FOR GAME ADS:

➤ Put an ad up with the characters / crew / pairings / fetish you want for your game under the correct game header. This meme is primarily going to be focused on DWRP games but IJ and LJ games are allowed.

➤ PLEASE NOTE A RULE CHANGE HERE. ABSOLUTELY NO obnoxious coding (no font size > size 4 or 3 "big" tags, no oversized banners (they must be 250px in height or less), no blinking text, no obnoxious table html that doesn't collapse easily, no sparklies, no large pictures). Use all the colors you like, but please remember 3 "big" tags is the limit and that's only for headers or title text rather than for all the text in an ad.

FOR GAME QUESTIONS:

➤ RPers interested in a game can create a header for the game and ask questions about that game that aren't easy to find on faqs, such as the actual pace vs. what's listed/what kind of plots are run/if the game leans more towards plotty or slice of life/if a game leans more towards network or logs, etc. Both anon questions and anon answers are welcome in this section just like in the rest of the meme.

➤ This thread is not for speaking about wank or drama in a game. There are anoncomms that exist for that. This thread is specifically for general questions about a game that rpers want to get perspective on from players already in the game. Answers can be slightly negative (such as saying app response is slow or that the plots are repetitive or similar things) but this should at least be worded politely. Unnecessary vitriol, any mention of personal drama or wank, or mod teams/individual mods/players being singled out, will be either frozen or screened (based on what seems right based on the content).

FOR CHARACTER ADS:

➤ Put up an ad about the characters you are offering. For PSL ads, there is a separate subthread but for character ads for games, post directly to the meme post. Others will comment to you with the games/casts they want you to join.

➤ There is a "Find a Castmate" section, where you can talk about a cast you play in at a game, and try to lure people to join it. Not all games post to the meme or have a "wanted" section, so players that want to tempt people to their cast on their own can use this section for it. Please format this the same as the PSL section, where you post your character's canons in your subject. For the actual text of the ad you must use the "Find a Castmate" form provided at the bottom of this post so that these ads don't get huge. When listing who's currently in a cast, please do this in sentence form (with commas) rather than in list form.

➤ There is a "Find Crosscanon" section, where you can talk about a character you play and and desired crosscanon for that character. Please make sure this is not too generalized a search, because just wanting general crosscanon can be accomplished with the other sections of the meme. This is for specific characters or character types you're looking for. In the subject, please list the "Looking for [canon you're looking for]" rather than your character's canon. If looking for a character type, list the character type in as few words as possible. Do not make the subject huge or I'll screen your comment. For the actual text of the ad you must use the "Find Crosscanon" form provided at the bottom of this post so that these ads don't get huge. This section is only for game crosscanon as in the psl section people can list their preferences.

➤ Examples of crosscanon you can search for: You play The Flash from DC Comics and your dream CR is fellow speedster Quicksilver from Marvel. Or you might play a witch and want cr with other witches in general. Or maybe you play a good character messed up by evil parents and want to play against a villain character you know has evil parents, because you know it'd lead to some interesting negative CR.

➤ ABSOLUTELY NO obnoxious coding, with the same rules as the Game Ads Section above.

➤ If you're recommending a game to someone, try to match your suggestion to their needs. It's okay if part of your game rec is copy-pasted (such as what the game's about), but at least some part of the rec must be personalized to their ad. Try not to recommend the same game to every single ad, either. Ad spam that isn't individualized in some way will also be frozen or screened. Keep in mind this needs to be more specific than "this game has easy AC like you're asking for but meets none of your other requirements." Make sure you're advertising games that might click with that specific character, where a few elements fit what they're looking for. You should be thinking about the story reasons of how the character might click with the game.

IN GENERAL:

➤ Don't be a dick. This isn't one of the anoncomms, so any snide comments or unnecessary commentary on the RP plans of others will be frozen or screened.

➤ All mod responses regardless of whether they're rule breaks, correction requests (like someone posting in the wrong section), or thwapping someone for spamming copy-paste ads, have always been and will almost universally be public. If someone sends a PM and the conversation gets combative, this will also be made public and posted to the comments of the mod contact page. This is for the sake of transparency so people can judge the emp mod's communications for fairness themselves.

There are times where the player's post may be screened (such as if they posted to the wrong section) but the mod's response will be left unscreened.

➤ Players may sometimes be allowed more than one strike for copy-paste ads since this is often just enthusiasm behind it, but game mods should know better. They'll get one warning for copy-paste ads, and if they spam anymore copy-paste ads after the warning, they'll be banned from the meme.

Jingliu: God please. Please....their implied co-working relationship is just so?? I don't know. I need to know, I'm still not over it. Jingliu's voice line for him....the 🤝 vibes. They barely know each other but also they're Besties^TM. They're in alliance but also they could off each other at any given moment, and they both know it. Maybe?? Maybe it's something like this. MHY has still only given us hints but I'd love to explore and expand on the strange vibes of this relationship some more, even if it's more along the lines of their possible ventures before arriving on the Xianzhou (that we can always gently au in rpland later if canon ever josses us lmao)
Argenti: Look. I've finished his companion quest and I am enthralled. Truly the most guy of all time. This world is Argenti's theater and we're all just lucky enough to be living in it.....so ofc I have to throw Luocha at this man some way somehow. I can just see this being the unstoppable force of Argenti's Intensely Genuine Everything vs the immovable object of Luocha's Hundred Layers of Secrets. The borderline delusional devotion to a dead god vs Luocha's apparent active determination to murder his own patron lately.... ✨ And yes I've also seen fandom tossing these two together everywhere lately, presumably for the prettyman2prettyman communication, and you know what? Also valid. So yeah, would love to bounce off this beautiful man so these two can like, compare haircare products, AMONG OTHER THINGS....it would be a mess ok, I need this,
But honestly I'm also always happy to bounce Luocha off pretty much anyone and everyone else in this bar, whether or not Luocha's actually met/will ever meet them in canon! The rest of the Astral Express crew, Xianzhou and Belobog characters, the Stellaron Hunters, the Herta space station folks....im greedy ok.

💐 I'm always down for crosscanon too! Cross-genre, cross-media, all's fair game. I'm receptive to AU's with discussion or lightly assumed cr; Luocha also hails from a space-faring canon and appears to do plenty of space travel, so honestly this could be an easy vehicle to take his vanilla self to pretty much any crossover world. I should also note here, I am not actually super familiar with the rest of the Hoyoverse (except uuuh, Tears of Themis lmao?? actually are there any Vyns out there, shady doctor solidarity--), but I have some osmosis here and there and would still be happy to roll with any cast cousins wrt Genshin or HI3! Just bear with me as I might need some help with details or AUing into these worlds, etc.

💐 Open to both memes and longer-term psls! I'm usually faffing around on memes and don't mind carrying over cr between threads. I'm also pretty receptive to AUs and canon divergences (the latter which is probs gonna end up increasingly necessary possibly as canon goes on lol), so I'm happy to brainstorm thoughts along these lines if we wanna!

Hey listen, me too. My life hasn't been the same since I finished that companion quest. So I am now manifesting upon your doorstep ready for you to throw Luocha this way if it pleases you to do so. You've made such a compelling point about devotion to deadmissing gods vs. determination to commit deicide. I am listening. I'm more than willing to see where this wacky wild ride would end up.

And finally for the official record—

Oh my god YES HELLO...takes your hand.....nobody gave us any warning about the fact Argenti may or may not live rent free in your head once the companion quest's over, but here we both are now!! Apparently. Love to mentally rotate a man with 100% confidence and the bravado to match it at (almost) all times, they just don't make em like this anymore...

I feel like I should apologize in advance for Luocha probably being inevitably low-key unimpressed and subtly rude about Argenti's everything at least initially, since haha points at their opposing life goals currently...BUT I just think it'd be beautiful to throw them in a metaphorical room together and see what might happen. Endless possibilities.

SCENE IDEAS...I could see Argenti literally sweeping in out of the blue to help Luocha out of a sticky situation somewhere or another. Or maybe Luocha helps him out incidentally, in the form of running into Argenti while he's pretty injured from some venture or another and patches him up? After which point he learns of Luocha's alleged traveling merchant status, and thinks Luocha needs an escort for security until he reaches someplace Properly Safe or something. For convenience's sake this could even be set on some random planet setpiece or another before Luocha arrives on the Luofu / while he's still traveling with eventual intent of reaching the Xianzhou...? But, waves hands, this is just me spitballing so feel free to toss in your own thoughts if you've got any too!

PLEASE... Argenti is indeed built different so that mild disapproval and subtle rudeness might even encourage him to try to convert Luocha to His Point of View with even more determination. The most travelling companions of all time.

A fun timeline there might be that Argenti does absolutely sweep in to help Luocha first. Then inevitably takes his abrupt leave—only to be discovered passed out by Luocha soon after (presumably due to injury). Naturally for saving his life a debt is now owed and by golly is he going escort this (alleged) merchant to where he's going no matter what.

Additionally if you happen to be a hijinks enjoyer: I'm not sure at some point if Luocha would want to try to lose his overly noble escort to go do whatever he's doing with his very secret coffin schemes but there's some humor if he does but Argenti quickly finds him again anyways.

Incredible tbh, I'm living for this already. Argenti saving him first and then Luocha having to save his injured ass instead like an hour later (against his better judgment) sounds amazing, we are absolutely doing this!! Also please do take this as encouragement to convert Luocha even harder sir. Truly the most formidable challenge Luocha has encountered on his journeys through space yet: the most enthusiastically tenacious travel companion of them all.....

Which is to say that god yes I do love me a hijink. Luocha would absolutely try to ""accidentally"" separate from Argenti at some point lbr...to 100% no avail despite his best efforts....how do you keep managing to earnestly pop in from nowhere like this sir. Is this a power of the Knights of Beauty. COULD YOU TURN IT OFF......it's just the sort of enrichment Luocha needs in his life truly. Excellent potential dynamic no notes needed.

I did have a very quick look-see through Bakerstreet. The memes I could find without scrolling far back are the scene prompts meme or the gen texting meme if going from text to action sounds viable. I'll be checking again this evening to see if anything else pops up!

I also have a open post up on this journal primed and ready for hijinks. I'm really not opposed to doing a psl set up if the memes don't work and Bakerstreet doesn't deliver!!

Man I'm negl I'm craving just about any kind of extended interaction between these two, I am wide open wrt scenarios. If we wanna go the pre-Luofu arrival route, there's any number of adventures they might have had...anywhere from them bailing each other out of sticky violent situations to them just hanging out and trying to lay low in more civilized locales (aka Luocha probably having to talk Jingliu down from the joy of murder in the face of rudeness from randos every now and then because they're trying to save the crime payload for the Luofu, keep it together girl, you'll get to have a fun fight or two soon hang in there--) Ofc if you've got any thoughts of your own knocking about def lay them on me too!!

Also do you have any pref towards more of a psl thing, or maybe we could start with a meme thread or two to get a feel? I haven't topleveled too many places lately but I'm sure we could probably find something for them to get up to together hehe

I really, truly wish they had more, so I absolutely get this! I like the idea of some thin bond of trust forming between them maybe because of bailing out of Shenanigans, because I imagine with his connection to the Abundance, she wasn't all that keen to work with him initially until something happened to convince her he really wanted to take Yaoshi down. I also love your idea about them trying to lay low and Luocha having to hold her leash but maybe also something set between meeting Yanqing and them trolling Jing Yuan for "well that was a good run" discussions...

Also I'm up for either! I know bakerstreet is notorious for... well, what bakerstreet is notorious for, so if we can't find much, I'm fine slowly easing into a psl-esque thing!

God yeah very valid of her to be initially leery of his Abundance connections, I'm so curious as to how they actually ended up working together the way we see them atm. It definitely looks like an alliance of mutual cause for sure, and Jingliu does seem to imply in her voice line for him that there's something about Luocha's past loss she finds quite relatable...? If only we knew what exactly that loss was.....sighs I am shaking MHY by the shoulders until more Luocha and Jingliu lore finally falls out. But until then--!

Oh man that's also such a great idea wrt discreet Luofu meetups comparing their progress notes before they stage their Shackling Prison visit?? Please tell Luocha about that scrappy young man you had an ice sword competition with Jingliu, any story about Yanqing bullying is bound to be an entertaining one (im sorry kiddo but it's just true). Meanwhile Luocha's over here simultaneously poking fun at but sighing over Jing Yuan like "goodness that guy sure is sharp, I think I saw him watching me from a rooftop the other day...quite the clever student you raised up there Jingliu....I wanna crack open his mind like a walnut and see what's in there i mean haha what," Lots of great options here!

I'd not mind starting something for us, in any case! I might trawl the ~~non-sexy lmao~~ memes on bakerstreet for anything that might help narrow us down to something to start with, but if I can't find anything we can sure go the psl route too.
