FOR GAME ADS:

➤ Put an ad up with the characters / crew / pairings / fetish you want for your game under the correct game header. This meme is primarily going to be focused on DWRP games but IJ and LJ games are allowed.

➤ PLEASE NOTE A RULE CHANGE HERE. ABSOLUTELY NO obnoxious coding (no font size > size 4 or 3 "big" tags, no oversized banners (they must be 250px in height or less), no blinking text, no obnoxious table html that doesn't collapse easily, no sparklies, no large pictures). Use all the colors you like, but please remember 3 "big" tags is the limit and that's only for headers or title text rather than for all the text in an ad.

FOR GAME QUESTIONS:

➤ RPers interested in a game can create a header for the game and ask questions about that game that aren't easy to find on faqs, such as the actual pace vs. what's listed/what kind of plots are run/if the game leans more towards plotty or slice of life/if a game leans more towards network or logs, etc. Both anon questions and anon answers are welcome in this section just like in the rest of the meme.

➤ This thread is not for speaking about wank or drama in a game. There are anoncomms that exist for that. This thread is specifically for general questions about a game that rpers want to get perspective on from players already in the game. Answers can be slightly negative (such as saying app response is slow or that the plots are repetitive or similar things) but this should at least be worded politely. Unnecessary vitriol, any mention of personal drama or wank, or mod teams/individual mods/players being singled out, will be either frozen or screened (based on what seems right based on the content).

FOR CHARACTER ADS:

➤ Put up an ad about the characters you are offering. For PSL ads, there is a separate subthread but for character ads for games, post directly to the meme post. Others will comment to you with the games/casts they want you to join.

➤ There is a "Find a Castmate" section, where you can talk about a cast you play in at a game, and try to lure people to join it. Not all games post to the meme or have a "wanted" section, so players that want to tempt people to their cast on their own can use this section for it. Please format this the same as the PSL section, where you post your character's canons in your subject. For the actual text of the ad you must use the "Find a Castmate" form provided at the bottom of this post so that these ads don't get huge. When listing who's currently in a cast, please do this in sentence form (with commas) rather than in list form.

➤ There is a "Find Crosscanon" section, where you can talk about a character you play and and desired crosscanon for that character. Please make sure this is not too generalized a search, because just wanting general crosscanon can be accomplished with the other sections of the meme. This is for specific characters or character types you're looking for. In the subject, please list the "Looking for [canon you're looking for]" rather than your character's canon. If looking for a character type, list the character type in as few words as possible. Do not make the subject huge or I'll screen your comment. For the actual text of the ad you must use the "Find Crosscanon" form provided at the bottom of this post so that these ads don't get huge. This section is only for game crosscanon as in the psl section people can list their preferences.

➤ Examples of crosscanon you can search for: You play The Flash from DC Comics and your dream CR is fellow speedster Quicksilver from Marvel. Or you might play a witch and want cr with other witches in general. Or maybe you play a good character messed up by evil parents and want to play against a villain character you know has evil parents, because you know it'd lead to some interesting negative CR.

➤ ABSOLUTELY NO obnoxious coding, with the same rules as the Game Ads Section above.

➤ If you're recommending a game to someone, try to match your suggestion to their needs. It's okay if part of your game rec is copy-pasted (such as what the game's about), but at least some part of the rec must be personalized to their ad. Try not to recommend the same game to every single ad, either. Ad spam that isn't individualized in some way will also be frozen or screened. Keep in mind this needs to be more specific than "this game has easy AC like you're asking for but meets none of your other requirements." Make sure you're advertising games that might click with that specific character, where a few elements fit what they're looking for. You should be thinking about the story reasons of how the character might click with the game.

➤ Don't be a dick. This isn't one of the anoncomms, so any snide comments or unnecessary commentary on the RP plans of others will be frozen or screened.

characters I’m looking for: crosscanon is welcome! But as far as canonmates go, the ones who particularly come to mind are:

- for Bull: Dorian, Krem, Solas, Vivienne, whoever you think would play off him in an interesting way
- for Roland: Any main character (or member of his family, on the off chance anyone plays them)
- for Stan: his family, Fiddleford, Soos

preferences:
Bull - I have a page of ideas to get us started talking about what we’d want to do here. (I’m up for doing stuff outside that too, or changing the details on some of those ideas. They’re all just there to get the conversation started.) I’ve also tentatively started an Insanejournal for Bull, so if you have anything interesting going on over there that you’d like him to be a part of, hit me up.

Roland - I’m not nearly so organized with Roland, so we’ll have to figure something out for him organically. I love h/c, and Roland would play well off chatty, high energy characters who need more serious characters to sort of ground them a little. I’m just considering getting back into playing him after taking a break for a while, so I might need a strong plot for anything we do to help my characterization a bit. If anyone out here’s playing someone from his childhood, I’m particularly fond of Roland meeting up with old friends he thought were dead. This includes people who actually were dead - are they an AU version of the person Roland knew? Is this a complete AU where they never actually died? Is this some Tower fuckery? I’m particularly fond of this happening in a modern AU, for some reason, but anything goes.

Stan - Family feels are always pretty fun with him. Playing with his self worth issues is always great, especially when playing against a Ford. Something with a Fiddleford back when they were younger would let me play Stan all jealous of Ford and Fiddleford’s friendship. Or with Soos, something that plays with Stan’s fear of being seen as a father figure would be fun. It’s been a long time since I’ve played Stan and a long time since I’ve canon reviewed, so I’d feel a bit like I was voice testing picking him up again. But he’s so interesting, I’d be happy to.

re: playing out sex - I’m not into threads that revolve around this, I just get bored and don’t want to spend too much of the time focusing on sex, but if it happens to be right for the story I’d be down for getting a little practice writing sex scenes. I’m not looking for something like this with Stan, and with Roland would mostly be interested in exploring how being an asexual (as I play him) who doesn’t know asexuality is even a thing would shape his approach to sex, so don’t expect throes of passion with him or anything. Bull’s probably the one it’s going to be easiest with, possibly with some light BDSM and him (barring an established relationship with Dorian) doing the dom thing.

other notes: I’m mostly looking for long term threads. If we start a thing and life gets in the way or something and you have to go on hiatus for a while, feel free to come back after literally any period of time and chances are good I’ll be happy to RP.

I’d also like to remind people (especially if we’ve RPed together before) that if there’s some specific way I can improve I encourage y’all to let me know. If there’s a change I can make that will help threads go longer and make it a more rewarding experience to RP with me it would do me good to know about it. Thanks!

Hi there, I've got my lady Adaar here for Inquisitor-based shenanigans, and I've got Krem

tevinterpariah for everything else. Reading through your prompts I have some ideas of my own, including but not limited to:

-Krem with a couple of the Chargers after they're presumed lost during Demands, being angry with Bull for turning his back on them
-Either of them sitting with Bull while he's being messed up by the poison
-The Political Shenanigans feat. Bull and his Vints post-canon OR modern au
-Slice of Life which is my bread and goddamn butter for all of them and I've always wanted a wrestling match between Bull and Medjine while they're just hanging around Skyhold
-That tragic "one thinks the other is dead" what extends into Dorian becoming Archon and losing track of Bull after they're separated and eventually one goes searching for the other.
-Pre-canon meeting with Krem when Krem doesn't know much of the Trade tongue but Bull's trying to help him and Krem's trying to help with the eye situation
-sorry I just love bull and want to be able to figure out something that can play out and maybe run over a few threads??? Bc I love long threads and character development.....

Narrowing that down to one idea/one character for us to try first is going to be so hard, because I'm so excited by all of that. The only idea that might not work for me is that first one, only because the way I see a still-in-the-Qun Bull reacting to that might get sadder/darker than I'm up for.

Since you're into long threads too maybe we could incorporate a few of those ideas into one storyline. Would you like to play multiple characters off Bull - like, one character for one thread, and a different character for the next thread even if they're both in the same 'verse' - or would you like to stick to one character? Deciding on that might help us narrow it down.

I think the only real way to un-darken the first idea is that eventually even though in the time after the dreadnought Bull is still part of the Qun, seeing and maybe trying to make amends with the last of the Chargers would still stir the last bit of rebellion he still has in him and it makes joining the Vidassala at the end a less automatic "no and fuck you" but that's still a thing bc he still has that tie outside of the Qun? but yeah up until that point it would be very angtsy and heavy and maybe we can explore that at another time.

I do like the idea of basically wrapping a bunch of ideas into one kind of storyline and letting things flow naturally together. Perhaps a chronological sort of thread progression so it gets fuller/richer by the end? Or honestly whatever hits right at any given time, I'll pause one to hop to another and focus on that story. At the moment I'm super feeling the first meeting with Krem or the easy SoL with Medjine.

Yeah going chronologically (unless/until we're in the mood to do something else) seems like a good idea. I'm up for starting with Bull meeting Krem, since that's the earliest thing, if you are? (Time for me to do a lot more googling about how having one eye would effect fighting skills XD) If you're up for starting with that one, is there anything we should work out about it before getting started?

Canon left it a little bit vague on why Bull was in the area but that's easy enough to fudge given what he does to begin with. Anything else that needs to be worked out as we go we can just pm about it and figure it out form there. I'll link you when I have a starter for that up, unless you have a for sure idea of what you want to do.

The setup being from Krem's point of view makes sense, so that works for me! Thank you, I look forward to doing stuff!
