December EMP Meme
FOR GAME ADS: ➤ Put an ad up with the characters / crew / pairings / fetish you want for your game under the correct game header. This meme is primarily going to be focused on DWRP games but IJ and LJ games are allowed. ➤ PLEASE NOTE A RULE CHANGE HERE. ABSOLUTELY NO obnoxious coding (no font size > size 4 or 3 "big" tags, no oversized banners (they must be 250px in height or less), no blinking text, no obnoxious table html that doesn't collapse easily, no sparklies, no large pictures). Use all the colors you like, but please remember 3 "big" tags is the limit and that's only for headers or title text rather than for all the text in an ad. FOR GAME QUESTIONS: ➤ RPers interested in a game can create a header for the game and ask questions about that game that aren't easy to find on faqs, such as the actual pace vs. what's listed/what kind of plots are run/if the game leans more towards plotty or slice of life/if a game leans more towards network or logs, etc. Both anon questions and anon answers are welcome in this section just like in the rest of the meme. ➤ This thread is not for speaking about wank or drama in a game. There are anoncomms that exist for that. This thread is specifically for general questions about a game that rpers want to get perspective on from players already in the game. Answers can be slightly negative (such as saying app response is slow or that the plots are repetitive or similar things) but this should at least be worded politely. Unnecessary vitriol, any mention of personal drama or wank, or mod teams/individual mods/players being singled out, will be either frozen or screened (based on what seems right based on the content). FOR CHARACTER ADS: ➤ Put up an ad about the characters you are offering. For PSL ads, there is a separate subthread but for character ads for games, post directly to the meme post. Others will comment to you with the games/casts they want you to join. ➤ There is a "Find a Castmate" section, where you can talk about a cast you play in at a game, and try to lure people to join it. Not all games post to the meme or have a "wanted" section, so players that want to tempt people to their cast on their own can use this section for it. Please format this the same as the PSL section, where you post your character's canons in your subject. For the actual text of the ad you must use the "Find a Castmate" form provided at the bottom of this post so that these ads don't get huge. When listing who's currently in a cast, please do this in sentence form (with commas) rather than in list form. ➤ There is a "Find Crosscanon" section, where you can talk about a character you play and and desired crosscanon for that character. Please make sure this is not too generalized a search, because just wanting general crosscanon can be accomplished with the other sections of the meme. This is for specific characters or character types you're looking for. In the subject, please list the "Looking for [canon you're looking for]" rather than your character's canon. If looking for a character type, list the character type in as few words as possible. Do not make the subject huge or I'll screen your comment. For the actual text of the ad you must use the "Find Crosscanon" form provided at the bottom of this post so that these ads don't get huge. This section is only for game crosscanon as in the psl section people can list their preferences. ➤ Examples of crosscanon you can search for: You play The Flash from DC Comics and your dream CR is fellow speedster Quicksilver from Marvel. Or you might play a witch and want cr with other witches in general. Or maybe you play a good character messed up by evil parents and want to play against a villain character you know has evil parents, because you know it'd lead to some interesting negative CR. ➤ ABSOLUTELY NO obnoxious coding, with the same rules as the Game Ads Section above. ➤ If you're recommending a game to someone, try to match your suggestion to their needs. It's okay if part of your game rec is copy-pasted (such as what the game's about), but at least some part of the rec must be personalized to their ad. Try not to recommend the same game to every single ad, either. Ad spam that isn't individualized in some way will also be frozen or screened. Keep in mind this needs to be more specific than "this game has easy AC like you're asking for but meets none of your other requirements." Make sure you're advertising games that might click with that specific character, where a few elements fit what they're looking for. [game info]: Duplicity is a panfandom dystopian sex game that centers around negative traits and the outcome of succumbing to darker urges. Bad behavior is encouraged; events will touch on horror, science fiction, exploration, game plot, and slice of life tossed in when needed. Events contain any of the aforementioned elements and serve to allow characters to further form and/or develop CR. Characters are assigned to be either Dominants or Submissives.
The Up part of the city is the lap of luxury where Dominants reside in their own extravagant apartments and have many opportunities and freedoms to pursue their favored lifestyle. Whereas the Down is home to Submissives who live in communal housing amidst crime and poverty, with very limited freedom or rights. Both roles are encouraged to form a mutual contract with each other, which allows a Submissive plenty more freedoms when assigned to a Dominant and access to the Up. Contracts do not need to be sexual in nature in order to be formed.
Ellie is a content warning all by herself due to her teenage canon point. She's adapting to the city life of Duplicity, conflicted as she is about it. On a personal note I haven't done or seen any of the actual gameplay of tlou2 yet, though I now have the game. I'm still happy to play canonblind off the new characters! [game info]: Aefenglom is a fantasy game set in a vaguely late Victorian-ish setting (with some magitech anachronisms), where characters come in as either Witches (able to use the world's magic) or Monsters (changed by the world's magic into one of the options in the game's bestiary). In order to balance out their new changes, they need to form magical Bonds with other characters, and work together with the locals to try and stem the spread of a magical plague called Cwyld that's infected most of the world and twists living things infected by it into magically mutated forms.
Apps are on a rolling system at the moment (usually processed once a month), so we have no recent TDM but if anyone is interested in getting some samples together, I'm definitely open to helping out!

[game info]: Ryslig is a horror game in which characters are taken to a mysterious peninsula by the Fog God who then starts turning them into human-eating monsters (which are chosen by the mods based either on randomization or personality traits). Hilarity ensues. Or maybe it's horrible things. It's both. Any non-human characters do have to be humanized first, but they start turning into monsters soon enough so that's fun anyway. Robotnik's a faerie, and basically a horrible bug man, and while he intends to get home by any means possible this faerie thing is useful and he intends to stay that way.
Apps don't open until January, but it's worth considering! There's still a TDM going on now, but if you'd rather wait for a fresh one, it's going up January 8th! Come join me!

Only the world knows....
Anyways my Sandalphon's a slime (no surprise there.......) and he's just... adjusting. He's hiding some very difficult feelings but here's to hoping his little café he's opening up distracts him from said feelings. Apps don't open until January, but there's a TDM if you want to hit it up!

[game info]: Imeeji is a pan-fandom memloss game! Don't let the memloss scare you though because memories are easy to earn back. The premise is that characters have been dragged from their respectful worlds into hell in order to be placed on 1 of 12 units, to compete and serve as entertainment for demons! While character powers are stripped away, each unit has a specific look or 'theme' and each unit has different powers that can be purchased with points. They are forced to participate in games that can range from social bingo all the way to high trauma.
Both Kija and Yona are on different units, which sometimes makes games tricky. They are doing their best, but these two reckless idiots shouldn't be left alone to their own devices! We would absolutely adore more cast for fun and drama!
There is currently a queue, which means if you are picky about being placed on a partiular unit, you may end up having to wait a bit to play even after being accepted! But priority goes to players who do not have a character in the game yet already.

[game info]: Aef is a game where characters have any of their native powers stripped from them upon arrival. They arrive as either a Witch and must relearn a magic discipline through the Coven, or they arrive as a Monster, and transform gradually into one of the many varieties of Monsters available. For UT characters, this can be a lot of fun because they're made of magic, and end up feeling dead inside until they foster a Bond - a magical entwining of two souls.
Aef's setting is in a pseudo late-Victorian era, albeit with magic and Monsters and the like. The overall premise in Aefenglom is to combat the Cwyld, a magic blight that can infect any living thing, and the Coven is sure that the Mirrorbound (what the characters apped are called, due to the nature of their arrival through mirrors) are the key. Aefenglom's apps are always open, but are accepted on a rolling queue with a game-wide cap of 160 characters.

[game info]: Deerington is a horror jamjar set in a small town in Maine in the mid 1900s. We have monthly events with different flavors of horror each time, with the freedom to be dive headfirst into the metaplot or just play around in the horror sandbox. Information for January's event hasn't dropped in full yet but it's going to be taking place in a spooky hotel the Shining style, so it's a good opportunity to bring someone new in!
Reserves open on the 1st and apps on the 5th! The newest TDM isn't up yet, but it usually goes live during the last week of the month so you can expect it soon. In the meantime, the cast would be happy to help anyone interested gather samples!

Upcycle is a psychological horror/slightly slice of life game set on a foggy island called South Sister. The game has a medium pace with reasonable AC (5 log or 10 network) and monthly events which is where the horror comes in. Characters receive housing and amenities so it's not too tough on the survival side, and the intrigue comes from digging into the island's history and its various game mechanics (doesn't that sound familiar to all you Dragonspine explorers...). Events can be opt-out of if you aren't comfortable with playing with the prompts, and there's a large variety of characters ingame for crosscanon CR.
Zhongli is personally interested in the 'Silence disease' subplot which is magic-related and he can certainly involve other castmates in the investigation. I'm glad to make icons if you need them :'D

[game info]: Tabula Rasa is kind of a mixed-genre sandbox sort of game in that the setting itself is built around what characters decide to add to it. Everyone gets to import locations/creatures/metaphysical concepts from their canons and that's how the game's setting is being decided on. I'M BAD AT EXPLAINING THINGS but the first point on the FAQ covers the basics, I'd say the game leans a little more to surrealist SoL right now but we did also have a more horror-ish event for October so there's potential for heavier stuff if you're into that. Powers are currently nerfed for all characters, BUT some magic-system stuff has been submitted and should be getting added to the game proper next month so!! hopefully we'll start having magic and shit again soon.
Important note: TR is a capped game, and is currently at cap w\ an open app queue. That said I've been here for months now and there's almost always a drop or two at the end of each month, so if it interests you you probably won't have to wait for long! The queue appears to be empty right now.

[game info]: We're Still Here is a horror game about a town called Santa Rosita which appears to be stuck in an idealized version of the 60's (think a Mayfield spiritual successor). Characters are sorted into nuclear families and everyone around them seems oblivious to the horrors of the town around them.
It's a great setting for TLOU characters because of how the setting contrasts the post-apocalyptic setting of the TLOU universe.

[game info]: Kink bingo. There’s not a whole lot more, but in a way there is. Erku is set on an island with little going on other than the ruins of a city and the remnants of a culture long gone. Characters are able to bring things back to the island through “Auspicious acts” which is basically filling out their bingo cards through the power of smut. Strives have been made and quality of life has gone up.
There are also monsters and forests and mountains to explore for those so inclined. Monsters from one’s homeworld can show up as well if requested.

Characters end up in Penance with a list of crimes, and the plot revolves around penance and corruption. It is a horror setting, but there are some different events as well. It is 18+, and the more a character gives in to the temptations, the more likely that they still start to change.

Doms have it (pretty) easy, Subs struggle a lot more--the goal is for characters to pair up into contracts. You can explore darker parts of your character, lean into the "rebellion" against the city, or become a law-abiding (sex having, role embracing) citizen.
A/C is pretty lax: 2 examples of 10 network comments, 5 log comments, 15 inbox comments or an open post and TDM threads count!
As for cast status: Andy's canon point is pre-movie so she's A Tired Immortal, Booker is here and trying to keep exile when they all live in the same apartment building, Nicky is busy with the criminal underbelly, and Nile keeps getting in trouble for rebellious tendencies. We're all very friendly and would love to thread stuff out on the TDM if you're interesting in giving it a try!

[game info]: Duplicity is a sex game that revolves around kinks and character's reactions. You're either a Dominant or a Submissive (although there are events where it can change, so if you want to switch you designation, it will likely come up again at some point). There are quotas and contracts, but a/c can just be regular interactions from a variety of different sources. There are monthly events that go on, plus regular interactions of trying to navigate the dynamics of the game.
Julian is a Dominant and Jadzia is a Submissive, and I do have plans to have the whole Equilibrium events to happen in game and update Jadzia to the start of season 4. Julian is post series.
There is a TDM here. New one, I think, should do up in January sometime. You can test drive, and then take a chance on your app if you want to try for a different designation.

[game info]: DUPLICITY is a panfandom dystopian sex game that centers around negative traits and the outcome of succumbing to darker urges. Bad behavior is encouraged; events will touch on horror, science fiction, exploration, game plot, and slice of life tossed in when needed. Characters are sorted into the classes of Dominant (living in the Up) and Submissive (living in the Down). Each Dominant must have at least 1 Submissive partner, but may have multiple Submissive partners. There are game events that can deal with kinks, dubcon/noncon, and cursed items.
So basically I'm a lcw, but I'd love to have castmates (would especially love to see Grell, Will, Ciel if possible, Agni, or any of the Phantomhive staff). is taken from between Book of Murder and Book of the Atlantic, and basically has been posing as the "perfect" Submissive while he bides his time and such.
