September EMP Meme
FOR GAME ADS: ➤ Put an ad up with the characters / crew / pairings / fetish you want for your game under the correct game header. This meme is primarily going to be focused on DWRP games but IJ and LJ games are allowed. ➤ PLEASE NOTE A RULE CHANGE HERE. ABSOLUTELY NO obnoxious coding (no font size > size 4 or 3 "big" tags, no oversized banners (they must be 250px in height or less), no blinking text, no obnoxious table html that doesn't collapse easily, no sparklies, no large pictures). Use all the colors you like, but please remember 3 "big" tags is the limit and that's only for headers or title text rather than for all the text in an ad. FOR GAME QUESTIONS: ➤ RPers interested in a game can create a header for the game and ask questions about that game that aren't easy to find on faqs, such as the actual pace vs. what's listed/what kind of plots are run/if the game leans more towards plotty or slice of life/if a game leans more towards network or logs, etc. Both anon questions and anon answers are welcome in this section just like in the rest of the meme. ➤ This thread is not for speaking about wank or drama in a game. There are anoncomms that exist for that. This thread is specifically for general questions about a game that rpers want to get perspective on from players already in the game. Answers can be slightly negative (such as saying app response is slow or that the plots are repetitive or similar things) but this should at least be worded politely. Unnecessary vitriol, any mention of personal drama or wank, or mod teams/individual mods/players being singled out, will be either frozen or screened (based on what seems right based on the content). FOR CHARACTER ADS: ➤ Put up an ad about the characters you are offering. For PSL ads, there is a separate subthread but for character ads for games, post directly to the meme post. Others will comment to you with the games/casts they want you to join. ➤ There is a "Find a Castmate" section, where you can talk about a cast you play in at a game, and try to lure people to join it. Not all games post to the meme or have a "wanted" section, so players that want to tempt people to their cast on their own can use this section for it. Please format this the same as the PSL section, where you post your character's canons in your subject. For the actual text of the ad you must use the "Find a Castmate" form provided at the bottom of this post so that these ads don't get huge. When listing who's currently in a cast, please do this in sentence form (with commas) rather than in list form. ➤ There is a "Find Crosscanon" section, where you can talk about a character you play and and desired crosscanon for that character. Please make sure this is not too generalized a search, because just wanting general crosscanon can be accomplished with the other sections of the meme. This is for specific characters or character types you're looking for. In the subject, please list the "Looking for [canon you're looking for]" rather than your character's canon. If looking for a character type, list the character type in as few words as possible. Do not make the subject huge or I'll screen your comment. For the actual text of the ad you must use the "Find Crosscanon" form provided at the bottom of this post so that these ads don't get huge. This section is only for game crosscanon as in the psl section people can list their preferences. ➤ Examples of crosscanon you can search for: You play The Flash from DC Comics and your dream CR is fellow speedster Quicksilver from Marvel. Or you might play a witch and want cr with other witches in general. Or maybe you play a good character messed up by evil parents and want to play against a villain character you know has evil parents, because you know it'd lead to some interesting negative CR. ➤ ABSOLUTELY NO obnoxious coding, with the same rules as the Game Ads Section above. ➤ If you're recommending a game to someone, try to match your suggestion to their needs. It's okay if part of your game rec is copy-pasted (such as what the game's about), but at least some part of the rec must be personalized to their ad. Try not to recommend the same game to every single ad, either. Ad spam that isn't individualized in some way will also be frozen or screened. Keep in mind this needs to be more specific than "this game has easy AC like you're asking for but meets none of your other requirements." While I did find the Shadow and Bone show entertaining, I'm hoping most for book versions of characters. Because Kaz is a bit different in the show than the books. As an aside, he's also older in book canon. But show versions would also be welcome in any event.

[game info]: The Super Pal Trio (possibly to be renamed) is missing their third member, the quirky tech princess who deserves a lot more screentime than she got. Both Catra and Scorpia are CRAU from the first Deer (Deerington), but it shouldn't alter any dynamic with potential castmates. Deer Country relies heavily on Bloodborne themes, setting up for either canon powers, in-house blood powers, or a combo between them. The tech is strange and unusual, possibly quite interesting to those technologically inclined.
At the beginning of next month, Deer Country will be accepting applications from new players, not just those who were in Deer for the final months. A TDM will likely also being going up this month prior to that.

[game info]: Penance is a sex-positive horror/torture game set in Hell. Characters find themselves condemned to Lucifer's domain in hell due to their sins and can seek paths of corruption or redemption throughout monthly events and an integrated TDM. The setting is expansive and expanding, and characters can work for Lucifer, Lilith, Death, and even become a demon!
Even with a monthly event, AC is on the gentler side (8 comments across 2 threads a month). Reserves and the TDM open on/around the 24th and the next app period opens from Oct 1-7.
Gintama @ Isle of Avalon

[wanted]: Anyone, really! I had a lot of fun with the castmates I got to play with so far (Gintoki, Kamui, Mitsuba, Sougo, and Tsukuyo), but I'd happily bounce Hijikata off any other Gintamas too. Holy Grails would be Kondou, Saitou or Yamazaki.
[game info]: Avalon's premise entails characters getting pulled into the setting along with an assigned familiar (I gave Hijikata a crow tengu based on Gintama's first youkai merchandise line, as an example). It's the mystical island of Arthurian lore, full of strange magical creatures, and people from across the multiverse are being gathered there as a calamity left time across dimensions frozen (a beloved classic of DWRP). Each character gets assigned two types of magic (scroll down a bit in this section of the FAQ for available options).
It's a medium-pace game with very light AC (only 5 successive comments per month). Activities each month include a TDM on the 1st with various prompts of different flavours, accompanied by an assortment of quests (ranging from cute fluff, like finding a missing pet rabbit, to dark stuff like assassinations requests or questionable rituals), and an event on the 20th. The general focus is on adventuring with equal opportunities for silliness, angst and action/battles.
While I'm posting in the 'Find a Castmate' section I'm not opposed to PSLs or memes either, I'm just not very good at TFLN-style prompts and tend to do better with more clearly defined situations. So if there are any Gintamas (or others) out there who'd like a Hijikata but don't think Avalon is the right fit for them, maybe we can find ourselves another little niche. I rarely venture out of my game, but with Halloween on the horizon I'm a sucker for vampire- or werewolf memes or assorted spooky scenarios...

Noctium is a slice-of-life sex-positive game where characters get assigned a specific gem of their choosing. Each gem corresponds to certain traits (which are heightened during events) and these gems also allow for monster transformations. There are AC rewards that can be purchased from extra threads! It's a pretty laid back and chill game if you want easy AC (5 network comments or 3 log comments) and to enjoy crazy shenanigans this is a good place to try out! It tends to be busy when events first get announced but activity tapers off after a few days. Backtag friendly and lots of promise for crosscanon CR, it's a nice place for people just getting back into RP!
Our cast is pretty chill and I'm more than willing to answer any questions you might have! Our in-game EMP opens up on the 21st. The next TDM is on the 25th, reserves open on the 27th, and the next app round is October 1st!!

[game info]: Noctium is a sci-fi game set on the titular planet where characters are brought to help generate an energy resource called Manna, which is created by acts of intimacy that can range from just a deep and meaningful conversation all the way up to NSFW. On arrival, characters are "bonded" to one of four Cardinal Gems and gain new abilities accordingly, but the fifth Cardinal Gem, Malachite, also causes them to transform into various monsters based on their bonded Gem for a week each month. Events usually have a focus on CR building, temporary setting changes, or travelling to new parts of the setting, but action/mystery events also come up every so often too.
Songerein just recently opened and it's a fantasy game set in a dreamworld heavily influenced by fairy tales. Characters' dream selves are pulled into the world and gain "dreamotion" powers that they need to train with, as since the name suggests they're emotionally influenced much of the time and behave a little differently when characters explicitly enter dreams. The focus at the moment is on more literal worldbuilding, fixing up the setting and eventually bringing things back to it through the dreamshift major events that happen every second month.

Each character is spirited away to this realm by having been bonded with a familiar (magical creature of your choosing; Alberto's is a winged cat, like, just a tabby cat with fairy wings, rofl, eat your heart out Machiavelli) who grants them magical powers (Alberto's is light magic, to create illusions and hard light to protect himself from... himself...) that the characters must improve while in Avalon in order to save their home worlds that have been frozen in time and are at risk for ending. It's a flexible, medium-pace game with very forgiving AC requirements (5 consecutive comments a month of any kind) that can be milked for all its adventure-type worth, or treated more as a magical slice of life game, anywhere in between, to whatever degree a player chooses to participate with events and quests. You get to assign your character a gem which allows for a number of powers and an once a month monster transformations. Events range from CR building, to location explorations within the setting, to action adventure, and sometimes other genres.
Here is the premisis and the FAQ. AC is very easy, there are AC rewards for those who are extra active, and the pacing of the game is pretty chill.

[wanted]: It's definitely a long shot, but any of the other bracelet girls would be a dream come true. But also I'm the only Arc-V here, so... honestly anybody would be fun.
[game info]: Avalon is a magical/modern setting in the—you guessed it—isle of avalon! There's plenty of Arthurian Legend to be found, and the game is very fun. Abilities are unfortunately taken from your character upon arrival, but everyone will receive a Familiar that can be any magical creature from mythology, or even something from the character's own canon! (Yuzu's familiar is actually Odd-Eyes, Yuya's dragon).
On top of familiars, magic! There are a number of different types to pick from, and you'll get to pick two! A Primary Magic, and then a Secondary Magic! You'll get to pick OOCLY, so you get to choose if your character gets something they like or something that brings them no end of grief.

[game info]: DUPLICITY is a panfandom dystopian sex game that centers around negative traits and the outcome of succumbing to darker urges. Bad behavior is encouraged; events will touch on horror, science fiction, exploration, game plot, and slice of life tossed in when needed. Characters are sorted into the classes of Dominant (living in the Up) and Submissive (living in the Down). Each Dominant must have at least 1 Submissive partner, but may have multiple Submissive partners. There are game events that can deal with kinks, dubcon/noncon, and cursed items.
Would especially love to see aged-up!Ciel if possible, Grell, Will, Agni, or any of the other Phantomhive staff.

[wanted]: New and old characters! Our Fret really wants a Rindo, Beat and Nagi, and I'd die for ...anyone, actually.
[game info]: Okay so the game's really cool. It's very new (This is the first month it's been open) and its a low-tech abandoned forest dreamscape which changes with the idea it's first going to incorporate things from fairytales, and eventually character's worlds. There's weird nightmare creatures involved too.
Applications are bi-monthly, which would mean the next app session is October. If you'd like to thread a little without the game until then (idk. If you're dusting off any of the old guard or voicetesting new, or whatever!) I'm down. Hit me up!

[wanted]: ANYONE but especially Varia squad (Xanxus!!!, Belphegor, Lussuria, Mammon, Fran, yes even Levi) and friends (Yamamoto, Dino, Bianchi, ...)
[game info]: Penance is a game set IN HELL where characters can work toward redemption or sink deeper into sin! The monthly events vary from body horror with torture to holiday fluff, and there's plenty of room for player plots. TDMs also count as game canon so essentially there's two events a month if you like having plenty to do, but it's also not mandatory to take part in all of them and AC is super easy at ~8 comments per month.
It's very villain-friendly, although as a note, characters need to be 16+ so the main gang would need to be aged up.
Naturally, Squalo is too stubborn to pretend he wants redemption, not to mention he believes he's dead (oops) and that the Varia will show up any time so they can take over Hell. By now he's sporting a nice set of horns and fangs, and has managed to win enough favor from Satan to get certain accommodations, such as a nice place to live and the addition of dollar-store Coliseum to the community for battles to the death (not that it sticks here).
