Beautiful Dreamer is an AU game based on the magical girl genre, with an original setting, story and magic system. Characters are AU'd into the world of BD and become Dreamers, magical warriors who are tasked with keeping the dreaming and waking worlds safe from that which would threaten it.
It's a fairly freeform game, but players have a lot of agency within it and open opportunities to engage with the background plot regarding the history of Dreamers and other M Y S T E R I E S that surround the Dream Sphere itself. Dreamers are free to explore the Dream Sphere via excursions which unlock new areas for people to play around in or doing Torment Hunts for your monster of the week fights. Following the Anniversary Event, we can now submit bonus points to rebuild the hub area of the Dream Sphere!
Don't want to be a mahou in pretty outfits? You're free to play mundane characters too! There's usually something for everyone to do, both in and out of the Dream Sphere. The game and playerbase are always happy to welcome new player run businesses to integrate into tags as fun places to hang out!
For those who want to affect the plot and set up their own dungeon area, Disturbances are available via player sign up! Read up on them here. We'll be having another player Disturbance at the end of this month, so if you want to see what one of these things looks like, feel free to drop by and take a look!
BD is a slow to medium paced game. A/C is 10 comments across 2-3 threads every two months.
