September EMP Meme
FOR GAME ADS: ➤ Put an ad up with the characters / crew / pairings / fetish you want for your game under the correct game header. This meme is primarily going to be focused on DWRP games but IJ and LJ games are allowed. ➤ PLEASE NOTE A RULE CHANGE HERE. ABSOLUTELY NO obnoxious coding (no font size > size 4 or 3 "big" tags, no oversized banners (they must be 250px in height or less), no blinking text, no obnoxious table html that doesn't collapse easily, no sparklies, no large pictures). Use all the colors you like, but please remember 3 "big" tags is the limit and that's only for headers or title text rather than for all the text in an ad. FOR GAME QUESTIONS: ➤ RPers interested in a game can create a header for the game and ask questions about that game that aren't easy to find on faqs, such as the actual pace vs. what's listed/what kind of plots are run/if the game leans more towards plotty or slice of life/if a game leans more towards network or logs, etc. Both anon questions and anon answers are welcome in this section just like in the rest of the meme. ➤ This thread is not for speaking about wank or drama in a game. There are anoncomms that exist for that. This thread is specifically for general questions about a game that rpers want to get perspective on from players already in the game. Answers can be slightly negative (such as saying app response is slow or that the plots are repetitive or similar things) but this should at least be worded politely. Unnecessary vitriol, any mention of personal drama or wank, or mod teams/individual mods/players being singled out, will be either frozen or screened (based on what seems right based on the content). FOR CHARACTER ADS: ➤ Put up an ad about the characters you are offering. For PSL ads, there is a separate subthread but for character ads for games, post directly to the meme post. Others will comment to you with the games/casts they want you to join. ➤ There is a "Find a Castmate" section, where you can talk about a cast you play in at a game, and try to lure people to join it. Not all games post to the meme or have a "wanted" section, so players that want to tempt people to their cast on their own can use this section for it. Please format this the same as the PSL section, where you post your character's canons in your subject. For the actual text of the ad you must use the "Find a Castmate" form provided at the bottom of this post so that these ads don't get huge. When listing who's currently in a cast, please do this in sentence form (with commas) rather than in list form. ➤ There is a "Find Crosscanon" section, where you can talk about a character you play and and desired crosscanon for that character. Please make sure this is not too generalized a search, because just wanting general crosscanon can be accomplished with the other sections of the meme. This is for specific characters or character types you're looking for. In the subject, please list the "Looking for [canon you're looking for]" rather than your character's canon. If looking for a character type, list the character type in as few words as possible. Do not make the subject huge or I'll screen your comment. For the actual text of the ad you must use the "Find Crosscanon" form provided at the bottom of this post so that these ads don't get huge. This section is only for game crosscanon as in the psl section people can list their preferences. ➤ Examples of crosscanon you can search for: You play The Flash from DC Comics and your dream CR is fellow speedster Quicksilver from Marvel. Or you might play a witch and want cr with other witches in general. Or maybe you play a good character messed up by evil parents and want to play against a villain character you know has evil parents, because you know it'd lead to some interesting negative CR. ➤ ABSOLUTELY NO obnoxious coding, with the same rules as the Game Ads Section above. ➤ If you're recommending a game to someone, try to match your suggestion to their needs. It's okay if part of your game rec is copy-pasted (such as what the game's about), but at least some part of the rec must be personalized to their ad. Try not to recommend the same game to every single ad, either. Ad spam that isn't individualized in some way will also be frozen or screened. Keep in mind this needs to be more specific than "this game has easy AC like you're asking for but meets none of your other requirements." Make sure you're advertising games that might click with that specific character, where a few elements fit what they're looking for. You should be thinking about the story reasons of how the character might click with the game. IN GENERAL: ➤ Don't be a dick. This isn't one of the anoncomms, so any snide comments or unnecessary commentary on the RP plans of others will be frozen or screened. ➤ All mod responses regardless of whether they're rule breaks, correction requests (like someone posting in the wrong section), or thwapping someone for spamming copy-paste ads, have always been and will almost universally be public. If someone sends a PM and the conversation gets combative, this will also be made public and posted to the comments of the mod contact page. This is for the sake of transparency so people can judge the emp mod's communications for fairness themselves. There are times where the player's post may be screened (such as if they posted to the wrong section) but the mod's response will be left unscreened. ➤ Players may sometimes be allowed more than one strike for copy-paste ads since this is often just enthusiasm behind it, but game mods should know better. They'll get one warning for copy-paste ads, and if they spam anymore copy-paste ads after the warning, they'll be banned from the meme. MOD CONTACT: If there's trouble, tell me HERE, please! YEAH, it's honestly an interaction I keep coming back too to read because it was just a treat watching Barry put up with Sonic's antics and get progressively more horrified (in the best way) as it went on. And don't worry about it! Apart from Barry, of my Sonic muses I also have Sir Lancelot from SATBK and recently made one for Honey.

Same. I just lacked any energy to write a reply and right now I'm catching up with tags but I'm still far from it and I'm just- I love Barry, I really hope to interact with them more. Tomorrow the tag will come at worst. I love them so much and the way you rp them is so incredibly cute.
AND LANCELOT OMG. Sonic would try so hard to impress a fellow Hedgehog! And a heddgehog that dresses up as a knight? He'd be like "Cool cosplay, dude!" and probably mess up with the lines of 'playing it cool' and 'this is borderline flirting, tone it down before someone gets the wrong idea' because who doesn't want to impress the only other hedgehog on the entire planet? Honey on the other hand... gods, talk about obscure characters. Tip to the hat on you for picking her! I thought I was a weirdo for having a Sonia profile (from the archie 10 years later comic, mostly for lolz) but this definitely beats it!

AND as a fellow TLoZ player? I fully support it! I have, like, 5 LoZ muses and I think the funniest character I could throw against that Link is probably my Ravio. So much for his idea of 'Mister Hero'. Aaa- sorry, I talk too much!

I feel that. I still have too many tags I need to get back on that I've been putting off from a lack of motivation. And thanks! I'm just finally finishing up TMOSTH so now I think I might finally put them in a game when one pops up or gets open. Likewise, same. Your Sonic is an absolute treasure and as someone who's only seen brief glimpses of the movies, you got him down to a T.
Yeah! SATBK was like my first real Sonic game I got so it held a very special place in my heart, I just had to make a muse for at least one of the knights. Did also plan on doing one for Merlina too. Meanwhile, Lancelot's just going to be wondering why the guy he tried to slay for his king is admiring him
and why his arms are blue(still figuring out if I'm going to be taking Lancelot from right after his fight with Sonic or the aftermath of SATBK). And yeah, sometimes I just like taking obscure and not all that talked about/used characters from different medias and either expanding on them or just for the heck of it. Heck, I've literally been planning on making a muse for the news fish from SpongeBob, because the thought of playing someone who is constantly acting like he's broadcasting while also being genuinely unhinged is hilarious.Lol, I've only played BOTW, I only really know a lot about TLoZ from friends or from videos. Poor Ravio, out of all the Links he could run into, it's the one Link no one wants to remember. Also no worries lmao!

And I feel you. I work for WAY too many hours during the week but bills aren't going to pay themselves. And I love SATBK, I really do, but I'm old and my first sonic game was... the very first one. I used to go to the local bar with my dad to play with their sega and it's tied to so many good memories! Also Merlina! Adorable! Poor Lancelot, too! He's... an adult, I suppose? So be prepared to have a big blue kid fanboy around him because he never ever met another hedgehogs. "Why do your quills stand up in that way?" "Is it the norm for Hedgehogs to have quills like that?" "Can you run as fast as I do? Because I'm faster than the Flash!" And such. And thank you! I think your Barry is a national treasure, I can't wait to cross his path again!
And HEY there's no need to know the entire LOZ lore. Not everyone is mad as I am about it. AND FUN FACT: that screenshot of link? With the hand covering his face? It's one of the many instance that make me LOVE that Link. Yes, the games are awful but he just asked her for a kiss and instead of getting upset (I LOOK AT YOU CARTOON LINK) when she says no, he's just giggling like a child who knows he crossed a line and clearly did it for fun. So BABY. So adorable.
Basically, find me a link, ANY LINK but Cartoon, and I will gush over them.

Mood lol, I grew up more as a Mario fan before I got into Sonic, only really got my first game around the Wii era of Sonic (it was either SATBK or or Colors). Though technically I did visit a place that had a machine that had Sonic R on it, so I guess that's technically my first Sonic game I've tried? Merlina's definitely one of my favorite underrated villains in Sonic (SATBK in general's genuinely pretty underrated imo). And Lol, depending on where I take Lancelot from before or after his battle with Sonic, or the end of SATBK, it'll change his reactions. Though a majority of it would be sheer, utter restraint to not meet his blade with Sonic's flesh. And thanks, I try my best with them, still trying to get their characterization down which... admittedly given they're mostly a blank slate in TMOSTH shouldn't be too hard.
Yeah lol. My own real knowledge of the LoZ series besides BOTW and CD-i, it's Hyrule Warriors (speaking of, have also been considering Linkle as a potential muse in the future). And I've always wanted to try and play a 'meme'-y character in a more serious situation and try to actually make them not as goofy though still trying to keep that same charm they've had.
Darn, there goes all my ideas to play Cartoon Link, easily the best Link of them all, Nintendo doesn't let Link talk because he couldn't match the genius that is Cartoon Link. (This is a very big joke, I'm not touching that Link with a 20 foot pole, plus I've never even seen it outside of the 'Excuse me princess' line and that one 'Smooching time' video)
