is only for game crosscanon as in the psl section people can list their preferences. ➤ Examples of crosscanon you can search for: You play The Flash from DC Comics and your dream CR is fellow speedster Quicksilver from Marvel. Or you might play a witch and want cr with other witches in general. Or maybe you play a good character messed up by evil parents and want to play against a villain character you know has evil parents, because you know it'd lead to some interesting negative CR. ➤ ABSOLUTELY NO obnoxious coding, with the same rules as the Game Ads Section above. ➤ If you're recommending a game to someone, try to match your suggestion to their needs. It's okay if part of your game rec is copy-pasted (such as what the game's about), but at least some part of the rec must be personalized to their ad. Try not to recommend the same game to every single ad, either. Ad spam that isn't individualized in some way will also be frozen or screened. The sound of a crow overhead is what brings you to wake, stirring from a deep sleep that sticks like fog in your head. It's apparent that you're lying flat on mossy rocks amidst the greenery of a lush forest, left to wake and come back to your senses at your leisure. It's idyllic, with clear skies above the tree tops and a waterfall splashing somewhere in the distance.
But in lingering where you are too long, you start to hear twigs snap in a wide circle in the woods around where you rest. An ominous chill settles into your bones as you come to realize you're not alone, and now why would you be? Your memories of home return to you through the haze in your head and you remember that you're not supposed to be here at all.
Just when you think you see the form of a large canine slinking through the woods - a jingle of bells distracts you. A woman is standing nervously at the foot of the large rock you're on, dressed in heavy woolen layers with two long braids. She's holding a basket in her hands and seems just as wary of you as you are of her.
"Greetings," She says with a crack of her voice as her eyes refuse to meet yours. "P-Please come with me. I have collected the other Newcomers, and I'll show you where they are."
Again the bells jingle, coming from a rope around her neck as she turns to walk back toward a path leading into the woods. She trusts you to follow.

The Village » a limited run horror game

A tiny coastal town abandoned and cut off from the rest of the world by an unearthly fog that allows none to pass. Strange storms that rain terror upon all caught in their path. Ominous portents of something approaching, the reason the town was abandoned, and an inescapable fate that awaits unless answers are uncovered in what was left behind.
The Village is a horror game not for the faint of heart. Designed as a limited run game with a fixed ending in which characters may alter their own outcome, the game focuses on the eerie and unsettling, and provides opportunities for all to investigate the mystery of what happened to Mathias Township… and what is happening to them.
This small game relies heavily on meaningful character interactions and player willingness to explore the psychological depths of their character. Our autumn test drive is small but mighty, and reserves and applications are always open. We also have a shiny new EMP/AMA post for prospective players.

As social media makes every ounce of pain and suffering visible to everyone in the world and makes strides toward a greater, more just world, it also gives rise to equal amounts of hatred, lies, and knowledge. A group known as the Knights of the New World works for years toward finding a way to end this suffering and bring the world to peace. With access to all the world's knowledge, they find secrets and means to find that which lies in legend: The sword Excalibur, deep within the ocean where none would have been able to find it for thousands and thousands of years.
The Knights of the New World take this artifact, one of the few remnants of magic left in the world, and after a fierce battle, manage to capture a large hadron collider, intentionally creating a black hole and infusing it with the power of Excalibur, shredding the fabric of reality that separates the multiverse. They have succeeded in ending not just their world, but all worlds.
All except for the one protected by the very magics that gave birth to Excalibur in the first place: the Isle of Avalon, the final resting place of the Once and Future King. A remnant of Camelot frozen in a timeless universe, developed over centuries outside of time itself for the day when the world once again needed him. A modern, new Camelot now draws in people from throughout the multiverse to work together with King Arthur to save all of our worlds.
The problem is: Avalon's magic is all but gone with the efforts to stop time before Caliburn's Collision and draw in those who can save everyone from their spots in now-frozen timelines. You will need to restore magic to this protected land and quest across realms to find that which is needed to strip Excalibur of its magic and stop the multiverse from being obliterated.

Liburutegia | A Panfandom, Fairytale-Inspired Horror Game
There are no world-ending monstrosities, no inter-dimensional science projects, no conscious use of magic. There's simply a moment, frozen in time, a person - you - who is unique enough to be noteworthy, and a dusty, old library.
A liminal space.
A space betwixt and between the familiar and the completely unknown. A time between the 'what was' and the 'next.'
The Library exists between worlds, in no true space of its own, and contains the sum of all knowledge across every universe, both extant and yet-to-be. It is the home of stories. The world of worlds. The multiverse itself. It is both new and old, but as is the way with places, with items containing such age and power, it's taken on a life of its own, in a way. It won't speak to you, but it is very, very alive.
And it is concerned.
You see, when a story is told over, and over, and over, and over, ad infinitum, it is subject to changing, to transforming. When a story enters the consciousness of the many, it is difficult to remember where it began. Pages can tear. Words can be worn off the paper after hundreds, thousands of hands touching them. Narratives can change after millions upon millions of voices speak them. And so, some books in the library have begun to fade. Pages have gone blank. Soon, only the derivatives - and the derivatives of derivatives - will be left.
The Library is a powerful existence, but it cannot write. It can; however, place characters onto a page. It can; however, remember roughly how a story is supposed to go. It can; however, force a cast into their given roles, and record what occurs.
And so, it can restore its stories, one at a time.
Liburutegia is a panfandom, fairytale-inspired game with elements of psychological and body horror during events. It is set in the mysterious Library itself, and character actions during story events will have a direct impact on the outcome of the stories themselves, but a negligible impact on the library as a whole. Outside of events, the game has the potential to have a slice of life feel in an unsettling, liminal space.

It could happen at any point, anywhere: glancing into a reflective surface steals you away from your home.
You're left dreaming and paralyzed; there's fire and the slow-creep of dread across your awareness. There's the feeling of being watched.
When you awake, you're soaked through with salt water, lying face down in sand... The sun is just coming up, but that light doesn't help you feel any less horrified and unsettled. The lighthouse, a ways off, makes you feel even worse, sick to your stomach somehow...
There are other people on the beach, in various states of rest or wake, like you. You feel a sort of kinship with them already... Maybe you can hunt for answers together... You find that the grasp of their hand in yours puts a calm into your soul, just a little.
Strange Aeons is a game based on the roguelite game called World of Horror; five Old Gods are dueling for the chance to rule the crux you find yourself in.
Rendered sick from their influence, player characters must band together to survive ordeal after ordeal. A different God winning a bout will rule over the town for a time, and the rules of the place will change accordingly.
Characters are sorted into one of three Covens, the origins of which are unknown. Their Covens grant power, safety, comrades, and yet more questions.
This game is all about: cosmic horror, body horror, suspense, gore and violence, with a touch of mystery.

It's a day like any other day, until you pick something up and feel an otherwordly tug in your belly and the world around you begins to spin- or is it you that's spinning? Before you know it, you're crashing face first into the ground. Dazed, disoriented and feeling slightly ill, you pick yourself up and look around. You appear to be in the middle of a rolling, grassy hillscape somewhere in the countryside and even stranger still, you realize you're holding a stick in place of what you had been reaching for just moments before.
Before you can even begin to ponder further, you hear a series of thunderous cracks all around you as cloaked figures begin to appear, one after the other. They start to close in, all of them spouting something about the usage of an "Unauthorized Portkey" as they point their sticks at you.
One of them murmurs something you don't quite catch, but as soon as they say it the stick you're holding flies out of your hand. Another one of them speaks and the next thing you know, you're being struck in the chest by a jet of red light before everything goes dark.
Hundreds of miles away, behind a locked door atop a secret tower inside Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, a quill sleepily lifts itself out of its inkwell as a thick, impossibly old book falls open next to it. The quill begins to write a name.
Your name.
Portus Novus is a panfandom RP set in the magical world of Harry Potter, where your character will attend Hogwarts School of Witchraft and Wizardry. The year is 1984, a mere 3 years after the fall of the dark lord, Voldemort. A peace has fallen over the Wizarding World following his demise, though some of his most fiercely loyal followers remain at large.
It's revealed soon after arriving that your character is a Witch or Wizard.
Not only that, but the amount of raw, suppressed magical power inside of you is usually only observed in the darkest, most dangerous of creatures; an Obscurial. The Ministry of Magic fears that unless your magic is nurtured and allowed to flourish, you could turn into one of these abominations. Just one Obscurial is enough to cause irreparable damage, and with the vast number of unauthorized portkeys popping up over the country bringing individuals from other worlds just like you, the Ministry simply cannot let that happen.
You're given a letter that reads:
Until the Ministry of Magic can investigate your arrival and figure out how to reverse the process, they ask that you cooperate for the safety of everyone. They assure you that the Department of Mysteries is actively looking into it, starting with a thorough examination of the wand that you were holding upon arrival.
While you wait for answers, the owner of an inn located in the small village of Hogsmeade, just outside of Hogwarts School of Witchraft and wizardry, has agreed to put you up until the start of term. A warm bed, a cozy atmosphere and free butterbeer are just what you need to settle down after such a long ordeal.

This world has not yet been made. It lacks in substance, in meaning, in laws and ideals that would give it purpose. It is a world of emptiness that yearns to be filled, a blank canvas waiting for the touch of an artist's pen.
And then there is you—something so full of substance, meaning, ideal, purpose. You are everything this world desires, and so, here you are.
Do not try to understand how you came here, or why it was you out of so many others. This world does not yet have those answers. Only you, the essence of infinite potential, may decide what those answers will be. This is your story, your world, and there's still much work to be done.
Tabula Rasa is a panfandom roleplaying game set in a completely empty and featureless world—at first, that is. As characters arrive they bring with them imprints of their own worlds, shaping the setting around them. What kind of world it becomes and what direction the games goes in is completely up to the characters that inhabit it.
The game will include elements that encourage exploration, character growth, and a high degree of player control and freedom, as well as opportunities for existential and body horror. Literally anything can be changed with enough influence, including broader game mechanics and the characters themselves. Events will be a mix of genres, ranging from horror and survival to crack and slice of life, though ultimately the content of events will depend on the game's current characters.

In Wonderland, characters are encouraged to lose themselves in their desires and even discover new ones. Despite the game’s lighthearted nature, however, it will contain some dark/horror themes, because after all, for every dream, there is a nightmare.

The Drift Fleet was renowned across the galaxy as the intergalactic reality show to follow. For centuries people have been taken away from their homes, pulled from multiple universes and from multiple times, and watched like a bug under glass for the amusement of faceless aliens. But what was entertainment for some was hope to another - for one race desperately needing help, The Drift Fleet was an answered prayer. For you it will be the start of a whole new adventure.
Where is this planet? Well, no one is quite sure of that, yet. When you arrive, you encounter a glowing orb that harmlessly downloads information directly into your mind. What you learn from it is this:
This planet is now home for you. Centuries have passed since anyone has been able to live here, though. Agra 10 is a dying world thanks to inexplicable and debilitating energy storms that have destroyed everything in their paths, including the Agrii people. Once, this proud race of millions had a thriving world full of advanced and sophisticated technology. The storms cut that number down to hundreds, huddled together in the heart of their capital, Temba.
That is where you are now.
The Agrii are now gone and Temba is the most intact area left (which says a lot about the rest of the planet). The orb is a Data Point left by the departing aliens to tell their story. But how did you get here? Why are you here? What are you supposed to be doing?
That is all for you to discover. The Agrii’s hope and your own survival is now in your hands. This isn’t a show anymore. It’s not a game.
No, but really. What is this game?
The Revival Project is a jamjar game that picks up after The Drift Fleet concludes. While it is a spin-off game, it is only loosely connected to the plot there and anyone can join regardless of their presence in The Drift Fleet. NO prior knowledge of The Drift Fleet is necessary to play.
From what you’ve discovered so far, your character has been brought to Agra 10, a destroyed planet that has been abandoned for centuries. You will soon learn that your mission here is to rebuild the capital city and the rest of this once-proud world. The Agrii, who remain off-world, have found that outsiders are somehow partially immune to the energy storms that massacred their population. Because of this, they will continue to find the best helpers from every universe to bring here. Lucky you are among those chosen.
In addition to rebuilding the planet, there is another task you must undertake. After all of the chaos that has splintered them for decades, the Agrii no longer fully understand what it means to be part of a community. Watching The Drift Fleet was the only lesson they had to help them relearn how to function as a cohesive society once more. So while you work together and even (eventually) travel to distant worlds, know that you have fans watching and learning from your every move. And don’t be surprised if they even reach out (although their English leaves much to be desired).
TRP is structured as a slice-of-life, adventure, and survival game where you have the opportunity to pick whichever of those elements you wish and avoid those that you do not. Whichever path your character travels here is entirely up to you.
As the game progresses, events will uncover larger and perhaps surprising truths about your new home and the race that brought you here. Not all is what it seems. There will be plenty of opportunity to take advantage of the setting; how you do so is yours to decide.

VOIDTRECKER EXPRESS
You come to on a hazy railway platform, wearing an unfamiliar uniform, with a rucksack of supplies and a strange watch-like device around your wrist. There is a ticket in your hand you don't remember purchasing, and strangers beside you, each in the same uniform, with the same ticket and the same gear.
... and then the smoke clears, and a jet-black steam train rolls into the station. The whistle sounds; the doors open, inviting you to board.
Travelling through the spaces in-between, the gaps in the fabric of reality, the veil between worlds. This is the Voidtrecker Express. Heroes from every world imaginable find themselves plucked from their lives, their homes and placed on a platform at the edge of the void. Waiting for a train. A train that will take them where they are needed the most.
One of those heroes, for good or ill, is you.

Voidtrecker Express is a panfandom role-playing game set on an interdimensional train. Characters travel through a multi-coloured ever-changing void to different worlds where they are needed, while struggling to unravel the mystery of the Express's journey. The game runs in 1:2 (IC:OOC) time and events are monthly, alternating between missions on the different worlds and events on the train. Due to the world-hopping nature of the game, events incorporate a variety of genres and settings.
The test drive meme will go up on the 15th November. Reserves will open on the 19th, and apps are open between the 21st and the 29th.

Work together for what, you ask? Aside from having their daily lives consistently monitored, characters will often times find themselves thrown into mini-game scenarios that range from fluffy painless social bingo and speed dating to blood sport marathons with gruesome outcomes for those who are unlucky.
Although new players must bring their first character in as mem-loss while you get used to the system, subsequent characters can be brought in as "auditions," meaning they retain their memories. There's also plenty of other unique game aspects, like fanmail, expansive map-building/area additions, and an ongoing cosmic-war plot that will determine the literal fate of the universe.

Daybreak Academy is a panfandom AU battle school roleplay following the students and teachers of the titular Academy. Ostensibly a rich private school nestled in the French alps, Daybreak is in truth a school for Candles, people who have exhibited growing supernatural abilities, and a collection of misfits who have sought refuge from outside threats or been handed into the Academy’s care. Here, all students are trained to combat the Nightfall, a prophesied time in which the sun will be blotted from the sky and dread monsters of the Outlands will once again roam it, bringing about the end of humanity.
As the darkness encroaches ever further and powerful entities threaten the fragile peace on Earth and the Outlands alike, Daybreak’s students and staff must train and fight diligently to protect the innocent and prepare. As Nightfall draws ever closer, both new threats and new allies appear; who among you will rise to face the potential end of the world?
