February EMP Meme
FOR GAME ADS: ➤ Put an ad up with the characters / crew / pairings / fetish you want for your game under the correct game header. This meme is primarily going to be focused on DWRP games but IJ and LJ games are allowed. ➤ PLEASE NOTE A RULE CHANGE HERE. ABSOLUTELY NO obnoxious coding (no font size > size 4 or 3 "big" tags, no oversized banners (they must be 250px in height or less), no blinking text, no obnoxious table html that doesn't collapse easily, no sparklies, no large pictures). Use all the colors you like, but please remember 3 "big" tags is the limit and that's only for headers or title text rather than for all the text in an ad. FOR GAME QUESTIONS: ➤ RPers interested in a game can create a header for the game and ask questions about that game that aren't easy to find on faqs, such as the actual pace vs. what's listed/what kind of plots are run/if the game leans more towards plotty or slice of life/if a game leans more towards network or logs, etc. Both anon questions and anon answers are welcome in this section just like in the rest of the meme. ➤ This thread is not for speaking about wank or drama in a game. There are anoncomms that exist for that. This thread is specifically for general questions about a game that rpers want to get perspective on from players already in the game. Answers can be slightly negative (such as saying app response is slow or that the plots are repetitive or similar things) but this should at least be worded politely. Unnecessary vitriol, any mention of personal drama or wank, or mod teams/individual mods/players being singled out, will be either frozen or screened (based on what seems right based on the content). FOR CHARACTER ADS: ➤ Put up an ad about the characters you are offering. For PSL ads, there is a separate subthread but for character ads for games, post directly to the meme post. Others will comment to you with the games/casts they want you to join. ➤ There is a "Find a Castmate" section, where you can talk about a cast you play in at a game, and try to lure people to join it. Not all games post to the meme or have a "wanted" section, so players that want to tempt people to their cast on their own can use this section for it. Please format this the same as the PSL section, where you post your character's canons in your subject. For the actual text of the ad you must use the "Find a Castmate" form provided at the bottom of this post so that these ads don't get huge. When listing who's currently in a cast, please do this in sentence form (with commas) rather than in list form. ➤ There is a "Find Crosscanon" section, where you can talk about a character you play and and desired crosscanon for that character. Please make sure this is not too generalized a search, because just wanting general crosscanon can be accomplished with the other sections of the meme. This is for specific characters or character types you're looking for. In the subject, please list the "Looking for [canon you're looking for]" rather than your character's canon. If looking for a character type, list the character type in as few words as possible. Do not make the subject huge or I'll screen your comment. For the actual text of the ad you must use the "Find Crosscanon" form provided at the bottom of this post so that these ads don't get huge. This section is only for game crosscanon as in the psl section people can list their preferences. ➤ Examples of crosscanon you can search for: You play The Flash from DC Comics and your dream CR is fellow speedster Quicksilver from Marvel. Or you might play a witch and want cr with other witches in general. Or maybe you play a good character messed up by evil parents and want to play against a villain character you know has evil parents, because you know it'd lead to some interesting negative CR. ➤ ABSOLUTELY NO obnoxious coding, with the same rules as the Game Ads Section above. ➤ If you're recommending a game to someone, try to match your suggestion to their needs. It's okay if part of your game rec is copy-pasted (such as what the game's about), but at least some part of the rec must be personalized to their ad. Try not to recommend the same game to every single ad, either. Ad spam that isn't individualized in some way will also be frozen or screened. Keep in mind this needs to be more specific than "this game has easy AC like you're asking for but meets none of your other requirements." [game info]: Penance is a sex-friendly game set in Hell. Characters are condemned to Lucifer's realm by their sins and may seek their own path, be it one of corruption or redemption. Events run monthly and are largely horror-centric, along with an integrated TDM. There's a ton of freedom to explore the setting, participate in metaplot, open a business, you name it. And you can even turn your character into a demon!
Penance is a great fit for villains as well as people seeking a slower game, since AC is just eight comments a month. Our reserves and TDM will open on the 24th and our apps open on March 1st. I'm here to answer any questions you may have, so feel free to hit me up.*

[game info]: Deer Country is predominantly a horror game with a medium-fast pace and medium-light AC with monthly events inspired by Bloodborne and eldritch horror, but it has strong community-building elements and players can make a large impact on the setting with player plots outside of the horror elements. Ange is CRAU from the predecessor game, Deerington, but knowledge of Deerington isn't required to play in Deer Country. Sayo (Episode 3 gameboard canonpoint) is keeping a lid on her secrets for now, but she's likely going to confess everything to Ange (Episode 6 canonpoint) sometime mid-March.

Noctium is a jamjar panfandom sex friendly game. Your character ends up in a strange world with one of four gemstones embedded somewhere on their body. It grants them cool powers but uuuuh they’ll also be transforming into a monster once a month. You can play the game as slice-of-life or indulge in the darker ongoing lore of the world.
Or you can be super mean to your character like me and curse them with random transformations any time of the month with an activity reward.
The game as very low AC requirements and a very simple app. We’re between app cycles right now, the next TDM being on the 25th.

[game info]: Abraxas is a plot-driven political fantasy game where characters get powers, they can meditate themselves into a shared dreamstate-esque plane where everyone has their own customizable domain, and we have some SERIOUSLY great casts here. I'd call the pace a comfortable medium, with tags tending toward solid quality medium-length introspection-y brackets, but that's hella flexible.
HAIKYUU @ VICTORY ROAD

[game info]: Victory Road is a long running panfandom Pokémon game where your character wakes up in New Bark Town (or Goldenrod as a rocket) with their very own starter Pokémon of their choice and can either take their journey through Johto or take a ferry to Kanto and go through the region there. You can also be a part of Team Rocket as well, and many players in-game already are! On top of being either a trainer or rocket, the other option is to become a breeder, all of which have their own special perks. Victory Road also has most of the Pokémon up to Gen 8, and all of the available ones are found in the routes. So if you want to find a Rookidee to become a Corviknight later for your character? You can find one on the early routes and more! Pokémon are also found in the towns and cities as well. Another bonus is that you can open up your very own gym in the Aurora League once you get all 16 badges and defeat the Elite 4 & Champion.
The size of the game is medium-large with a very relaxed pace and people are more than happy to backtag, and AC is a very nice 10 comments that can be spread across more than one thread as long as you hit ten comments from your character. But with doing the gym circuit, battling, dealing with rockets, and monthly-ish events; the pace is up to you.
There are also no cast limits, so for a large canon like Haikyuu, that's a good thing if you want to bring multiple people with you.
Apps are always open & processed every Sunday CST, and the main navigation here has a lot of helpful information, and the FAQ here answers most questions. The TDM for Jan/Feb is currently up. Mods are also always available to ask questions to as well.

[game info]: Victory Road is a long-running jamjar set in the world of Pokémon, specifically the regions of Johto, Kanto, and the Sevii Islands. Characters are dropped in the middle of New Bark Town- or Team Rocket HQ in Goldenrod City- with a starter Pokémon, but after that, where your journey leads is up to you! Travel around the different regions catching and raising all your favorite Pokémon, take on the Indigo League and earn the right to open your own Gym, breed Pokémon for hidden abilities and shinies, or get drafted into Team Rocket and pull off huge heists with flashy catch phrase scenes! And a bonus for Voltrons: we already have a VERY nice beach house on Four Island!
Canon powers are nerfed and characters are humanized (although minor cosmetic features like Altean characteristics can stay), but in their place… Pokémon, almost anything up to Gen 8! There are no cast limits, which is a blessing in a huge canon like ours. The game is medium-large with a relaxed pace and a chill AC of 10 comments a month, but Pokémon battles, the Gym battle circuit, missions for Team Rocket members (or fending them off), and roughly monthly events allow you to add a bit of adventure to the slice of life at your own pace.

The Operator's canonpoint is shortly post-Sacrifice, but I don't mind them interacting with characters from later canonpoints, including The New War. The Operator's been laying low for the most part and has become keenly aware that the concepts that defined their life in the Origin System—the Tenno, the Orokin, the Old War, the Sentients, etc.—don't mean anything here. Suffice to say, it's taken some adjustment!

[game info]: Set in a dream world. Features a lot of exploration / worldbuilding and slice of life with opportunities for more intense situations as well. Characters acquire the ability to perform essentially magic through dreamotion energy. This ability manifests differently with each character and is pretty much left to player imagination.
Songerein is a player-capped game with a ceiling of 75 and currently well under that, so there are plenty of slots. Pace tends to be medium to fast and AC is an easy 2 threads of at least 5 comments each. Happy to answer any questions and provide a tagback partner for the required TDM sample if you decide to app! [wanted]: Anyone, though since we do have cast caps I have to pull for fellow Society peeps, and that includes Cassius, Issac, and I would even say Grace because that would be pretty fun. But honestly I'd enjoy seeing any of the GBF crew in for chance of cross-cast interaction and how some of them would be interesting for the setting!
[game info]: Songerein is a game based off dreams and emotions. Everyone's emotions manifest in tangible ways, such as being sad makes it rain, joy gives sunshine, anger blows a hole in the wall, the phrase "I'm so embarrassed I wish the ground would swallow me whole" can be made real.
But the other big mechanic is dreams. Characters can either view dreams like a recording, or they can enter them and interact with the dreamer's environment. The combination of dreams and emotions allows players to really sink into a character's personality and pull out the hidden parts of them that would otherwise be difficult to use for development and CR building.
We sometimes have small events, but our bigger events are bimonthly and are large dreamscapes set in a different setting. Currently it's been more seasonal, but they are supposed to be more fairy tale/story setting focused. For example, current event is a mash up of Romeo and Juliet and Lindworm King.
It's really just a crazy place full of opportunities to do your own thing and add to the setting! Eustace has 12 dogs he's living the dream already—

[wanted]: What with the many different iterations of characters and recurring themes/McGuffins within Marvel properties, I'm seeing potential just about everywhere. Whether it's different versions of Otto himself, a version of Spider-Man, an Avenger... Basically, I'm searching for villains to be villainous with Otto (SINISTER SIX, GOOO), heroes to exchange terrible quips with him, scientists to debate technology with him or anyone else who triggers shenanigans.

Songerein may seem like an odd fit for superheroes and supervillains at first glance, but what with the dream scenarios and emotions affecting the environment, there's actually a lot of potential here for shenanigans and outrageous powers. Plus, with the technology still developing, there's always the 'build this in a cave with a box of scraps' challenge that's very fun to tackle. Right now, Otto's trying to rebuild his fusion reactor (because he's mid-movie so of course he is) and it's going to take him a while due to shortage of materials, but things will absolutely go hilariously wrong once he finishes.

[game info]: Incensed is a smallish, medium-paced, EXTREMELY backtag friendly fantasy/exploration game with some customizable horror elements. Characters arrive in one of four cities on a tropical rainforest island, where they must work together to survive the mysterious incense, which has strange effects, and figure out a way to get home in one piece.
