July EMP Meme
FOR GAME ADS: ➤ Put an ad up with the characters / crew / pairings / fetish you want for your game under the correct game header. This meme is primarily going to be focused on DWRP games but IJ and LJ games are allowed. ➤ PLEASE NOTE A RULE CHANGE HERE. ABSOLUTELY NO obnoxious coding (no font size > size 4 or 3 "big" tags, no oversized banners (they must be 250px in height or less), no blinking text, no obnoxious table html that doesn't collapse easily, no sparklies, no large pictures). Use all the colors you like, but please remember 3 "big" tags is the limit and that's only for headers or title text rather than for all the text in an ad. FOR GAME QUESTIONS: ➤ RPers interested in a game can create a header for the game and ask questions about that game that aren't easy to find on faqs, such as the actual pace vs. what's listed/what kind of plots are run/if the game leans more towards plotty or slice of life/if a game leans more towards network or logs, etc. Both anon questions and anon answers are welcome in this section just like in the rest of the meme. ➤ This thread is not for speaking about wank or drama in a game. There are anoncomms that exist for that. This thread is specifically for general questions about a game that rpers want to get perspective on from players already in the game. Answers can be slightly negative (such as saying app response is slow or that the plots are repetitive or similar things) but this should at least be worded politely. Unnecessary vitriol, any mention of personal drama or wank, or mod teams/individual mods/players being singled out, will be either frozen or screened (based on what seems right based on the content). FOR CHARACTER ADS: ➤ Put up an ad about the characters you are offering. For PSL ads, there is a separate subthread but for character ads for games, post directly to the meme post. Others will comment to you with the games/casts they want you to join. ➤ There is a "Find a Castmate" section, where you can talk about a cast you play in at a game, and try to lure people to join it. Not all games post to the meme or have a "wanted" section, so players that want to tempt people to their cast on their own can use this section for it. Please format this the same as the PSL section, where you post your character's canons in your subject. For the actual text of the ad you must use the "Find a Castmate" form provided at the bottom of this post so that these ads don't get huge. When listing who's currently in a cast, please do this in sentence form (with commas) rather than in list form. ➤ There is a "Find Crosscanon" section, where you can talk about a character you play and and desired crosscanon for that character. Please make sure this is not too generalized a search, because just wanting general crosscanon can be accomplished with the other sections of the meme. This is for specific characters or character types you're looking for. In the subject, please list the "Looking for [canon you're looking for]" rather than your character's canon. If looking for a character type, list the character type in as few words as possible. Do not make the subject huge or I'll screen your comment. For the actual text of the ad you must use the "Find Crosscanon" form provided at the bottom of this post so that these ads don't get huge. This section is only for game crosscanon as in the psl section people can list their preferences. ➤ Examples of crosscanon you can search for: You play The Flash from DC Comics and your dream CR is fellow speedster Quicksilver from Marvel. Or you might play a witch and want cr with other witches in general. Or maybe you play a good character messed up by evil parents and want to play against a villain character you know has evil parents, because you know it'd lead to some interesting negative CR. ➤ ABSOLUTELY NO obnoxious coding, with the same rules as the Game Ads Section above. ➤ If you're recommending a game to someone, try to match your suggestion to their needs. It's okay if part of your game rec is copy-pasted (such as what the game's about), but at least some part of the rec must be personalized to their ad. Try not to recommend the same game to every single ad, either. Ad spam that isn't individualized in some way will also be frozen or screened. Keep in mind this needs to be more specific than "this game has easy AC like you're asking for but meets none of your other requirements." Make sure you're advertising games that might click with that specific character, where a few elements fit what they're looking for. [game info]: Metaheroes is an invite only panfandom open-world game loosely based upon the Villains Code novels by Drew Hayes. It draws inspiration from a wealth of other comics and comic-adjacent media. Set in a world parallel to our own, characters are given powers and tasked with the responsibility of deciding how to use them. Be it for heroic glory, villainous escapades, or simple survival, your choice and usage of your powers will help shape this world you've been brought into. The game has both sandbox elements allowing players to create their own fun and plot to continue driving the story forward and giving players something to engage with.

[game info]: Imeeji is a game in which characters are torn from their worlds, sorted onto one of twelve units to become idols for the entertainment of hell! Though most enstars characters would scoff at the producers interpretation of idols! As they aren't dancing and singing. Rather, they compete with the other units in games that can range anywhere from social bingo to death and trauma.
When characters arrive, they lack memories, but those are quickly earned back! And each unit possesses a different powerset and aesthetic. If you look closely enough, you'll notice that several units appear rather familiar, even if they go by different names.

[game info]: Deer Country is a horror game sequel to Deerington, drawing on the setting of the video game Bloodborne and eldritch/cosmic horror. The emphasis of the game is on building relationships to withstand the dangers of the world, dealing with personal corruption and the threat of transformation into a monster, and adapting to a new life in the game's setting.

In game, Paul Atreides is currently involved in the aftermath of a significant player plot, and on the up swing of an arc about learning to relinquish the path of revenge and attempting to lead a life of non-violence.

Jayce and Viktor are in the technological faction and started their own business and they're working on a new Hexcore, while trying to find a way to use the magic of this realm to help the process. Jesper and Inej have settled into the biggest city in the area and they're adjusting to not having a gang for once. Jesper's been learning how to use his powers finally! Gasp! [game info]: Folkmore is a folklore/mythology-based game where characters are sorted into the categories of Legends ("good" guys), Myths ("bad" guys), and Familiars ("neutral" guys), with new physical characteristics to go with it. The Fox in charge of the setting gives the characters trials every month to explore what the ideas of "good," "bad," and "neutral" really mean. It's an invite-only game but invites are easy to come by (I can give you one!), and you don't need an invite to hit up the monthly test drive anyway, which should go up around the last week of the month. Reserves open on the 1st, and apps open on the 5th.

[game info]: So. Cute adventures with Pokemon, in this old, old game. Our cast is very chill OOCly, but also open to lots of IC silliness. Give your FFXIV character cute animals who they can love, and explore a large world! Currently, there's an event going on where we're all in Hisui, so all the modern tech isn't around! The game has really lax AC, and no you don't need to be merticulous in your record keeping. You can go as hardcore or as relaxed as you want!
Personally, I would love for either Ryne or Venat because. Well. Minfilia here is from just before the end of 2.55, but she's semi-aware of what happens next. It'd be Fun to explore that relationship!

[game info]: Victory Road is a super cute Pokemon-based game where the characters get dropped in, meet Pokemon friends, and have adventures! There are Trainers, Breeders, or Team Rocket options available for joining. AC is pretty easy and there are monthly events (usually biweekly, but right now there's a month-long one in Hisui thanks to time-travel happening). Our YGO cast is expanding! We're getting some DM people with Marik and Seto, and Arc-V characters (Yuya, Yuzu, and Gon) have been there for a while.

[game info]: Horror game with some Lovecraftian/Bloodborne inspiration. Everyone has a blood type with special powers. Jason is a paleblood and hears thoughts, for example. There's lots of room for player plots and there are monthly events that deal with different horror elements. But there's also fun stuff, like we just had a player plot where all the palebloods did a Bake-Off.

Edward has been... getting up to mischief, 'accidentally' burning down a bar and getting very drunk. He's from end s1, so he's doing as well as expected ! But the premise of being somewhere new and different and away from his problems (though with new problems) is at least making him a little more 'himself'.

[wanted]: Basically, I'm thirsty for twoof castmates no matter what season they hail from. This includes but is not limited to Scott McCall, Stiles, Lydia Martin, Isaac Lahey, Peter Hale, Derek Hale, Malia Tate, Kira Yukimura, Erica Reyes, Vernon Boyd, et al. I'm especially excited about characters Allison has existing interactions with, but also looking forward to creating new stories with ones she's never really bonded with.
[game info]: Reparacija is a great game with a fun and cooperative playerbase. It's a sci-fi/sex game set in an alien prison. Your character has been sent there for something that can be as slight as not wearing an ugly Christmas sweater to an ugly Christmas sweater party, only the aliens will call it a crime against your world. Your character is given a sentence sheet which is a chart of kinks chosen by mods according to info you give them on your app and through the sentencing process. You have the option of choosing a light sentence which can consist of things like cuddling and kissing instead of NSFW things. I'm having a blast here and there are some great players and characters around!

Reparacija aka Horny Jail is a game where your character has been sent to an alien prison and the only way to get free and go home is to complete your Sentence (link is to Alina's for example) which is chalk full of sexual acts. Sex/smut/spice/lemon is a HUGE focus for the game.
We have a great friendly group and the Mods are great! You don't have to worry about AC as it is now AC bonus. This is suppose to be a hobby and not something stressful. The Mods allow a lot of freedom and are always open to suggestions!

[game info]: Penance is a sex friendly game set in, you guessed it, Hell. Sinners arrive with a list of sins, and over the course of time can either try to redeem themselves by removing sins, or corrupt themselves by sinning more and eventually turning demonic.
As of right now, Ann's taken it upon herself to start putting together a group of people willing to rebel against the ladies and lords of Hell and God himself. Right now, they're calling themselves the Ghost Gang

This is, at least, a personal thing that I am doing and trying to get other players involved too fr #maximumfun but there's, of course, many other things to do as well depending on what you specifically want out of the game. Do keep in mind, this game is not only sex friendly, but there's a lot of torture elements too because it IS hell. You don't have to participate in any of that stuff if you don't want to, though, it's not a requirement and pretty easy to bypass!AC is super relaxed, eight comments! [game info]: hugtopia's premise is set in a post-apocalyptic world brought about by the natives' own making. as the locals became more cybernetic, their world started dying. by the time they turned completely robotic, their world was well on its way to the wasteland that it currently is. as it turns out, their world and their gods are in need of physical contact to sustain the environment. so! off-worlders are spirited in, in the hopes that they will engage in physical contact (platonic or otherwise) to help restore the world.
the game has easy ac (5 comments), a good plot that can be easily interacted with and influenced by characters, action for those who want it, downtime for those who want to chill, an opportunity for growth and development, and a wonderful, charming community. applications are always open <3

[wanted]: Adrian, Harcourt, Adebayo, Dye-Beard… pretty much everyone but Eagly, because Eagly is a good boy who has never done a crime in his life.
[game info]: It’s horny jail. That’s it, that’s the whole game. Characters are sent to prison for their crimes and have to complete a kink bingo card in order to finish their sentence. Chris has committed SO MANY CRIMES, so I think it’s sort of apt that he finish out his sentence in alien kink prison.
If you’re not into kinks, there are also cute options like cuddling and kissing!
AC is check-in, the community is small and nice, the plots are silly and fun… good vibes all around. Let me know if you’re interested! The app round for this month is finishing up on the 15th, but I’ll pal around with anyone on the TDM until apps open for August.

[game info]: Reparacija is a great game - the best one I've been in for some time. The playerbase is fun and cooperative and things have gone smoothly since the start. AC is check-in only. The plot is that your character has been brought to a prison on a dying alien world for some infraction, huge or minuscule, and their sentence is a list of kinks that will be assigned based on your character's app and your preferences. They'll also have to fight off nasty alien creatures that lurk around the prison and deal with sus alien flora. The current app round ends on the 15th at 9PM EST, but a new TDM goes up at the beginning of August and reserves for August open on the 5th with apps opening on the 10th.
