ENABLEMEPLZ meme goes up on the Second Saturday of every month FOR GAME ADS: ➤ Put an ad up with the characters / crew / pairings / fetish you want for your game under the correct game header. This meme is primarily going to be focused on DWRP games but IJ and LJ games are allowed. ➤ PLEASE NOTE A RULE CHANGE HERE. ABSOLUTELY NO obnoxious coding (no font size > size 4 or 3 "big" tags, no oversized banners (they must be 250px in height or less), no blinking text, no obnoxious table html that doesn't collapse easily, no sparklies, no large pictures). Use all the colors you like, but please remember 3 "big" tags is the limit and that's only for headers or title text rather than for all the text in an ad. FOR GAME QUESTIONS: ➤ RPers interested in a game can create a header for the game and ask questions about that game that aren't easy to find on faqs, such as the actual pace vs. what's listed/what kind of plots are run/if the game leans more towards plotty or slice of life/if a game leans more towards network or logs, etc. Both anon questions and anon answers are welcome in this section just like in the rest of the meme. ➤ This thread is not for speaking about wank or drama in a game. There are anoncomms that exist for that. This thread is specifically for general questions about a game that rpers want to get perspective on from players already in the game. Answers can be slightly negative (such as saying app response is slow or that the plots are repetitive or similar things) but this should at least be worded politely. Unnecessary vitriol, any mention of personal drama or wank, or mod teams/individual mods/players being singled out, will be either frozen or screened (based on what seems right based on the content). FOR CHARACTER ADS: ➤ Put up an ad about the characters you are offering. For PSL ads, there is a separate subthread but for character ads for games, post directly to the meme post. Others will comment to you with the games/casts they want you to join. ➤ There is a "Find a Castmate" section, where you can talk about a cast you play in at a game, and try to lure people to join it. Not all games post to the meme or have a "wanted" section, so players that want to tempt people to their cast on their own can use this section for it. Please format this the same as the PSL section, where you post your character's canons in your subject. For the actual text of the ad you must use the "Find a Castmate" form provided at the bottom of this post so that these ads don't get huge. When listing who's currently in a cast, please do this in sentence form (with commas) rather than in list form. ➤ There is a "Find Crosscanon" section, where you can talk about a character you play and and desired crosscanon for that character. Please make sure this is not too generalized a search, because just wanting general crosscanon can be accomplished with the other sections of the meme. This is for specific characters or character types you're looking for. In the subject, please list the "Looking for [canon you're looking for]" rather than your character's canon. If looking for a character type, list the character type in as few words as possible. Do not make the subject huge or I'll screen your comment. For the actual text of the ad you must use the "Find Crosscanon" form provided at the bottom of this post so that these ads don't get huge. This section is only for game crosscanon as in the psl section people can list their preferences. ➤ Examples of crosscanon you can search for: You play The Flash from DC Comics and your dream CR is fellow speedster Quicksilver from Marvel. Or you might play a witch and want cr with other witches in general. Or maybe you play a good character messed up by evil parents and want to play against a villain character you know has evil parents, because you know it'd lead to some interesting negative CR. ➤ ABSOLUTELY NO obnoxious coding, with the same rules as the Game Ads Section above. ➤ If you're recommending a game to someone, try to match your suggestion to their needs. It's okay if part of your game rec is copy-pasted (such as what the game's about), but at least some part of the rec must be personalized to their ad. Try not to recommend the same game to every single ad, either. Ad spam that isn't individualized in some way will also be frozen or screened. Keep in mind this needs to be more specific than "this game has easy AC like you're asking for but meets none of your other requirements." Make sure you're advertising games that might click with that specific character, where a few elements fit what they're looking for. You should be thinking about the story reasons of how the character might click with the game. IN GENERAL: ➤ Don't be a dick. Recently got re-obsessed with DD after watching NWH and then binging all the Defenders shows again when they got switched over to Disney+ oops, suddenly dying to play Matt for the first time in many years.

SEEKING:

PSLs or meme threads! I want to noodle around with the character again at least a month or two before even thinking about trying a game. I'm very rusty with him!

Love both shipping and gen! I always enjoy castmates from anywhere in the vast sprawl of the Marvel but I am super into crosscanon stuff and OCs too! OTA for shipping, though I would prefer characters 25+ years old (meanwhile I'm down for gen with characters of any age!!)

Extremely into Crosscanon AUs!! If you want any help brainstorming how to smash MCU and any other canon together I'm your gal. I'm also 100% down for altered OU stuff like Soulmate verses or just fudging the timelines/events of MCU canon. I like writing action/adventure, interpersonal drama, humor and angst and horror stuff the most but I'm open to trying literally anything.

Anyone from Defenders Saga stuff!!! Super huge soft spot for either shippy or gen with the other Defenders, Elektra, and Frank, but literally anyone from the (formerly) Netflix shows would tickle me pink.

Any Spidey! Tom!Spidey for Daredevil team up stuff since he'll be stuck at street-level in NYC for the time being? Or maybe he needs a lawyer as Peter (his landlord tries to evict him from his new apartment? gets in trouble because legally Peter Parker isn't someone who exists? idk) and he remembers that Matt works pro-bono, if you want to do the civvie angle while he's still struggle buggin post-movie? Or Andrew!Spidey? I have no thoughts, head empty, just please look at this stupid picture with me. Tobey!Spidey? Video game Spidey? Comics or Into the Spiderverse Spiders of any stripe, or literally anything?? I'd be happy to brainstorm any plot ideas out.

My whole soul for a Eddie/Venom or Deadpool!! Would love Daredevil trying desperately to wrangle either of these chaos demons into behaving whenever they're anywhere near Hell's Kitchen. Or just like, Matt accidentally liking them despite himself because they're both so ridiculous.

I've also seen all the Disney+ shows and would love to throw Matt at characters from any of them! He could run into Kate after she starts heroing in NYC, or Clint when he's in town to visit/mentor her, or Maya if you want to puzzle out how to make it possible for them to communicate because that sounds extremely fun to me, or Yelena doing literally anything because fuck yes Yelena. Or maybe Bucky or Sam need a lawyer, or some sort of variant shenanigans with Loki or Sylvie, or I know Moon Knight is only partly out but I would love to thread with Steven/Marc/etc, because Yes.

Oh, Blip stuff would be AWESOME. Especially if it situationally pushes them together despite Jessica's reluctance. As far as I know, her series ends without her ever actively learning Matt is alive; but 50% of all everything being dusted is the thing that would probably make her want to fact check that! I could write a starter that is along the lines of... a few weeks after the snap, Jessica awkwardly (and drunkenly) knocks on the door of Nelson, Murdock & Page. What do you think?

haha ironically the reason it is taking me awhile to reply is because I was hurrying up to finish redoing my icons to replace the 6+ year old set I had uploaded, in order to avoid getting too far into threads and then having nothing but a default icon on them after I switch. Which I realize is dumb now that I'm typing it out lol but there you have it.

Anyway I love urban fantasy I'm way too into genre tv so I'm definitely intrigued by werewolf stuff, tell me more! And I'll definitely keep an eye out for Eddie (or welcome any hits to my toplevels which I've finally updated here if you see anything that strikes your fancy!

My main fave idea is that she's either bitten in the accident that gave her her abilities (which she still has, so she's still a freak, even as a wolf), or she's had her accident that gives her abilities and then still meets Kilgrave who turns her, which gives her a rather unhealthy relationship with the idea of what it means to be a werewolf and what they're like. No pack, killed her Alpha, lone wolf. It could go either one of a few ways where she meets up with Matt and co much like canon, only you sprinkle werewolf in there with superhero stuff. It all depends on how the other party wants to play the werewolf angle; hush hush secret nobody knows, open secret like Mercyverse/Blakeverse, or everyone has a waggy tail. For anything deeper, it's better to plan out with the party since everyone has their version of which werewolf type they like best and how they like to play it.

Oh oh, hear me out: the Chaste's secret war is with werewolves, not ninjas, and Matt has been training his whole life to be a werewolf hunter but he doesn't realize it because Stick didn't let him in on the details of the war until he meets her in Defenders times? Maybe a big baddie werewolf cabal are trying to recruit Jess because she's super strong even for a werewolf instead of the Hand trying to get Danny because Iron Fist etc. And obviously Matt decides that no he's not going to hunt her because she's clearly just a person trying to get by in life, and we could run from there?

Hey, we had that brief tfln thread together, and I thought it could be fun if the pair of them interacted more. I can see MJ ultimately deciding that the STEM field isn't for her as much as she might want it to be and instead gets interested in law from a public service angle. Maybe she remembers about Matt and asks if he needs an intern, though she doesn't remember how she might have heard of him (she could also eventually have a moment with him like she does with Peter, where she just casually says, "Oh hey, you're the Devil of Hell's Kitchen. It's kind of obvious. Anyway, moving on....").

Given that she's not yet 18 when NWH ends (thanks, Blip) and would likely be in college during this time, their relationship would be more of a mentoring capacity than a romance, maybe with him even accidentally convincing her that anyone can put on a mask and do the vigilante thing if they work at it hard enough, since I can see her going that route without Peter there to act as a stabilizing force in her life. But yes, let me know if any of this sounds interesting to you, and we can definitely work from there!

Oh my god I love the idea of MJ interning at Nelson, Murdock & Page!! I feel like their combined righteous anger at the system would be so good, and so annoying for everyone around them (which makes it even better.) And then she could scare the beans out of him by sussing him out in like a couple weeks because he really does think he's so much slicker than he is.

And please he would have such an existential crisis if he realized he was helping to enable her to be a vigilante too, someone needs to stress him out as much as he stresses out his friends it's what he deserves.

Look Matt, she is absolutely aware of the fact that the blind are capable of truly impressive things, but you are generally way too good and also way too angry to be this impressive and not be doing something more with it. (Also, despite being a lawyer, Foggy's not the best liar, especially when faced with pointed questions.)

I can see MJ having a moment where she's gotten to a crime or two before Matt does and is shocked that he's figured her out because she hadn't realized that, right, a mask isn't really going to hide her identity from a dude who can't see her to begin with. And they just have this weird almost father-daughter moment where Matt tries to convince her to do as he says and not as he does and that just makes everything that much worse.

So yes, if you're game for this, we can hash this out on one of our journals or something, unless you want to start out on some sort of applicable meme. Just let me know!
