undergrounds is a small slower paced game that might be fun for you! it's a modern day au where you can app either as a human or a supernatural being. then you pick a faction, and from there you can make alliances, take territories from other factions, etc etc. there's a lot of room for advancing a character politically or gaining them new powers, because ac is super easy with a reward system for bonus activity.
