October EMP Meme
FOR GAME ADS: ➤ Put an ad up with the characters / crew / pairings / fetish you want for your game under the correct game header. This meme is primarily going to be focused on DWRP games but IJ and LJ games are allowed. ➤ PLEASE NOTE A RULE CHANGE HERE. ABSOLUTELY NO obnoxious coding (no font size > size 4 or 3 "big" tags, no oversized banners (they must be 250px in height or less), no blinking text, no obnoxious table html that doesn't collapse easily, no sparklies, no large pictures). Use all the colors you like, but please remember 3 "big" tags is the limit and that's only for headers or title text rather than for all the text in an ad. FOR GAME QUESTIONS: ➤ RPers interested in a game can create a header for the game and ask questions about that game that aren't easy to find on faqs, such as the actual pace vs. what's listed/what kind of plots are run/if the game leans more towards plotty or slice of life/if a game leans more towards network or logs, etc. Both anon questions and anon answers are welcome in this section just like in the rest of the meme. ➤ This thread is not for speaking about wank or drama in a game. There are anoncomms that exist for that. This thread is specifically for general questions about a game that rpers want to get perspective on from players already in the game. Answers can be slightly negative (such as saying app response is slow or that the plots are repetitive or similar things) but this should at least be worded politely. Unnecessary vitriol, any mention of personal drama or wank, or mod teams/individual mods/players being singled out, will be either frozen or screened (based on what seems right based on the content). FOR CHARACTER ADS: ➤ Put up an ad about the characters you are offering. For PSL ads, there is a separate subthread but for character ads for games, post directly to the meme post. Others will comment to you with the games/casts they want you to join. ➤ There is a "Find a Castmate" section, where you can talk about a cast you play in at a game, and try to lure people to join it. Not all games post to the meme or have a "wanted" section, so players that want to tempt people to their cast on their own can use this section for it. Please format this the same as the PSL section, where you post your character's canons in your subject. For the actual text of the ad you must use the "Find a Castmate" form provided at the bottom of this post so that these ads don't get huge. When listing who's currently in a cast, please do this in sentence form (with commas) rather than in list form. ➤ There is a "Find Crosscanon" section, where you can talk about a character you play and and desired crosscanon for that character. Please make sure this is not too generalized a search, because just wanting general crosscanon can be accomplished with the other sections of the meme. This is for specific characters or character types you're looking for. In the subject, please list the "Looking for [canon you're looking for]" rather than your character's canon. If looking for a character type, list the character type in as few words as possible. Do not make the subject huge or I'll screen your comment. For the actual text of the ad you must use the "Find Crosscanon" form provided at the bottom of this post so that these ads don't get huge. This section is only for game crosscanon as in the psl section people can list their preferences. ➤ Examples of crosscanon you can search for: You play The Flash from DC Comics and your dream CR is fellow speedster Quicksilver from Marvel. Or you might play a witch and want cr with other witches in general. Or maybe you play a good character messed up by evil parents and want to play against a villain character you know has evil parents, because you know it'd lead to some interesting negative CR. ➤ ABSOLUTELY NO obnoxious coding, with the same rules as the Game Ads Section above. ➤ If you're recommending a game to someone, try to match your suggestion to their needs. It's okay if part of your game rec is copy-pasted (such as what the game's about), but at least some part of the rec must be personalized to their ad. Try not to recommend the same game to every single ad, either. Ad spam that isn't individualized in some way will also be frozen or screened. We have several characters in the youngish teen to older teen age range already in game so there’s no issue fitting in whether you play one of the younger kids or one of the older ones. I joined early September so I’m still pretty new but I’ve had no problem getting CR and feeling involved.

Penance is an 18+ horror and sex friendly game where your character has died and ended up in literal Hell. It has an over-arching storyline about involving the politics and other things with Hell (and Heaven) itself. Characters are put though a lot of physical and psychological torment and the more they give into temptation, the more demonic they become. You also can work towards redeeming them and atone for their sins.
As you can see above, doubles are allowed as three versions can exist in-game. (In this case, Akira's from canon Royal while Ren is a CRAU from Prisma.) We welcome not only other PTs and other characters from Persona 5 and Strikers, but you can bring everyone else from past games too.

[game info]: This month, the game's event doubles as a TDM, so TDM characters can impact how things go! To briefly summarize the game, Songerein is where dreams and emotions reign supreme. Players can post passive dreams (basically a recording of a character's dream) and interactive dreams (essentially open logs in a dream setting), but can also participate in the main setting itself. Our last event involved "princesses" being kidnapped by dragons who were looking for their eggs/brood. Characters are able to keep their canon powers in general, but anything gamebreaking would need to be nerfed. Because of the Dreamotion energy, characters that don't have any powers can eventually develop their own.
It's a slow-to-medium paced game, and AC is 2 threads with at least 5 comments each from the player. It's a pretty chill game and really gives a lot of opportunities to explore and develop some fantastic CR!

[game info]: The official game ad for Songerein is here, but to summarize it's a game that focuses on the power of dreams. Characters utilize dreamotion energy to recreate their canon powers, or they can learn new/modified abilities. The newest TDM isn't up yet but it will be up on the 15th~ It's going to be a large Halloween event which you can take a sneak peak here.
The pace is slow-to-medium and AC is two separate threads of 5 comments from your character. If you enjoy slice of life, there's plenty of opportunity for it but there are also the mod events, which are bi-monthly, and also player-run plots to play with if 100% slice of life isn't your cup of tea. I have been playing in this game for a few months now and I really enjoy all my interactions with others. There is so many things you can get yourself into.

It's a very campy horror game with a lot of NPC interaction and ability for just random stuff the players choose to do to directly impact the setting and plot, whilst also allowing people who don't want to dig their fingers too deep into the metaplot to go ham elsewhere. We've had a battle royale, zombies, beach episode, and more!
Ruby's canon-point is currently the start of volume 8, and she's missing everyone more than ever right now because people have just been told that going home is impossible even if they escape the ship. For the other youths there's a lot of other teenagers on board of all flavours, plus plenty of other good CR opportunities with everyone else, everyone's super welcoming to new folks.

Val and Kazu are from when things take a sharp turn for the worse in season 2, but we'd adore castmates from absolutely any point. They've been in game for eight months so a lot has happened -- they're officially engaged, have recently gotten a magical version of mindshare (your character can too!), and are planning to open a restaurant. The city might be a horrible dystopian nightmare most of the time but hey, it's no worse than canon! Come join them in trying to make the best of things. Tease the shit out of Kazu as he fumbles at communicating far too many feelings instead of just bottling everything up. Give Val a much needed hug now that he's confronted his alcoholism. Meet their new friends, nearly all of whom somehow manage to be even bigger messes than the GL kiddos.

Duplicity is a slightly dark-leaning sex game, wherein upon entry all characters are assigned a designation -- either Dominant or submissive -- and must assimilate within those roles, as defined by the city's particular class system and how society treats either one.
To be more specific, the game's overall themes obviously revolve heavily around D/s and adjacent dynamics, but there are often themes of brainwashing, torture, humiliation, dub- and/or noncon as well, in addition to kinks of all varieties being highlighted or encouraged during events, which are monthly and usually involve 3-5 themed prompts with a variety of different kinks for each. In general there are (usually) various incentives for characters to participate in things they might not normally, be those incentives be rewards, punishments, or aphrodisiacs that give them that "push."
Dominants and submissives must pair up for "contracts" (a Dominant may have multiple submissives, but a submissive may only have one Dominant), which effectively give the Dominants ownership and responsibility over their submissives for a period of 3 months, at which point they can renew it, or let the contract lapse and find new arrangements. All characters have a monthly quota of needing to engage in at least three (3) sex acts (which can be anything from voyeurism to mutual masturbation to traditional penetrative sex to, well, anything else) but threading out smut is not a requirement, for AC as well as in general.

[game info]: Folkmore is a panfandom jamjar style game. Characters are brought to Folkmore by an entity known as the Fox (or Thirteen) and each is assigned a role (player's choice) to align with their character: Legend, Myth, Familiar. Each role has certain characteristics and abilities that come with it. Characters are told they're here to reach their full potential -- though what that means is left very nebulous.
Folkmore is an invite-only game, but we've got some available invites between the existing cast for the next app around in November. It's a medium paced game with monthly events and plenty of time in between for non-event shenanigans. AC is check-in only, but activity is rewarded with the ability to purchase/regain items based on the number of comments posted.

[game info]: I'd say Song leans to medium size and medium pace, and is INCREDIBLY backtag-friendly, with fairly simple AC requirements (2 threads of 5+comments for the month). It leans towards being slice-of-life (or SOL+ maybe? There are events and they range from cute to very adventurous thus far) and very character-driven, focused a lot on personal character development arcs and player plots.
There's a current EMP meme here and there will be a TDM coming up on October 15. Happy to answer questions and stuff like that, either here or in DMs!

[game info]: Duplicity is a sex game that revolves around kinks and character's reactions. You're either a Dominant or a Submissive (although there are events where it can change, so if you want to switch you designation, it will likely come up again at some point). There are quotas and contracts, but a/c can just be regular interactions from a variety of different sources (network post, open log, comments, tdm replies). There are monthly events that go on, plus regular interactions of trying to navigate the dynamics of the game.

Characters must also make a choice whether or not to join either the hero or reformed villain (but secretly not, for some villains) guild, or be unaligned, with more freedom and way less resources and the public regarding them with hostility.
Guild relations started out less hostile but are getting a little spicy now, though it's not a faction game. It's more an issue of how the npcs/game world are reacting to unaligned heroes. There is a mystery afoot about some things from the guilds' pasts, too. tl;dr there's freedom but a lot of great ic tension.
Hunter is going to see the guilds as just like the coven system and make some very bad choices to try to make it on the streets. (Though he'll keep doing hero stuff). It'd be a very good thing if one of his friends comes along to kick him for it.
The game is invite-only but everyone gets 1 invite per month. I'd want to chitchat first but am happy to offer one to anyone as long as they're chill!

[wanted]: Honestly any Persona folk- but especially other Phantom Thieves would be welcomed by all of us already here! My own personal preference would lean towards Haru or Maruki if you want that hot fresh negative CR- but I'd be overjoyed to have anyone, really.
[game info]: The official game ad for Songerein is here, but to summarize it's a game that focuses on the power of dreams. Characters utilize Dreamotion energy to recreate their canon powers, or they can learn new/modified abilities. The TDM/Halloween event goes up on the 15th, and can be previewed here.
The pace is slow-to-medium and AC is two separate threads of 5 comments from your character. There's a lot of pleasant slice-of-life stuff as well as bimonthly modded events- plus special events that are run by the players themselves. We also have a very pleasant community who will welcome newcomers with open arms!

Bad behavior is encouraged; events will touch on kink, horror, science fiction, game plot, and slice of life tossed in when needed." Basically, society & player characters are divided into two designations, dominant or submissive. PCs have to find and make contracts with dom/sub pairs, navigate the city based on their designations, and meet sexy quota every month lest they face IC punishments!
it's def a bigger game and can be fast paced bc of that, but I've had a lot of fun building cr and playing with all sorts of folks and characters! I've been in and out of the game since it opened years ago and have always found everyone friendly & fun to play with, and AC isn't too bad either. current tdm is here and apps are open October 16 - 20! 💜
